Russia Ready To Send Paratroopers To Syria
As Syria’s civil war enters its fourth year, it’s become something of an open secret that ISIS, for all their bluster and Hollywood-level video editing capabilities, are at best an unhappy side effect of efforts to train and arm the Syrian resistance and at worst, are a "strategic asset" funded and supported by coalition governments.
In other words, there is indeed a geopolitical chess match going on here that will have far-reaching consequences when the blood and dust settle, but it has nothing to do with ISIS’ far-fetched quest to establish a Medieval caliphate and everything to do with installing a government in Syria that will be more friendly to the interests of the West and its Middle Eastern allies.
ISIS will remain in play as long as they are necessary, but once the time comes for the US to clean up the mess left by Syria’s three-front war once and for all, that will be all she wrote for this particular CIA asset. Until then, everyone apparently gets to use Islamic State as an excuse to pursue their own political agenda, as evidenced by Turkey’s new war on "terrorists." Not wanting to miss an opportunity to justify what would otherwise be a rather brash declaration, Russia is reportedly ready to send in the paratroopers should Syria request Moscow’s help in battling terrorist elements. Here’s more via Tass:
The Russian Airborne Troops are ready to assist Syria in countering terrorists, if such a task is set by Russia’s leaders, commander of the Airborne Troops Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov told reporters on Tuesday.
(USSR paratroopers ca. 1975)
"Of course we will execute the decisions set forth by the country’s leadership, if there is a task at hand," Shamanov said, in response to a Syrian reporter’s question about the readiness of the Russian Airborne Troops to render assistance to Syria’s government in its battle against terrorism.
Shamanov noted that Russia and Syria have "long-term good relations." "Many Syrian experts, including military, received education in the Soviet Union and in Russia," Shamanov added.
In other words, two (or three, or four) can play at the "use ISIS as an excuse to go to war with our real enemies" game and just like the US can send in trainers and "forward spotters" to protect its interests in Iraq, so too can Russia send in a few airborne troops to protect its interests in Damascus.
It’s now only a question of political will and as we’ve outlined on a few occasions recently, it’s not entirely clear how much longer Vladimir Putin is willing to support Bashar al-Assad in the face of the debilitating, Saudi-engineered slump in crude prices and the biting economic sanctions imposed on the Kremlin by Europe.

Now the endgame approaches in Syria.
The Nobel Prize Winner will call Putin a demented "mass-murderer" for intervening in Syria even as Obama created ISIS, told lies about sarin and is bombing Syria even today.
Forward.

This is interesting. I know our Satanic Overlords want Assad gone before they take out Iran. That's primarily why they created ISIS. I've always wondered if Putin was under their control. If he saves Assad that would be some evidence he is not. We'll see I guess.
Egads, a proxy WW3... so, another cold war except this time the U.S. is in worse shape than Russia financially.
My guess is that Putin, is looking to bring this whole Arab Spring / Nabucco / SudStream / ISIS debacle to a close.
It's hardly a coincidence that in the space of 18 months the Sudstream route and the Nabucco route were both embroiled in chaos and civil war.
Ukraine was overthrown by the West in an attempt to block Sudstream and action against Assad was vetoed by the Kremlin in an attempt to block Nabucco.
Then... drum roll please... at the height of the Sudstream v's Nabuco stalemate... an epic oil price crash... Driven by a supply side price war... Whocouldaseenthat?!
I believe the second photo is of Russian Marines. The striped undershirt is their trademark.
..this is cool.. . most don’t remember Anwar…I listened to him in the ‘70’s from a P-3…

Crap… this whole hegemon thing sucks
How does an American join the Russian Army?
Does anyone know?
Drink a bottle of vodka then fieldstrip an AK47 in under 10 seconds.
The vodka might help...since I thought getting involved in a land war in Asia (Minor) was a bad idea...
Ypa!
I thought Russia had invaded the world and planted bases in countries across the globe? Thats why they need to be sanctioned and destroyed. What? Thats the US? Oh thats right!
There is no civil war in Syria. What is going in is that the CIA trained and funded ISIS as a weapon to use to aid in causing getting rid of Syrian leadership. Google it as there are tons of news articles on this and the funding of ISIS. Oligarchs in America want to control resources in the middle east by placing their own puppet governments. Look what they did to Afghanistan for the opium supplies.
Follow the money!

