Iran IS Persia, a proud and ancient nation, not a melting-pot of tribes tossed together into a artificial stew by colonial powers. It has national spirit, national pride, and all the military moral that is so sorely lacking anywhere in Iraq. If IRAQ could bring the U.S. to a grinding halt and force them to declare victory and get out, IRAN is certain to at least win a Vietnam-style victory, with a unified if battered state remaining as the last U.S. troops run for the exits -- after striking the final deathblow to the fragile U.S. economy.
