Tsipras Stunner: Creditors Said "There Is No Point In Holding Elections" In Bailed Out Countries

Tyler Durden's picture

While Germany's finmin Schauble is about to burst at few capillaries after reading the latest provocation from Tsipras in which he said, according to Reuters, that:

  • GREEK PM TSIPRAS SAYS I SIGNED I DEAL I DO NOT BELIEVE IN BUT I'M WILLING TO IMPLEMENT AND WILL ASSUME RESPONSIBILITIES

It should be the Greek people that are reeling by another, even greater stunner, just spoken by the Greek PM during his TV interview: an admission from the chosen Greek "leader" that Greece, as a
sovereign nation, no longer exists:

  • GREEK PM TSIPRAS SAYS LENDERS GIVE A MESSAGE THAT IN COUNTRIES UNDER A BAILOUT THERE IS NO POINT IN HOLDING ELECTIONS

So the Troika makes it clear that countries under a bailout, such as a Greece was and is about to be indefinitely again, democracy is finished and the country becomes a sovereign ward of a few unelected bureaucrats, and the Greek "prime minister" who also just admitted he is now nothing but a puppet of Greece's new unelected leaders, is Ok with this.

The good news, at least for those who seek to connect dots, is we can now close the book on what Schauble was talking about when he said "Aber glauben Sie mir, das Problem ist lösbar" in this 2011 interview with Welt am Sontag:

Schauble: "We decided to arrive at a political union via an economic and currency union. We had the hope - and we still have it today - that the Euro will gradually bring about political union. But we're not there yet, and that's one of the reasons why the markets are distrustful.

Welt am Sonntag: "So will the markets now force us into a political union?"

Schauble: "Most member states are not yet fully prepared to accept the necessary constraints on national sovereignty. But trust me the problem can be solved."

At this point it is probably also worth repeating what Latvia's outgoing president Berzins said two weeks ago:

[the Greek] debt is so big that everyone understands that it won’t be repaid.... Loans to Greece have just bought time so that those in power don’t have to take decisions. This is like a game: who can hold out longer by not  showing that this money has been lost? This burden has become bigger and there obviously is no possibility to repay.... The debt writedown of Greek debt will come after bankruptcy of state.

Perhaps it is only fitting that democracy officially dies in the country in which it was born, a country which is about to very clearly demonstrate to the rest of the world that in this day and age, banks have infinitely more power and leverage that "sovereign" nations.

As for the Greeks: enjoy your now official "second-rate citizen" status as slaves of Brussels bureaucrats even as you liquidate all your most valuable assets, and hand over your gold for the generous honor of being allowed to repay the Troika's debt.

The only chance Greeks had to go after the banksters was before 2010.  Merkel took that option from them by bailing out those banks.  They are already paid off and feeling fat and happy.

This reminds me of the Vichy French.

(For those who never studied WWII history, the Vichy French was a government that was put into place essentially by Hitler).

Vichy Tsipras, I am so disappointed.

Please Greek people, throw the bum out of office.  Secede from the EU and let the chips fall where they may.  There will be much pain, but it will end quickly and I believe there will be adequate humanitarian aid for things like insulin.

Why then continue when Tsprias KNOWS this deal is signing away his country to another power, that he is putting democracy to the sword, that the debt is so huge as to never go away?

He is knowingly putting a gun to the head of Greece and pulling the trigger. And he still going to do it ... why?

This sounds just insane.  Do they have his children? Family? Are they going to Assasinate him? What?

I only heard this from one source. She said how Germany would conquer a country, in the Second World War, was like this: surround the country, not allow any traffic in or out, and when the country had starved enough, they welcomed the Germans waving ans smiling as if they were liberators.

I see a resemblance between that and what Germany is doing to Greece today.

The deal is to bailout Greece by giving Greece money to give back to the banks which was created by 'printing' it from thin air in the first place.

