They Live, We Sleep: A Dictatorship Disguised As A Democracy

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by John Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,

“You see them on the street. You watch them on TV. You might even vote for one this fall. You think they’re people just like you. You're wrong. Dead wrong.”—They Live

We’re living in two worlds, you and I.

There’s the world we see (or are made to see) and then there’s the one we sense (and occasionally catch a glimpse of), the latter of which is a far cry from the propaganda-driven reality manufactured by the government and its corporate sponsors, including the media.

Indeed, what most Americans perceive as life in America—privileged, progressive and free—is a far cry from reality, where economic inequality is growing, real agendas and real power are buried beneath layers of Orwellian doublespeak and corporate obfuscation, and “freedom,” such that it is, is meted out in small, legalistic doses by militarized police armed to the teeth.

All is not as it seems.

This is the premise of John Carpenter’s film They Live (1988), in which two migrant workers discover that the world’s population is actually being controlled and exploited by aliens working in partnership with an oligarchic elite. All the while, the populace—blissfully unaware of the real agenda at work in their lives—has been lulled into complacency, indoctrinated into compliance, bombarded with media distractions, and hypnotized by subliminal messages beamed out of television and various electronic devices, billboards and the like.

It is only when homeless drifter John Nada (played to the hilt by the late Roddy Piper) discovers a pair of doctored sunglasses—Hoffman lenses—that Nada sees what lies beneath the elite’s fabricated reality: control and bondage.

When viewed through the lens of truth, the elite, who appear human until stripped of their disguises, are shown to be monsters who have enslaved the citizenry in order to prey on them. Likewise, billboards blare out hidden, authoritative messages: a bikini-clad woman in one ad is actually ordering viewers to “MARRY AND REPRODUCE.” Magazine racks scream “CONSUME” and “OBEY.” A wad of dollar bills in a vendor’s hand proclaims, “THIS IS YOUR GOD.”

When viewed through Nada’s Hoffman lenses, some of the other hidden messages being drummed into the people’s subconscious include: NO INDEPENDENT THOUGHT, CONFORM, SUBMIT, STAY ASLEEP, BUY, WATCH TV, NO IMAGINATION, and DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY.

This indoctrination campaign engineered by the elite in They Live is painfully familiar to anyone who has studied the decline of American culture. A citizenry that does not think for themselves, obeys without question, is submissive, does not challenge authority, does not think outside the box, and is content to sit back and be entertained is a citizenry that can be easily controlled.

In this way, the subtle message of They Live provides an apt analogy of our own distorted vision of life in the American police state, what philosopher Slavoj Žižek refers to as dictatorship in democracy, “the invisible order which sustains your apparent freedom.”

We’re being fed a series of carefully contrived fictions that bear no resemblance to reality. The powers-that-be want us to feel threatened by forces beyond our control (terrorists, shooters, bombers). They want us afraid and dependent on the government and its militarized armies for our safety and well-being. They want us distrustful of each other, divided by our prejudices, and at each other’s throats. Most of all, they want us to continue to march in lockstep with their dictates.

Tune out the government’s attempts to distract, divert and befuddle us and tune into what’s really going on in this country, and you’ll run headlong into an unmistakable, unpalatable truth: the moneyed elite who rule us view us as expendable resources to be used, abused and discarded.

In fact, a 2014 study conducted by Princeton and Northwestern University concluded that the U.S. government does not represent the majority of American citizens. Instead, the study found that the government is ruled by the rich and powerful, or the so-called “economic elite.” Moreover, the researchers concluded that policies enacted by this governmental elite nearly always favor special interests and lobbying groups.

In other words, we are being ruled by an oligarchy disguised as a democracy, and arguably on our way towards fascism—a form of government where private corporate interests rule, money calls the shots, and the people are seen as mere subjects to be controlled.

Consider this: it is estimated that the 2016 presidential election could cost as much as $5 billion, more than double what was spent getting Obama re-elected in 2012.