THe USA said it would bomb assad troops if they attacked the FSA but if Russian troops are doing the artilery strikes and stating they are firing on ISIS would the USA dare bomb Russian soldiers? For the sake of ISIS aka FSA aka NUSRA aka CIA etc
The Russians are being sent there to destroy classified information. No one else here in the military?
There seems to be an endless supply of stupid cunts of the male gender willing to go and fight in shit holes and risk their lives for their oligarch masters.
Die you stupid cunts, the lot of you fucking die, regardless of the side on which you fight. Where lies the true evil, the gutless psycopaths sitting in meeting rooms or the actual men doing the bidding and killing.
Bring on the asteroid.

That's pretty doable. AKs exceptionally easy.
This is stupid, a short two days ago I was told Putin had given up on Assad, his access to the Med and blocking the NG pipeline, just given up.. Whats that, Putin plays chess, so not not giving up, ohh... Never mind..
.
at the end of a story about Turkish politics and Erdogan's power grab, that CIA-operated AFP reported on Erdogan saying, as quoted by the Daily Sabah, that

Russians do not drink.
The only "Russians" known to the American public are the "Russian" immigrant Jews, who, instead of landing in Israel, chose to enjoy themselves in the States, where they organized the "Russian" mafia -- their names would be Boris, Aron, Adam, Benjamin/Veniamin, Daniel, David, Gena, Isaak, Mike/Moishe, Mark, Natan, Noah, Seva/Sheba (i.e. "seven"), surprisingly, Alik/Alec/Alexander (Alec-Sender/Shender) and, yes, Ivan/Evan, from Biblical "Eva" -- with their wives' typical names Alla, Anna, Julia, Nata/Natalia/Natasha (from Usher), Elena, Olga/Elga, Sarah, Tamara ("tamar" means "palm tree" in Hebrew).
Don't forget that names starting from EL/AL come from the cult of Saturn, whose other name is EL.

What's the point in discussing Obama's citizenship, when his mom, Ann Dunham, is Jewish? Barak is a Jewish name.

now that is witty, i may join you, wow this waters cold, but not very deep
Sailor, your comment is even wittier! Or is that "more witty?"
That would be a naive point of view.
Snowden is a CIA/Mossad operative, exposed by the Russians, who turned him into a media symbol with a sole purpose of trolling his masters.
During the cold war this move would end the Syrian gambit. Not sure anybody is any smarter now.
Anyone looking forward to Russian and American troops fighting each other directly?
I'm not.
What say you Senator McCain?
What a bullshit story. A general says his troops are ready to go where ordered. That means EXACTLY NOTHING.
Hey, let me announce I'm ready to fuck any super model who makes herself available. Doesn't mean it is any closer to happening.
War hero Mccain says he will wet start his Skyhawk in your face.. Then he'll produce some propaganda and give up some other info just to show you..
Someone in the Media should ask Obama and/or Hillary how that RESET thing turned out to be such a fuking disaster. But they won't because the Media would never hold them accountable. Plus, it would detract from giving them fellatio.
I remember the day Anwar was killed..thinking someone wanted to kill off the adults and competition. Then they put in Mubarek until he was not useful anymore ..Mursi an Obama CIA muppet.. the Egyptian military ...hard to tell ..either a player or stand by and watch the rest of the Arab world crackmup. Egyptians I have known are far more secular..they have tolerated the Coptics for hundreds of years..and when it appears the Taliban types are about to take control the military responds. Egypt has a stable bureaucratic class... and old families still have power..actually not a bad place to visit or do business until the USSA and or Western power brokers have to stir things up. It is good the military retains some of its power..only concern is US StatevDept and this totally inept clueless vile administration trying to impose its idiocy on them..they will not stand for it..Obama in Kenya trying to impose ""gay rights""on them is in of THE most embarrassing moments in recent US relations with Africa. Obama is dangerous..if he believes his ow bullshit he will have us in war soon..or at least make it difficult for the next guy
Obama is dangerous in that his naive worldview is MORE likely to get us into WWIII. Wouldn't that be a kick in the ass? Of course, the Liberals and the Media would blame Bush for it all.
Blue and white striped telnyashka and/or blue beret is VDV (Russian air landing forces).
Black and white telnyashka and/or black beret is Naval Infantry (Russian marines).
i suggested in a ZH post (as will ling) recently that vlad place a coupla divisions w/air cover in there and tell all mf'ers to come and get it.
i'm upping that to 5 divisions and really have it out.
Pipeline wars.
Yawn.
Could be a lot of hot air. This is a 4 star responding to a Syrian journalist at a PR event celebrating 70 years since the Russian paras were created.
Seemed to me to be pretty much on message, we just do what the politicians tell us.
Just like US 4 stars, always on message, not sure who's sometimes tho'.
Seems more credible than an unknown Russian official's claim that Putin is ready to abandon Syria and thinks it's time for Assad to go. Syria itself might not be worth going to war over, but letting the U.S. and U.K. run amok and install their puppet governments in Iraq, Syria and eventually Iran has always been an issue.
Just released
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia has no plans to send its military personnel to fight Islamic State militants in Syria or to join the coalition airstrikes against IS positions, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
"This possibility is not on discussion agenda at all," Peskov told reporters in Moscow.
Peskov added that Syrian President Bashar Assad had never asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to send troops to Syria.

