just about right.
When does gold possession become a thing?
When paper price goes to Zero. Seems to be moving that way faster and faster each week now.
Greeks got extended just enough money to get them through the snap election that's going to be coming up shortly where we find out who replaces Tsipras.
The wrong part of Greece has been extended.
Germany pisses on Greece to forget that America shits on Germany. Someone with more artistic talent than me please turn the following into a larger cartoon: "draw" the cartoon above into the bottom of an outhouse with Uncle Sam with his pants down doing his business over both Germany and Greece and the following thought bubble:
Uncle Sam: *Good dog. We have your gold and we're never giving it back. Why, because "fv(& you." You don't like it, fine, go take it out on someone smaller than you like any good lackey.*
Heute Show is a german attempt at political satire copying the game plan from Comedy Central´s The Daily Show (and not doing a good job at it). Again, your not getting the real picture from these misleading headlines coming from the german socialist Tyler. Fortunately, there are some who live in Germany and post here so you don´t have to be treated as push overs.
To me it looks like the Manneken Pis, a small famous pissing statue in Brussels.
Brussels is of course the headquarters location of the EU, so the EU is pissing on Greece.
... like an EU-re-arranged Tsipras anagram ... Rat Piss ...
Yep. You can see it in the miners. In the last great bear market after the 70s to 80's run from $35 to $800, gold production actually rose markedly when the price went from 800 to 400 to 250. The last 5 years ? Nope
Mmmm....there is China's production of gold in the last 5 years...unless you actually believe their published mining data. IMO, that would be like believing the Fed knows how to use optimal control theory to manage interest rate policy.
"Smell my sweaty nut sac, while I piss on you"
When does gold possession become a thing? /sarc???
After the nuclear dust settles on what is left of Western Europe, North America and the rest of the planet!
I think it's safe to say after 2008 that the Anglo-American/NATO contingent will be taking no prisoners when printing more wealth is worth more than that "yeller stuff" in the ground!!!
pissing gas and all the greek peasants are inside...
I don't Germans will be vacationing in Greece any time soon.
in 2013, 2.3 million Germans went to Greece for their vacations. in 2014, it was 2.5 million Germans. this year might reach the 2.4 million mark
ZH, for all it's splendor, never brought words from anybody in the Greek tourism industry. they see the world, and particularly the Greek government, in a slightly different light
Well, please don't hold back, tell us about this nebulous prism you hold. Just how is it different, Mr. Ghordius?
Tourism is a dangerous revenue stream on which to depend. All it takes is one good incident to slash tourist visits and wreck an economy. If you look at a graph of tourst revenue as a percentage of trade, you'll notice that the European countries most in trouble (Greece, Portugal, Spain, along with Cyprus and Iceland who have already had their problems) are the ones that depend most on tourism. Greece would be more stable with less tourism and more actual industry.
If Germans do form a negative opinion of the safety or desirability of vacationing in Greece, it will be a disaster for the Greek economy. That makes the Greeks further beholden to Germany and the image of Greece in the German media.
To add to this insanity, the Greek politicians mantra for the last decades was that "Tourism is the heavy industry of the country".
Did somebody point out that the "Heute show" is a satire format, basically a spin-off of the Daily show or whatever the shit with Jon Stewart is called?
While the above is meant as derision of the german media and the EU, I´d venture the guess that it is exactly what the Springer press is thinking but would never dare to publish.
The really obvious questions are nowhere to be found in MSM...like: How do you dig into the pockets of a naked man?
me a guy at a wedding this weekend who was on the fence about cancelling his vacation to greece. I told it might be an opportunity to see communist revloution up close lol
Bullets are pretty unhealthy.
Why not vacation in their newly acquired playground, they now own it?
Greek agreement reached on the eve of Monday morning market open....perfect timing!! Never seen that sort of thing before.
I agree..I would not go to Greece if I was a German....
If the Greeks don't burn Tsipras, they have no business bitching about the krauts. Tsipras is the asshat who sold them out.
The Greeks want their cake and to eat it too. They are pretty much a welfare country. Too many people on the public dole.... kinda like the US but more Mediterranean.
If the referendum result agrees with what I wish, then it is democracy.
I guess there is no vote on this deal by the people?
Next up: A German Unity-Rally in Munich in the old Sportsplatz, then over to the Beer Hall to discuss future plans. The new Black Deaths-Head Tax Collection Uniforms of the Bank look smashing and all Herren-Volk can get a low-cost Greek vacation through the new "Strength Through Joy" program. ....