Not only do you have to be rich—or beholden to the rich—to get elected these days, but getting elected is also a surefire way to get rich. As CBS News reports, “Once in office, members of Congress enjoy access to connections and information they can use to increase their wealth, in ways that are unparalleled in the private sector. And once politicians leave office, their connections allow them to profit even further.”

In denouncing this blatant corruption of America’s political system, former president Jimmy Carter blasted the process of getting elected—to the White House, governor’s mansion, Congress or state legislatures—as “unlimited political bribery… a subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect, and sometimes get, favors for themselves after the election is over.”

Rest assured that when and if fascism finally takes hold in America, the basic forms of government will remain. As I point out in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, fascism will appear to be friendly. The legislators will be in session. There will be elections, and the news media will continue to cover the entertainment and political trivia. Consent of the governed, however, will no longer apply. Actual control will have finally passed to the oligarchic elite controlling the government behind the scenes.

By creating the illusion that it preserves democratic traditions, fascism creeps slowly until it consumes the political system. And in times of “crisis,” expediency is upheld as the central principle—that is, in order to keep us safe and secure, the government must militarize the police, strip us of basic constitutional rights, criminalize virtually every form of behavior, and build enough private prisons to house all of us nonviolent criminals.

Clearly, we are now ruled by an oligarchic elite of governmental and corporate interests. We have moved into “corporatism” (favored by Benito Mussolini), which is a halfway point on the road to full-blown fascism.

Vast sectors of the economy, government and politics are managed by private business concerns, otherwise referred to as “privatization” by various government politicians. Just study modern government policies. “Every industry is regulated. Every profession is classified and organized,” writes economic analyst Jeffrey Tucker. “Every good or service is taxed. Endless debt accumulation is preserved. Immense doesn’t begin to describe the bureaucracy. Military preparedness never stops, and war with some evil foreign foe, remains a daily prospect.”

In other words, the government in America today does whatever it wants.

Corporatism is where the few moneyed interests—not elected by the citizenry—rule over the many. In this way, it is not a democracy or a republican form of government, which is what the American government was established to be. It is a top-down form of government and one which has a terrifying history typified by the developments that occurred in totalitarian regimes of the past: police states where everyone is watched and spied on, rounded up for minor infractions by government agents, placed under police control, and placed in detention (a.k.a. concentration) camps.

For the final hammer of fascism to fall, it will require the most crucial ingredient: the majority of the people will have to agree that it’s not only expedient but necessary. But why would a people agree to such an oppressive regime? The answer is the same in every age: fear.

Fear makes people stupid.

Fear is the method most often used by politicians to increase the power of government. And, as most social commentators recognize, an atmosphere of fear permeates modern America: fear of terrorism, fear of the police, fear of our neighbors and so on.

The propaganda of fear has been used quite effectively by those who want to gain control, and it is working on the American populace.

Despite the fact that we are 17,600 times more likely to die from heart disease than from a terrorist attack; 11,000 times more likely to die from an airplane accident than from a terrorist plot involving an airplane; 1,048 times more likely to die from a car accident than a terrorist attack, and 8 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist, we have handed over control of our lives to government officials who treat us as a means to an end—the source of money and power.

We have allowed ourselves to become fearful, controlled, pacified zombies.

In this regard, we’re not so different from the oppressed citizens in They Live. Most everyone keeps their heads down these days while staring zombie-like into an electronic screen, even when they’re crossing the street. Families sit in restaurants with their heads down, separated by their screen devices and unaware of what’s going on around them. Young people especially seem dominated by the devices they hold in their hands, oblivious to the fact that they can simply push a button, turn the thing off and walk away.

Indeed, there is no larger group activity than that connected with those who watch screens—that is, television, lap tops, personal computers, cell phones and so on. In fact, a Nielsen study reports that American screen viewing is at an all-time high. For example, the average American watches approximately 151 hours of television per month.

The question, of course, is what effect does such screen consumption have on one’s mind?