Go On.

No more war! This has almost nothing to do with the CIA created ISIS 'terrorist' group. This is about golbal control. Here is Trump saying that he bomb Syria to make our great oil companies some more money: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq7T8wAZj2E
Our military cannot keep us safe when they are thousands and thousands miles away. In fact, they are creating more enemies for America by the day. Imagine that a wedding party got bombed by a drone a few counties away fom your house. Entire towns across would signup to get revenge. This happens all the time, just on the other side of the planet!
I knew I missed something and there you have it - damned golbal control.
"Why do they ask me if I want to change the golbal template? I don't give a
damn about the golbal template. When I say no I do not want to change the
golbal template I get an other message asking the same thing and I am stuck
intill I say yes. Then why I say yet there is still some propblem where I
have to change the names of some files. Why to they ask if the can do
something when I am going to be forced to do it anyway untless I pull the
plug on the computer."
Yes it is about global control, Israeli control of Middle East energy sources giving it control of most of the world.
There's a few fixes. Granted, it's not as shocking as a bombing, but how much are we doing about any of the above?
1) don't send your kids to government schools
2) I urged my senators to defund planned parenthood. (I need to more, something that actually be effective)
3) we need to end the war on drugs that creates fatherless families daily. (juries need to nullify every drug charge. when appointed to a jury, I will nullify any victimless crime).
4a) end the fed. I am trying to spread awareness by sending out flyers to go along with my candles with silver coins (https://www.etsy.com/shop/ScentSavers?ref=hdr_shop_menu).
4b) Also don't rely on welfare promises or funny money. They will be worth absolute zero someday. By the way, you NEED a license to cut hair, hopefully he has the paperwork or he will lose more of retirement.
I'l be the first to admit, that I can do more. But all of us who are awake, need to do something about this mess that we find ourselves in.
you reach out to your senator over planned parenthood? Lol. It's legal, get over it.
You have a different meaning of the word legal. Legal does not mean anything that government is doing. Read Bastiat's "The Law". It will only take a couple hours to read. You will learn what the law truely is. Hint: the government gets its power from the people, therefore they cannot have any rights that the people themselves do not have!
The Law Fredric Bastiat
You are right, abortion is legal. I wouldnt call my senator for any reason because it is a waste of time...the guy above did so to de-fund planned parenthood, eliminate the money the feds give the organization. Has nothing to do with legality of abortion, only one organization that gets tons of govt cheese.
+1
Consider this an upvote. You are correct on all points. But as for public schools, as far as I am concerned..its child abuse.
So are lots of other abuses the federal governemnt commits. We kno that they cannot be trusted with running the government, we should not trust them with our kids from 7:45am-3:00pm. Get them out of governemnt schools!
We also know that they control the courts, so they will not be charged in any child abuse case.
No kidding. When I was in middle school one of the teachers demanded the girls wear short skirts in his class in exchange for As. Among other things. Nothing happend until one dad finally told the principal, "Deal with this or I will deal with the guy myself; my daughter is not sitting under him." The teacher was transferred to another school and last I heard he was coaching a girls' basketball team.
I can barely contain how mad I am about everything that goes on in these schools. At minimum they ALL need to be shut down, but personally I'd like to see investgations and some people jailed. At least a documentary about something I often saw; a kid weeping in the hallway, teacher shouting obscenities at him, and then slamming the door in his face while he sits there crying in the hallway. I will not let my kids go through that.
I taught in a middle for two years. I agree on the systematic child abuse; the system is incredibly dehumanizing to both the students and teachers.
Ha, the system is populated by Union drones who give not a shit as long as Summer is off and the perks and pay keep coming.. The long suffering underpaid teacher is a myth. Just drug them boys up and do the rote system year after year, retire to ease..
My state (Iowa) was right-to-work, so only half of the teachers were union. Either way, I was a grad student on fellowship; I took a little extra pay for a double workload (not a big deal, grad school is intellectually demanding but the work itself is easy), but it was worth looking at the school system through adult eyes to really understand what's going on.
The dehumanizing side for teachers is that you are incredibly hamstrung on disciplinary matters, so students more or less have to start throwing punches to warrant immediate action. Drugged up kids are not necessarily under control; the drugs are perpetuating a myth that all misbehavior is a psychiatric condition, so "I can't help it because I was BORN THIS WAY!" Girls can show a pretty impressive amount of violence too. This breeds a lot of teacher-student animosity; students certainly don't benefit because the one who actually wanted to learn anything couldn't ask questions while some other kid is shouting about how the PIN on his SNAP card is 6969 and the teacher starts shouting about how 'dishonest,' 'rude,' and generally how 'bad' students are.
After this is neoptism and bureaucracy. One 8th grade teacher explained to me how the 7th grade teacher for her subject just played movies in his class every day, the principal did nothing about it because nepotism, and she gets all the flak because the kids are 1-2 years behind on her subject, a quarter can't read, "but only 20% of your kids are passing!" That's the other scary part; I taught science but a quarter of the kids can't read and half can't do math. You're about right with the do-nothing teachers.
For bureaucrats, my goodness I hate them. Fat, 40-50 year old women, pulling down 6 figure salaries to push people around with the most asinine ideas. Seriously, every year there's a new way to 'save education!' And since I did the program two years and knew the program director beforehand, I asked her during her 'look at this amazing new thing to improve education' talk about the last two ideas she was pushing. Man, I never saw such mental gynamstics.
I've talked with a lot of teachers and former teachers between that program and grad school, and here is the bottom line:
1) The school system creates animosity between teachers and students purely by the way it is constructed.
2) The resulting abuse and failures to learn are not discussed.
3) Most of the parents don't care.
4) Teachers either quit within 3 years because they see the farce and quit on conscience, the rest sell out and do the minimum necessary for the paycheck and bennies if they can't transfer to the suburban schools.
Finally, there's one special case for certain cities. Des Moines is also a destination city for refugees, which brings some pretty unique challenges. I can kinda work with kids who speak Mandarin or Spanish, but how am I or even the school's translators supposed to know how to speak the dozen or so exotic Asian or African languages going through class every day? One of my colleagues in another school also told me about a case of African-American kids beating up an African refugee because "your great great grandpa sold my great great grandpa into slavery!" Only problem was, the target was a Sudanese child veteran, who swore to rally his fellow veterans for revenge. I don't know the full details of what followed but a lot of kids got moved after that one.
There was also a race war between two refugee groups at another school; basically we found a conflict 10,000 miles away and moved it right to our backyard. Des Moines schools were a freak show, not places of education.
My leftist colleagues still couldn't put two and two together though: "We need to throw even more (of other people's) money at it (with no accountability) !"
Iowa was a nice state in a few places, but I'm glad to be out of there.

