White House Denies Snowden 'Pardon' Petition, Warns "We Are Living In A Dangerous World"

Tyler Durden's picture

After two years and a massive 167,000 signatures, FirstLook reports that The White House has officially denied a hugely popular whitehouse.gov petition calling for NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden to be “immediately issued a full, free, and absolute pardon,” saying thanks for signing, but no, stating that "Mr. Snowden’s dangerous decision to steal and disclose classified information had severe consequences for the security of our country and the people who work day in and day out to protect it." While acknowledging that "this is an issue that many Americans feel strongly about," Lisa Monaco, President Obama’s advisor on homeland security and terrorism, said in a statement, "we live in a dangerous world."

However, as FirstLook further points out,

Snowden didn’t actually disclose any classified information – news organizations including the Guardian, Washington Post, New York Times and The Intercept did the disclosing.

And the Obama administration has yet to specify any “severe consequences” that can be independently confirmed.

Intercept founding editor Glenn Greenwald, one of the journalists to whom Snowden entrusted his archive, has frequently responded to [the argument that Snowden should come home and be judged], noting that Snowden is willing to accept the legal consequences of his acts – but, were he to come home under the current circumstances, would be barred under the draconian Espionage Act from publicly arguing that his leaks were justified.

OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE RESPONSE TO "Pardon Edward Snowden"

A Response to Your Petition on Edward Snowden

Thanks for signing a petition about Edward Snowden. This is an issue that many Americans feel strongly about. Because his actions have had serious consequences for our national security, we took this matter to Lisa Monaco, the President's Advisor on Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. Here's what she had to say:

"Since taking office, President Obama has worked with Congress to secure appropriate reforms that balance the protection of civil liberties with the ability of national security professionals to secure information vital to keep Americans safe.

As the President said in announcing recent intelligence reforms, "We have to make some important decisions about how to protect ourselves and sustain our leadership in the world, while upholding the civil liberties and privacy protections that our ideals and our Constitution require."

Instead of constructively addressing these issues, Mr. Snowden's dangerous decision to steal and disclose classified information had severe consequences for the security of our country and the people who work day in and day out to protect it.

If he felt his actions were consistent with civil disobedience, then he should do what those who have taken issue with their own government do: Challenge it, speak out, engage in a constructive act of protest, and -- importantly -- accept the consequences of his actions. He should come home to the United States, and be judged by a jury of his peers -- not hide behind the cover of an authoritarian regime. Right now, he's running away from the consequences of his actions.

We live in a dangerous world. We continue to face grave security threats like terrorism, cyber-attacks, and nuclear proliferation that our intelligence community must have all the lawful tools it needs to address. The balance between our security and the civil liberties that our ideals and our Constitution require deserves robust debate and those who are willing to engage in it here at home."

Well, they got that part right. As much as politicians would like to hang Snowden and shove the NSA back into a cloud of secrecy, it's not going to happen. This treachery continues to unite people from all sides. It's one of the few issues that actually does. Even if they don't have the courage to do anything about it.

... Mr. Snowden only revealed the truth ... nothing wrong with that ...

... but, if you agree with all these types of illegal (as it was "judged" by a US court) surveillance  done by the NSA, that is definitely your prerogative ... but ... thanks, but no thanks ... you can keep your bridges and your bits ... ;)

... many people give a shit (me included) that the government has no business in people's personal lives and affairs and whatever was the purpose of his whistleblowing (and only Mr. Snowden would know) has no bearing on the fact that he simply told the truth and informed the whole world of the malicious US surveillance apparatus which degraded a lot of people's confidence in the American version of "freedom and democracy" ... with or without a six-pack Bud and NFL ...

Truth is treason in an empire of lies

Steve Wozniak: Edward Snowden is ‘a Hero to Me’

Why Edward Snowden Is a Hero

In revealing the colossal scale of the U.S. government’s eavesdropping on Americans and other people around the world, he has performed a great public service that more than outweighs any breach of trust he may have committed. Like Daniel Ellsberg, the former Defense Department official who released the Pentagon Papers, and Mordechai Vanunu, the Israeli nuclear technician who revealed the existence of Israel’s weapons program, before him, Snowden has brought to light important information that deserved to be in the public domain, while doing no lasting harm to the national security of his country.

