Trump Lead Surges In Polls, Again

Tyler Durden's picture

Since last week's FOX News poll, Donald Trump has extended his gains dramatically in the race to be GOP Presidential nominee. According to ABC-Washington Post latest poll, 24% of Republicans prefer Trump (up from 18% last week) with Scott Walker nudging ahead of Jeb Bush. Notably the poll was taken from Thursday to Sunday and so does include some reaction from Trump's McCain comments...

As Jim Kunstler concluded earlier,

I’ve proposed for many years that we are all set up to welcome a red-white-and-blue, corn-pone Nazi political savior type. I don’t think Donald Trump is it. But he will be a stalking horse for a far more skillful demagogue when the time comes. There’s a fair chance that the wheels will come off the banking and monetary system well before the 2016 election. Who knows who or what will come out of the woodwork before then.

*  *  *

*  *  *

Here's Martin Armstrong on the matter...

Tump-Donald

Trump is hitting very hard, clearly tapping into the emerging anti-establishment politician trend. He bluntly states, “Who do you want negotiating with China? Trump or Bush?” You could expand that to Hillary. Her negotiations amount to how much they are willing to donate to her questionable charity. People setup such charities because they have money to give back TO society, like Bill Gates. The Clintons started their charity when they were broke. Who is the charity really benefiting and why did Hillary shakedown countries as Secretary of State to pile in money to their questionable charity?

MSNBC keeps trying to focus on Trump’s comments on Mexico. They give him tons of airtime in an attempt to discourage people from voting for him, but they may be creating the exact opposite. Despite what everyone says, he is tapping into the increasingly popular view that everyone is starting to feel, having had enough of politicians, or at least the ones with a brain.

He's just the sort of disruptive candidate we need to throw a monkey wrench into the Bush III bandwagon wheels.

I would not vote for trump. As a libertarian, there are several deal breakers for me, and trump doesnt pass any of them.

That said, I find the whole mccain thing hilarious. Its interesting that he can get away with saying that nowadays, becuase he would have been skewered by most republican voters back in 08. Its seems people are wising up to people like john mccain. There are few political figures i loathe more than mccain, and the fact that trump didn't lose any support after saying that shows that JUST MAYBE a decent number of republicans are tiring of the endless warfare mccain and his ilk promote.

Trump is a marketing genius. He knows exactly what his target demographic thinks, and wants. I'm sure he doesn't believe much of it, but at least he is articulating it. He also knows that the MSM now believes its own bullshit, and is using that fact against them to fantastic effect.

Eventually they will do to Trump what they did to Perot: threaten him and his family with imminent, gruesome death. If Trump is as smart as I think he is, he will already have anticipated this, and surrounded himself and his loved ones with a veritable army of former elite soldiers and mercenaries.

Shits getting real!

Trump was asked about the Federal Reserve, and he just answered his answer about trade deals. I'm waiting until these characters talk about the Fed, then I'll make up my mind. Trump does want to weaken the currency, though. Which is what they will need to do.

I am a libertarian and I concur with this message. Trump has some bad ideology...well, actually no ideology I can spot but he is a tough no-nonsense guy. I would give him higher odds of purging the IRS from Lois Lerner types than nice-guy Graham or dumbass Perry types. Rand Paul is my fav but apart from that I like the fact Trump mixes everything up. He is the wild card that unsettles all the political equations.

Can you imagine Trump sitting across from the Chinese doing a trade deal? Can you imagine him squaring off versus Putin, or an Ayatollah or the punk dictator of N. Korea? I can and it makes me smile even laugh.

What Trump should have started with are the facts: McCain was a pathetic pilot, was repeatedly written up for being an undisciplined hot dogger and a drunk, and crashed SEVERAL very expensive fighter planes due to his poor flying skills. Being shot down was the best thing that ever happened to him, career wise - instead of being thrown out of the Navy, which was pending, he was suddenly an American Hero being held by the Viet Cong. We badly needed heroes in that totally indefensible war, and along came John.

His fellow POWs despised him, but they were all hushed up because the hero had to preserve his shine.

Then move on to discuss the insanely stupid act of selecting the Alaska Hillbilly as his running mate without ever meeting her.

And for the big finish, point out that aside from a very short stint working for his father in law right after the Viet Cong released him, he has never, ever held a real job in his entire life. A real job being where you have to show up on time, answer to a boss, do what you were hired to do, or get fired for incompetence or lack of performance.

33 POWs faced execution for treason after Vietnam until Nixon pardoned all POWs.  McCain was on the list of the 33, in fact at the head of it.

Here are the facts as we know them:

  • According to Colonel Ted Guy, John McCain’s commander as a POW, McCain collaborated with the enemy.
  • McCain is accused of giving information that led to the downing of 60 US aircraft
  • McCain is accused of training North Vietnamese air defense personnel
  • McCain is accused of making over 30 propaganda broadcasts against the US, broadcasts he moved to have classified when he was elected to the senate

"Then move on to discuss the insanely stupid act of selecting the Alaska Hillbilly as his running mate without ever meeting her." -Still, she was a governor versus a community organizer.

It wasn't his decision. She was picked because she was an easy target, due to her resembling Tina Fey. The first time I ever saw her on TeeVee was on Kudlow(CNBC) in June 2008. I had a relative who volunteered for his campaign, because of her. Then, when McCain suspended his campaign to forestall (Forrestal!) her rise in the polls, my relative suspended their help, too. I said, with a chuckle, I told you so, he's a straw man candidate, just like Bob 'Boner Pill' Dole! Choosing Palin nearly backfired on him. Trump will do well to keep attacking just like Palin. I can see an unfortunate accident in his near future, if he's not extra careful every step of the way.