Wow, in that first pic they didn't even need parachutes! How fucking tough are these guys?
ISIS is doomed.
+1 for the humor but they're jumping off the post to practice parachute landing falls... badly I might add, or at least that's not the same technique we use in the US.
Thanks Capt. Obvious
He's obviously wrong.
Nobody on earth practices PLFs in their berets while holding an AK in one hand.
There's only one time soldiers in any army are ever that enthusiastic: It's obviously potato vodka happy hour and time to smoke a carton of cigs.
Russian paratroopers (Vozdushno desantnye voyska) will never even take their beret into a combat zone, it is considered bad luck for it to get lost, dirty, or damaged in any way.
1. This isnt a civil war so cut the horse shit.
2. Zerohedge seems to be running wild with anti assad propaganda lately so what gives here?
We are staring ww3 in the face here but recent russian diplomatic efforts in turkey and saudi arabia ( despite the bullshit on this site ) may thankfully forestall it.

In a recent poll run in Ukraine by a Ukrainian organisation, when asked who they would prefer to run their country, 84% of respondents chose Putin. Porkyshanko came in at 1%.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. Just yesterday Putin had thrown in the Spider man towel on Assad. What gives Turkey?
Hard to tell what is happening in the ME but this seems like a semi-official response to that with a clear "Assad's still our man" message.

