7.9 percent support increasing annual US aid to Israel from $3.5 billion to $5 billion.  Israel currently receives the largest share of the total US foreign aid budget. The Obama administration is offering increased aid to reduce Israeli opposition to the deal.  No specific package has been announced.

4.1 percent favor giving Israel deep penetrating “bunker buster” bombs of the type designed to destroy fortified targets.Michael Makovsky, president of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, has widely promoted giving the weapons to Israelalong with the bombers needed for delivery.

4.0 percent support providing Israel with B-52 long-range bombers.  Israel’s air power is thought to be inadequate for distant targets such as Iran.  Former Middle East advisor Dennis Ross proposed that B-52s bombers would give Israel a more “credible” deterrent threat against Iran.

3.4 percent favor releasing jailed Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard to Israel.  Pollard is serving a 30-year prison term for spying on the US for Israel and is eligible for mandatory parole in November.  Pollard will not be able to travel to Israel unless there is special intervention by the Obama administration.

While 12.8 percent favor “all of the above” compensation options be given to Israel, an overwhelming 67.8 percent of Americans chose “none of the above.”

The IRmep poll, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percent, was fielded to 1,500 respondents July 25-26 by Google Consumer Surveys. Poll data may be viewed online at:

ZH is neutral, sometimes presenting the most ludicrous propaganda for educational purposes.

More lies about Iran and WMD. I would have expected Zerohedge to know by now that all US intelligence agencies have been agreement for at least a decade on the fact that Iran is not developing a nuclear weapon.

This is Zionist Porn.

Can Oldwood {who seems pretty smart, but maybe ought to read "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" or "Beyond Chutzpah" } provide some evidence that this cartoon is more than neocon agitprop.

In other words - Israel and the US have, together, thousands of nuclear weapons.

no one - not Mossad, not the CIA, not DIA - believes Iran has a weapon, or is working on one.

So - given that, how does this cartoon make a lick of sense?

It's more warmongering neocon propaganda, so far as I can tell.

And parenthetically, the Israelis have given themselves the right to bomb anyone or anything they please.

But there was zero evidence that the Iraqi nuclear site they destroyed was anything but designed for civilian purposes. [I don't know about the Syrian one].

Oil will run out at some point, and moreover there's nothing like some country with nukes that refuses to sign the npt or allow inspections supporting terrorism in your country and leading sanctions against you to make you want to protect your sites from their bombs.

Let's be clear - Israel thinks it has the right to maintain hundreds of nukes, and prevent neighboring countries from developing civilian nuclear research because they are hypocrites - doesn't Lebanon and Iran and Syria have a right to protect itself from Likud bombs?

I think so.

It is unaccountably strange to have cartoons like this promulgated so soon after the Iraq War. Remember how we were maneuvered into that one?

Apparently not.

Great cartoon, its a play on reality, instead of just Washington/zionist propaganda, like the cartoon that started this comment section.

I live along the West coast of the US, and this Spring re was a request from the US Coast Guard to Congress not to cut the funds for Coast Guard's search and rescue program. Congress said they needed to make the cuts to save money. The cost savings: $3.5 Million. The very next week the same Congress was asked by Israel for funds to replenish Israel's "Iron Dome", (evidently its their dome, but we pay for it). The cost of resupplying their "defense" system, $225,000,000.00, it passed with a near unanimous vote. NO ones should ask why I hate zionists and Israel, they simply need to look at situations such as this to see why.

Why are you hating Israel who are just doing what is in their own self interest. Hate your own politicians that screwed you and claim to represent you.

This is like the guy who's wife cheated on him and he gets more mad at the guy than his wife. He doesn't owe you shit. Your wife is the one who betrayed you, not him.
