The 'Fallout' From Fukushima Summed Up In 1 Disturbing Image

Tyler Durden's picture

If this is what is happening to a daisy now... good luck to the Olympic athletes in 5 years...

Four years after the disastrous 2011 earthquake, subsequent tsunami, and Fukushima nuclear meltdown, this small patch of deformed daisies suggests all is not well no matter what Abe tells the world...

We are sure everything is fine.. apart from

Fukushima's nuclear fuel "missing"

A specially designed robot 'dying' after just 3 hours of exposure, or

2000x Normal radiation found in a Tokyo playground

So what is really going in Fukushima?

Release the Mothra

Fasciation (or cresting) is a relatively rare condition of abnormal growth in vascular plants in which the apical meristem (growing tip), which normally is concentrated around a single point and produces approximately cylindrical tissue, instead becomes elongated perpendicularly to the direction of growth, thus, producing flattened, ribbon-like, crested, or elaborately contorted tissue.[1] Fasciation may also cause plant parts to increase in weight and volume in some instances.[2] The phenomenon may occur in the stemrootfruit, or flower head. Some plants are grown and prized aesthetically for their development of fasciation.[3]Any occurrence of fasciation has several possible causes, including hormonalgeneticbacterialfungalviral and environmental causes.

One of the causes of fascination is genetic mutation.  In the wild, this should be very, very uncommon.  If there are multiple examples of this in one area, then it would be safe to assume that the excess mutations could be due to ionized radiation.  We need more data on more flora and fauna in the area and some more time to really nail it down.  But let's be honest, we all know what's up.
Wonder what the effect of ionizing radiation is on the mutational rates of microorganisms such as viruses?

Not going to happen when the Japanese government has passed laws to make sure there isn't any data.

Not going to happen when every University, every Scientific publication, and every scientist is a shill for the corporations that provide their funding, and unable to release any research that might adversly affect that funding.

Not going to happen when the American government turned off the radiation monitors all over the west coast before the plume hit and hasn't turned them on since.

Not going to happen when the British Crown, who owns the majority of uranium assets, is pushing a global agenda that categorizes nuclear electricity production as "green" by totally ignoring the carbon requirements of mining, refining and processing the fuel and thousands of years of securely isolated storage for the life destroying toxic waste produced.

Not going to happen.

Viruses aren't organisms. They are basically pieces of code looking for a compiler. Given that viral mutation occurs due to RNA transcription errors, the scope for viral mutation would have to be iradiated human beings. A virus particle, on its own, and exposed to radiation, would likely be destroyed. The chances of a change to the molecular structure being positive for the viruses ability to spread are vanishingly small, plus viral particles don't typically last long in the wild...

best as i can translate quickly:

this converts to 50 mrem

(but the measurement means nada without a rate - as in ping pong balls per hour / or days.)

nevertheless, for comparison:

"...

A typical dental x-ray image exposes you to only about 2 or 3 mrem

average resident of the U.S. receives about 360 mrem every year from background sources.

Another sad victim - there were alot of good designs out there for fail-safe and reliable reactors that will never see the light of day now. There will also be no radioisotope batteries based on Americium or other naturally occuring elements that would last for 10-20 years.

Guess we just better concentrate on cleaning up the mess GE and the US Navy has left us with all these boiling water reactors, and burn more "fossil" fuels.

I changed my diet (no more fish or meat, due to their greater bioaccumulation of certain isotopes), I changed my lifestyle (no stress), I take Rick Simpson Oil (ohhh, yeah!), I alkalinize my pH, I buy salt from the Andes mountains rather than the sea - and all that is just a beginning.

BTW, I am in great shape, with a 6-pack body and awesome power when I hit the heavy bag, so it's not like what I am doing seems to be causing me harm, either.

...  Are you really going to lazily count just on LUCK to get you through this life?  You sound like a born victim, happy and comfortable being a victim with nothing but hopes for a random lottery win.  Do you also live in a trailer park on welfare?

When they announced the olympics in Japan shortly after Fukushima I knew the Royal Elites where at it again. Their job, as they see it, is to keep all the sheep munching on the grass with their heads down and not a care in the world.

This way they can control the bleeping and the lines to the shear pens.