Psychologically it is similar to drug addiction. Researchers found that “almost immediately after turning on the TV, subjects reported feeling more relaxed, and because this occurs so quickly and the tension returns so rapidly after the TV is turned off, people are conditioned to associate TV viewing with a lack of tension.” Research also shows that regardless of the programming, viewers’ brain waves slow down, thus transforming them into a more passive, nonresistant state.

Historically, television has been used by those in authority to quiet discontent and pacify disruptive people. “Faced with severe overcrowding and limited budgets for rehabilitation and counseling, more and more prison officials are using TV to keep inmates quiet,” according to Newsweek.

Given that the majority of what Americans watch on television is provided through channels controlled by six mega corporations, what we watch is now controlled by a corporate elite and, if that elite needs to foster a particular viewpoint or pacify its viewers, it can do so on a large scale.

If we’re watching, we’re not doing.

The powers-that-be understand this. As television journalist Edward R. Murrow warned in a 1958 speech:

We are currently wealthy, fat, comfortable and complacent. We have currently a built-in allergy to unpleasant or disturbing information. Our mass media reflect this. But unless we get up off our fat surpluses and recognize that television in the main is being used to distract, delude, amuse, and insulate us, then television and those who finance it, those who look at it, and those who work at it, may see a totally different picture too late.

This brings me back to They Live, in which the real zombies are not the aliens calling the shots but the populace who are content to remain controlled.

When all is said and done, the world of They Live is not so different from our own. As one of the characters points out, “The poor and the underclass are growing. Racial justice and human rights are nonexistent. They have created a repressive society and we are their unwitting accomplices. Their intention to rule rests with the annihilation of consciousness. We have been lulled into a trance. They have made us indifferent to ourselves, to others. We are focused only on our own gain.”

We, too, are focused only on our own pleasures, prejudices and gains. Our poor and underclasses are also growing. Racial injustice is growing. Human rights is nearly nonexistent. We too have been lulled into a trance, indifferent to others.

Oblivious to what lies ahead, we’ve been manipulated into believing that if we continue to consume, obey, and have faith, things will work out. But that’s never been true of emerging regimes. And by the time we feel the hammer coming down upon us, it will be too late.

Morpheus: I know *exactly* what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

I always found "They Live" to be an almost literal representation of the truth of this world, with the exception of the alien influence.

Humans do not require otherworldly provocateurs to begin treating each other viciously. In some ways, this makes reality more disturbing than fiction; In the case of aliens or demons, we could at least blame outside agencies as the root cause for us mutually mistreating one another. It seems more likely however we have none but ourselves to blame for the state of our world, with nothing to look to but our own shortcomings and short-sightedness.

Eirik thinks it's our fault..that is part of the programming..you know those evil red necks and racists just ruined it for all of us..LOL...like they have power or are in power in DC or Brussel's.

in the west we are all brainwashed into not seeing the real world..and Eirik is a perfect example of not seeing what is in front of his face..the invasion of EU from the MidEast and Africa and the world view of stone age people they bring with them.

Eirik needs to put on the special sun glasses..they are right here on ZH, but he cannot he is programmed not to.

Gotta pipe in on this one. Me thinks she doth protest to much. The art's author seems to be doing a tad bit of gate keeping, i.e. part of the agenda apparatus, either purposely, or cause it make him feel good, or, as many of our "trying to hide inner fears" neighbors, workmates  and acquaints, a victim of the sum of all that behavioral doctrine crap deep hypno embedded, and hard prothlesized with extreme prejudice, from teach's desk since K.

Like suggesting "the government" is not within the domain of the commons. Forget if the art referenced politicians as "leaders". They ain't - `cept for their staff.

We govern. Our proxies represent more than 99% of ownership.  Politicians couldn't afford their "find the quarter" quarters, goods wouldn't move, be sold, or be paid for, without "US", the commons, making it happen.

Old story. Dog walked with the neighbor. PHD Geology - has a nose for de gooey carbon that can't be beat. I ask a trick question, "Is the president a world leader?". Neighbors responds, "No, but he is my leader.!" Get the same catechism-ish response from righties and lefties in the hood.

