Apocalyptic Footage From Tianjin Explosion Captured By Drone

Tyler Durden's picture

With at least 50 dead and over 700 injured, it is no exaggeration to say that the massive explosion in the Chinese port of Tianjin is a total disaster. As the following stunning drone's eye views show heavily damaged homes, huge plumes of smoke, and completely burned-out cars cover this post-apocalyptic scene.

Day time secnes of disaster:

 Night-time apocalypse.

 Over the warehouses.

For map geeks, the facility is [was] here on Google map satellite image. The road map overlay is way off, so ignore the imaginary roads.

The long blue and red rectangles are not buildings - they're new shipping containers stacked 6 or 8 high. The two light-blue-roofed buildings to the South were completely obliterated. The map point is approximately where the crater is located. Nothing there in the satellite picture [zoom way in] except some irregular dots - probably pallets of something. The satellite image is probably years old, however.

total bullshit.  95+% of all black deaths in the US are courtesy of other blacks, but this statistic does not follow the made for TV race baiting meme or the cops against blacks meme, so you don't hear about it.   These race riots and lootings in certain towns happen as if they are made for TV to further some agenda and are committed by a tiny criminal dirt bag element that gets covered by the MSM and broadcast in a specific context.

...but if that black-on-black crime and the general degradation of black culture in Amerika were solely the result of drug prohibition, the product run and sold by the Feds and city cops alike, that might make gang violence a product of social conditioning and "legal" malfeasance, would it not?

Do you blame the Chinese or the British for the Boxer Rebellion? Race-baiting abounds these days, absolutely, but this ain't that. Just history, an ignorance of which begets more race-baiting.

you are correct JRev, many white people do not want to come to terms that the plan for us is the one they have implemented for the blacks and we have much more in common than they think.  Indian Reservations and Inner City ghettos/projects is where we all mostly be in the very near future if those in charge have their way.

Newsflash! I have family in China! I actually partially agree with you.

China has machine guns in view at the police station and you cannot march around and say the Prime Minsiter sucks, but you can get things done much quicker. In fact, I posited to my friends here in the "free" USA that on a daily basis the average Chinese is less encumbered by government than the U.S. citizen. Chinese tend to flaunt most rules or you can bribe the right people or get favors and get left alone. There is not the extensive complex registering, permitting, certifying, documenting, taxing, filing, etc. systems we have tolerated here. Even if it is there on paper there is usually a way to end run it.

America is still number one by any measure, but then so was Sears, GM and the Mongol Empire. Things change.

You're really just an attention whoring troll at this point.

Who did that Ikea knife murder of two random white people in Sweden this week btw?  Oh, a poor dindunuffin asylum seeking "refugee" from Africa.  The massive plague of violent crime by blacks is only just beginning to be felt in Europe.  It's easy to pretend blacks are people when you've never lived around them and you watch TV like a moron and believe anything portrayed there is reality.

"Blacks are all highly educated, suave gentlemen, I saw it on TV.  It's just those racist whites in America persecuting them."

If you love American blacks so much why don't you start a resettlement program in Sweden for them?  It typically works out swell when black men come to Sweden: http://www.wvwnews.net/content/index.php?/news_story/who_was_ellen_krant...

"While living in Virginia, USA, Ephrem Tadele Yohannes was sentenced to 13 months and 11 days in prison for drunk driving, hit and run and provision of false testimonies. He whined that he’s being mistreated in the USA because he’s black and was granted refugee status in multiculturalism embracing Sweden. To thank Sweden for what she’d done for him, he raped and murdered one of her natives."

You're garbage and trust me, people know how to take out the trash.

Solution:  Load it on some ships, dump in the South China Sea.

Benefit:  More islands/landing strips.

That's exactly what popped into my head while I watched video of this stuff this morning.

People are running in circles trying to find their dad/mom/etc without any support, not a single cop/firefighter/paramedic/soldier anywhere. Expect this to disappear from the media loop shortly.

