Politicians from Both Sides of the Aisle: Corruption Has Destroyed America
We’ve thoroughly documented pervasive corruption in America.
There are some very juicy quotes from high-level insiders about corruption in the USA.
Jon Schwarz has rounded up a good collection of recent quotes on corruption from both sides of the aisle:
• “Now [the United States is] just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president. And the same thing applies to governors and U.S. senators and congressmembers. … So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors …” — Jimmy Carter, former president, in 2015.
• “You have to go where the money is. Now where the money is, there’s almost always implicitly some string attached. … It’s awful hard to take a whole lot of money from a group you know has a particular position then you conclude they’re wrong [and] vote no.” — Vice President Joe Biden in 2015.
• “Lobbyists and career politicians today make up what I call the Washington Cartel. … [They] on a daily basis are conspiring against the American people. … [C]areer politicians’ ears and wallets are open to the highest bidder.” — Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in 2015.
• “When you start to connect the actual access to money, and the access involves law enforcement officials, you have clearly crossed a line. What is going on is shocking, terrible.” – James E. Tierney, former attorney general of Maine, in 2014.
• “Allowing people and corporate interest groups and others to spend an unlimited amount of unidentified money has enabled certain individuals to swing any and all elections, whether they are congressional, federal, local, state … Unfortunately and rarely are these people having goals which are in line with those of the general public. History well shows that there is a very selfish game that’s going on and that our government has largely been put up for sale.” – John Dingell, 29-term Democratic congressman from Michigan, in 2014 just before he retired.
• “When some think tank comes up with the legislation and tells you not to fool with it, why are you even a legislator anymore? You just sit there and take votes and you’re kind of a feudal serf for folks with a lot of money.” — Dale Schultz, 32-year Republican state legislator in Wisconsin and former state Senate Majority Leader, in 2013 before retiring rather than face a primary challenger backed by Americans for Prosperity.
• “The alliance of money and the interests that it represents, the access that it affords to those who have it at the expense of those who don’t, the agenda that it changes or sets by virtue of its power is steadily silencing the voice of the vast majority of Americans … The truth requires that we call the corrosion of money in politics what it is – it is a form of corruption and it muzzles more Americans than it empowers, and it is an imbalance that the world has taught us can only sow the seeds of unrest.” – Secretary of State John Kerry, in 2013 farewell speech to the Senate.
• “I think it is because of the corrupt paradigm that has become Washington, D.C., whereby votes continually are bought rather than representatives voting the will of their constituents. … That’s the voice that’s been missing at the table in Washington, D.C. — the people’s voice has been missing.” — Michele Bachmann, four-term Republican congresswoman from Minnesota and founder of the House Tea Party Caucus, in 2011.
• “The banks — hard to believe in a time when we’re facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created — are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.” – Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., in 2009.

Indeed. Overwhelming level of corruption..... the word systemic doesn't even cover it adequately
add Greed and Mass Stupidity. That says it all . . . .
The brown nosing msm spin failed. This is the second anti-Trump campaign, of the corrupt mfs, by the corrupt mfs, for the corrupt mfs. Nothing will change with these mfs.
Step back and look at the bigger picture.
Now we be getting to the questions you must answer all by yourself. This aint like school where they give ya the answers.
Zion's governors divided up and labeled so as to seem to the masses as serving them, and not America's colonizing, exploiting, and plundering masters, Zion.
Liberty s a demand. Tyranny is submission..
If I found my interests inline with the pols and crats, I'd turn myself in for theft and murder.
“The woman is a flat out liar,” he continued. “She’s a woman who is devoted to the dollar rather the country. And I think her election would be a disaster to the American people.” - G. Gordon Liddy commenting about Hillary clinton
G. Gordon Liddy, the dood who once claimed to be a former Green Beret?
Who claimed to be a former FBI agent, when he was just at the DOJ, thanks to family connections? (They kicked him out of the CIA< where he was placed due to same family connections!)
Nope, cannot stand the entire jobs-offshoring Clinton family, traitorous neocon swine all, but the same applies to traitors like Liddy!
Could I trouble you for any links that substantiate your allegations? To my knowledge, Liddy never claimed to be Special Forces. I'd like to know where he made that claim.
Liddy was an FBI agent, that is a matter of record.
I have seen no claims of his that he was a CIA employee, ever. Link please?
There is only one answer but Americans do not have the spine, stomach or will to do it.
Fire is quick. Water takes time.
You can't extinguish water.
Because they will label it anti-Semitic
They accuse each other of being anti-semitic. Its that meaningless.
It really is disgusting...there's nothing left but fraud and corruption...top to bottom.

I like the Ted Cruz comment.....as though he is above it all. If you get this far in the game.....running for President.....you're a player.
Sociopaths seek power.
Cruz? The ultra-fruity looking dood whose wifey works at Goldman Sachs?
Just checking . . .
John Dingell, 29-term Democratic congressman from Michigan, in 2014 just before he retired.
I wonder of John figured out this special interest thing early or late in his career.
For those of you not from Michigan, Dingell was in the back pocket of the United Auto Workers union his entire career.
Read that unrestrained greed on all sides for that 29 year term and it did not go well for the rest of Michigan.
Now the union is a shadow of its former self, John is just a sad old man with no power and both the union and non union people from the great State of Michigan are still paying the price from all that greed.
Yeah! Plus, he reads Playboy on commercial airplanes and jacks off all over the place...
Evidence Please......no Wait....never mind
I remember James Tierney.

