Tsipras Interviewed, Sticks Foot In Mouth: "I Signed A Deal I Do Not Believe In But Am Willing To Implement"

Tyler Durden's picture

Here is the punchline and the only thing the German, Finns, Dutch, Slovenians, Slovaks, and the Baltic states will hear:

  • GREEK PM TSIPRAS SAYS I SIGNED I DEAL I DO NOT BELIEVE IN BUT I'M WILLING TO IMPLEMENT AND WILL ASSUME RESPONSIBILITIES

And now over to Schauble.

* * *

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is being interviewed on Greek TV:

  • TSIPRAS SAID MERKEL HAD DENIED THERE WAS GERMAN GREXIT PLAN
  • TSIPRAS: SCHAEUBLE HAD TOLD VAROUFAKIS OPTION WAS DEAL OR EXIT
  • TSIPRAS SAID MERKEL HAD DENIED THERE WAS GERMAN GREXIT PLAN
  • TSIPRAS SAYS WILL TRY TO KEEP PARTY, LAWMAKERS UNITED
  • TSIPRAS SAYS DEFAULT, RETURN TO DRACHMA WAS NOT A VIABLE OPTION
  • TSIPRAS SAYS NIGHT OF GREEK DEAL WAS BAD NIGHT FOR EUROPE
  • TSIPRAS SAYS EU SUMMIT RESULT WAS RESULT OF PRESSURE TO GREECE
  • TSIPRAS SAYS DEAL INCLUDES HARSH STRUCTURAL REFORMS
  • TSIPRAS SAYS HAD TWO OPTIONS: DEAL OR EXITING THE EURO

  • TSIPRAS SAYS DEAL INCLUDES DEBT RESTRUCTURING AFTER 2022
  • TSIPRAS SAYS AGREEMENT GIVES GREECE OPPORTUNITY TO EXIT CRISIS
  • TSIPRAS SAYS GREECE WILL NOT HAVE TO CUT WAGES, PENSIONS

You would think the best way for Greece to spend the little bit of money they still have would be to employee some of the best known preppers and have them teach the nation to survive and thrive.

As much as you hate Varoufakis you should be willing to agree that he was effectively acting as an employee/agent of his PM.

Tsipras is the executive: the guy calling the shots and committing Greece legally to agreements.   IF Tsipras later claims he agreed to terms that he didn't believe are in the best interests of Greece he should simply say that he was pressured and couldn't do any better -and demand that the parliament vote NO to the odious agreement...

Varoufakis apparently didn't wish to continue supporting and implementing the decisions of Tsipras and quit his post as he should have.

Varoufakis reached the point where he believed further concessions were not in the interests of the Greek citizenry, said as much, and resigned.

Tsipras owns this mess.  He was either coerced or blackmailed or bribed or a combination of the three.  It is Tsipras that must recant before the Greek Parliament or resign.

Unlike Tsipras, I don't see much reason to be acrimonious towards Varoufakis.

TSIPRAS SAYS AGREEMENT GIVES GREECE OPPORTUNITY TO EXIT CRISIS

You can be so delusional:

The Greek Government currently owes 323 billion euros — almost three times as much as it did in 2010 when debt was 110 billion euros. The debt rose 213 billion euros, during 5 years of IMF-imposed “austerity” — the Greek depression.

I don't recall hearing that Greece either did or did not do anything in the way of getting set up for an orderly exit. Hence, it would follow that no exit was ever planned.

HABITAT: Cyclops live in freshwater, such as ponds and lakes. They prefer areas of still water with a lot of algae.

THEIR PLACE IN THE FOOD CHAIN:

Cyclops are omnivores; they eat algae, small animals, detritus but not usually fish. But weak fry MAY be harmed by these copepods.

Some species of Cyclops are not free-living, existing instead as fish parasites, but these are not common.

Tropical and native fish enthusiasts utilize the cyclopoids as a high protein live fish food, especially for immature fishes, and in a fair twist of fate, some Cyclops species have been found feasting on larval fishes, particularly in fish hatcheries.

All I hear over and over again is this MARXIST CLAP TRAP about how Greece is being so abused.

When are we going to start considering the plight of the hard working Euroland taxpayer who is now expected to stump up some additional tax money to bail out the wild out of control spending Greeks.

How soon it is forgotten that Greece, with the help of the vampire squid Goldman Sachs, cooked it's books and essentially 'CHEATED THEIR WAY INTO THE EURO'!!

All of the Syriza-Marxist lovers should consider this option;

I wouldn't compare this man to a little girl or animal.

A little girl given the decision to either have her country raped and pillaged or to go their own way most certainly would decide that the best bet would be to have faith in her country and leave.

An animal offered this choice by a banker well would most likely run away or attack. Both would be good options but neither woudl result in accepting the deal.

Several countries finance ministers, including Alexander Stubb of Finland, have stated that IMF participation is an absolute 'RED LINE' for them. So it looks like the deal could be off if the IMF does the 'thumbs down'!!