Knowing my dog walk bud say something like that, the rant was ready to go.

I sez:

He ain't your leader, he's your employee. The only thing he leads is a staff. He's the commander and chief, by agreement and our authorizations. I point out to my hood-mate that at this very moment our dogs, who are sniffing around halfway down the bayou, are our leaders. We're following them, not because a rule somewhere says we must "follow our dog". We're following our dogs because our relationship with our dogs compels us to follow.

Jizt being defined as so don't make it so! IOW The diff tween a job description saying the person hired for that job is a commander and chief don't don't necessarily mean that person is a leader, or that he'll be followed by whatever a piece of paper sez he's commandeering and chiefing.

Government is word for an organizational chart. A dimensionless structure. Juz like corporate structures are defined in any Delaware LLC stamped incorporation papers.

Senators, congressmen, the guy who cleans the Yellowstone tourist potty, and even our imagined illustrious leader, are employees hired to service the role of their node in the organizations "structure".

Ya can't touch a government, ya can't smell a government, ya can't taste a government. Why? Because a government is an "idea".

However, one can "taste" a politician if they're hungry znuff, and food be short. One can smell a politician - juz ask Benito's ghost!

Look at the republic, instead, as an inverted pyramid, with the commons, that be you, me, most all of us, on top, and everything else below. The presidential node is the pointy bottom bit. If we just shift the center of balance by a "pentaquark",  it all come tumbling down.

Dat should answer the perinniel "who is in control" question. We are in control.

We are not governed, we, instead, "govern". (practice in front of mirror until you convince yourself - or just pretend, and soon or later the idea will become a 'truth" - it will be part of you).

The problem is way back when the Reg was tele prompting, the face jobs in the new media, like CNBC, came up with a new slave caste, "consumers". And they, and others worked that riff till the fret wore flat. But it worked. A lot of smart people really believe they're consumers.

In the scheme of stuff, ya got the so-called "consumers", and the so-called "producers". Ask yourself, who creates the wealth, who owns ever brick and mortar government asset from DC to the Rechawed County court house?

We do.

The government is a bunch of cost centers. It don't produce nothing. Therefore the government is a consumer. And the manufactures, well they're getting a subsidy from us, that ,so that sector is also a consumer. And don't get me started on the magical fractional reserve illusionists self anointed tug jobs claiming as "wealth creators".

Subsidies are of two forms: 1) pipes out from the IRS, that gush into private sector coffers, filled with token converted represenations of the stuff we produce and tithe into IRS intake sumps, and, or 2) Money printing that pushes the commons cost of living higher `n higher, but, OTH, also inflates equities, or Bankster Soveriegns, that can be converted to other commons sovereigns that have a more reliable assay.

And, one could say, given the rule of "eminent domain", that we, the commons, own, literally, every fucking thing on, in and above this rock, aka, the USA.

Message is to be wary of words that seem to assign dominion to any element of the chart that ain't us, aka the commons.

Be wary of words that suggest we are afraid of our employees. Be wary of words that suggest we fear.

And that's why I don't do two shows a night. I just won't!

without you thinking I want to defend that club called "the EU", since you talk about structures, democracy and this article is about propaganda...

note two little things:

- the EU is structured in a completely different way then the US, and even it's sovereign members are structured in a completely different way

nevertheless...

- English speakers are bombarded with the message that "the EU is a copy of the US", coupled with the sublimal "the US is so awesome that europe is copying it"

this does not mean we don't have elites (national ones, and by the way old ones, too) or propaganda (in several languages, and in some countries switched from socialist propaganda to the new brands)

this does not mean we have in any way a perfect, or even satisfactory system, by far

but nevertheless, you are fed a constant message: the EU ought, if it does not yet, to resemble every year more the US, because the US is just perfect, structurally

and interestingly even sources that try to seem critical of the US system... parrot this message. so it becomes: "The EU has the same purpose"

yes, the key is structures. no, our structures are different. break your indoctrination and study a bit the differences, and you might get a bit nearer the truth

then one thing where the current propaganda in the US puts a lot of emphasis is simple: don't question the structures

and this comment somehow just highlights what I am saying

first, the whole EU does not "use" the EUR

the EU is a club of 28 sovereigns. the 19-strong club of the EUR users is the eurozone, a different club

second, all currencies in europe were backed by the USD, after 1946. meaning that our national banks were stuffed with USDs, which were exchangeable for gold... until 1971

