The Purge Begins: Tsipras To Expel Hard Core Left Wingers, Including Energy And Deputy Labor Ministers

Tyler Durden's picture

In the first sellside reaction to the latest Greek tragicomedy, moments ago Citi's Richard Cochinos, in a note titled "72 hours for Greece" said what our readers have already known for about 6 hours: namely that "Greece will have 72 hours to implement the changes" and goes straight to the bottom line: "If they are unable to get the package through parliament, then this ends the dialogue and the government collapses.

He adds that "the issue that Greece faces is it might not be possible – cracks in Syriza appeared already over the proposal sent to Brussels, what is coming back is even more stringent than the rejected referendum. There is a decent chance the Greek government will reshuffle next week, possibly fold on reforms. Domestically they can’t afford 3-4 weeks for new elections. The Economic Minister has suggested capital controls will remain in place for the next two-months (though they may be lightened). During the tourist season this is proving to be a death touch to the economy. RyanAir announced last week it is discounting flights to Greece by 30% due to low volumes."

We had a more directed view: in light of his "mental waterboarding", Tsipras who has already lost all his credibility with both his people and the Troika, should do the only possible thing he can at this point: preserve some integrity with his voters, and resign...

... knowing full well that it is very likely that Syriza would be re-elected in the next elections, but meanwhile throwing the ball in Europe's court for the final time, forcing the Eurozone to make the Grexit decision instead of, as Merkel has done passive-aggressively, letting Greece to pick its own poison. Also, in doing so, the blame for the collapse of the Eurozone would fall on Germany, something Merkel's ego would hardly be able to withstand.

And as if reading the collective's mind, Tsipras did already begin the governmental reshuffling, only instead of quitting he has started the purge of the hard-core leftwingers still defending the anti-bailout platform, who are certain to make life a living hell for the premier once he returns to Athens from Brussels and has to explain his actions to both his party and to the population.

As Reuters reports, the first targets of Tsipras purge of "party rebels opposed to an austerity package that will have to go through parliament within days" include the most prominent rebels, Energy Minister Panagiotis Lafazanis, leader of the so-called "Left Platform" within Syriza and Deputy Labour Minister Dimitris Stratoulis, a former unionist and a fierce opponent of pension cuts.

Under a Syriza party agreement, deputies are supposed to resign their seats if they publicly disagree with government policy although there is nothing to stop them refusing to stand down and holding on to their seats as independents.

Terence Quick, a member of the rightwing Independent Greeks, the junior coalition partner in the government, said that any deputies who voted against the government should resign.

"I don't think abstaining or being absent shows you are responsible or honorable in these particular circumstances. You either go in and say a forceful no and you leave or you say 'Yes' and you continue to fight," he said

The next scalp Tsipras would love to have is that of the "uncompromising speaker of parliament, Zoe Constantopoulou, who also defied Tsipras and abstained from the vote" although she would require a no confidence vote to be replaced "but the other rebels would be expected to resign their seats, the same people say."

And if not resign they will simply be among the first group of party leaders sacked, with many more to come as Tsipras effectively morphs into his predecessor Samaras.

According to Reuters, the 40-year-old prime minister "can not afford to wait"  because "a mini-rebellion of lawmakers on Friday laid bare tensions in the ruling Syriza party. The revolt saw 17 deputies from the government benches withhold support in a vote to authorise bailout negotiations, leaving Tsipras reliant on opposition parties to pass the measure."

Dealing with the consequences of that revolt will provide a clear signal of how determined Tsipras will be in pushing through the reforms European partners are demanding.

Whether cooperation with opposition parties leads to a full-scale national unity government, with seats in the cabinet is still unclear but the change has left the future of the radical leftwing government in doubt. The government has 162 seats in the 300 seat parliament.

Then again after Friday's vote, and following this weekend's crushing blow by the Troika, it is almost certain that many Syriza loyalists will exit the party, either voluntarily or otherwise, leaving the ruling coalition with a minority vote, which in turn will likely result in a few round of government elections within 2-3 months.

However, the purge will be only the first of many hurdles now facing the morally and financially bankrupt government:

Clearing out the leftwingers still defending the anti-bailout platform on which Syriza won power in January would underline how seriously the situation has worsened for Greece in the past six months.