Anyone remember Gary McKinnon? That  is the guy who hacked into NASA computers looking for proof of UFO's. He is still wanted and being pursued for extradition. Do you remember what he found? He found lists of personnel that were on "interplanetary" ships whose names didn't match any known ship names. That message has been scrubbed from the msm over the years and now he is just known as a hacker of gov't computers.

The big secret is what our gov't has been covering up for decades and that is that UFO's are real, that the universe is teaming with life and that technology of these 4th dimensional beings has been back engineered from ships recovered like the Roswell crash. As Ben Rich, CEO of skunk works in area 51 said to a group of MIT alumni in 1993 "we now have the technology to take ET home and it won't take years to do it".

The cabal are the ones behind this effort to suppress our knowledge, IQ and stunting our growth as humans. Ask yourself WHO and WHY would over 5,135 energy related patents be confiscated by the US gov't under the national security act? Towards what purpose does the suppression of efficient energy creation serve and who? These are the questions of our age and we had better start figuring this shit out while we still collectively have the ability to shut these fuckers down.

The Day After Roswell details all the alien technology they found at Roswell.  It was Col. Phil Corso's job to seed that technology to industry.

The book is available for free download as a PDF from many sites. Or you can buy from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/The-After-Roswell-Philip-Corso/dp/067101756X

Corso gives a thorough account of not only the alien technology he says was discovered at Roswell, but the bureaucratic processes involved in researching it and putting it to use. He describes how artifacts from Roswell gave earthly science a jumpstart on the integrated circuit chip, the laser, and a host of other technologies, and how these technologies were "seeded" outside the military to eventually better life for the public

And yet, due to legislated protocols the U.S. Government quite aggressively prevents such debates, even in courts where those accused to telling the truth (e.g. Chelsea Manning) are persecuted.  Please note that Manning's crime of disclosing vids of the reality of war was rewarded with a 35 year prison sentence.  Perhaps we should ask the Poser in Chief to pardon her.

Frustratingly difficult to get others to do it. By my informal poll (I ask anyone who wants to engage me on some current event ... to test their information ... propaganda ...  sources), only 11 out of 162 people polled know anything about WTC7. 162 out of 162 knew about WTC1&2 and the cavemen flying passenger jets like fighters into the buildings.

I show them the video. I tell them nothing hit WTC7. I tell them it went down at 5:30 that afternoon ... 30 minutes "after" the BBC said it fell. There is always a "non-reaction". Sometimes they ask me if I think we really landed on the moon. Oh yes ... and they always support our troops and pray for their safety.

Try it yourself. It's un-frigging-believable. But they do abandon the current events discussion immediately.

I remember seeing John McCain on CNN say that after a year in Russia Snowden would be an alcoholic and miserable. I saw some pictures where Snowden had a hot blonde on his arm pushing a grocery cart packed with food and beverages to a black Mercedes Benz with the trunk  popped open. He had a big smile on his face. Didn't seem to be miserable to me.

Anywhere there is controversy that turns people against other people you can be sure that the clever ones are in the shadow managing the situation.

The clever ones are also the only ones that murder leaders who are a threat to them and normal people who are no threat to them. They do this for sport and power. Normal, sane people, do not do that.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

State Security is a completely different than National Security. Notice they always conflate the two.

State Security (State Secrecy same, same) is where they hide all their illegal and immoral actions.

Snowden outed them (State Security) which momentarily boosted National Security.

National Security is where the nation as a whole is threatened,,, like destroying the economy, threatening citizens, or provoking Russia, overthrowing legit governments, bombing other Peoples into the stone age.  Now that does create enemies and does in fact threaten National Security as we will likely see in the near future.

The point being,,, Government threatens National Security. Whistle blowers boost National Security.

Mr. Snowden’s dangerous decision to steal and disclose classified information had severe consequences for the security of our country and the people who work day in and day out to protect it." While acknowledging that "this is an issue that many Americans feel strongly about," Lisa Monaco, President Obama’s advisor on homeland security and terrorism, said in a statement, "we live in a dangerous world.