And for this they also want to owner all Greece's assets, and end Greek democracy.

You fucking morons, or should I say Troika-Trolls.

Voting means nothing.  Voting is an illusion to keep the masses distracted.  You are only voting on talking heads, but the real action happens afterwards behind closed doors.  Nobody monitors what these morons are doing, talking or deciding.  Years after they have left office, some papers come up, or become "unclassified" and you hear about the shit that was done 20 years ago.  The game goes on and on and on.

I wish we had a Monarchy again.  At least you knew who you were feeding and why.  Nowadays the waters are as murky and unclear as black paint.

Totally disgusting.  After this, everybody should learn the lesson and get prepared.  Distance yourself from parties and politicians.  Become self sufficient and start thinking independently.  You don't need these morons to take care of you.  Humans have been taking care of themselves for millenia.  They are not your protectors, they are parasites feeding off you.

Good night.  Enough said.

Hey. I have an idea. Why doesn't Greece agree to pay ALL of the money back the day after the next election. Then, when the people vote in a government that doesn't agree with that, we can accuse the creditors of killing democracy when they expect the original agreement to be upheld.

Does anyone at ZH even THINK anymore?

If you read the accounts of where this perspective came from (that the Troika destroyed democracy of debtors), that's pretty much what the issue was.

You tell me, does Greece need to honor commitments made to the EU in a prior administration, or does the fact that a new government was voted in mean they can ignore what was previously agreed to? It's that simple. There's no "evil bad guys" here - at least with respect to this issue.

EDIT: FWIW, I'm on record repeatedly here as saying Greece should default - so don't think I'm writing from a pro-EU stance.

Crocadile

That is because the bankers wrote the bible. Constantine the great was a British born warlord who killed the vedic priests in the vatican and establiished Christianity by the sword. Rome wiped out the nature religions of the Celts and Germanic People. Of course it is going the way, they wrote the play. In fact Constantine studied Veda in India for quite sometime.

200 years ago the west believed the earth to be flat. These are the same people who present you with their version of the bible hammered out about 2000 years ago at the council of Nicea. In 321 A.D. Emperor Constantine decided sunday was a day of prayer as it was a day of sun worship among the pagans. He was a suspicious man as he put to death his own son and his wife due to suspicions, he massacred all of his rivals and was then canonized. In the Council of Ephesus, which was held in 431 A.D., monks and bishops screamed: “Whoso speaks of two natures is a Nestorius, and let him be cut asunder”. A bishop was kicked to death by another bishop in course of their arguments, and 137 corpses were left in a church to attest the convincing reasons by which the most ruffian side proved its orthodoxy. Such were the assemblies of saints who formed the pillars of the structure of Churchianity. We can easily imagine the nature of the guiding spirit of those councils, which established the creed of the church. From the beginning of the history of churches, down to the present day, freedom of thought and freedom of speech, that are the most essential characteristics of true religion, have been suppressed; and fanaticism, bigotry, curses, anathema, religious persecution, tortures of inquisition and diabolical crimes have been committed in the name of religion.

Even Islam had Vedic beginnings.   Few are aware that Constantine had journeyed to India and studied Vedic text under Brahmins. Then he went to work. The Papacy was “a Vedic priesthood” until Constantine the Great killed the Vedic pope to replace him with the head of the hitherto unimportant Christian sect. This instantly ensured the Europe-wide triumph of Christianity because of the “sacred sway of the holy hoary Vedic priest known as the Shankaracharya” There has been debate over the veracity of his faith because he was baptized only on his death bed. See article on the Constantinian Shift. He was British born. The chief priest (the Pontifex Maximus) was from the time of Constantine forced to call himself a Christian priest. Maximus is the Sanskrit term Mahattamas, i.e. “the topmost”.