With the financial system on the brink of collapse and shuttered banks running short of cash, the six-year Greek crisis has escalated dangerously, forcing Tsipras to change course only a week after voters resoundingly rejected a milder package of bailout terms in a referendum.

There are also questions about how stable any such government would prove, given the deep ideological differences between Syriza and the centre-right New Democracy or Socialist Pasok parties.

But the biggest hurdle is not what Tsipras will do to the government, but rather what, if anything, the Greek people will do to Tsipras. If they have had enough, they may just shift from the "radical left" to the "radical right" as the only remaining political party that hasn't promised the sun, moon and stars, or been terminally discredited.

Unless, of course, the population, so disenchanted by the endless game of political thrones, becomes the first social manifestation of "learned helplessness" and simply refuses to care, instead opting to go gentle into that good night and with it taking what was once the world's oldest democracy.

Folks, we fucked up. We spent way too much money that we did not have. We are going to have to cut spending accross the board, reduce pensions, reduce all government benefits. Yep, we are even going to have to raise the VAT. However, we will be introdcucing a flat tax for everybody.  We will end coporate welfare as quickly as possible.

On the good news side we are going to default with those pricks at the IMF.

Where is this fucking politiian?

I'll raise you one...

Move to a Drachma backed by whatever energy revenues come from a deal with Russia or perhaps pegged to those commodities.  Guarantee pensions up to the poverty level for those that truly need it.  Take all state assets that the EU has/wanted privatized (the electricity Grid, airports and sea ports) and sell them to Greek nationals only.  The cloudy future of the Drachma should encourage many in the Greek Oligarchy to move into hard assets.  For any Greeks that see pension reduction they get automatic stakes in the enterprises that arise from the sold assets.  In place of the EU VAT and any income/corporate taxes, have a national sales tax to spur investment and fund social services.  Greece would be a tourism and energy transfer hub without the disgusting tax complexity of the rest of the eurozone.  They could keep a fairly high level of social services with honest and simple revenue from the sales tax.

While the majority of Greeks are stupidly trying to have it both ways by staying in the Euro and avoiding austerity, the problem seems to be the entrenched Greek political interests.  They don't want an honest solution to the problem but unlike the Greek proles they actually wield the influence to keep this charade going.  Tsipras isn't folding to the EU, he's folding to the Greeks who are doing just fine under the current system of can kicking and bullshit.  Just like the Oligarchs in every other nation, they could give a fuck about "the people".  Much like the supra-national corps their interests rarely converge with the "others" of their own nationality.

Folks we fucked up. We, your Government Leaders, always have YOUR BEST INTERESTS at heart. We are soooooooo sorry that we allowed this to happen.

So pleeeeeze empower us....Give us that second chance....TO FUCK YOU OVER AGAIN.

Tsipras has proven himself corruptable. (How many Euros has he been paid is my only question.)

But this corruption is not just limited to Greece. It is widespread thrught ALL GOVERNMENTS throughout the Globe.

Anyone who places their Faith, Trust, and Confidence into ANY GOVERNMENT WHATSOEVER, regardless if it is Socialist, Communist, Capitalist, a "Free Republic", ad infinitum, needs their fucking head examined as ALL GOVERNMENTS have proven themselves to be the most vile and corrupt of all organizations.

That people are corruptable is no surprise. How can you place your faith into that corruption when it has been made so  empirically evident?

People with granted powers will always, without fail, take that trust and convert it to their OWN SELF INTERESTS. And people actually have confidence that the circumstance will be better for them...if only "their team" gets into power? Now that is a fucking laugh.  Yes I am even writing about the United States, Russia, China, the European Union, Greece, it does not matter what organization that I specify...

Government is NOT a necessary EVIl, but the truth is that Government are EVIL by necessity. And far too many here will willingly choose that evil if they believe that they will garner some special and undeserved benefit.

We are in this predicament because of the follies of Human Nature. They bought YOUR VOTE with promises they never intended on keeping. They DEFRAUDED YOU because you were seeking to defraud someone else of what is rightfully theirs. They played upon YOUR PERSONAL GREED in order to line their own pockets with the proceeds from the Public Treasury.

