The GOP's Biggest Nightmare: Trump Dominates Fox News Poll

Tyler Durden's picture

Demagogue or not, The Donald continues to gain support among Republicans for the GOP Presidential nomination, according to the latest FOX News poll, and among Republican primary voters, Trump now captures 18 percent: more than his closest competitor, Walker.

He’s closely followed by Walker at 15 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 14 percent. No one else reaches double-digits.

As FOX reports,

Support for Trump is up seven percentage points since last month and up 14 points since May.  He’s also the candidate GOP primary voters say they are most interested in learning more about during the debates.

Walker’s up six points since he officially kicked off his campaign. That bump gets him back to the support he was receiving earlier this year. In March, he was also at 15 percent.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul gets eight percent, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio receives seven percent, former neurosurgeon Ben Carson comes in at six percent, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee get four percent a piece.

Here's Martin Armstrong on the matter...

Tump-Donald

Trump is hitting very hard, clearly tapping into the emerging anti-establishment politician trend. He bluntly states, “Who do you want negotiating with China? Trump or Bush?” You could expand that to Hillary. Her negotiations amount to how much they are willing to donate to her questionable charity. People setup such charities because they have money to give back TO society, like Bill Gates. The Clintons started their charity when they were broke. Who is the charity really benefiting and why did Hillary shakedown countries as Secretary of State to pile in money to their questionable charity?

MSNBC keeps trying to focus on Trump’s comments on Mexico. They give him tons of airtime in an attempt to discourage people from voting for him, but they may be creating the exact opposite. Despite what everyone says, he is tapping into the increasingly popular view that everyone is starting to feel, having had enough of politicians, or at least the ones with a brain.

A few here get it. While Trump may or may not stay the course, and he may or may not be a great choice for President, he at least voices the concerns of 99% of the legal people in this country: illegals, H1B visas, crony fascism, and he calls out bullshit from the left and the right. Additionally, is he really worse than the liar in chief who is now President ? Would any of the declared candidates right the ship of state ?

While I don't trust Trump, I sure as hell don't want any of the other clowns. At least Trump would be entertaining as the ship sinks, somewhat like the band on the Titanic playing on...

I understand your frustration, but in order to convince me that voting doesn't matter, even if I don't like the choices, you would have to convince me that I would prefer Hillarity over Trump or Walker.

Are you serious?

Not voting is a cop-out for lazy people who don't care if they have the right to complain.

Get off your ass and vote for the least worst candidate, or shut up.

You are just as much a part of the problem as they are.

Tell that to the Greeks over at the birthplace of democracy. It's the political class that's apathetic.

Sorry to say, but the "qualities" it takes to succeed in politics are despicable and among the worst characteristics of humanity.

You make my point perfectly.  They could have voted for Golden Dawn, a party the wants to return the control of Greece to the Greek people, but they chose instead to vote for a cabalist controlled socialist party that sold them out to cabalist bankers - but gave them their pension check.  What you want is the results of democracy without being prepared to make the sacrifices that make it happen.

In the future, I would recommend that you use an example that supports your point.

So many trash talk greece at my workplace, but if USA was in the same place as Greece with the bankers here, people would unanimously choose to hand over sovereignty in exchange for the next paycheck.  I look around at grocery stores and malls...No one is ready to sacrifice the junk food, shopping and entertainment for true freedom.

Good points. Please don't take my comments as badmouthing the Greeks.  There were more Greeks that voted for Golden Dawn (probably more than we were told about by the cabalist controlled MSM) than there would ever be Americans that would vote wisely for the preservation of their people, if their paychecks were at stake.

My point is that we should hold those Greeks up as an example for being willing to stand their ground and stand for something, not ridicule them because they were "foolish enough to vote".  What kind of a cop-out is that?

If this discussion is truly about the value of voting, why are we not supporting the Greeks who voted for Golden Dawn? They took a stand, and they made a difference.  Their representative tore up the documents that the traitorous cabalist puppets passed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyN0en6cuCU

I am proud of those Greeks that voted for Golden Dawn.  They know more about democracy than most Americans will ever know.

They are true peoples of white European descent who care about the survival of their people and culture.

Only time will tell whether the American people can measure up to their standard.

I think voting is a cop out for people who want to say "I did something" while really doing nothing. "Voting" for a dummy won't change the ventriloqist.

I carry no debt, buy nothing I don't need, leave no money in the bank, and pay in cash whenever possible. That's how I "vote".

Fri, 07/17/2015 - 17:47 | 6325271 teutonicate

Faulty reasoning.  "Voting for a dummy won't change the ventriloqist."  If you can't tell the difference between Hillarity and Trump, please don't vote. I don't want your judgment anywhere near the electoral process.

What do you have to lose by voting?  Do you think you are going to get a medal as a revolutionary?  Grow up.

The system is not perfect, but your not voting just ensures that all the illegals that vote get their way.

Oh I forgot, you don't care if our country becomes Mexico.

"If you can't tell the difference between Hillarity and Trump, please don't vote." - Different dummies, same ventriloquist.