Why the fuck would the IMF give it the thumbs down, AFTER the event? Even they aren't that fucking stupid.

Because the "event" was a cobbled up "decision" of the EuroGroup, a mouthpiece for Germany, without the IMF.

Do you actually believe the other countries in the IMF, US, Canada, UK, China, India, Russia, Australia, etc should just allow Schauble to decide what they will have to pay to prop up Greece and the euro?

Politicians are like dogs (not trying to give dogs a bad name) and always run to the next fire hydrant to smell and pee on rather than listen to their masters voice (voters). If they listened to their master he/she would say “listen politician, stay where you are and stop running off in new directions your antics are killing me…”

"I will assume responsibilities."  BULLSHIT - what the hell does that mean?  How can you take responsibility - how do you prove that - what happens to you - NOTHING!  How about you stand in front of your parliament and let the people hang you until you're dead - that would go a long way to asuage the pain your own people are about to feel.

This is the "new" buzzword for politicians.  I assume responsibility with zero consequence. It's meaningless. Obama the buttfucking chimp says it all the time.

Tsipras' conduct has been perfectly understandable since taking over the government.

After all, politicians want to be famous and not forgotten.  He got his wish.

As the Troika said when they dropped the silver pieces on the floor by his feet:

"You'll be remembered forever for this."

the real civil war is going to happen in spain in about 5 years form now. not in greece.

why?

the west and nazi's know all the maps and military maneuvers accomplished by franco. they know the spanish won't trust the russians with moscow gold.

they also know that all said and done, the spanish military is ready to kill a couple hundred thousand spaniards. they did it before. they'll do it again. quicker this time, with more effective weaopnry and western propoganda backing them up.

after spanish civil war 2. we get world war 3 a few decades after that , around 2045. i should be 65 if i last that long. i'm looking forward to it.

Was George Washington really the last man alive that had what it takes in a top political/leadership position?  The planet is in sorry shape.

George Washington - (think of our Congress and President as you read this, and all the other egotists that think so highly of themselves)...

Moving to reinforce Mercer’s broken line Cadwalader’s brigade of Pennsylvania militia, Delaware and Philadelphia light infantry, and a small unit of marines – all told about 1,500 men - moved towards the British.  Despite their numerical superiority, the inexperienced Americans began to fall back under the steady fire from the British regulars.  As Cadwalader reformed his line, up rode Washington astride a magnificent white horse.  Amidst the flying musket balls Washington coolly assured his soldiers, “Parade with us my brave fellows! There is but a handful of the enemy and we shall have them directly!”   Washington then proceeded to lead the militiamen forward from the front.  He at one point was only 30 yards from the British line – easy musket range.  John Fitzgerald, one of Washington’s officers, reportedly pulled his hat over his eyes, expecting to see the General shot from the saddle at any moment.   Despite his proximity, Washington remained uninjured and his galvanizing presence stabilized the American line at a critical moment in the battle.  Soon Washington, along with fresh reinforcements, were chasing the remnants of Mawhood’s broken force through the fields and woods.

WTF with this deal and more debt.

They will never ever pay it back.....they dont have enough GDP to create revenue in order to generate enough taxes. That's the mathematical bottom line. Even if they did, the culture in Greece is to dodge your tax until the day you die....so the Gov't can only live off perpetual borrowing (ie debt). WTF on how to live.

Therefore you can undetstand the only way for the creditors to get their money back is via Greek assets.

The Greeks are 100% fcked. They are going to suffer worse austerity and never ending depression (financially and mentally)....and didn't the just vote to say they're done with austerity?

The more i think about it, this is a total open door to steal everything Greeks have because partying forever like its 2004 has its fcking consequences.

Personally i would have sold the referendum with brutal honest truth (ie debt can never  be repaid, declare default, suffer the harsh consequenes OR cintinue as slaves the rest of our lives and lose everything we have) and if the dumb fcks greeks voted yez to stay then resign because you tried. But the referendum was a wasted opportunity.

Fckkkkkkkk.....dumb dumb shits.

People should just stop paying taxes and stop working and see how this ass clown gets the money to pay his new masters.  He betrayed his country, gave fiery speeches to turn around and give the whole fucking country away on a silver platter.

Lesson learned: Never ever trust a politician.  Never ever trust a Banker.  Never ever vote for anything.  Prepare yourself.  Never depend on governments to protect you.  This is every man and every woman has to fight for their own rights.  Nobody is coming to rescue you.

Become self sufficient and tell the system to GO AND FUCK THEMSELVES.

The best proof of how severely fucked up the greek society has become is that they regard NOT living on fraud and theft, euphemistically referred to as "borrowing", "bonds", "loans", "credit", etc, as constituting "austerity".

This is what the mafia said about the RICO act when it was passed.

Greece is a failed society, culture, country. Recycle them.