And then they will want a second chance to do it again after this whole system meltsdown?

And my bet is that YOU WILL EMPOWER SOME OTHER ALPHA LEADER to fuck you over..because it is just Human Nature after all.

I am skeptical. Yanis could be enacting a script to take the heat from the EU and cool out the marks (the Greeks) for more raping. I am open to that. I am also open to it that he really is trying to march Greece right out of the Eurozone and these theatrics are about buying time so that they can get an alternative on-line. If he stays socialist, whatever they set up there will fail, too.

Mark me down if you must, it is okay.

I think they should walk away and let the whole shit shack crumble and melt. I am stunned to see this is what Tsipras is doing. We don't have the whole story, of that I am sure.

Tsipras got an offer he couldn't refuse from one side, but fears being strung up by the other.

Tough spot to be in.

What's most puzzling to me is - why is everyone pretending this debt is every going to be paid in full.

Clearly, the US debt isn't either.

frac reserve currency creation + compound interest = not complicated.

Sooner or later you run out of currency sufficient to service the debt. That's what happens when debt not only grows faster than the currency available to pay it, but when its growth also accelerates by dint of its own growth.

I know this is preaching to the choir, at least that bit but...really -

when do VSP start talking deep haircuts or debt jubilee?

After they do the ff to start the war with Iran?

Tsipras can't bend over fast enough. Someone's got him by the short hairs.

With the new timeframe - surrender or burn - by Wednesday, he's got a lot of people to tell right to their faces that he is going to do everything he can to fuck them.

Good luck with that. It's one thing to lie to the proles, it's another to tell the people that put you in office in the first place - the real ones - that you're going to fuck them, on behalf of the Germans.

Not that they don't deserve it, it's the proles that don't deserve what's coming.

Surely it comes down to this...

Tsipras has to live in greece. His family and friends have to live in Greece. He has to go with the voice of the Greek people and refuse austerity.

It is not Tsipras job to ram EU policy down the throats of his people.

The EU has no authority and no jurisdiction in Greece without the expressed consent of the Greek people.

The right to "self determination" is article 1, chapter 1, paragraph 1 of the UN constitution of nation states. In theory the most supreme legal document on the planet. If the Greeks say OXI, then they have all the power and legal rights they need to do what the hell they like.

That is the risk you take when you lend money to deadbeats. Greece has nothing to lose any more.

Yeah. To hell with the Rule of Law when nobody seems to be in compliance?

Yeah. Choas and the lack of order will solve this dilemma...this predicament.

There will always be another asshole to take the place of Tsipras. You can bet on that.

Many other Human Beings will empower that asshole as blindly as they empowered Tsipras.

Then the EU Ministry will end up corrupting them as well.

The only silver lining in the stormclouds will be that Tsipras may not live long enough to enjoy his ill gotten gains.

Killing him is no solution but it is just a continuance of the same old shit that has been happening for millenia. (Although I cannot disagree with your sentiment at all.)

The sad truth is that there are no solutions and this is due to the corruptability of Human Beings. To place any Faith, Trust, Hope, or Confidence into any Political Leader is an example of misplacing those attributes.

The best alternative is to insulate yourself from most other humans and lead a lifestyle of self sufficiency...if you are able.

Placing your Faith and Confidence into that which is eternal also helps out a bit as this World is going straight to Hell.

Tsipras and Yanis have worked for the EU/bankers to bring Greece to this point.  Why do you think these two handed over the pension monies to the EU?  To make the people more vulnerable for the final move

Now the stench of corruption and betrayal is too strong for it not to be smelled.  They ignore the voters, purge the party and strike deals with the bankers that finally destroy the future of Greece.  Once the deal is signed I would expect the bankers/jmafia behind the curtain to show an iron hand.  First an iron hand financially through the forfiture of collateral (the best of what is Greece) and then when the pain gets too much for the people they will use violence.

