Tyler Durden's picture

Disney is down over 8% from post-earnings highs for its biggest drop sicne at least Oct 2014 and back at 2-month lows... The Happiest Place On Earth... isn't...

Disney is a disgusting company.  Spewing mindless and violent filth and propaganda like the rest of Hollywood.  They pay their employees at their resort hotels like $9 to 10 a hour to kiss ass of the retards who stay there.  Creepy company but even during Walt it was not so clean.  Walt was buddies with Von Braun and MIC to push the NASA scam.  As more and more lies, false flags and other corrupt crap is exposed - I doubt NASA did much of anything except line the pockets of defense contractors.

Did Disneyland in late May...your formula is incorrect...place was packed to the gills and I was there on a Tuesday and Thursday before most of the nations schools let out for summer.

It's the "Happiest Place on Earth" for about the first 2 hours after opening...then it's just another WAY OVERCROWDED amusement park...hours lines for everything...it's absolute hell...I plan to never go again.

We went on a personal no Disneyland strike when they PC'd the Pirates of the Caribbean. No dears, the Pirates are not chasing the beautiful damsels for food and I suggest if pirates come to call at our house you don't offer them a plate of good cooking to satisfy them.

Typical reaction to an amusement park, yet they are always over crowded year round. Heaven forbid you want to go in the winter to avoid the heat, when the whole continent decides to seek refuge here.

They should raise the price of admission to where over crowding is no longer an issue,  but how would the inflationist hawk feel once little Johnny can't meet Mickey because he got priced out?

What's ironic is that same inflationist hawk would argue that those who cannot afford a ticket today can rightly fuck themselves as they have no business buying tickets they can't afford.

What to do...

Maybe some Americans are getting hip and they are pulling the plug on vile Hollywood, Disney's theme parsk, hotels and cruise ships.

Disney and Hollywood are 110% behind Obola and his puppet master destroying America.  Hollywood libs decry violence but almost every movie has a gun in it.  They love simulating the most disgusting, vile and endless violence and destruction.

The comie book crap is their newest spin on violence or Spielberg's violent movies with dinosaurs eating people or sharks.  Any blood and gore they spew out plus Big State endless police state propaganda is good for the big   $$$$$$$$$.

We took one look at the slimy PC crap on the Disney Channel and pulled the plug for our kids. We allowed TV land because hey, Gilligans Island, I love Lucy and , the Carol Burnett Show, and Star Trek didn't rot our brains they may grow up unscathed by TV.

We watched Twilight Zone as a family often. That show brought out a lot of provocative discussion. One of the few shows where there wasn't the ubiquitous happy ending they were so used to.

Ike was the one who had the guts to warn us about MIC.  Ike should have sat down with JFK and really warned him about MIC and that evil snake f**k LBJ.

She must have made a fortune off DesiLu productions which I think also owned or produced Star Trek.  Her kids seemed to turn out okay so maybe she was a decent parent.

Just raise prices...people will pay, with what money; I have no idea.

Common trend lately.  I've been seeing local restaurants and Diners in New York jacking prices up and then the owners get all confused when volume drops.

Restaurants were booming the past two years because it was cheaper to order out than to buy at the market and prepare at home.  Not anymore.

Expect huge problesm with the Food/Hospitality industry.

To quote a patron, I overheard "You want how much for a plate of cheese fries and gravy, Motherf@@ker"

+1

I recently was in a smaller town area and ended up stopping at one of those all you can eat places that is a chain.  The buffett was about $11.99 plus $2.29 for a drink.  They had these poor ladies who take the plates away.  I felt sorry for them so left $2.00.  The food was pretty crappy. The salad bar was okay. So i end up paying about $18 for this "dinner."

It is a mid America type place.  What an overpriced sh*thole.  My local Italian restaurant has an early bird dinner for about $10.50 and it is very good.  Includes ice tea or coffee.

Food inflation must be killing restaurants.   EBT/WIC cards are not helping especially for people like most of us who actually pays for our food.

Current ticket costs for Disney World are about $100/day. (Link: disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets). Not only are ticket prices astronomical, but families have to spend additional money on transportation, food and lodging. We are witnessing the result of decades of tax cuts for the wealthy, financial deregulation (repeal of Glass-Steagall Act; passage of Commodities Futures Modernization Act of 2000), union busting,  job out-sourcing (NAFTA), more tax cuts for the wealthy (Bush II), followed by taxpayer funded multi $ trillion wars in ME and multi $ trillion Wall St bank bailouts. These policies were formulated by large corporations and congress to increase corporate profits and cut wages for working people. The end result has been the largest financial disaster since the Great Depression and may well end up being worse. Disney is seeing first-hand the results of these policies in action.

Obviously the economy cannot grow unless working people have more disposable income (increase in wages). Exactly the opposite has taken place over the last decade. >90% of “new” jobs in the US are “temp” positions- read minimum wage, no benefits and zero job security. How are workers at Walmart, McDonalds, Burger town, Target, etc. going to afford going to Disney World, when they cannot cover food and rent? As an earlier ZH post pointed out, you can manipulate earnings, but you cannot invent sales revenue.

Disney World, Disney Land and many retailers like Target, Dillards, Sears and a lot of others are based on a middle class that no longer exists.  They want more illegals because many illegals and even "legal" Chinese and Indians are experts in avoiding paying taxes and working the cash economy.

Mexicans at Wal Mart with WIC/EBT cards buying food and pulling out big rolls of cash for the non-free stuff.

Big business wants more illegals for slave labor and because Mexicans shop at Sears.  Nobody else does anymore.