So just their decision to hold the olympics there during a major ongoing catastrophe should tell you how bad Fukushima really is.

It's BAD! Really, really BAD! Which or course is why they want to sweep it under the rug.

I can think of many funny lines and jokes, but I am strugglingb to imagine how the people of this nation are dealing with this unstoppable poison on a personal level.

Then again, we all have some challenges to deal with, whether it be drought in California, war in Syria, disease in Soerra Leone.

It is a pity that humanity cannot find enough common ground to give support and hope to one another.

The masters of this world need to realise that regardless of what they leave their children in their wills, it will be meaningless in a world riddled with suffering and evil.

Speaking of Evil:

From Enenews:

"Do not forget that the illegal nuclear waste dumped at the Bridgeton Landfill has been burning out of control for at least a year, with highly elevated levels of radiation:

"LATEST ON THE BRIDGETON LANDFILL FIRE DISASTER IN NORTH ST. LOUIS. An uncontrollable underground fire continues to rage in Republic’s Bridgeton Landfill adjoining an illegal radioactive waste dump left over from the WWII Manhattan Project. The Center has sent a 73 page report to Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster documenting the extensive evidence that dangerous radioactivity has continued to be emitted into the atmosphere from the site for the past year, attempts to control the crisis are no longer feasible, and affected downwind residents should be offered permanent relocation assistance. A copy of the full report can be found (link)."

http://www.beyondlandfilling.org/

Here is the full technical report detailing this out-of-control nuclear fire:

"… the radiotoxins had migrated widely throughout the landfill. Also, the fire was hotter than acknowledged and not confined to the South Quarry by the gas injection wells. It was advancing on the North where, at the far end, lie the radioactive wastes that remain in Area 1. That is to say, the worst case concern in everyone’s mind of contact between the fire and radioisotopes has, in fact, begun unfolding for the past year in slow motion. It has been unseen only because radioactivity is invisible and odorless, and the instruments that have been installed to
measure radioactivity only detect an entirely different type of gamma radiation than the alpha emitting radium isotopes buried here."

"Even the company’s own groundwater tests show the radiotoxins have also dispersed into the South Quarry where temperatures are the hottest. Alpha emitting particles may only be extremely dangerous if inhaled or ingested, but they are now being volatized into a gaseous form that is escaping into the air, precisely into the form that is most hazardous. For the past year, downwind neighbors have been at risk of inhaling that radiation."

"…the liner cannot prevent the release of radiotoxins. For the decay rate of ionizing radiation is not neutralized when it is burned in the flare of the associated gas collection system. Because the fire is uncontrolled, and the liner and flare is unable to destroy radioactivity, the release of alpha particles into the air cannot be contained."

http://www.beyondlandfilling.org/images/pdf/west-lake-bridgeton-landfill-fire-report.pdf

The nuclear waste has leached throughout the entire landfill. The fire has been burning nuclear waste since the beginning, starting before February, 2013:

http://www.nukewatchinfo.org/Quarterly/Summer%202013/page%202.pdf

There is nothing stopping the nuclear waste fumes from escaping the landfill. The liner that management said would prevent any nuclear waste from escaping does nothing. The radiation monitors don't measure the type of radiation in the landfill. Either the 'scientists' hired to do the job are either completely incompetent, or ruthless killers.

St. Louis, and every other populated area within several hundred miles, needs to be evacuated. This is a nuclear disaster of the worst kind, that fire will burn for years. This is easily a Level 6 or 7 Event.

And what is being done about it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Other than the NRC telling us radiation like this is good for us, and they are changing the regulations accordingly.

This is what pure Evil looks like.

Reading further, I was wrong. The fire has been burning nuclear waste into the sky for almost 2 and a half years, not 1, with no end in sight."

People have no idea how bad this nuclear shit is.

This is a scary incident.

I worked on a landfill fire at the Countywide RDF facility in Bolivar, Ohio owned by Republic.  Aluminum dross disposed in the landfill reacted with the leachate and started an exothermic reaction.  Temps reached over 260°F which probably melted the base HDPE liner.

The was no rad waste in that landfill and it met Subtitle D requirements (2' base clay with 60 mil HDPE liner, leachate collection, etc).