Watch for obvious corruption in how the legal process and law enforcement is used by the jmafia working through Tsipras and the govt..  If the people turn to Golden Dawn watch for them to use the media (which they control) to demonize them further and to begin arrests on trumpted up charges (like they have to get Tsipras into power).  Also watch for assasinations (suicides) of any individual who pops up and becomes a serious threat to the plan.

They are close and moving more quickly now.  They smell the blood they crave and may now become ruthless.

You have to be a bankster whore to even get on the ballot! The people are left to choose this whore or that whore in every "election". It blows my mind that the people are fooled over and over again. Tsipras is bought & paid-for and is following a script, just as the usual suspects in CONgress were on the initial TPP vote. The real version of TPP was the "revised" version, which was the original version meant to be passed all along.

I would bet a gold coin that Golden Dawn has already been co-opted a-la the Tea Party.

Hang the politicians and their bankster puppet-masters. The elites HATE the common man and would be happy to kill us all so they could own the world. They're not even human. Democracy is dead! By the time people figure that out it will be too late. It probably already is.

Good question. Their focus seems primarily Nationalist.  They appear to reject Globalist Oligarchical Collectivism, which necessarily includes the worst elements of Fascism ("Internationalist Capitalism") *AND* Socialism ("Internationalist Communism"). Based on their own writing, they don't seem fascist at all.

WHAT BEING A GOLDEN DAWNER MEANS

"...My ideology is not looking to salvage anything from the current economic and social interests that lead nations, peoples and cultures in decline. So I’m an enemy of every power that spreads this disease that finds foothold in the Plutocracy. Whether this power is a military-financial dictatorship or a parliamentary dictatorship. Because those are the two sides of the same coin, and their purpose is to tear down national identity.

...The politicians on both the Right and the Left are deliberately lying, because democracy means "rule of the People", of the society that is comprised by people of common origin ( the definition of the Citizen in Classical Athens). The Social State of Nationalism is the only direct democracy. The state where the people are the only reality and do not need authority but leadership. The People are the real sovereign and rule themselves through their leader. So the social state can fulfill the only possible equality (that derived from Human Thought and that is not a natural, but a human cultural–political creation), the equality of opportunities. In contrast to the transient and fleeting majority of parliamentary governing, the will of the people is the supreme law, and obedience to it results in true justice.

...The economy should be planned to serve the National policy and to ensure maximum self-sufficiency without dependence on international markets and the control of multinational corporations.

...the Social–National State gives the same opportunities of enhancement and conservation to everyone of the different elements of every existence. So, as a Nationalist, I fight all forms of destructive "equalizing" policies (of Nations, Races, Men), and any false artificial inequalities and oligarchies (Money, Political Parties, Perversions).  ARISTOCRACY IS BORN OUT OF MERITOCRACY. THIS IS WHY I FIGHT AGAINST ALL FORMS OF OLIGARCHY."

I looked up Golden Dawn and found articles from the usual suspects, the BBC and Guardian, who freely would allow their journalists to call UKIP racist. I then found some info. On a trial of the Golden Dawn but there is nothing to make me believe that in a country for whom the EU has real interest, these could not have been a set up.

foreign policy mag is a ZIONIST RAG.

Funny how nationalist parties in Europe get the nazi and fascist smear merely for wanting to stem immigration.... but Israel's right wing parties can have ministers serve who openly called for ethnic cleansing, even genocide - and there's nary a word in the MSM

http://www.alternet.org/world/how-israel-covers-its-ugly-racial-holy-war

That there are some violent thugs in the right wing isn't particularly new.

At issue is why GD's platform is so odious to the DEU establishment, and, oh yeah - Zionist Jews.

such as those who run FP, Slate, foreign affairs - indeed, it is hard to find a major news or opinion website that doesn't have a disproportionate amount of Jewish editors/owners staff.

I know, I know

when 2.5% of the population is 30, 40, 70% of editors and managers, it is "hate" to note it, but if there are too many "white guys" at the fire department, like 80% instead of 60%... why that's something we need to all talk about.

**********************************************************
MIGHT it be that GD stands for the interests of the Greek people qua the Greek people - versus globalists and Zionist Jewry?

**********************************************************

You bet it might.

No one, or very few - advocate street thuggery or violence, etc. and its true GD has had some people they should kick out.

