Peaceful protest only works when the organization being protested against is open to compormise. Germany the ECB, and the Greek Government are clearly not or this would have been resolved long ago.

What I lean towards is a form of organized disengagement from the systems that enslave us. Of course this does not come without a heavy price. Though I have never seen active warfare, I have seen the results of explosions and serious trauma. And this was in a modern medical facility and the number of casualties was small and manageable. I must disclose though that, although I have many an interest in the fate of Greece, financially and otherwise, I do have an escape route from the eventual conflagration that in my opinion will ensue here. The same cannot be said for many of my extended family and friends who are trapped without an exit. It is quite clear from where I stand as a dual citizen that Greece and the Greek ethos has been scheduled for extermination.
I think, as you have said, the key word is solidarity. In the final hour, the Greeks have been known to put up a good fight in defence of individual freedoms, and if, as I have stated here before, we can find the will to think a little outside of the box, we can perhaps rise above the manufactured divisions that keep us in a perpetual state of conflict and spiritual poverty.