"I don't want your judgment anywhere near the electoral process." - Likewise, I'm sure.  Luckily voting doesn't matter.

What do I lose by voting? Time and mental energy spent on validating insanity. If you really think that voting one way or the other is going to change the illegal immigrant situation, you need to continue your ZH education. This has been planned a for a long time, and nobody, except the 99% citizen scum, want it to change. The real powers (none that we "vote" for) are quite happy with how things are going.

The country IS becoming mexico, but not because of the presence of brown people. They are just more pawns in the game of Amerikan destruction.

First of all, the presence of millions of illegal Mexican aliens does make us like Mexico.  If you think that demographics does not affect culture you are naive.

Before you continue your lecture to the choir, let me refer you to my previous posts to illustrate my full understanding of the complete cabalist control of both parties.  Please don't lecture me on the futility of assuming that any candidate will solve our problems.  This is about damage control as long as the cabal is in charge.

We are at war.  I do not intend to abdicate any weapons at my disposal, including voting, as minimally effective as it may be.

Just because I have grenades, it does not mean that I abdicate my pistol.

If you really want change you will use any weapon at your disposal, regardless of whether it is less effective than you would like it to be.  Do you really think that when the next cultural marxist president takes office they will care that YOU didn't vote.

Wow, that takes ego.

Dude, the propaganda has worked perfectly on you. When you vote you put your stamp of endorsement on the most corrupt system on the face of the earth. It's like choosing between excruciatingly painful ass cancer and excruciatingly painful ball cancer.

Read The Creature From Jekyll Island and you will begin to understand. The Fed and its owners rule the world, no matter who the "elected" officials are.

If Trump doesn't want to end the Fed because he profits from it then he is a corrupt piece of shit. If he doesn't want to end the Fed because he doesn't know it's a problem then he's an ignorant piece of shit. Either way he has no business being President.

You must unlearn what you have learned.

Please don't call me dude, unless you want me to discount you as a 68'er.

No, when I vote it is an acknowledgement that I have analyzed the alternatives, and imperfect as they are, I have rendered an opinion as to what is tactically best for my people.  I may not like it, but I view it as better than rendering no opinion at all.

I am assuming that when you chose not to vote, you are acknowledging that as imperfect as the system is, you have no opinion.  To me that is more evidence of laziness than wisdom.

Don't be deluded into thinking that because you have failed to exercise what little leverage you still have over the disaster that our government has become, that this represents some type of "moral high ground".

I am not sure how we got on the Fed, because I am not sure that Trump has given his blanket endorsement to the Fed's behavior.  Ramble much?  Either way, it is amazing to me that you would presume that I have not read The Creature From Jekyll Island, because I have.  I have also been one of the staunchest critics of the Fed on my ZH blogs, so not sure where you are going with this - or what it has to do with the value of voting.

Also, please don't presume to tell me what I need to unlearn.

Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is still a vote for evil.  If you're ok with that, well then I don't know what to tell you.  But, I guarantee that the next couple of POTUSes have already been selected by TPTB.  Everybody else that enters the race is part of the theatre of making our electoral system look legit.  Your vote doesn't matter at all.  Get over your ego and realize that your vote is completely meaningless and will change nothing.  It's not about morality here at all; it's about knowing that it's all a farce and I refuse to participate in a farce.

A direct quote from this post is "Despite what everyone says, he is tapping into the increasingly popular view that everyone is starting to feel, having had enough of politicians, or at least the ones with a brain."

That is not "meaningless theater", it is theater that has a message, it is just not the message that the cabal wants to hear.

No, what frightens you and a lot of other brainwashed people is that Donald Trump has struck a nerve.  It means YOU can't be complacent any more, and claim that the process is irrelevent as an excuse to do nothing.

It's a frightening nerve the threatens the very existence of our artificial political system based on "kosher" candidates.

Don't label me as a "blind follower of Donald Trump" just because I am prepared to admit that he is on to something.

By the way, I am not necessarily crediting Donald Trump with brilliance.  A moron could see that we need some the changes he is advocating.

The difference is his willingness to articulate tabu topics - the elephants in the room that everyone else is hiding from for political gain.

No, I got the point of the article.  Did you?

The only members of the GOP that are scared of what Trump has to say are the ones who might need to rethink their position to get realigned with the people they should be representing.

Frankly, people of white European descent in this country are tired of certain members of the GOP selling them out to the cabal.

I hope those members of the GOP are scared, they should be.

In deference to those who share the same reservations that I do about Trump, I wish he would focus more on the white genocidal implications of immigration (illegal and otherwise) than simply justifying all of his viewpoints on profit and economic growth alone - important as they are.

If you fix the cultural and demographic problems of America, the economic problems will solve themselves.

Homogeneous European cultures never seem to have a problem with crime or economic viability, funny how that is.

I am with you on all of the above, except that little comment about Europe's economic viability.  You might want to re-think that.