The reaction destroyed a good part of the landfill gas collection system as PVC wells began to melt.  CPVC was tried but it also melted.  They finally settled on black iron.  Methane production dropped by 50% as CO and H2S level spiked.  Pressure in gas probes went from 1-2 psi to over 60 psi in some areas.  I drilled some gas wells, inclinometers and thermocouple wells in the landfill which would geyser boiling leachate in the air over 50 feet.

The top of the landfill settled over 70 feet due to the reaction creating a crater 300 feet in diameter.  A 200 feet deep interceptor trench was finally implemented to prevent the reaction from spreading into adjacent cells.

I'm glad I didnt live there because the smell was horrible.  Republic went full retard and began applying an odorizer around the perimeter to mask the smell of burning trash.

Landfill fires are extermely hard to extinguish, especially if you have a rad waste in the vicinity.

As a Christian for nearly 50 years I'm continually amazed to find fellow Christians believing man is basically good but capable of evil when it's patently evident that quite the opposite is true, Mankind is basically evil but capable of doing good.  However, even the good we're capable of doing is tainted with evil, thereby rendering it suspect due to our original nature.

If our hope is placed in anything other than the Otherliness of our self-existent Source / Creator, it will be in vain.  jmo.

"And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.  And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?  When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."  Mark 2:15-17

Old prisoners and those old guys indebted to Japanese mafia which were exposed to dangerous levels of radiation within first days and weeks all of them are dying many already died but you want hear it from NHK. The Government increased acceptable level of radiation 30 times in comparison to what it was before disaster and on the top of that their measurements of radiation were based of beta decay (Geiger) and not on alpha decay which as more deadly to human organism when exposed in close range like radioactive dust in the lungs. Also 6000% increase in cancer cases in Fukushima NPP area have been already reported. 90% of population in Fukushima area did not return even to so called safe areas. They know better.

It’s been over three months since I posted the below comment on ZH and nothing really changed since then except another failure of another robotic toy. So here I go for those who missed it.

Over 4 years passed since Fukushima disaster so it’s time for quick recapitulation of the situation:

Two of four reactors suffered complete melt down, one partial meltdown and fourth which was not operational at that time still has big spent fuel problem which cannot be removed, posing threat of explosion if another disaster hits.

In four years what they accomplished was merely pouring water on cores of melted reactors and pumping it into hundreds of storage tanks build in the vicinity of NPP while having no clue what to do with it. Attempts to decontaminate it failed.

The vessel containments of melted down reactors have failed. They developed concrete cracks as well damage of pressure piping during disaster and in aftermath. Through those fissures some of nuclear fuel and highly contaminated water’s pouring into ground water system.

The fact of bridging containment vessel (prelude to China syndrome) alone leads to horrifying conclusions that the problem is unfixable at all, short of currently impossible task of removing all melted nuclear fuel from vessel and/or wherever it went. The truth that anyone involved in mitigation of this disaster wouldn’t even utter.

On the top of it after four years TEPCO does not have good account of state of melted down reactors or complete list of damages, since supposedly world leading powerhouse robotics nation cannot produce one dammed good robot that would work in such extreme conditions. Several attempts to deploy robots have been proven complete failure.

It is shocking but they simply do not know what to do. They are in loss, confusion and panic.  There is neither plan, nor technology invented yet to tackle the problem. In desperation thousand retired workers indebted to Japanese mafia were being sent there into these reactors, for two minutes each, to senselessly die on orders of Japanese Oligarchs. It is that bad.

Since rate of process of removing radiation from highly contaminated water is many times lower that rate of pumping newly contaminated water into new, freshly built storage tanks, the whole effort is hopeless from engineering point of view. All this is just Sisyphus work, which lead to nowhere since they have to keep pumping water to cool and moderate fission material inside leaky damaged reactors so they will not blow up again. Now many those tanks are also leaking profusely back to ground water adding to chaos. All the contaminated water leaked from reactor vessels and storage tanks ends up in the ocean continually bleeding radiation and all frantic attempts of preventive measures such as “ice wall” utterly failed.

Japanese MSM media, in 1984 style propaganda of changing past to control present, covers up gruesome reality of the Fukushima situation with its human implications, not to mention ignores severe problems with remaining 100 aging Japanese nuclear reactors put offline after 03/11/2011.