I repeat: we europeans had the right to exchange our currencies to USD or gold. you Americans... were not even allowed to hold gold, from 1934 to 1974

the EUR? is a response to the post-1971 USD, the "Nixon Shock". first in form of fixed exchange, then more formally

and the current currency war is a Chinese response to the US "privilege" of issuing the mighty fiat global reserve currency... the true enemy of gold

are we, in the Old World, subjected to a relentless propaganda against gold? no. are you Americans? yes

even some little details might or might not open your eyes:

does the FED own gold? no. since 1934, it's forbidden to own gold, only hold it for the Treasury

do the european national banks own gold? yes. does the ECB own gold? yes

progressives are cheap-labor hacks/drones of the elite. They help their elite get more cheap labor with their acceptance of elite anti-white multiculturalist propaganda.

the two terms are often used as polar opposites... in the US. for the simplest of reasons: the US Democratic and the US Republican party

a Republic can be democratic or not... in various degrees. a dictatorship can be a republic, too

the underlying message of your phrase is that it might be wise to temper democracy with constitutional restraints

Multiple levels of Government, probably multiple levels of banking since TBTF are in a class by themselves. Multiple Classes of Citizens, some voting, some criminal, some debtor class, some diplomatic class and government class, and some are super wealthy class who have the diplomatic or monarchy privileges.

Local Democracy has recently lost to dependence on National/Federal Government Funding to make budgets... and they lost to Wall Street Banks at some point and is on going.

Stratified Society? Classes based on wealth, earnings, education, privilege, parentage, background check, employer, membership in international associations?

Republic of dependencies?

Rule By Monarchies?

Corporatism?

Inverted Totalitarianism?

Capitalist Strategies will always involve creating monopolies, Racketeering, Dependence of Workers or Citizens, Influence of Government Officials, War for False Reasons, Suspension of Democracy or Civil Rights for Threats, Supplication of Citizens to Authorities for comfort and to dispel fear...

Perhaps this is all known 6,000 years ago in Sumeria. They had law and Contracts and Liability.

Money in the form of Gold held in houses and public buildings make it all possible to war, capture a city, take the wealth and gold...

Power, control, status, wealth, money... capitalism.

Back to the story at hand, even if Trump wins, one has to ask, what change can he possibly bring that will be beneficial to current or future generations? Do the endless wars end? Some of it is already being taught in college courses. There aren't any complete college text books of it yet but they are on their way. The final chapter of the books in the future will have photos of FED member heads stuck on the tops of poles posted outside the Eccles building and politicians hanging outside the White House. Time is the only thing seperating people from seeing such things today.

The hero will be some military generals that decided to take the most logical path of least resistence. So let it be written. So let it be done.

Communism disguised as a REPUBLIC, remember that.

Media was mentioned.  Let's take a look at who controls the idiot box or "Talmudvision:  https://thezog.wordpress.com/who-controls-television/

The original ten planks of the Communist Manifesto written by the JEW Karl Marx (real name Mordecai Levy) in 1848, along with the American adopted counterpart of each of the planks, The American people have truly been "buried in Communism" by their own politicians of both the Republican and Democratic parties. One other thing to remember, Karl Marx was stating in the Communist Manifesto that these planks will test whether a country has become commmunist or not. If they are all in effect and in force the country IS communist. Communism, but by any other name...??

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rent to public purpose.

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (1868), and various zoning, school & property taxes. Also the Bureau of Land Management.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

Misapplication of the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913, The Social Security Act of 1936.; Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933; and various State "income" taxes. We call it "paying your fair share".