This could get interesting... a game of Armageddon, anyone?
Well, if we're getting 'Biblical' here - not quite yet... It'll walk, talk and perhaps even look like it - for a short spell, but then the great 'Peace broker' makes his appearance... What follows will probably make one wish for Armageddon.
On August 2, Britain’s Sunday Express newspaper headlined “SAS dress as ISIS fighters in undercover war on jihadis,” saying:“More than 120 members belonging to the elite regiment are currently in the war-torn country” covertly “dressed in black and flying ISIS flags,” engaged in what’s called Operation Shader – attacking Syrian targets on the pretext of combatting ISIS.
Maybe covert US special forces and CIA elements are involved the same way. During Obama’s war on Libya, Britain deployed hundreds of Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) paratroopers – drawn from SAS (Special Air Service) and SBS (Special Boat Service) personnel
http://www.globalresearch.ca/british-sas-special-forces-dressed-up-as-is...
"Forward scouts advise that US citizen British and American operatives have been active in this sector. Dalek central command orders that they are to be eliminated.
Seek, locate, exterminate! Seek, locate, exterminate!"
First they train them and then they fight them.
British SAS Special Forces “Dressed Up as ISIS Rebels” Fighting Assad in Syria
That should be obvious. We have plenty of video footage of that fact - mostly beheadings and such.
All the ISIS guys in the vids wear scary black ISIS outfits, complete with British Special Service-issue desert boots. I mean, come on... ISIS should have their own scary non-infidel-supplied boots and not have to rely on cobblers for the Great Satan's little mini-me: the U.K.
Some tough bastards, don't even need a parachute!
pods
Remember, the fall doesn't hurt, but the landing will kill you.
lol that first picture. Soviet "paratroopers" jump without parachutes :D
if the first paratrooper dies after he jumps, the next paratrooper takes off the first troopers parachute and puts it on.
If you threaten the Motherland they are damn near that fanatic, by the way the M-44/91 is in the original story.
After ISIS is done in Syria they will head to the Caucases so i think its a matter of choosing the battlefield.
in a way, those crack troops are a form of "human shield"
a "no bomb zone" as a counter to the recently unleashed "defensive bombing campaign in support of our ISIS-fighting allies"
behold President Putin and his uses of deniable but also undeniable, official forces. Uncle Vlad, please keep them this way
I wonder when they got there.
Strategic news is only made public AFTER the event.
Putin just called Obozo, hope he can play poker better than his golf.
They never got there, they are not there, they never said they were there.
Moscow never said they are ready to send any troops.
A commander says that if order to do a mission he is willing to obey orders. That is all that has happened. Wow, is the situation within the russian military such that a willingness to obey an order to fight is big news?
Paratroopers? What? What war are they trying to fight, WW2 again. Would their choice really be to parachute these guys in? Dramatic but stupid I would think.
If Moscow wants to make commitment then fly troops, vehicles, tanks, heavy arms and fighter jets into Syria and establish a presence. Sitting on a ship docked and enjoying the weather does not count.
Nothing but more talk from Putin. More what if's from the Putin fans, more don't poke the bear, more THIS IS IT!! - More Nothing.
Has Putin fired a single shot? NO. Fly a single mission and bomb the invaders. Hit a single convoy of vehicles. Shoot down a single enemy jet.
Putin still refuses to deliver anti air missiles that Syria contracted with russia for many, many years before this conflict even started.
You know who has fired a shot, who has flown missions and bombed, who has fired missiles, who has killed someone, who has advisors and soon troops on the ground? Not Putin.
Stumpy. You may want to read up on the events surrounding the Russians racing to, and occupying, the airport in Serbia during the conflict in the 90's.
Despite orders from Wesley Clarke to attack the Russians, the French commander refused.
The Russian military command discussed potential retaliatory measures should their troops at the airport be fired upon. The agreed upon response was to detonate a relatively small nuclear airburst high above the US naval fleet in the Adriatic. As the participants were well aware that their discussions were being monitored by US intelligence, it has been surmised that this was the way to telegraph to US leaders what to expect if their troops were attacked.
True/not true? Decide for yourself, but this would put Ghordeus' and Winston's comments in an interesting context.
It would not surprise me for false communications to be issued by Russia. Although there is no evidence even that occured.
My understanding is that this event at the airport occured AFTER the fighting had stopped. After the west had defeated those they opposed while Russia did nothing. Did Russia bomb anyone during the conflict or fire a single shot?
After Assad flees or is killed by the west I could see Russia moving to occupy, as a security force, the port where their ships are. Even that could become difficult over time due to hit and run attacks, mortars and such.
During the period when the Crimeans voted to rejoin the Russian Federation, Russian troops stationed in Crimea under treaty peacefully persuaded 18,000 of the 20,000 Ukrainian troops to transfer to the Russian military (for a x4 pay rate). The other 2000 were allowed to return to Ukraine. Negotiations went on for about 3 weeks with one group of NATO-trained marines at Feodosia. They were taken out using soft force. Live ammunition was used against the arms store, blanks and flash-bangs against the people (2:06:00 onwards). One group of Nazis holed up in one of the Ukraine navy ships refused to surrender. They were taken out by Russian Spetsnaz with no fuss, no drama, no failure (1:51:00).
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=cea_1427295035
The big difference between the US military and the Russian? The US goes in guns blazing, collateral damage everywhere. The Russians use force only where and when necessary.
Nitpick..it was British General Mike Jackson who told Clark he was not going to start WW3 over Pristina airport..Clark always was a pretty boy .in Col. David Hackworths jargon, a perfumed prince..Clark and Petraeus, both ambitious but mildly retarded butt kissers..both have appeared and spoken at Atlantic Council and Aspen Institute..they were used and got full of themselves..now they are on the useful idiot shit list. Anyway, the link to the Jackson caperhttp://www.theguardian.com/world/1999/aug/02/balkans3
Not a nitpick. British General Mike Jackson is a hero to the small group of Americans (and a considerable number of U.S. soldiers) that understand clearly how he prevented WW III by not backing down to the stupid, arrogant American General Clark and his poor command decisions. More glasses were tipped to General Jackson that day by U.S. military types then all the glasses that ever were or ever will be tipped to that treasonous psychopath and little bitch Clark.
That's never going to be reported on CNN, but I hope Jackson somehow knows about the eternal respect he earned among U.S. military. Soldiers always appreciate someone with a spine willing to stand up to blowhard brass.
Russian troops have been in and out of Syria repeatedly for nearly two decades now, to the point that the Russian military has a particular "desert camo" uniform manufactured and issued specifically for use in Syria (where they train with and alongside Assad's Syrian troops), and a Syrian pattern was used in US Army Natick Labs field trials against what would become Universal Camouflage Pattern (and, for that matter, current issue "Scorpion" pattern) back in 2004.
There are no deserts in Russia.
The Russian VDV (paratroopers) and Naval Infantry (marines) are Russia's standing rapid reaction forces, basically their better troops on a permanent low-alert readiness state. These are what were used in Crimea in 2014, and part of the force used in Georgia in 2008. So if they wanted a small, rapidly-deployable force, it makes sense that they would be used yet again, even if they actually arrived by truck convoy, ship, or military transport aircraft.
The bombing of human shields have a habit of disappearing from the msm, well at least when "our" guys bomb them. The psychos at the State Dept might consider it a propaganda bonus to deliberately bomb Russian paratroopers in Syria to bolster their demonization of Russia.
What I do wonder about is what happens when American/British jet bombers get shot down? How exactly is that going to be spun? We are bombing a sovereign nation without declaring a war, ostensibly to target ISIS which our governments have created, trained and supplied, apparently to protect another group of Islamic fundamentalist terrorists (FSA/Al Nusra/whatever) which our governments have created, trained and supplied. While at the same time bombing the legitimate government of Syria who are fighting these terrorists our governments have created. Is that right? Oh I forgot, the US, via NATO member Turkey is also bombing the Kurds, the PKK who are fighting against ISIS.
So, apparently we're bombing anyone who fights against ISIS. Okey dokey then. How the fuck can Obama get away scott free when he is declaring that he will bomb Syrian troops in their own country who are fighting against ISIS and other nutjobs created by his State Dept? When "our" jets go down, which seems likely, Obama will either have to escalate the situation to the full scale invasion plan of Syria from 2013 again risking a direct war with Russia or stand down. All the while creating a bigger cannibal soup of Syria with his favourite ingredients: Women and children. The whole convoluted mess makes me sick to the pit of my stomach.
Well, NATO troops are training and supporting Nazis in Ukraine, so why not ISIS too. Isn't there a saying 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'?
Obama authorizes escalation of US war against Syria
By Bill Van Auken4 August 2015
President Barack Obama has authorized US air strikes to defend a small band of Pentagon-trained mercenaries inside Syria, including against any potential attack by Syrian government forces.
The blanket permission for employing US air power, ostensibly in support of less than 60 “rebels” who have been trained, armed and paid by the US military supposedly to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), paves the way for a dramatic escalation of the war for regime change against the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad.
The threat of an intensified US air war came as a group of independent journalists released a report substantiating the deaths of at least 459 civilians, including 100 children, in just six months as a result of air strikes launched by the US and other members of Washington’s so-called coalition. Just one attack, launched against Hawija, Iraq on June 3, killed over 70 civilians.