Deutschland, Deutschland über alles...
uber alles in der welt!! uber Greece for sure, German flag flying over the acropolis in ...?
will these bankers ever lose?
I thought next up was to go to the Winchester, have a pint and wait for this to all blow over.
That's a piece of Fried-Gold Ed!
Don't forget the rally at the "sports complex".
The Beer Hall, would that be the Hofbrauhaus? If my failing pea brain is correct, it's down the street a block or two from the Vier Jahrezeiten Hotel where the Thule Society hatched their plots.
Shhhh Shhh....'IgsNay on the Atzi-Nay"....*whistles*
Pride goes before a fall is all I can say to the German government and its cronies in Europe.
Zeig Heil...
I wouldn't be taking holidays in Greece any time soon if I were Germany. We might see a new ISIS treatment trend on Germans by the Greeks.
With the Germans, it starts off with towels around the pool and before you know it, they are claiming the whole country.
Stupid comment!
If you were German you would know that majority is not behind Merkel and Schäuble. Germans fly to Greece currently as an act of solidarity to help the people there.
\box heads gettin cocky ?
Lars Christensen who was at Danske bank some years ago wrote a report about the state of the Icelandic economy in 2006 and proposed a inevitable hard landing for the economy.
Bankers and politicians who read this report went nuts, some saying that he needed to be "re-educated".
What he said was proven to be correct shortly there after, when the whole thing crashed and burned in a spectacular way.
He recently wrote a article about the euro, well worth reading.
http://marketmonetarist.com/2015/07/12/the-euro-a-fatal-conceit/
OUTSTANDING!
Lars Christensen recommends to those interested in the euro project a book by Bernard Connolly called
The Rotten Heart Of Europe.
"‘The crisis of the euro – a wholly predictable and indeed inevitable crisis – has been seized on eagerly by the European nomenklatura to justify the suppression of referendums, the eviction of democratically elected governments in manoeuvres reminiscent of Stalin’s tactics in Eastern Europe after the war, their replacement by technocrats, and, above all, the transfer of ever more extensive powers to the unelected, unaccountable and explicitly antidemocratic bodies: the Eurogroup; the European Central Bank; the European Financial Stabilisation facility; the European Stability Mechanism – which, astonishingly, has complete legal immunity for itself and its officers; the International Monetary Fund; the G20; the various banking and financial supervisory bodies; and the projected ‘economic government’ of the euro area charged with ensuring fiscal “discipline”.’ ‘The outcome of monetary union has thus been, as predicted explicitly in this book in 1995, the destruction not only of prosperity but of political legitimacy, in every country in Europe…’"

Germany is just the fall guy for Goldman Sachs. Do you really believe what even the German MSM says?
stupid msm, stupid german elite.
the world is going crazier every year, no peak in sight.
Oh oh, they are getting all master racy again...
Are you able to understand the deal? It's anohter 90 billion of debt for Greece. And just the billions before were against any law. Gosh read the treaty from lissboa and you'l see that there is a paragraph tellign "No country must bear the debts of another country". Greek has gained a lot during the last years fo the last century, but it all was due to too cheap money.
Even Tyler has written that Greece lied all their way in to the EU. So why are you blaming the Germans for the wrong doing so the Greeks?
That's wrong, and everyone who just blames Germany is wrong also. It's Germany which has paid most of the Greek bills, but anyone here do defend f... Germany. No it's Germany the Nazis again, that such a poor judgement of right and wrong, you shoul feel ashame for yourself about that.
Hell how comes I defend this fucking German politicians? I wish tham ASAP to hell. but not it's me who get bashed and insulted....
The Bitcoiners aren't going to be happy their precious crypto savings just barfed up $30 a coin.
its going up again actually
Do they tarnish when handled?
All you profligate Germany haters, hear this: Schäuble is the only man standing true & tall. He’s not pissing on Greece, he’s offering them to regain their freedom by leaving the Euro. If the Greeks had any backbone at all, they’d take it and run with it. As I said before, Tsipras has no money, no friends, not anything you could remotely call principles.
Schäuble knows (presumably he reached that conclusion a long time ago) that any further way bailout in whatever shape or form will prolong the misery for the Greeks as well as for the rest of Europe.
Instead the “Elite” in the Euro-Reichspartei is taking care of itself once again – and no one in the world-wide MSM feels the moral obligation or has the guts to call them on it – once again.
If you don’t agree with this: How about Goldman putting up the 80 billion rescue package? That’s what? Six months’ worth of trading profits?