This is beyond sickening, to brand someone a traitor who just pointed out, with facts, that the government of the 'land of the free' is spying on its citizens at a level that would make the Stasi cream its jeans.

Oh gee, this is endangering our war on terror, which requires spying on every single citizen of this country, because you know, someone may be disagreeing with our policies, which makes them a terrorist threat. These treasonous fuckers.

I know I will get downvoted for this but who is Snowden?  He has not really given us any good stuff in a while and the stuff that he has given us was already known.

I do like Jon Rappaport's blog.  He is a pretty sharp guy and he thinks Snowden is a See Eye Aye Op against the En Ess Aye.   Snowden was an See Eye Aye employee and no one really ever leaves.  Ask William Colby when he got whacked in retirement for maybe being a bit too truthful to the Senator FranK Church committee.

The other question is if Snowden is a See Eye Aye op then Putin and Russia are full NWO.  I am not bashing, I just don't trust anything these people tell us.  Snowden's escape from Hong Kong to Russia seems suspect too.

Snowden is Snowball, the "rebel" pig from Animal Farm (who represented Trotsky at the time it was written, I believe).

I do find it intriguing how the US Gov was able to use the idea of a "traitor" to normalize the idea to the American public that the government is spying on everyone all the time. Of course, they couldn't just come out and say it! To do so would be as rediculous as the best Monty Python skit.

A master stroke of evil genius, I'd say.

While the ignorant flag-waving 'Muricans are cussing up Snowden as a traitor, they are being programmed to accept massive intrusions into their personal life, completely unawares. Comrade: pay no attention to the full spectrum privacy violations and data mining when there is a "traitor" to hate!

I agree,

we DO

"live in a dangerous world."

By far the worst terrorists are governments. That makes our situation far more dangerous, since those who claim to be "protecting" us from "terrorists" are actually the worst of all terrorists.

If, and only if, Lisa Monaco, President Obama’s advisor on homeland security and terrorism, was to review all the publicly available information (and whatever classified information) about the events that happened on 9/11/2001, in order to come to the conclusion and publicly state that it was highly probable that 9/11 was an inside job, false flag attack, would it become possible for the world to stop being so much driven by self-fulfilling prophesies regarding the deliberate creation of the "War on Terror" by the ruling classes, inside of their overall systems of DEBT SLAVERY BACKED BY WARS BASED ON DECEITS.

Globalized civilization is getting way more dangerous every day, due to the degree that it more and more is dominated by the established systems based upon ENFORCING FRAUDS. In that context, people like Snowden only revealed some of the relatively trivial, tips of the icebergs, regarding how and why governments are the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals.

Therefore, while I AGREE "we live in a dangerous world," I think that it is WAY MORE DANGEROUS than people like Lisa Monaco state, since people like that are by far the most dangerous, due to their participation in the government of the USA being, by far, the biggest form of organized crime and terrorism on the planet. Since the government of the USA is operated by the best available professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, whose jobs are to carry out the continued integration of the established systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, INDEED, "we live in a dangerous world," since governments are by far the worst gangs of criminals, and terrorists, which could not be arrested by anyone else, and which cannot engage in any reasonable negotiations about anything, due to them being such TOTAL LIARS.

Snowden's revelations barely scratched the surface, while Snowden appears to still believe in typical impossible ideals. The problems that human beings face are that we must necessarily adapt under natural selection pressures, but have actually done so through developing artificial selection systems whose social successfulness was based on the maximum possible deceits and frauds. Within that context, our civilization has become forms of runaway criminal insanities, due to the social successfulness of dishonesty backed by violence becoming more and more psychotically out of touch with the underlying realities of natural selection pressures.

The basic problems are that some death control systems must necessarily exist, due to the chronic political problems inherent in the nature of life, while the actually existing death control systems were developed through the history of warfare, whereby the most successful human murder systems were done through the maximum possible deceits and treacheries, which then became the foundation for successful finance to be based upon ENFORCING FRAUDS.