But no more so than what happens in Ukraine.

Or Israel.

Because they have never changed their rhetoric on anything ever  and if they got elected, they have such a nasty right wing, aggressive  reputation no one will try to pressure them into anything.  Unless Dieselboom and the rest in the Eurogroup want to get physically assaulted.

So the only option left will be for Greece to stand up on its own.

I'll take your seriousness serious.

Because GD seems to be the most interested in helping the Greek people.

And because this debt is odious and should simply be repudiated, and Greece should leave the EU and EZ for partnerships with the BRICs.

Don 't so easily believe the hype re Golden Dawn.

The press calls GD "Nazis" for resisting massive 3rd world immigration and an ongoing loss of sovereignty - but doesnt say much at all with regard to the actual, bonafide, no kidding Nazis used to engender an anglo-zionist coup in Ukraine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVeBR-hOTlo

Holy Mother of God
You've got to go faster than that to get to the top.
Dirty old mountain
All covered in smoke, she can turn you to stone
So you better start doing it right
better start doing it right.

You're halfway up and you're halfway down
And the pack on your back is turning you around.
Throw it away, you won't need it up there, and remember
You don't look back whatever you do.
Better start doing it right.

On your left and on your right
Crosses are green and crosses are blue
Your friends didn't make it through.
Out of the night and out of the dark
Into the fire and into the fight
Well that's the way the heroes go, Ho! Ho! Ho!

Through a crack in Mother Earth,
Blazing hot, the molten rock
Spills out over the land.
And the lava's the lover who licks your boots away. Hey! Hey! Hey!
If you don't want to boil as well.
B-B-Better start the dance
D-D-Do you want to dance with me.

You better start doing it right.

The music's playing, the notes are right
Put your left foot first and move into the light.
The edge of this hill is the edge of the world
And if you're going to cross you better start doing it right
better start doing it right.

You better start doing it right.

Let the dance begin.

I believe you can not produce any evidence that Iran, which has signed the NPT and allows inspections, is working on a nuclear weapon or diverting nuclear material.

I'd also note that Iran has a right to a nuclear weapon since Israel has hundreds and has engaged in state terrorism against Iranian civilians for years... sometimes posing as Americans when working with a group on the US terror list until the Jew lobby had it removed.

When Fuel Rods are depleted what are the Waste Products?

Let me ask you the question explicitly...

How much 94Pu239 is available as Nuclear Waste?

Is 94Pu239 Weapons Grade Material?

Do you understand that 92U235 is not the only surce for Atomic Bombs and Atomic Triggers for Thermonuclear Bombs?

Do you know that the US Government gives away Atomic Reactors to Foreign Nations?

Do you also understand that they must agree that they will turn over their Nuclear Waste Rods to the United States in return for such an endowment?

The problem which the neocons have is that Iran has NO SUCH AGREEMENT with the IAEA..er...I mean the United States.

As a result Iran will end up with a STOCKPILE of Weapons Grade Plutonium...NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT ON THE FACE. Plutonium can also be used to produce energy for peaceful applications.

But the neocons in the United States Government and the Israeli Government do have a problem with that...

And that is how we are giving them "the bomb" if Obama does not act to steal their Plutonium.

Personally I believe that a producer has the right to keep the gains from his production.

That is the individualist approach after all.

I am not entitled to your production and you are not entitled to mine...by taxes or by any other Socialist machination.

Likewise the United States is not entitled to the production of the Nation State of Iran...no matter how supposedly dangerous it may be.

By the way...We do not play that Red Team//Blue Team bullshit here.

Since you do and that is the reason why you get the junks. And, furthermore, many here do not support the Nation State of Israel.

Agreed, more of the left-right puppet show.  The Greek thing stinks of stage drama drawn out by TPTB to demonstrate the futility of democratic self-rule.  Let me guess, the whole thing ends in martial law and a strong-man/emergency powers dictator (Golden Dawn or not) to block a Greek exit to BRICS so they can be properly sacrificed on the EU altar as disobedient vassals.

