Obama Simply Switched from One War Crime Which Increases Terrorism to Another
The Water Torture

Praxis Rerum Criminalium,

It has now been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that specific type of torture which the U.S. used during the Bush years was a war crime.
Top terrorism and interrogation experts agree that torture creates more terrorists. Indeed, the leaders of ISIS were motivated by U.S. torture. And French terrorist Cherif Kouchi told a court in 2005 that he wasn’t radical until he learned about U.S. torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
But all Obama has done is to transition to drone assassinations which – beyond any shadow of a doubt – are a war crime (more here and here), and create more terrorists than they stop.
As the eminent historian Alfred McCoy notes:
Back in 2006 readers may well have dismissed that warning about “state-sponsored murder” as improbable, even irresponsible. But now this distinguished panel [which includes former FBI director William S. Sessions, former Army intelligence chief Claudia Kennedy, and former DEA director Asa Hutchinson] tells us that is exactly what has happened. Under President Obama, the torture issue has faded not from reform but because we are no longer taking prisoners since, as this report states, “the regime of capture and detention has been…supplanted in large measure by the use of drones.” By killing high value targets with drones, “the troublesome issues of how to conduct detention and interrogation operations are minimized.” In effect, we have slid down the slippery slope of human rights abuse to find extra-judicial killings awaiting us like an unwelcome specter at the bottom.
Postscript: In reality, the Obama regime has simply replaced Bush’s torture techniques with ones “that emphasize psychological torture,” and by outsourcing torture to our “allies.”
And Obama is committing other war crimes which increase terrorism, like – according to a group of CIA officers – arming Al Qaeda in Libya so they would overthrow Gaddaffi.

Doesn't seem to bother GW, or most Muslims, when ISIS tortures and enslaves non-muslims.. (or even when ISIS kills fellow muslims of a different sect or ethnicity).
Did the Yazidis torture Arabs and foster terrorism against themselves? No.. Yet, their women were enslaved, their men tortured and killed, and the population run off of "Muslim Lands"..
This is how groups like ISIS wage war.. With sheer brutality, terror.. and utter fanaticism of purpose.
People like the Yazidis and the Kurds understand this.. The only way to defeat them is to kill their leadership and the ideology they preach.
But I guess GW wants us to engage in some kind of love fest wtih ISIS members.
Scrutinizer
So does anyone think it's odd that "our enemies" haven't taken to using drones in USA?
The BusbBama regime has been a seamless continuum of destruction, relegating the constitution to an antiquated relic covered in elephant and jackass $#!+.
Nothing changes except the pace of destruction.
The world Muslim population is about 2 billion. Add a little Jihadi to the mix. If only .5% of them follow ISIS or another fun group, that is 100 million world wide. So,am I concerned that we may be "creating" terrorists?
First, I do not believe the premise that GW has carefully built over several blogs, that torture or droning creates terrorists. It is the wacky world of Islam that creates terrorists.
Perhaps Mr. Washington has not heard of the 1400-year. Muslim hatred of infidels and ecstatic delight in enslaving, robbing, and killing them.
Torture is reprehensible and inexcuseable. It worsens everything we do, regardless of whether or not it 'creates' more 'terrorists.'
It profits us NOTHING to torture. It never has. I say this as a former Intelligence agent.
It's just vicious sadistic chimps who use it.
Meanwhile, the attack on the homefront continues.......

Dead men don't tell tales. Dead men cannot confront the witnesses against them. Dead men cannot be found innocent. Dead men are glorious notches on the killer's gun.
The grand delusion of mankind is the just king. Drone pilots are paid assassins. Let them heed the words of Bush II, "War crimes will be prosecuted, war criminals will be punished and it will be no defense to say, I was just following orders.” http://thinkprogress.org/security/2009/04/28/37883/bush-torture-flashback/
Dead men cannot construct the narrative.
Is this to imply the CIA no longer waterboards at black sites? Sure, sure thing.
Black sites? Dat's rayciss
Sucks having two sets of laws, one that severely punishes those who "step out of line," and another that protects everyone calling the shots from WAY beyond that line
"There are not enough terrorists to attack". "I read that torturing people makes more terrorists". "That's illegal". "We can fix that". "Sweet".
"If we make a bunch can we keep some?". "Dude, awesome idea".
Oh don't worry. The next President will just come on and say, "We droned some folks."
Hey, great idea! When Obama is tried and convicted of high treason against the nation for holding the position of POTUS as an illegal alien, the punishment can be executuin by droning. Who says that Americans aren't more creative than the North Koreans?
Dream on Stormy.
The next president will cover his back, just as he covered for Bush.
As Bush covered for Clinton. Good point Sparky.
Oy vey
Careful what you wish for USSA.
Terrorist fronts coming to neighbourhoods near you.
Since I am now considered a domestic terroist to USSA.gov I believe you are TOTALLY CORRECT! Sir.
Seems the article missed the real point of where and how "terrorist" are being created...
that's fine - live target practice baby!