The official talk about Fukushima NPP decommission process planned for about four decades supposedly already started is a cruel fairy tale in context of utterly hopeless situation on the ground. The apparent inertia and indifference of the government, busy destroying Japanese economy with QE, cannot be explained in any other way than deliberated criminal, genocidal act against Japanese nation and world community unless you believe in fairy tales.

Situation at some US nuclear power plants and decommission efforts:

https://sostratusworks.wordpress.com/2015/01/01/devils-good-intentions/

and propaganda lies about renewable and nuclear energy, an excerpt from https://sostratusworks.wordpress.com/2015/02/11/engineering-renewable-delusions/ about fallacy of the concept of peaceful application of nuclear power.

The Nuclear power however, is neither clean nor sustainable and is simply a cruel hoax, masquerading as power generating technology. There is no such a thing as peaceful or civilian nuclear power. Little history. When in early fifties nuclear weapons race between US and Soviets and later China was in its apex a problem aroused of running huge operation of producing nuclear weapons in total secrecy. The issue was necessity of running secretly many nuclear reactors fueled with over 99% of U238 and less than 1% of isotope U235 which after controlled fission burning produced 3-4% of isotope U235 ready for subsequent enrichment in order to produce nuclear weapon grade fuel. Another problem was that further enrichment of uranium U235 and Plutonium Pu239 isotopes required enormous amounts of electricity, for running of hundreds of thousands mechanical centrifuges 24/7 affecting whole national power system with variety effects that were not easy to conceal.

To the rescue came bunch propagandists from Pentagon or W.H. and devised peaceful use of nuclear energy mantra, brilliantly conceived method of hiding massive nuclear war preparation effort as a benign service to humanity as proclaimed by president Eisenhower as early as  in 1953. As a result first so-called US Civilian Nuclear Power Plant was born in Shippingport, Pennsylvania in 1957, with moderate redesign of original military nuclear reactor and adding steam turbine and electric power generators. Even deadly adversaries of US in Soviet Union did not openly attack Eisenhower, by calling him liar and hypocrite in editorial of “PRAVDA” newspaper as they usually did but instead they were uncannily receptive to supposed “peace” overtures. They must have understood the point and figured out that they can also use this propaganda ploy to keep readying to nuclear confrontation while utilizing previously useless steam to light up half of Siberia, all in the name of world peace. No need to go on.

Ignoring inherited environmental dangers and flaws in basic concepts of design, nuclear power plants were never meant for civilian use for one reason alone. Namely complete lack of any technology enabling utilization of deadly, lasting up to billion years, nuclear waste for any further civilian use and fairy tales about new breeder reactor technologies do not change anything in that matter. The Fukushima NPP disaster is prime example of deadly results of reckless design based more on war contingencies than consideration for civilian lives, combined with complete criminal incompetence of private operator focused solely on profit. The medium term effects are starting to show up in form of 6000% increase in cancer cases in Fukushima prefecture while authorities call area safe.

Cancer Started Sky Rocketing in 1945, What Else Happened in 1945, Could It Be The Start of the Nuclear Cartel?

http://nukeprofessional.blogspot.com/2015/07/cancer-started-sky-rocketin...
It fairly hard to find historical data on cancer incidence.

Cited near the bottom is an article that state circa 1900, 3 of 100 deaths were due to cancer.

A chart from the town of Boston 1811 showed 5 cancer deaths of 942.    Link and picture is at the far bottom herein.
What are the current stats on cancer deaths?   Honestly I haven't included any information here except in links.   I deem the answer to that question as so absurdly obvious to not deserve energy put into it.

How many people do you know who have cancer right now?

The only cheap and safe nuclear power comes from the Sun. All those nuclear power plants were not power plants. They were nuclear weapons factories that generated electricity on the side (electricity was a huge loss leader).

Today? They're our masters' ace in the hole in case there's any risk of a real revolution. Rest assured that if that day ever comes the bad guys can  flip a switch, the nuke plants all melt down at once and within hours or days everyone is shitting blood and dropping dead. Not so much a Samson as a Jonestown Option---they don't get to rule the earth, they'll see to it the earth the meek inherit won't be worth inheriting.