Syria foreign minister in Tehran for talks with Iran, Russia
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN0Q91RL20150804?irpc=932
DUBAI (Reuters) - Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem arrived in Tehran on Tuesday for talks with Iranian and Russian officials expected to focus on efforts to end the four-year-old war in his country.
Moallem will meet Mikhail Bogdanov, President Vladimir Putin's special envoy to the Middle East, on Tuesday evening before holding talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday, Iranian media reported.
Iran and Russia have stood by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, providing military and financial support, during the civil war, whereas the United States and some of its Gulf Arab allies have said Assad must leave office.
Iran and world powers led by the United States reached a nuclear agreement on July 14 but both sides have made it clear that the deal will not change their policies in the region.
Moualem on July 24 reiterated his government's view that Iran's support for Damascus would continue after the deal.
Speaking about Moualem's visit, Iranian deputy foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian suggested the chances of a diplomatic resolution of the war were growing.
"Fortunately we see a change in the strategy of regional players in the Syrian crisis. If four years ago they believed war is the only solution, now they prefer to focus on diplomacy," Amir-Abdollahian was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Saudi Foreign Ministrer Adel al-Jubeir and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, meeting in Qatar on Monday, "acknowledged the need for a political solution to the conflict and the important role to be played by opposition groups in reaching that solution", a senior State Department official said.
Reuters is Rothschild's propaganda rag. All lies all the time.
So the USA bombs some Russians fighting for Syrias' freedom from ISIS and then WW3 is on.
Nice job , Obomber you fucking nigga bastard.
Opposition to controlled opposition is my friend.
I remember when the USA used to fight for freedom of other people. NOw they fight so terrorists can thrive
Over the years I have gone backed and research our wars, and I don't think we ever went to war to fight for the freedom of other people. Not even sure we liberated France. They seemed to be doing quite well and were mostly happy under their peace treaty with Germany. SUaved millions of french lives and destruction of their country., maybe they shouldn't have declared war on Germany in the first place. Besides, our "Liberation" of france killed far more German civilians than Rommel's Blitzkrieg did. That's History. Look it up.
Now did we liberate Poland, East germany, Hungary and the rest of Eastern Europe? Hell no. Gorbachev did. We stupidly allowed Stalin to march in and enslave those countries, while an infuriated General Patton was forced to sit idly by.
Savy, you may want to correc German Civilians to Frence Civilians.
Small correction.
They create the terrorists.
Then arm,fund and train them.
Give them air cover.
Then fight to have them thrive.

