Even the Department of Homeland Security Says the CISA “Cybersecurity” Bill Will HURT Security and Destroy Privacy

George Washington's picture

Even Homeland Security says that CISA – the faux “cybersecurity” bill which may be rammed through the Senate any day without any debate – will harm America’s security and destroy privacy.

DHS Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told the Senate Monday:

  • The bill “raises privacy and civil liberties concerns and would complicate efforts to establish an automatic sharing regime”
  • “This will limit the ability of DHS to connect the dots and proactively recognize emerging risks and help private and public organizations implement effective mitigations to reduce the likelihood of damaging incidents”
  • CISA “could sweep away important privacy protections”
  • The bill’s “expansive definitions of cyber threat indicators” would also permit companies to share data unrelated to cyber threats

And see this. Numerous experts agree

And - just like with the NSA spying laws - the government has a secret interpretation of CISA which will make it even worse.

Other than that, the bill is great. </sarc>

Basically the guy is straight up saying it stinks on ice. Raises privacy concerns my ass. They are so far beyond privacy.

Its so nasty they cant even share it with other parts of the Big brotherhood.  Thats kind of telling.

I guess not as many that thought they was are special after all. But dont worry about not being in the loop. Ya still got that sweet pension. Right?

What Homeland fears is that the sheeple will know everything online is being recorded and monitored. What is desired is that the sheeple believe things are not monitored and therefore use the internet with a false sense of security.

The great danger is not the real plots revealed, but rather the ability of government to plant false evidence. This was the M.O. of Stalin's Show Trials. http://www.trotsky.net/trotsky_year/moscow_trials.html

While I understand that it may not be an option for everyone here, I also know that ZH is a bit more technical that most other non-mainstream media sites and therefore attracts many people that (like me) have the financial means to relocate to ¨higher ground¨. I see the USA degenerating at an alarming speed - out of control Financial and Political corruption, ever harsher Police State tendencies and a Generalized loss of Freedom and Liberty everywhere you look. I can understand that the sleeping sheeple go on with business (football, dancing with the stars, etc...) as usual, but I have a hard time understanding how so many of you that are awake and see what´s happening continue to reside in the Land of the Free if you indeed have the option to leave. I dont know if its normalcy bias or simply a mistaken belief that there is no better place on Earth, but I realy think that you are all playing with fire. Most here agree that the system is failing, if this is so then many will also agree that as Gerald Celente says - When all else fails they take us to war... - IMO, if that happens the US is likely to be Ground Zero. But even if we manage to stay out of a limited nuclear exchange, there is no getting around the fact that the economy is on borrowed time and that when it goes the government dependent masses (EBT crowd included) will reak havoc as they starve. At the very least those that can need to be far away from any major metropolitan area, for those that cant (or wont) make the move now, all I can say is have an escape plan and best of luck (you´re gonna need it). Personally, I am not taking any chances - I¨ve taken all my loved ones (that would come) and moved down to the Southern Hemisphere along with a sizable portion of my physical PM´s. Its amazing how much more happy and relaxed we are, the quality of life here is incredible - I highly encourage all of you that can to do the same soon because I believe that friendships and contacts will be vital, especially after the great reset... Something scary this way comes, and it feels to me like its right around the corner. Most of you know that it´s just a question of time - since it could happen anyday, better a year or two early than an hour too late.

Go where, pilgrim ? You prefer to be a stranger in a strange land, surrounded by no friends, comrades, family... ? Where on Earth is "safe" if the USA goes ? How about you grab your balls and make a stand rather than turn tail and run, huh fella ?

Skipjack - It's an individual choice which I don't condemn. My higher ground is up north in a more remote location but also because I wish to live there .
People that live on lakes are friendly and happy too. Guess I am just going with the devil I know.

No guarantees South America or anwhere else is safe if world war breaks out. The last reason is some of us will hedge to help a small community here to rebuild be it from ashes or currency crisis.

If one had PM's, what would be the best way to relocate with them?

Back when I did it (in 2004) a company called VIAMAT took care of everything, I know that recently they´ve been taken over by Loomis International - but I´m not sure how simple or cost effective they are (all VIAMAT shipped for me was my Gold, which value wise was by far the main part of my horde).  As far as silver goes, depending on how large your stack is (I only had 6 monster boxes back then), you may be able to transport it yourself in several trips. If you travel with less than $10k per adult in AG or AU (it´s questionable if that´s face value or actual value) plus any cash in your posession then you dont even have to declare it.  In my case, my wife, my then 18 year old son and myself each took 2 monster boxes (less than $7k back then) in our carry on luggage (back then the airlines did not weigh carry-ons, not all do now...) - obviously we needed very sturdy carry-on luggage and it was a struggle to get it in the overhead bins.  Today it would have taken us two trips since each monster box is worth around $7500.  In any case you need to find out what the laws are on importing buillon at your detination country. Unless you believe the colapse is imminent, the best choice might be to sell what you have now and re-buy it at your destination - if you do that then I´d recommend doing it by part, maybe 10% at a time.