It may have been largely true before the Euro, but no longer as national boundaries are being erased.  Just as America is being invaded from the Southern hemisphere, Europe is dealing with a major influx from both Africa and the Middle East.  Their cultures, like ours, are being bastardized - ruined - while our so-called leadership cheers it on as they facilitate the process at the bidding of their multi-national corporate donors bribe them with "campaign" cash.

U may be the one short on sandwiches to take ANY politician seriously, most of all those politicians who have demonstrated gravitas, and sincerity only to be unmasked for the clowny charlatans they really are when exposed,

And the mere fact that you invoke hitlery as some kind of best of the worst choices proves it.  That 43% of the voters, the same percentage since the Flood, have not, will not, can not see thru this fatally flawed hermaphrodite is far more astounding than the 18% of republicans who could give a damn about some stupid illiegals in his employ when all of DC employs some variation of undocumented, illegal aliens.

I suspect that Jeb is benefitting from at least 10% purchased points.

I also suspect that Trump is working for Hillary and Hillary is purchasing Trump % points.

Ron Paul was THE public favorite and never received high poll rankings.

I'm sure more than one ZHer stated it, but if Trump is still in the headlines after Christmas then consider him controlled opposition for the democrats.

Its the same Game Theory lesson from the Clinton Playbook - get Ross Perot to split the "Republican vote."

Between Trump taking the Paul message as his own and otherwise saying "eff-the-republicans" and runs as Independent in a Clinton/Bush race, its seems effortless for Clinton and the democrats to keep the white house - barring some black swan depression event.

Despite all the panic of a Chinese stock shit-storm, a Euro-collapse, or interest rate hikes, I would think the plan would be to keep the economy on life support until after the 2016 election - so pump more money for another 18 months.

Post election you can do what you want and its not like the republicans are an actual organized political party anymore.

I know folks don't believe it but the top twenty old skool republican party operators are being blackmailed with the whole "1960s Nixon/Bush-republicans assassinated JFK" story in order to keep them disorganized and ineffective. Pour Boehner another drink and powder him Oompa-Loompa.

Post Bush 41's passing, look out for some serious SJW Cultural Revolution witchcraft to descend from the Clinton WH.

The Clinton/Googleplex playbook is your are; "You're either for Hillary, or you're a racist bigot."

Paul/Trump/Bush can fight for those votes.

Like Reagan?

In 1986, Reagan signed an immigration reform bill, the first in 20 years, that legalized the status for 1.7-million people. Edwin Meese, Reagan's former attorney general, characterizes what his boss did: "President Reagan called this what it was: amnesty. Indeed, look up the term 'amnesty' in Black's Law Dictionary, and you'll find it says, 'the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act provided amnesty for undocumented aliens already in the country.' "

Many have called the program a success because it awarded green cards to 2.7-million migrants, giving them the hope of entry to the American middle class.  When Reagan signed the law, many predicted it would encourage the hiring of more migrants, especially outside of agriculture, and that this would spur the backlash against immigration that we're seeing today.

This much is certain: If the law aimed to curb illegal immigration, it failed: When the law was passed, there were about 5-million illegal immigrants; now, there's an estimated 12-million.

He signed the amnesty as part of a deal with the Democrats in Congress to secure the border.  As usual, the Democrats welshed on the deal.  That was a mistake by Reagan that Trump won't make.

Sat, 07/18/2015 - 04:29 | 6326542 Otrader

Reagan signed the bill after Republicans and Democrats cobbled together an amnesty program in response to concerns from farmers worried about harvesting profits. The official record of congressional debates shows that lawmakers intended the program to provide a steady supply of labor for growers of perishable crops, such as cherries, grapes, peaches, etc. At the time the bill was written, however, "perishable" was defined so loosely that more durable crops such as potted plants, tobacco and seedlings were lumped in as well.

There is a difference in being a billionaire business tycoon, and POTUS, so for now all we have is what he says he "will" do.  But, keep in mind that he puts together deals and builds.  In the very least he can lock tight the southern border; other than that he'll have to deal with all the Chamber of Commerce bought politicians in congress. He has said though, that his speciality is getting people behind closed doors and making deals; it's made him 10 billion bucks.

He said in an interview that when he goes into something he plans for the very worst possible scenario and then makes his move.  That's a great attitude to have when dealing with Congress and why people mock him and underestimate him at their peril.  He also said just today or yesterday, and I paraphrase, "that if someone fucks with him, he will fuck with them".  He said that at the level of commerce he deals in you don't screw people, you don't lie, you don't cheat, because if you do you'll never put together another deal again.  That's crazy talk for politicians, so having him as POTUS would be like dropping a truth bomb into congress.

One big difference is, that if he gets elected he will owe the voters, not donors of which he has none and doesn't need.  It's an interesting concept; a POTUS who only owes the voters.

In another time IMO, he'd be the wrong guy, but with both parties now so Wall Street bought, he just may be crazy enough to beat back the culture of corruption.  (if he stays alive that is).

Or, he may get POTUS, but Wall Street/Congress will shut him down.  Initially at least they'll be afraid of the voters; for once.