Bonkers Bolton and Lynn-sey Graham could handle all those dudes in the second picture... no sweat
.
Agreed, as long as Bolton and Graham were outfitted with Mil-Spec kneepads.
I saw today that the USA will attack anyone who attacks ISIS , instead of them. Shows that they are using ISIS to try an topple ASSAD.
They must hate Assad because has British Christian wife and kids. and believes in protecting hiis country.
Much like Ghaddaffi, who was a great leader and built Libya into the best country in Africa until the USA destroyed it.
Just a reminder The USA used the BIG LIE that Ghaddaffi was going to kill his own people. TOTAL BULLSHIT!!
The ''rebels'' were a handful of fucking terrorists in Ben-Ghazi who were stirred up by the CIA.
Without NATO bombing , Libyan troops would have kicked their ass within 24 hours.
Yes, it would have been that easy. But you know who voted for the no fly zone and air bombing of Libya's troops. RUSSIA.
You know who did nothing, who was helpless even against that then rag tag little group of rebels? RUSSIA
Did russia force Libya to give up chemical arms like russia did to Iraq and Syria, just before the real fighting started?
With Friends Like Russia/Putin ......
Is jumping out of a perfectly good airplane really the right way to start?
These guys in the pic are not falling, they are levitating, and appear to have mastered the technique.
Early Soviet experiments in mastering the stolen code for Photoshop v1.
That's actually very funny commentary and historically accurate with respect to Soviet propagandists, so I upvoted in spite of the clear historical ignorance on display
It has to be made relatable for modern audiences, don'cha know.
Sadly, I know this to be true
***RED ALERT*** Paging Nuldelman-Kagan! Paging Nudelman-Kagan!....
Your broomstick is set-to-go! Loaded with Assad-seeking bunker-busters!
You will be accompanied by Samantha, Susan, Hillary & Lindsey - The Screehing Sorority Squadron - flying, get this, in Star Of David formation!
The USSA Knesset & the Kenyan wish you well - Over!
Oh, stop it with the wish fulfillment.
Putin isn't about to arm wrestle with the Arab branch of Victor Charlie-- especially when he's already seven-eights of the way to the Embassy.
Russian support for its Syrian client state is now entering the "words not deeds or money" stage.
What did the dude say? If they tell us to go, we're ready.
Yeah, so what? That's their job.
It's Putin's job to say where they are going to go.
But not a peep from the Kremlin. It's a sign of increasing doom for Syria that the words of support are now coming from mid-level lackeys, not from the top men.
Syria client state? So you support ISIS to overthrow a decent man?
Sure, why not?
If Assad is presumed to be an agent of Light, then I'm for the dark.
The only difference between President-for-life Assad and the man he inherited his throne from is that his Dad was good at the job of ruthless dictator. Bashir is not nice, merely incompetent, and is about to pay the price for his doltishness.
My general opinion of world leaders is that they sold their souls long ago in order to obtain the drug of secular power that they crave. I do not doubt that Assad and the head of ISIS would share the same needle, if necessary.
In one regard, a swift ISIS victory is in everyone's favor (except Assad and his secret policemen). That's how the war will end sooner or later. The quicker it ends, the shorter will be the orgy of murder and retribution exacted by ISIS, as well as leading to a lessening in the continuing destruction of lives and physical infrastructure inherent in the waging of any war.
If Assad was the great benevolent leader you imagine him to be, he would offer himself up as a victim in return for sparing the people he supposedly loves as much pain and suffering as possible. Would ISIS rather put Assad on a video or Mustapha Six-Pack?
But don't kid yourself. He's going to fight to the last Syrian willing to die for him and then jet off to Russia with everything left that he hasn't stolen already.
your starved for attention postings most over the top stupid than ever
show you know little about these subject in real...but from media
better worry about your own country
Once again, tarabel embraces the MSM narrative.
Once again, the MSM narrative does not correspond with reality.