The emperor Constantine convened the council of Nicaea around 369. He called all the “holy men” of the day who were “under divine guidance” to meet in Turkey as it was convenient for all. Eusebius was the only deacon invited due to his recent war record where brought the sword of the Lord against Arianism. The doctrine of reincarnation was done away with and it was even debated whether or not Alexander would be divine also and equal to Jesus. Books on Arianism would be burned and anybody caught with one would be executed. That is when the killing went into high gear in Europe the Irish and Germanic nature religions would convert or die to the new Christianity of Rome. Religion had joined hands with masonry and now labeled the eternal Vedic truths as “paganism.” Constantine began butchering the Gnostics of which the disciple Thomas was once a practitioner and the Vedic tradition of Tantrayana is very much a part of. British warlord Constantine debated as to whether or not to include Alexander along with Jesus as being divine when he murdered the Vedic priests in the Vatican, wrote the bible and mangled the ancient manuscripts to his advantage.  He had no choice at that time due to the statue of Alexander in this period. It was decided against it however. The Great one was heroic but nowhere near the statue and warrior spirit of Lord Jesus. “‘King James’ Bible in 1611, was a work of social engineering by the English Elite. This was undertaken to coral the masses into mental servitude  to Luciferianism/Rosicrucianism.

It was a step away from true spirituality, whose tenets presented a clear danger to the establishment then, and as it still does today. In the late 16th century, immediately prior to the KJV becoming the de facto standard bible, Sir John Dee, left,  was an Enochian black magician.  Dee and Francis Bacon, the author of ‘The New Atlantis’ were both instrumental in the production of the KJV.  As the Bible itself exhorts us to stay away from occult and witchcraft practices, it is paradoxical that Christians should embrace a work mastered as it was by high-ranking members of the occult. As well as being Queen Elizabeth’s ‘spymaster’, Sir John Dee was a prominent member of The Worshipful Company of Mercers, which are Masonic Lodges by another name, led by a Worshipful Master.” http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/?p=73505 Now getting around to the matter of what Jesus really said can be found in the Essene scrolls. How do I know this? Well because it is common sense. It fits the definition of reality and makes no money for any organization. It is in line with most other religions including native American stories. You will possibly not convince many westerners of this without it appearing in school texts, sunday school classes or Fox News and other venues.

Many of the west simply do not except anything unless it threatens to cost them their employment or a certain level of comfort. Sometimes even that is not effective. Maybe the church can save you but always remember, they want 10% off the top. Beware that faith does not overshadow reason.

Banks, the banking industry and the monetary system have become a joke.

Banks have become strange hybrid institution where the profits remain in private hands and the losses are socialised.

They need “too big to fail” status because they know they can’t stand on their own two feet in the marketplace and need the crutch of a Government backstop.

It is the nation’s responsibility to recapitalise its banks when bankers have run them into the ground.

The nation has to borrow money from banks and pay interest on those loans.

Banks can only create money from new debt and the world is drowning in debt.

The Central Banks can print money by the trillion to bail out banks but can never contribute a single penny to help the nation’s population.

This is madness.

Governments can create money instead of banks.

The money saved on interest can cut taxes for everyone.

Money can be created to directly help the nation’s population.

It is time to end the madness, visit the Positive Money web-site for more details.

US threatens Germany to destroy them by killing their economy, the way is to criple their banks, like they did to Credit Agricole in France and fine them with a heavy fine and exclude them from the dollar flow....

Germany tries to implode the EU and EU economy , what would render EU worthless to US.

And to achieve this goal, Germany is using Greece, tries to hurt NATO, tries to show to US the finger.

This is my quick analysis  of what we can see now. There are much more factors in the game, which makes it opaque. After the smoke will lift, we shall see, that Germany will be at the european end of BRICS.

The US and UK will be dumped. But I hope, that Germany and BRICS do it without the confrontation with Tel Aviv and with US.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Thomas Jefferson

Very simple, really. You're either willing to make the sacrifice or you're not.

I see this as the corruption and concession side of the movie. When do the Spartans come in?