Frankly, it is almost impossible not to hate the krauts if you have ever negotiated with them (I have). There is something in their DNA that compels them to exude teutonic arrogance and condescension towards any non german. They are particularly scornful of the southern European periphery. We will see how this demonstration of dominance plays out with France in particular. The message is clear, either get out of the EMU while you have some control over your debt and finances or become a de facto German colony. The anti-EU parties just received a big gift, i.e. a stark reminder of why Germany is to be feared, distrusted, and ...yes...hated.
You write: "There is something in their DNA that compels them to exude teutonic arrogance and condescension towards any non german".
No - it's about money. Would you've borrowed hundreds of billion Euros to corrupt cardshapers? This is what Greece demanded....and got !
If money wasn't so important - why do the Greek people cry for more and more (...and expect not to pay taxes but to buy further properties in Berlin, Zürich or New York - or the next brand new car or even fine clothes - or just to claim for early retirements on a level 7 times higher than in Slovakia or Lithuania - with borrowed neverpayback-money or money born out of thin air?)
The more we learn about this whole fiasco the more you realize it's going as planned.
You lent billions of Euros to "corrupt cardshapers" long before the Greek crisis and you knew it. And you made treaties that you can't throw a financially irresponsibly acting country out of the Euro. Greeks did not force lenders at gunpoint, there were giving them the money, it was their decision. You have to thank your own governments YOU had elected.
Schäuble is a psychopathic, parasitic, self centered, liar and a PRO-PRO-PRO European. Actually they are all PRO-PRO-PRO European, that’s why they are in those jobs. Schäuble and his cronies have an agenda and will see the job through even if it means war or millions out of work.
That little show of his (as well as on behalf of Merkel) was to save their own political arses. As everyone knows they lied to the German Voters, telling them they would never sign up to another bail-out for Greece.
The game is deceit.
I don't understand why Germans don not send their government to hell. At next elections they make their cross for the big parties again, which are responsible for all this mess. Brainwashed sheeples, no better than Americans.
You write: "Schäuble is the only man standing true & tall"
In first place he is Merkels leading Haka-Dancer for the German voters. Since three years.
Considering the almost delirious amounts at least something has to be delivered to the German taxpayers...
"He’s [Schäuble] not pissing on Greece, he’s offering them to regain their freedom by leaving the Euro. If the Greeks had any backbone at all, they’d take it and run with it. As I said before, Tsipras has no money, no friends, not anything you could remotely call principles."
Your comments would have been more timely before Tsipras bent over and allowed himself to be royally screwed by Brussels et al.
He will now slowly fade into the sunset and in 5 years time people will say "Tsipras? Who's he?"
Geld is better than guns for subduing a country.
Not quite sure how Tsipras is going to show his face in Greece again.
WTF. All that bollocks Charlie Hebdo crap is nothing compared to this.
This is full on openly laughing at Greece.
However I do think Tspiras is a fuckin' sell out to his people. If he was looking to swing €25bn to recap banks without consequences, so that Greek people could get something out before complete collapse, I'd maybe think he's a shrewd player, however he is signing over Greek assets to do it. So he's a fuckin' muppet.
This is full on retarded.
You totaly misinterpret this image! The heuteshow is a satire show and the "Manneken Pis" is a landmark sculpture of Brussels.
The message is Brussels pisses on Greece and not Germany!
It shows the sad level of general education here in the forum if you don't understand the real message.
And meanwhile everyone should know that Merkel and Schäuble are not Germans but alien
Americans aren't the brightest people. Look for the imbecile ''Seek Truth'' to attach some babblical passage to all this. LOL
In the last days there will be pissing and the gnashing of teeth.
Not sure who this is directed at?
I skipped "Manneken Pis" in school in favor of a stationary engineer apprenticeship.
I appreciate the cultural education.
In these crazy times satire is much closer to reality than anything else. It's just that the people can't realize it and think it is ironic. They laugh about their own inability to understand reality.
"HEUTE SHOW"
Different to some wicked TV-Shows in Greece this is a Satire TV-Show and the picture shows not a blow against Greece but a blow against the EU-puppets in Brüssel (pissing man fountain - a famous touristic landmark in Brussels) & government in Berlin itself. Learn to understand Satire.
At best we can discuss if this heavy critic against Brüssel/Berlin is justified or not....considering 500 billion Euro down the drain and another 100 billion following the next days...
People should remember that Hitler first proposed a European currency.
Just different players now but with the TTIP coming down the pike the FASCISTS have won, 80 years later.
wait, weren't the Greeks boy lovers? So does that imply they LIKE being peed on by litle boys then? oh man I KNEW the greeks were kinky but...