McCain followed his father and grandfather, both four-star admirals, into the United States Navy, graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958

The above is the reason a man with piss poor pilot skills and an acknowledged enemy collaborator does not need to hold a job or demonstrate any form of satisfactory performance. He is a creature of the Borg, is shelted and protected by it and only prospers as a consequence of this fact.

Trump is shaking the foundations of the Borg. Expect Trump to shoot himself in the back of the head and then slip and fall 25,000 feet while shaving aboard his private jet.

If you are truly a Libertarian then you must realize that the death of the Republican Party is crucial to the emergence of the Libertarian Party from the shadows.   And Trump could be the man to give it the death blow.

Who else is going to be able to separate the RINOs from the True Conservatives?  ANd when the RINOs close ranks to drive out the remaining Conservatives, and the Party dies, Libertarians will be there to cherry pick the remnants.

As a Libertarian, I WOULD vote for Trump if it were to break the back of the Republican Party.

The only one I am aware of from the current conflict is Bo Bergdahl.

Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wealth_tax

"In 1999, Donald Trump proposed for the United States a one off 14.25% wealth tax on the net worth of individuals and trusts worth $10 million or more. Trump claimed that this would generate $5.7 trillion in new taxes, which could be used to eliminate the national debt"

The operatives/insiders can definitely impact the caucus states.  They did that to Ron Paul big time by changing rules willy nilly whenever the Paul supporters had the edge (Maine being a perfect example).   However, Dr. Paul really never had anywhere near a majority of typical Republican voters, he just didn't.  That's why he had a much more difficult time in primary states (though he certainly did better in 2012 than 2008).   So Trump, as a thorn to the insiders, will be screwed in the caucus states, but unlike Paul, he might take some of the primary states.

The first debate is only 2-3 weeks away, August 6th.  Will Fox News change the rules to exclude Trump even though he's Number 1 in the polls?   If not, will it just be 9 losing candidates bashing Trump for 90 minutes?  Will Trump emerge with even greater numbers after that?  Frankly, I think the Republican National Committee is vomiting bile now.

I'm not a Trump fan but his willingness to say whatever the fuck he wants is something I respect. He attacks anyone from the head of the most dangerous drug cartel to a Senator who was POW. I don't necessarily respect what he says as much as I do the fact that he's not afraid to say it whether it is a populist opinion or not.

i understand people believe that both parties are the same exact thing, all controlled by congress and all the big donors ( which happens to be true)

However, with trump, this is why i love this guy so much. he fucking speaks his mind and does not give a fuck what anyone thinks of him. what other candidate, forget this upcoming election, but in general, can you remember totally not giving a fuck what he says, no matter how controversial it maybe?

secondly, unlike hillary or jeb, or the other clowns running, trump can not be bought. he has so much fucking money, there is no real donation that will really make a difference to him.

donald trump sounds like a guy who truly loves this country. i truly believe he is different than any other candidate we have had. he does not give a shit about political correctness, he will fucking talk back to any jackass that talks back to him.

if he ever did get into the white house ( i can only dream) his speeches would be must see. he would actually talk from within himself, not like every other fucking politician who would try to sound as politically correct as possible.

bottom line, say what u want about trump, the man seems for real, and hes not taking shit from anyone. will things be way different under his watch? who knows, but what i do know, is with trump, i would probably start to feel a bit more proud to be an american again ( under obama its been really hard to ) and maybe things can start to turn around in the u.s.a, bc under obama it has been a fucking disaster, and under hillary or jeb, it would  be no better.

Every US Presidential candidate has to go to fucking Israel and bow before them, it is sickening. America NEVER had an enemy in the Middle East before Israel was "created". Now you have the media pressing America's buttons, making us hate Muslims, even though we have far more in common with Muslims, than Jews, and certainly Jews feel that way as well (Though they hide it from idiot America).

I am sorry to generalize, there are millions of wonderful religious Jewish people. Zionism as it is practiced by SOME Jews, is the problem. Many of the Jews who follow this edict are Ashkenazi Jews, they are atheistic, and extremely ower and greed motivated. Ashkenazis ARE NOT THE SEMITE JEWS who have lived in peace for centuries in the Middle East.

Washington DC, Hollywood, Wall Street, sadly, are infested with Ashkanazi Jews. Their goal has been to divide and conquer America, and they have been very successful at it.

They use feminism (women's rights), racism,(the KKK), immigration(open borders), gun rights, s well as tensions between he north and the south, to pit American against American. As an example most American Jewish organizations place immigration "reform" as their top priority, now why would that be their top priority, while insuring ONLY "real" Jews get to migrate to Israel? Because immigration is the destroyer of societies, it weaken America, and how many Mexican immigrants will care about Middle East policy, if they can't even read the news paper, and they get much of their income from government assistance.

It is hard to limit the discussion on such a topic, as it is so broad...

Call it the TI- Trump Index, a measure of populist appeal. Calvin Coolidge is 1, and Hitler is 100. Here are where the candidates fall  on the Trump index:

Conservatives* agree with him. They're crazy and will destroy this country!"

With respect, but by not reading their propaganda with an informed and jaundiced eye, you are missing a lot of the picture. If one reads their sites with the attitude that it is all lies and manipulation, then their agenda becomes quite clear.

What they focus on, when they focus upon it, how they say what they say, and who they have saying it, tells one a lot of what they are up to.

It can feel dirty at times, but the knowledge one gleans about their tyranny, criminal enterprises, and plans, is well worth it.