The history of civilization was forged in the crucible of conflicts. The history of civilization was primarily the history of warfare. The oldest book on The Art of War starts by saying "success in war depends upon deceits," and ends by saying "spies are the most important soldiers." Others, like Machiavelli and Clausewitz, elaborated on the same themes, while one of the more recent formulations was that by Vladimirov: "All human history can be portrayed as the history of deception."

Successfully, BACKING UP LIES WITH VIOLENCE enables the boundaries between "pretending" versus "reality" to be blurred and crossed. Successfully TRICKING other people has been the backbone of organized crime, because of the ways that those TRICKS were working inside of the context whereby those facilitated the achievement robberies and murders. The fundamental basis of contemporary civilization is the ability of private banks and the corportions that grew up around those banks, to create the public "money" supply out of nothing as debts for everyone else, while, those FRAUDS ARE ENFORCED by governments, which enables those activities to achieve symbolic robberies. BEING ABLE TO ENFORCE FRAUDS makes the relationships between lies versus truth, or pretending versus reality, become hyper-complicated, because the lies assist the "truth" of the robberies and murders, that are the final physical result of those lies pretending to be the "truth."

SUCCESSFUL LIES SOMEWHAT CREATE REALITY.

HENCE, THERE ARE INTENSE PARADOXES BUILT INTO SOCIAL PYRAMID SYSTEMS BEING BASED ON BEING ABLE TO BACK UP DECEITS WITH DESTRUCTION. FURTHERMORE, THOSE INTENSE PARADOXES ARE AT THE HEART OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOVERNMENTS!

Snowden's presentations continue to operate within the context of taking for granted the dualities of false fundamental dichotomies and the related impossible ideals. While Snowden has revealed some of the superficial evidence that the government of the USA was massively engaged in as much spying on everyone as possible, Snowden's suggested bogus "solutions" to those problems does not admit and address the deeper reasons for how and why those problems exist, and have been getting worse, faster, at an exponentially accelerating rate, as progress in physical science is channeled through sociopolitical systems which were always based upon being able to back up lies with violence. Not only ARE governments the biggest forms of organized crime, and the worst terrorists, but also, they MUST necessarily be. The superficial presentations of people like Snowden reveal some of the evidence that the government of the USA has actually been behaving like that, however, that kind of superficial analysis then continues to present superficial "solutions" to those problems.

Due to the prolonged history of successful warfare based upon backing up deceits with destruction, which then morphed to become successful finance based upon ENFORCING FRAUDS, the established social pyramid systems more and more became dominated by the best professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, such as currently the case with someone like Lisa Monaco. The government of the USA is facing the paradox of final failure from too much success at having been the biggest forms of organized crime and terrorism on the planet. Indeed, the entire human species is headed towards committing collective suicide, due to the degree that progress in physical science has enabled the development of technologies becoming trillions of times more powerful and capable, which are being applied primarily to become better at being dishonest, and backing that up with violence.

The GREAT PARADOX is that natural selection pressures have driven human intelligence to develop artificial selection systems based upon the maximum possible deceits and frauds, which entrenched situation has made it politically impossible to develop better artificial selection systems, in order for the human species to continue to change and adapt within the context of the continuing infinitely greater natural selection pressures.

Within the human world, society is so totally dominated by the biggest bullies' bullshit, that it has become politically impossible to have any rational public debates about what our real problems are, since human history has developed the most expedient ways to resolve those real problems through death control systems based on the maximum possible deceits about themselves, in order to back up financial systems based on the maximum possible frauds. INTENSE PARADOXES abound that governments are necessarily the biggest forms of organized crime and terrorism, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals and terrorists. Our society is cruising on autopilot regarding that situation ... which means that it is indeed correct to assert that "we live in a dangerous world," which is actually getting more so at an exponentially accelerating rate.

There must necessarily be some death control systems, with human murder systems as the most extreme manifestation of that. However, the currently existing combined money/murder systems developed to do those by becoming the most extreme forms possible of backing up lies with violence. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for the world to become a less dangerous place unless those who worked within the Government of the USA would stop being such extreme professional hypocrites. However, OBVIOUSLY, as the situation currently exist, Lisa Monaco is actually a member in good standing of the biggest gang of terrorists and criminals on the planet, while projecting the blame for everything solely onto other groups of people, who are currently still lesser gangs of terrorists and criminals.