A politician's confession: "I stole and expect forgiveness because I told you about the others." They probably believe their god will forgive them
you spelled creed wrong ;P
When they don't mention the tribe, it's just politics as usual.
"No controlling legal authority" splains it all ..al gore you magnificent bastard.
LOLOLO… but he did invent the Internet, was the underlying basis for “Love Story” and with his Google winnings and private jet fleet is solving all of our carbon based problems.
Blah, blah, blah, "Corruption on both sides of the aisle." Perhaps true but....The (much) wider corruption comes from the American people who are happy to take government money relative to policies that are widely known to be unsustainable - excessively high government salaries and benefits and early retirement ages, social security when we all know the retirement age should be adjusted up drastically, dummy dollars for kids whom their parents urge not to succeed in school to keep the check coming, a major percentage of disability checks that go to those simply lazy or that could definitely do something else to make money, unemployment checks for a large percentage that suddenly can get a job as their benefits are about to run out, major government agencies that could be whittled back by simple changes in legislation - like a flat tax in regard to the IRS.
My gosh, the list seems endless. The monetary heroin of government money is killing our country. And, by the way, where were your shoes, shorts, socks, and pants made...or anything you purchased of late? Likely, not by an American worker.

Handicapped child handcuffed by cop and taunted for deserving this punishment. Humiliation.
Our men - wasteland of prostate pounding meat, bruised, scabbed Viagra-fed cocksuckers and pretty boys who scream in delight at the though of being raped by the biggest dick in the room.
Your post is irrefutable, but apparently quite a few don't want to be reminded of the fact that a Nation's leadership most of time is a reflection of the general society.
Another awesome cut/paste job! Take a well earned vacation to France, you've earned it! Where's Gordon Gekko? Did he off himself? I need him to tell me if now is a good time to buy gold. This is the place I get all my investment advice. See ya later George.
Buy low sell high dumbass
damn I had my "ass filter" on high and you still got through.
the separation of powers means nothing any longer.
The NSA has been granted the capability of corrupting anyone anywhere in the world at any time
The judicial branch utters constitutional nonsense, Congress refuses to even read th elegislation it signs, and the executive branch has nither the inclination or capacity to read and understand the most liberating document in human history-the US Constitution.
The consequnce is the complete loss of the moral high ground ove rthe rest of the world-and the transformation of diplomacy and negotiation into a strong arm bullying show.
There are stil separation of powers but all three branches report to a higher power.l
.. might that be a Rot Schild or a few of the lower levels?
... round up all of the elected and nonelected ruling political elite miedras along with SCOTUS fossilized farts, sand paper all their skins off and bury them in salt....
I thnk you might want to actually to consider some lime to go along with that solution.
and a trickle of water.
Yeah, you pretty much summed it up there.
One point though....the sociopaths that be know exactly how they are fucking us.
“whereby votes continually are bought rather than representatives voting the will of their constituents”
Well, at least I can fly a 20’ x 40’ Stars and Bars on a 100' pole over my house in the near suburbs of Chicago without repercussions.
I can't imagine many sights that would better assuage the long-term concerns of the ruling elite than that of millions of sheeple faithfully flying their flags. A national election with a turnout greater than 58 percent would be even more comforting, but let's not get absurd.
Dad is a 24 year career air force cold warrior.
When Obama was elected he started flying a soviet flag over a distressed american flag. Still does it.
He lives out in the middle of pretty much nowhere, but the highway has a lot of traffic headed to mines and Big Bear. We once had some asshole stoip and come down to see why we were flying those flags (FBI) and we politely told him to go fuck hisself. Meantime, truckers are hitting airhorns as they go by.
A friend of mine is a refugee from Cuba. Left on the SS Houston only to find out it was going back loaded with anti-Castro soldiers.
Anyway, he recognized Obama for what he was. Upon seeing the election results, he simply stated that if he wanted to live under communism he would have just stayed in Cuba.
I hate to break the news to you kids.. but…
this seems to be where the real freedom and sanity is nowadays..

American is not ruined, it just needs a completely new group in DC and the American people will respond as they always do. We are a strong and decent country and we do not see color, religion or sexual orientation like politicians do. We have the same love and friendship for all colors it is the evil of politicians who tear us apart! I for 1 am very disappointed with what is going on in America right now but I still love my country and will do all I can to help save it. Get rid of the wars and the fiat money, write off most of this debt and put constraints on Government and we will come back strong again! Everyone still wants to be in American don’t kid you! Legal immigration is what is our glue but untethered and illegal immigration is a danger to all.
Keep dreaming, anyone who believes in the founding fathers and that we are just going to kick all the officials out and start over is delusional at best. The only way you’re going to get the corrupted government out is by civil war because they will not go quietly. If ya hadn’t noticed the government has been preparing for civil war for a very long time and their pockets are deep with your wealth they stole.
Legal immigration needs to be on a replacement basis. Someone leaves, someone can come in. We should be trying to achieve a stable population in a system that does not depend on growth in population. I'm waaay past my comfort level for number of humans in this country. Way past.
"I'm waaay past my comfort level for number of humans in this country. Way past."
interesting comment, but I have a bit of statistical reality for you that you might want to ponder about
American cities are growing and getting more dense. in fact, they have surpassed european cities in that (if you factor in the immense suburban space you have)
on the other side...
American non-urban space is getting less and less populated. again, surpassing Europe in that
could it be that your confort levels are more about the levels of urbanization around you? just a thought
What we neeeed is a ten year moratorium on all immigration, a roundup operation like the one Eisenhower ran, and an end to the conniving and dastardly Fed.
Wages would rise, debt would be retired and maybe we could pull out of this national nosedive.
Maybe I will just do it to see how much fun could be have.