For that kind of game, you can't have the liberal left and expect anything. They're very hot on progressivism, Foucault gibberish, feminism, cool motorbikes and cars, free porn for all and Queer theory, but they suck at class warfare. Too well-fed, too much in love with themselves, personal power, whores and status symbols. Useless. They will morph into lackeys of what they purport to fight at the first opportunity.

For that, you need Marxists, and not of the "erratic" kind like Varoufakis, but tough harliners who understand that this is war. You need Lenin-like revolutionaries, real men.

Greek debt crisis: Goldman Sachs could be sued for helping hide debts when it joined euro

Goldman, BofA, Morgan, and a handful of others ought to be broken up anyway.

Well I be damn. He is actually firing socialists, I am(slowly) starting to like this guy. Also, I disagree with ZH that Tzipras should resign. While its true people voted "no", they also want to stay in EU and keep euro. Getting rid of socialists is among the first positive steps for Greece`s better future. I`ll be interested to see if he is for real or it was just smoke & mirror.

The people voted - This guy is ignoring their votes.

Anyone need more proof that voting is a waste of time?

As for the terms 'socialist' 'capitalist' 'democracy' they are all bandied about endlessly. They have no real meaning - they are just buttons pressed to wind up the gullible.

So, things will be coming back as they were last December or worse, except ordinary Greeks will suffer more than before. Namely EU continue extending and pretending that Greece is solvent and that she will implement so-called reform i.e. orders to dismantle the Greek state and continue with further impoverishment of society with NO HOPE FOR ECONOMIC STABILIZATION OR GROWTH.

This is nothing short of insanity, with success measured via propaganda constructs of “All’s Well in the Union” that no one in EU , except for Brussels technocrats was left to believe in.

There will be no reforms in Greece but slow motion crush and collapse of Greek society until next “Crisis” will demand more fiction and more insanity. The Greek state and society has extreme serious, internal issues that threaten their statehood that must be addressed but neither Greek politicians nor EU bureaucrats want to do anything about  them since their corrupted interests are dependent on greed, lies, deceit no matter how much suffering they bring to the population.

Below there is a quote from my comment from few days ago which attempts to explain apparent and now not so puzzling moves by Syriza we are witnessing past few months.

What Syriza accomplished so far is to undermine European leftist movements while it is not itself true leftist at all. It is a party of those former worshipers of EU with cushy jobs that have been pushed away from the trough, rejected by fascist EU pals in their quest for gluttony and left behind to rot. They will take any humiliation only to to suck tit of EU monster bitch. It is beggars party having nothing to do with true left like Greek communists that spilled blood for national independence and justice in Greece in 1948. In this context there is nothing curious about all those inexplicable, strange or just stupid.. moves that deny what actually is going on namely steady progress of fascism in Europe and vicious class war with thousands of dead victims of economic extermination....

The Syriza violated their own manifesto many times during last several months proving again and again that it is nothing but a fake political entity negotiating cash deal for their own leaders while collapsing their own country like many political parties in Greece before. And that’s how Merkel sees it, angry that they refuse payoff so far and hence she pushes ridiculous political demands and instigate aggressive interference into Greek democratic process and internal affairs using methods liken to political terrorism of Munich 1938, blatantly illegal under EU treaty. You can’t make this up even US bullies are calling for sanity in this German aggression only because that they fear that Greeks could eventually switch sides and move into alliances with eastern countries braking up aggressive posture around Russia.

Tsipras achieved on thing though, he himself destroyed Syriza as political force and pulled with him into abyss remaining Greek parties that committed political hara-kiri trying to submit to German bankster perversions years ago.

As I said many times before on ZH no Greek blood on the street no revolution against EU totalitarianism disguised as chocking brotherly love.

power corrupts
challenges to power are corrupted and coopted.

Behind this all, at least is seems to me, is anglo-zionist megalomania.

That is - this isn't about debt or debt obligations - it is about cementing the power of technocrats working for banks ultimately owned by a handful of oligarchs/dynastic families.

Call it globalism, but there is certainly a large Jewish {'Zionist
' is malapropos here} cuckoo egg in the NWO nest.

http://vineyardsaker.blogspot.com/2014/09/anglozionist-short-primer-for-...