If this was in the US they'd be raising the flag over the rubble and chasing a million conspiracies. Thousands of lawsuits from emotional trauma to lung cancer would be filed. A likely offender would be identified and attacked.

Totally different cultures.

The death toll will be in the thousands, it appears:

The death toll is expected to increase exponentially as poorly constructed dormitories close to the port, that accommodate dock workers, are searched in the morning. One building housing 2,000 migrant workers reportedly collapsed.

Photos of the scene published with daylight reveal utter destruction. Most of the labourers are so-called “migrant workers” from outside the city who are denied the rights of residential status, such as housing subsidies, education and health care.

Available information indicates that the blasts took place in the warehouse of Rui Hai International Logistics, a company licensed to ship “hazardous” material through Tianjin’s sprawling port. What material detonated has not been confirmed by Chinese authorities, though witnesses reported that there were not chemical fumes in the air, suggesting it may have been stores of explosives.

You (generally) have to recover a body before officially counting it.  I think the fire crews had other priorities last night and this morning, other than their own buddies, and anyone still showing signs of life that needed immediate evacuation.  Sifting through the rubble is a job that is best left until the fire is extinguished, and since the job requires specialized hydraulic tools and lots of wood blocking and shoring (which fire departments worldwide spend millions of dollars every year hauling around on their trucks), unless one simply presumes there are no survivors and goes the massive heavy excavator route... there isn't anyone to do proper S&R until the fire is extinguished.

At the 41 second mark in the second drone video, you can see the different colors of at least four different major fires. The blue/white one looks like it could be magnesium and the white/green one some kind of copper compound. The other two look like secondary fires; not near as hot.

That was one hot burning fire!  Two planes worth of jet fuel are nothing compared to this massive explosion and fire (which admittedly was likely to contain explosives) yet notice that steel structures didn't neatly vaporize into their shadows, probably wont have molten steel running like a foundry underneath any buildings for days after the explosion either.

Aluminum melts at around 1218F (and it melts quick, some alloys will melt at lower temp), steel around 2500F (sustained!), most structural steel around 2750F.  To my knowledge jet fuel burns around 1700F and it burns off very quickly.  If there is melted aluminum then this was a damn hot fire at least briefly.  Curious to find out what went up.

I just saw another debate where an engineer went on and on in Bernanke style speak about the weakening of steel below it's melting point... yadda yadda.  Weakened steel might bend but sure as hell will not vaporize and then there was building 7.  Good gawd how dumb to these assholes think we are?  Luckily there are thousands of scientists, engineers etc combating this lunacy.

I would like to see one of these guys do a model on how passports survived an explosion and heat that supposedly melted structural steel.  Would be good for a laugh anyway. Maybe a dust devil came by, alien intervention, or a supercooled chunk of star shit fell from the sky and enveloped the passports allowing them to fall to the ground undamaged, being that they were glowing blue they were easily found in the incredible amount of wreckage.

Explain building 7, I can't wait to hear it.

I actually have used demolitions. I also have an engineering degree although it is not what I currently do.. I also went to the WTC buildings on an engineering field trip  many many years ago to study their structure.

I do not have an explanation of building 7. I do not want to waste the time. This is the trap of the conspiracy theorist. The theorist need only find difficult to explain apparent anomalies. You present and endless list including why guys whose names end in "Stein" were not there in their average numbers on this particular day. Then, anyone who is skeptical of your skepticsim gets trapped into having to explain the negative and why sometihing did or did not happen.

I cannot tell you why a passport or credit card was found next to something that had been heated. I can postulate but not answer. It is an impossible task.

