John Kerry "Very Disturbed" By Iran Vow To Defy American Policies
Surprise! Just days after the 'deal' to bring world peace a little closer amid much crowing by the Obama administration (ahead of Congress' 60-day decision process), Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday vowed to defy American policies in a speech punctuated by chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel". As Reuters reports, US Secretary of State John Kerry said the speech was "if it is the policy, it's very disturbing, it's very troubling," seemingly surprised at the rhetoric.
Ayatollah Khamenei told supporters on Saturday that U.S. policies in the region were "180 degrees" opposed to Iran's, at a speech in a Tehran mosque punctuated by chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel". "Even after this deal our policy toward the arrogant U.S. will not change," Khamenei said. As Reuters reports,
"I don't know how to interpret it at this point in time, except to take it at face value, that that's his policy," John Kerry said in the interview with Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television, parts of which the network quoted on Tuesday.
"But I do know that often comments are made publicly and things can evolve that are different. If it is the policy, it's very disturbing, it's very troubling," he added.

I have met some Iranian people in Canada. They're such nice people, much like Greeks. And the female Iranians I have met... holy smokes are they nice looking, not to mention calm, kind and always willing to flash a great smile.
But the one thing that really struck me was when I brought up the topic of Israel. Their attitude toward Israel was not warlike. It was an attitude of unbelievable calm and confidence. They are absolutely confident that if Israel started a war with Iran, Iran would crush Isreal so fast the earth would shudder with disbelief. If not for Israel's nuke capability, Iran would walk right over them.
But these Iranian people also don't seem to have any imperialistic plans. They still refer to themselves as Persians, and they seem to just want to be left alone. It's a very powerful country. The Iranian military is no joke. Why Israel continues to provoke every country on the planet, in most cases by proxy via their continuous war-mongering, is beyond me. If they keep pissing around with Iran they're going to get what's coming to them. I don't understand why their warring leaders don't see this.

IMHO, Kerry has finally spent enough time negotiating with these people to understand that they are not planning to destroy everything around them (and themselves).