Prediction: tarabel will follow the well worn path of US citizenism and ignore reality. In US citizenism, a problem ignored is a problem solved.
Well, hi Stoogie.
Fancy seeing you pop up from nowhere on a topic of interest to Russia.
Let's review what I observed and you tell me where I'm imagining things.
1) Syria is a client state of Russia. Yes? No?
2) Syria is about to fall. Yes? No?
3) In response to a planted question from a Syrian journalist, the Russian general gallantly says that his men are ready to go to Syria if they were ever ordered to do so. Yes? No?
4) The Kremlin has not ordered his men to Syria. Yes? No?
5) The Kremlin is not crazy enough to play Vietnam in a war that is already 7/8ths lost. Yes? No?
Just tell me where any of this is incorrect. I'm happy to profit from your wisdom.
Prediction confirmed.
Elapsed time: 33 minutes.
I didn't bother to predict that you would avoid the challenge of actually stating where I am wrong, but then I don't bother predicting that the tide will come in and then later go out again.
It okay, I understand the parameters under which you are required to labor. Unlike you, I get to say whatever I want on this subject. Like this:
Vladimir Putin was a trained KGB agent, ergo he received specific instructions and hands-on training on how to suck dicks and take it up the ass in order to extract information from corrupt western officials. Little blue-eyed shrimp like him probably did quite well.
So many genitals in one comment, you apparently it really hurt. So less fapping on Putin, prevent you the blindness.
Me and Putin. Kissy, kissy.
You and your friends better start being nicer to me.
You cant fix the s
You cant fix the stupid. Its funny when idiots like you think our navy can destroy any nation . Lol. The ussa has navy for power projection like britannia had before them. Thats why others call you Muritards.
No country on earth is more sorely in need of {peaceful, "color"} regime change than Vichy Washington.
The ZOG is our misfortune.
Isreal has been under international scrutiny for the last year. Would not chance bombing of Syrian ports. Has Russia used the opportunity to stockpile necessary munitions for Russian troops on the ground, probably yes. Won't be long till we find out which way Erdogan swings.
Erdogan's kids work for ISIS> makes you wonder about him
Great timing.