However, I buy the general explanation and I do understand that buildings fall into their own footprints and so on and so on. They do and if you understand compressional forces, vectors, mass and so on it should make sense to you unless your training is more just welding when you say "metals". It is almost impossible for a building of that size to fall over. It would actually take controlled demolitions to do that. They do not have the rigidity to fall as an entire unit and something as small as a jet will not knock them over. Look at photos of WWII, bombings, fires, etc. Virtually every building falls in it's own shadwo minus some blast. They essentially collapse, they do not "fall".

I do not stand alone and these are not just my arguments I made up for grins and giggles here in ZH.

The real question is for you truthers. If you really truly believe that our own government killed our own people in this way you should be advocating revolution. You should actively be working on it as this would be over the top.

I think you just like the stimulation of being in-the-know or semi-secret knowledge.

I'm convinced now that the majority has no interest in knowing and will do everything possible to not know.  I work with otherwise intelligent people who cringe even having a discussion of why not one person was held accountable...and then how that would seem to incentivize allowing it to happen again since the people who failed in their jobs of "defending the nation" (LMAO...but I'm baiting them of course, I of course have no delusions that's their jobs) got bonuses, promotions and rewarded with more funding and a whole new giant agency (DHS)?  It's scary to them.  They are like little children.  If even that is understood it crushes their identities and all their fairy tale dreams of the world and of "the US".  They just want to keep getting free shit until they can die before it all comes crashing down.

There are so many contradictions with it all it's plain silly...like I suspect you do too, I feel like I'm patronizing people having to even mention a nice passport being found or a building collapsing that doesn't get by a plane.  It's too simple for people not to understand, they are choosing not to want to know.  I also love it when I get the tired canard..."the simplest answer is always the most likely" they say.  Oh really...tell me how the official story is so "simple again"?  It actually sounds like it would take incredible skill and luck to pull off given the trillions of dollars spent on national security in the US over the last 50 years.  GRRRRR  It wasn't even a well done cover up...it's not about simplicity at all.

libertysghost great post TY.  I noticed too that people were really scared and didn't want to think about "things" so I made a point of rarely talking about these things with my friends and family.  Even though I made this effort to not talk about things I had the sense that my old friends and most of my family started to see me as a weirdo, became uncomfortable around me and distanced themselves from me.  I hardly ever see them or speak to them any longer, thankfully I have my wife, her mother, my daughter and an Aunt who respect, love and care for me and even a friend of my mother's but that is about it (and I feel a part of the ZH community and am here most days reading the articles and comments).

It breaks my heart and I don't pretend to understand why it has to be this way but I am really the last few months as my daughter grows and nears her second birthday have just started to accept this reality more and more.

Its the attitudes of those around me and how they revel in the mainstream culture and with an almost angered aggression turn against anybody else who simply ignores the mainstream narrative that convinces me we are in societal collapse.  Roman Empire style and we are close to the end.

A couple things on this conspiracy theory. First you may want to research forging and metallurgy techniques. Anyone who uses knives or axes knows not to heat the steel as it can destroy the temper. If you've ever forged steel you will know that hitting once it cools can cause the steel to snap.