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

We call it Federal & State estate Tax (1916); or reformed Probate Laws, and limited inheritance via arbitrary inheritance tax statutes.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

We call in government seizures, tax liens, Public "law" 99-570 (1986);

Executive order 11490, sections 1205, 2002 which gives private land to the Department of Urban Development; the imprisonment of "terrorists" and those who speak out or write against the "government" (1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill); or the IRS confiscation of property without due process.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

We call it the Federal Reserve which is a credit/debt system nationally organized by the Federal Reserve act of 1913. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.

We call it the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated through the ICC act of 1887, the Commissions Act of 1934, The Interstate Commerce Commission established in 1938, The Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, and Executive orders 11490, 10999, as well as State mandated driver's licenses and Department of Transportation regulations.

7. Extention of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Evironmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations.

8. Equal liablity of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

We call it the Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor. The National debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two "income" family. Woman in the workplace since the 1920's, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Fedral Public Works Program and of course Executive order 11000.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

We call it the Planning Reorganization act of 1949 , zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public "law" 89-136.

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. etc.

People are being taxed to support what we call 'public' schools, which train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education" . Add Common commie Core to this lis.

About a month ago a ZH'er posted a link to  "They Thought They Were Free: the germans 1933-45."  First published in 1955, then again in 1966;  the author died in 1986.  So there's no influence here from today's world in the United States.  Of course, I ordered a copy.

Spooky reading.  One point stands out right up front:  there are two countries within every country.  For ordinary lives of ordinary people, they have no idea what goes on elsewhere, and they really don't want to know, as long as they are not directly confronted with a different reality.  That's a good reason the masses seem asleep and able to be manipulated. ZH'ers are already outside that group simply by showing up here, no matter what their opinions.

It has always been this way. The masses will always be an easily controlled herd. But at the end of the day it's their choice and it's probably better that way. Some will choose to break free and walk their own path. Good for them. The mass of humanity does not seek freedom. They seek security and stability. Those who seek freedom have always done so at their own peril.

Newbies to sociology ought to look up the work done long prior to the full implementation of the "Nineteen Eight-Four system" that's been in full effect ever since 9/11/2001: e.g.

This is nothing new.  Maybe John Carpenter learned about it by reading Harry Barnes, which is how I found out.

Barnes was in all the newspapers in the early 1950s but he died in 1968.  And he's the only one I've ever seen in print saying that the intended title of George Orwell's last novel was to be Nineteen Forty-Eight.

The control of everything by veritable zombies is old news.  But it's all explainable with social theory ... if you can find the old books printed prior to our current Ministry of Truth as a peer-to-peer implementation guided by political correctness.

Many of  us have never been brainwashed so we see only one world, not the two of the article.  Apparently, John Whitehead had some kind of awakening, allowing him to see the world of manufactured group-think delusion as well as the world of "reality" unaffected by the social distortions primarily induced by mob fear, as he says.

Just a little bit arrogant - Many of us have never been brainwashed so we see only one world. Its probably a little more complicated than that. Consciouness is a danger to the status quo. The Buddha must be smiling.

Sounds like you're angry at the suggestion that you've been brainwashed without knowing it.  That's totally understandable given that you don't have a clue what I'm talking about and have never read Barnes.

You must be twenty or thirty years older than me.  I definitely was brainwashed without knowing it.  School, society, parents...though I was aware in the 80's that I'd never see a penny of social security, I was basically the average zombie ignoring what our government was, and is, doing.

Sadly, it took until 2008 to wake my ass up and I spent a solid year of research to figure out what the fuck was going on.  (As far as the last page of the internet...where fantasia rules...I had to know what was out there.  http://www.1112.net/lastpage.html)

Now, I'm not as brainwashed.  I still have ideals that I need to question, certainly, but I'm aware and educated now in a way I wasn't previously.  I know I couldn't sit on a Jury for anything other than murder, and even then I'd lean to acquit; I have so little trust in govenrment anymore.