THE BIG PROBLEMS are that there now exist globalized systems of electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs. Within that context, the government of the USA is the biggest single player, which makes the government of the USA the single most dangerous element inside of the FACT that "we live in a dangerous world!" Meanwhile, of course, almost all of the other sociopolitical institutions everywhere else in the world are social pyramids based upon backing up lies with violence, in their own manners, such that there are no other significant groups which are not basically the same as the government of the USA. At the present time, it is politically impossible for there to be better negotiations between the different organized crime gangs that dominate the world, because of the ways that the biggest and best organized crime gangs adamantly refuse to admit those facts about themselves.

Overall, civilization has become runaway criminal insanities, whose psychotic detachment from the relatively real and objected facts are due to the degree to which social success became based upon being able to operate through backing up lies with violence, which was the foundation for the government of the USA to become based on almost nothing but integrated systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, which "legalization" did not actually change anything, except that kind of "legalization" demonstrated the degree to which the biggest bullies' bullshit stories were able to dominate society. The essential dilemma is that human beings must necessarily operate some death control systems, which must include the most extreme form of that being the human murder systems.

Those kinds of death controls then back up the monetary systems, because those death controls back up the debt controls. Therefore, there now exist combined murder/money systems based upon ENFORCING FRAUDS. However, doing that after the development of weapons of mass destruction automatically becomes more problematic every day, since the fundamental situation of society being based on ENFORCING FRAUDS never stops those frauds from still being false, but rather, every increment of short-term social success based on being able to continue to ENFORCE FRAUDS results in society as a whole overall become increasingly psychotic.

Snowden, et alia, tend to superficially reveal the ways that the government of the USA has been behaving more and more like criminals and terrorists. However, the basic approach of Snowden, et alia, does not propose any better death control systems. Rather, there tends to be promoted various impossible ideals, that human beings should not operate any death control systems, or that, at least, human beings should not be consciously aware of operating any death control systems. Since that is NOT possible, the only possible genuine solutions would require better militarism, to operate better murder systems, as the most extreme form of better death controls. However, that is NOT possible as long as the dominate systems continue to be done by a core groups of organized criminals and terrorists that are controlling governments, as well as controlling their apparent opposition, because of the degree that such "opposition" stays inside of the same frame of reference regarding the maximum possible deceitfulness about the human death control systems.

The essential dilemmas are that there already exist, and must exist, combined money/murder systems, whose social successfulness depends upon those being done through the maximum possible deceits, and frauds, which, in turn, requires that people like Lisa Monaco be amongst the best available professional liars and immaculate hypocrites. The OVERALL PROBLEM is that progress in physical science continues to enable technologies to get orders of magnitude more capable and powerful, while no surpassing progress in political science is allowed to occur, since the professional hypocrites like Lisa Monaco will surely continue to deliberately ignore the facts that the government of the USA is actually the biggest form of organized crime and terrorism on the planet at the present time, which is mostly covertly controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals and terrorists on the planet.

Hence, the Grand Canyon Chasms between progress in physical science, without surpassing progress in political science, continues to get wider and WIDER! Therefore, the secret police that actually work for the secret government of the USA are automatically becoming more criminally insane and psychotic every day, while there is almost nothing which is publicly significant to resist that kind of core of organized crime and terrorism than various controlled opposition groups, who still think within the same frame of reference of false fundamental dichotomies and related impossible ideals.

The basic relationship between natural selection and artificial selection systems is becoming more hyper-complicated every day, while that has overall become almost inconceivably crazy and corrupt, due to the long history of previously successful warfare based upon deceits, enabling previously successful finance to be based on frauds. The basic issue is that money is necessarily measurement backed by murder, while that basic issue is deliberately ignored and denied, as much as possible, by almost everyone who works within their specialized labour domain to operate those sociopolitical systems. OF COURSE, that would especially apply to someone who was currently like "Lisa Monaco, President Obama’s advisor on homeland security and terrorism!" Within the general context that the established systems are run by professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, someone like Lisa Monaco would have to be one of the available All-Stars at doing that.