Obviously structural steel is a bit different, as it is a mild steel with lower carbon alloy than tool steel. However, the process is the same. Keep in mind that this is a building so wind was much greater than street level. Early forging techniques were often done on hilltops to get coals glowing before the invention of bellows. Now what happens when steel is forged? That is the important question. Heat of jet fuel for melting steel is irrelevant as that is a casting question. What matters is that in heating steel you begin to anneal it, and the hotter it gets the softer the steel becomes. Wind combined with jet fuel, computers, endless amounts of paper, carpeting, and other sources of fuel could have easily led to glowing coals - and therefore glowing steel.  An important point, how do you quench steel? In oils, water, brine, etc. Certain quenches are required for certain steel types, and if the wrong quench is used, or used for the wrong amount of time, the steel will be improperly tempered/hardened. Further, the steel can lose its quality and structural potential. We know that fuel would have been burning and potentially leaking onto the steel. But most likely it was water, and if water was continuously cooling the steel then it was creating a disastrous condition for the steel.  The official narrative on how the towers collapsed is probably correct. (Keep in mind that I do believe that this was conducted by some government agency, likely a CIA/Mossad joint operation with their terra cells.) Even Building 7 could have fallen due to fire spreading in the foundation combined with the structural damage caused to the foundation after the other buildings fell. The problem here is that conspiracy theorists often look for this whole picture, a single theory which explains it all and how every piece of evidence is a fact leading to the Truth which will finally awaken the masses. But that is not how it works. Truth does not rely upon all facts pointing to it, sometimes truth is irrational, a mystery. Beyond that, people do not care about truth. Much of what wikileaks has released about the world is what many of us already knew, and in some way the 'damning proof' has lessened the meaning behind criticisms of the state, economy, culture, etc. Often we look for these simplistic interpretations with easy solutions because we do not want to face the true horror of what happened. There simply is no link between the found passports and the steel failure. The likelihood that they planted passports or just reenacted the evidence does not mean that the steel did not fail. Lying about one thing, even the biggest thing, does not suggest lying about everything. If they lied about everything they likely would have been found out sooner. It is always better to mix truth with lies for these manipulative psychos. I may get junked but it doesn't really matter. I think they did think this out clearly. For all we know they may have packed those jets full of charcoal to increase the chances of steel failure, they may have combined the jets hitting with explosive charges in the foundation (unlikely anyone would notice), or they may have just gotten a larger disaster than they planned, the towers collapsed even though that wasn't in their plan (I think it was). What is the reasoning for this? If they wanted to completely change the world and start a slow World War 3 then it was best to cause a spectacular event which could not be outdone. This fits in with their plans to try and make revolution impossible, as who could outdo such an act? In their thinking if they could themselves perform the most fundamentalist and radical act then no one could ever top them. I think this says a lot more about the evil practises those in charge believe in, and suggests how deep we are into the pits of hell. (And I'm not saying you're wrong, just arguing against the logic that the official narrative is always wrong, and the automatic reaction that the steel could not have failed. I think it's almost certain the official narrative is correct on the collapse cause itself, and I think it's important to remember that the Big Lie is often a careful manipulation of truth.)

Also, didn't junk you. I only junk if someone says something stupid/destructive.

A voice of reason. Well done. I am not an expert but I actually do have training long ago in structural engineering. My college projects were to design bridges and even buidlings using usually steel but sometimes even wood. So, I at least have some judgement in these things all the way down to all important fasteners which include welds, rivets and bolts. All of which can also fail.

I actually toured the WTC buildings long ago and you could see the steel frames near the roof. You could also see the fireproofing on the beams and all connections. There is a reason they fireproof it. Yes, there is!

It is because an actual fire can heat and weaken the entire structure. You don't need to melt it, you just need to weaken it enough. Combined with the physical damage a jet airliners, fuel explosions and essentially kinetic damage it is very reasonable that they might collapse. There is an enormous mass above the damage points plus any vectors from wind (sway) although it was pretty calm that day.

I think it comes down to what a person wants to believe. If you like conspiracy theories you can find enough to satisfy you. If you do not care for them, then the official explanation will suffice...along with basic structural engineering.

Jet Fuel burned lean in a jet engine, otherwise it can get upward of 2500-2700 degrees F depending on the pressure.  I've seen 2500F EGT on an TSIO520 that should be run at 1750F when going lean at 65% power.  Got to watch those things, engines can only take a few seconds at those temps to go wrong. JP4 can burn hotter than 100LL.

This incident will be investigated by China for a long time.  No doubt, there will also be many conspiracy theories - both inside China and in the rest of the world.  But the most likely cause is some type of accident that started the fire - posssibly at a gas station, plus TOO MANY highly combustible items in the nearby chemical factory.  There is sill no specific info on the materials that actually detonated.

The drone photos appear to show two or three separate sites that are burning. How did separate explosions & fires occur?  Good question.