Zbig and the militarist pseudo "realists" are, 'anglo' in the sense of not Zionists or Jews, are gunning for russia to remove all rivals

but bear in mind that th eOld Bolsheviks [n/w/s wikipedia memory holing] were largely Jewish and the "oligarchs" who raped Russian wealth were almost all Jews

http://www.softpanorama.org/Skeptics/Pseudoscience/harvard_mafia.shtml

THE POINT HERE is not to convince people who will never even *begin* to allow that organized Jewish interests have acted to pursue their own interests over and over {even if such people would believe it a bout ANY OTHER GROUP - a tacit Jewish Supremacism hiding behind a Potemkin humanism}

The point is - to what extent is the NWO/ZWO **dealing with internal dissent over Greece, Russia, and Iran?"

The NWO isn't a monolith {neither perhaps is International Jewry despite the 56755677 organizations Jews/Zionists have to promote their own interest}....

There might be some throwing under the bus that could happen.

The *resistance* to NWO/ZWO plans is much stronger than some thought...

running this through some potentialities... maybe some in the "elite" will try to throw others under the bus, maybe along anglo/zio lines, or maybe along bank/military lines....

But its possible.

The Iran deal and Likud's efforts to provoke Iraq 2.0 so they have a free hand to attack and annex lebanon, golan, sinai and beyond is in play...

But it is the play of religious zealots - warmongering idiots - and perhaps the divide is between the religious nutjob idiots, and more secular, anti-national forces...

But this week may prove more interesting than most of us would like.

Tspiras and the finance minister that resigned are there to steer the Greeks into accepting the proposals of the Germans. They got the wrong result from the referendum, the threats didn't work and now they have to back pedal and carry on with the original plan of implementing the theft of Greek assets. Once Tspiras is booted out the finance minister will resurface as the Saint of the Greek's freedom and then he will sell out as well.

Hopefully the Greeks will get out of the elitist controlled EU and set up like Iceland. Take the exit plan, but make it 5 months not 5 years.

Clearly Tsipras and Greece overestimated the leverage they had against Merkel and the EU. But Merkel and the EU, evidently unawares, are overestimating the leverage they have against Mr. Market.

Bernanke did the same thing seven years ago. After the Fed had enabled the bubble that had been growing ever larger after the tech wreck in 2000, when the involuntary deleveraging began, he decided it was time to get tough on Lehman as an example to the others. After all, Lehman represented only a fraction of the banking sector, its losses were a couple or three billion a quarter. Nothing, really. Easy to contain. What could possibly go wrong?

Same type of scenario has been playing out in Greece, except that Greece is a sovereign country, not a hedge fund disguised as an investment bank, and its problems are ten or twenty times larger than Lehman's was. No big deal, of course, compared to the whole EU, right? After all, that's what every talking head on BubbleVision is saying. Nope. Wrong.

See that third black swan of the last 15 years wandering at last into the middle of the picture frame? Take the snapshot now so you can show your grandkids that you were there when the third and truly devastating bubble burst. The only question now is whether the March 2009 lows will hold.

The future of Greece may be uglier than many anticipate.

Consider these snapshots from history:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/nov/30/athens-1944-britains-dirty-...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_Civil_War

The division between Left and Right in Greece is strong, with a history of blood.

This is why the ECB's political meddling is so very stupid. Unless a new course is plotted soon, the old tensions in Greece may be reinvigorated in bloodshed.

And don't anyone try to tell me that the ECB is not playing politics in Greece. An agency that is supposed to actively prevent bank-runs is actively causing them. Sorry, that's politics, a perverse and wilful attempt to turn the people of Greece against their own government where there is no technical requirement for it to be so.

Greece is damned if it does (leave the Euro) and damned if it doesn't. Leaving the Euro (but not the EU) *should* be the lesser of two evils, but only if TPTB show compassion and provide support during the transition. This will likely not be the case. Instead, I expect TPTB will want to make the transition as painful as possible (economic warfare) so as to scare any other nation that may be thinking of leaving. I doubt they care even one iota for the well-being and security of Greek citizens and that, in my opinion, positions them as enemies of humanity.

On the course set by the current leadership vacuum I expect to see Greek "bomb outrages" in the news soon.