Ghadaffi's last speech

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

GADDAFFI’S LAST FORMAL SPEECH – THIS IS VERY MOVING! In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful… For 40 years, or was it longer, I can’t remember, I did all I could to give people houses, hospitals, schools, and when they were hungry, I gave them food. I even made Benghazi into farmland from the desert, I stood up to attacks from that cowboy Ronald Reagan, when he killed my adopted orphaned daughter, he was trying to kill me, instead he killed that poor innocent child. Then I helped my brothers and sisters from Africa with money for the African Union. I did all I could to help people Understand the concept of real democracy, where people’s committees ran our country. But that was never enough, as some told me, even people who had 10 room homes, new suits and furniture, were never satisfied, as selfish as they were they wanted more. They told Americans and other visitors, that they needed "democracy" and "freedom" never realizing it was a cut throat system, where the biggest dog eats the rest, but they were enchanted with those words, never realizing that in America, there was no free medicine, no free hospitals, no free housing, no free education and no free food, except when people had to beg or go to long lines to get soup. No, no matter what I did, it was never enough for some, but for others, they knew I was the son of Gamal Abdel Nasser, the only true Arab and Muslim leader we’ve had since Salah-al-Deen, when he claimed the Suez Canal for his people, as I claimed Libya, for my people, it was his footsteps I tried to follow, to keep my people free from colonial domination – from thieves who would steal from us. Now, I am under attack by the biggest force in military history, my little African son, Obama wants to kill me, to take away the freedom of our country, to take away our free housing, our free medicine, our free education, our free food, and replace it with American style thievery, called "capitalism" ,but all of us in the Third World know what that means, it means corporations run the countries, run the world, and the people suffer. So, there is no alternative for me, I must make my stand, and if Allah wishes, I shall die by following His path, the path that has made our country rich with farmland, with food and health, and even allowed us to help our African and Arab brothers and sisters. I do not wish to die, but if it comes to that, to save this land, my people, all the thousands who are all my children, then so be it. Let this testament be my voice to the world, that I stood up to crusader attacks of NATO, stood up to cruelty, stoop up to betrayal, stood up to the West and its colonialist ambitions, and that I stood with my African brothers, my true Arab and Muslim brothers, as a beacon of light. When others were building castles, I lived in a modest house, and in a tent. I never forgot my youth in Sirte, I did not spend our national treasury foolishly, and like Salah-al-Deen, our great Muslim leader, who rescued Jerusalem for Islam, I took little for myself… In the West, some have called me "mad", "crazy", but they know the truth yet continue to lie, they know that our land is independent and free, not in the colonial grip, that my vision, my path, is, and has been clear and for my people and that I will fight to my last breath to keep us free, may Allah almighty help us to remain faithful and free". My brothers and sisters let's start loving more of each other and stop killing each other cause Europe America and other western world will never want to see sunshine of Africans...

Why bother even acknowledging the petition when it's so much fun to just carry on this nonsensical distraction known as Snowden the Hero/Villian?

Snowden is a hero who should be free from punishment.  I'm so sick and fucking tired of beuruacrats using national security to cover up their fucking crimes.  This needs to be an amendment to the consitution, no national security breach will be prosecuted if the breach reveals evidence that a felony is being comitted, regardless of the national security rating.   Doubly, if using national security rating is being used to cover up a felony, that is also a felony.

But it is the evil satanic American Empire that has created all that that information ( or rather truth). Truth cannot be hidden. Even those whose die with bitter truth , taking it in their bosom, have to stand stark naked in the afterlife.

But who cares about afterlife ? , Fcuk the EU , Fcuk the EW(entire world)

But when you yourself get fcuked up then you raise the hallaballoo and blame everyone and send bombers , nuclear bombs and executions , because you are rich, & rich are blameless?

The judgement day nears, let Armageddon begin.

Btw America is already going to hell , especially White House :
