Germany pisses on Greece to forget that America shits on Germany.  Someone with more artistic talent than me please turn the following into a larger cartoon: "draw" the cartoon above into the bottom of an outhouse with Uncle Sam with his pants down doing his business over both Germany and Greece and the following thought bubble:

Uncle Sam: *Good dog.  We have your gold and we're never giving it back.  Why, because "fv(& you."  You don't like it, fine, go take it out on someone smaller than you like any good lackey.*

Heute Show is a german attempt at political satire copying the game plan from Comedy Central´s The Daily Show (and not doing a good job at it).  Again, your not getting the real picture from these misleading headlines coming from the german socialist Tyler.  Fortunately, there are some who live in Germany and post here so you don´t have to be treated as push overs.

Brussels is of course the headquarters location of the EU, so the EU is pissing on Greece.

Yep. You can see it in the miners. In the last great bear market after the 70s to 80's run from $35 to $800, gold production actually rose markedly when the  price went from 800 to 400 to 250. The last 5 years ? Nope

Mmmm....there is China's production of gold in the last 5 years...unless you actually believe their published mining data. IMO, that would be like believing the Fed knows how to use optimal control theory to manage interest rate policy.

Tourism is a dangerous revenue stream on which to depend.  All it takes is one good incident to slash tourist visits and wreck an economy.  If you look at a graph of tourst revenue as a percentage of trade, you'll notice that the European countries most in trouble (Greece, Portugal, Spain, along with Cyprus and Iceland who have already had their problems) are the ones that depend most on tourism.  Greece would be more stable with less tourism and more actual industry.

If Germans do form a negative opinion of the safety or desirability of vacationing in Greece, it will be a disaster for the Greek economy.  That makes the Greeks further beholden to Germany and the image of Greece in the German media.

Did somebody point out that the "Heute show" is a satire format, basically a spin-off of the Daily show or whatever the shit with Jon Stewart is called?

While the above is meant as derision of the german media and the EU, I´d venture the guess that it is exactly what the Springer press is thinking but would never dare to publish.

The really obvious questions are nowhere to be found in MSM...like: How do you dig into the pockets of a naked man?

Lars Christensen who was at Danske bank some years ago wrote a report about the state of the Icelandic economy in 2006 and proposed a inevitable hard landing for the economy.

Bankers and politicians who read this report went nuts, some saying that he needed to be "re-educated".

What he said was proven to be correct shortly there after, when the whole thing crashed and burned in a spectacular way.

He recently wrote a article about the euro, well worth reading.

Lars Christensen recommends to those interested in the euro project a book by Bernard Connolly called

The Rotten Heart Of Europe.

"‘The crisis of the euro – a wholly predictable and indeed inevitable crisis – has been seized on eagerly by the European nomenklatura to justify the suppression of referendums, the eviction of democratically elected governments in manoeuvres reminiscent of Stalin’s tactics in Eastern Europe after the war, their replacement by technocrats, and, above all, the transfer of ever more extensive powers to the unelected, unaccountable and explicitly antidemocratic bodies: the Eurogroup; the European Central Bank; the European Financial Stabilisation facility; the European Stability Mechanism – which, astonishingly, has complete legal immunity for itself and its officers; the International Monetary Fund; the G20; the various banking and financial supervisory bodies; and the projected ‘economic government’ of the euro area charged with ensuring fiscal “discipline”.’ ‘The outcome of monetary union has thus been, as predicted explicitly in this book in 1995, the destruction not only of prosperity but of political legitimacy, in every country in Europe…’"

Are you able to understand the deal? It's anohter 90 billion of debt for Greece. And just the billions before were against any law. Gosh read the treaty from lissboa and you'l see that there is a paragraph tellign "No country must bear the debts of another country". Greek has gained a lot during the last years fo the last century, but it all was due to too cheap money.

Even Tyler has written that Greece lied all their way in to the EU. So why are you blaming the Germans for the wrong doing so the Greeks?

That's wrong, and everyone who just blames Germany is wrong also. It's Germany which has paid most of the Greek bills, but anyone here do defend f... Germany. No it's Germany the Nazis again, that such a poor judgement of right and wrong, you shoul feel ashame for yourself about that.

All you profligate Germany haters, hear this: Schäuble is the only man standing true & tall. He’s not pissing on Greece, he’s offering them to regain their freedom by leaving the Euro. If the Greeks had any backbone at all, they’d take it and run with it. As I said before, Tsipras has no money, no friends, not anything you could remotely call principles.

Schäuble knows (presumably he reached that conclusion a long time ago) that any further way bailout in whatever shape or form will prolong the misery for the Greeks as well as for the rest of Europe.

Instead the “Elite” in the Euro-Reichspartei is taking care of itself once again – and no one in the world-wide MSM feels the moral obligation or has the guts to call them on it – once again.

If you don’t agree with this: How about Goldman putting up the 80 billion rescue package? That’s what? Six months’ worth of trading profits?

Frankly, it is almost impossible not to hate the krauts if you have ever negotiated with them (I have).  There is something in their DNA that compels them to exude teutonic arrogance and condescension towards any non german.  They are particularly scornful of the southern European periphery.  We will see how this demonstration of dominance plays out with France in particular.  The message is clear, either get out of the EMU while you have some control over your debt and finances or become a de facto German colony.  The anti-EU parties just received a big gift, i.e.  a stark reminder of why Germany is to be feared, distrusted, and ...yes...hated.

No - it's about money. Would you've borrowed hundreds of billion Euros to corrupt cardshapers? This is what Greece demanded....and got !

If money wasn't so important - why do the Greek people cry for more and more (...and expect not to pay taxes but to buy further properties in Berlin, Zürich or New York - or the next brand new car or even fine clothes - or just to claim for early retirements on a level 7 times higher than in Slovakia or Lithuania -  with borrowed neverpayback-money or money born out of thin air?)