Since you seem totally focused on Buddhism for some reason ...

consider the possibility that it's a common misnomer  to think that Buddhists say "Everything is Illusion."

I say that it's a deliberate mistranslation because eastern philisophy is much more easily understood if it's based on "Everything is DELUSION!"

This country was a plutocracy right from the beginning with maybe only a brief period of democracy under Andrew Jackson.

At the time of the vote to approve the Constitution, only 10% of the adult white males were entitled to vote on it.  Only landowners who were alreeady the local rulers were allowed to vote.  See Barnes 1926 History and Social Intelligence.

When you warn, “The powers-that-be want us to feel threatened by forces beyond our control (terrorists, shooters, bombers)”, you should add germs.

The Germ Theory of Disease has mislead and also stampeded the public into the arms of Big Government.  Even the author, Louis Pasteur admitted on his deathbed

that it wasn’t germs that determined whether you will contract a disease but rather the cleanliness of the body (he called terrain) that freed up the natural immune system to attack and destroy invading organisms.

The elite understand that domination of a population requires that their immune system must be overwhelmed by toxic metals and chemicals that form the basis for infectious

sites throughout the body continuously emitting caustic enzymes that inflame body tissue and cause a subtle fear and anxiety subconsciously.

This is the original capturing process that creates sheeple and drives them to government/oligarch controlled television

for distraction, comfort and security from this continuous caustic inflammatory enzyme flood from invading germ sites, into their blood streams.

We’ve completely lost sight of what natural health is.  Healthy people have a natural contempt for any coercive force over them like government.

Healthy people are highly competent, moral, compassionate, independent and resourceful and don’t like paying for “services” from anyone that they can do themselves.

In many ways the poisoning agenda of deliberately polluting and disabling the public with fluoride, vaccines, chemtrails and GMOs that overwhelm and disable the human immune

system and cause germ infections that result in anxiety, fear, fatigue and depression, explains even better the capture of the public through fear compared to external

false-flag attacks and propaganda.  It’s the internal attacks from toxic injury that enable the external fear campaign from false flag attacks and media propaganda to get any traction.

Our oligarch/government rulers are adamant that everyone gets the poison early and often with our infants starting with a health disabling vaccine at birth, even bottled water

containing fluoride that’s as toxic as lead and the continuous shower of chemicals from chemtrails and Roundup and Anthrax-like BT Toxin in GMO food.

While external false flag events stampede the public into the commonly perceived safe haven of the Establishment, the greater impetus behind this blind loyalty is the fear

everyone feels internally when these infectious sites, causing life-long diseases, emit inflammatory enzymes causing a pre-existing state of fear.

As Edward R Murrow says, “We have currently a built-in allergy to unpleasant or disturbing information.”  That’s because we are already disturbed, depressed and anxious from the

continuous internal inflammation from our toxic injury.  Most of the public is already subconsciously in overload with anxiety and depression and will not tolerate criticism of their

perceived savior and safe-haven Government.  The only symptom we see is a blind loyalty to the Establishment that when criticized, provokes anger, ostracism and immediate dismissal as “crazy” talk.

To better understand the Poisoning Agenda see Neurosurgeon Dr Russell Blaylock’s Vaccine & Fluoride expose video for a real wakeup.

When dealing with government, you must remember, they are the servants of the people.  THEY ARE SERVANTS!  Make them act like servants.  You have to learn law though, because the lawyers are either incompetent, indoctrinated, or just down right evil.  Either way, they will not help you, so you must learn to help yourself.  Government always has fatal flaws when they come against you, you need to learn to spot them and stop them.  If you don't, you will be left without.

This is the wrong way of looking at the situation.

Democracy has delivered us down this vile path. The American people voted these people in power, and have clamored at every turn for welfare legislature and other acts of rent-seeking. The mob demands goods free-of-charge and access to easy credit.

The western world has willingly accepted governmental paternalism and technology has made us absolutley complacent. We took the shackles of debt/media serfdom and put them on WILLINGLY! We shouldn't be surprised when the master pulls on the chains.
