For me it's not just ZH any more. No problems on my laptop (Firefox+Adblock) but used to have unreadable ZH on my phone - ads covering 95% of the screen that I couldn't get rid of. Disabled JavaScript and now I can read ZH on my phone again but now I can't watch videos. Some other website (can't remember which one) had the menu covering 95% of the screen so I couldn't read the main article. Miracles of modern technology! It must be soooooo hard to shuffle around a bit of text, pics and AV. Maybe in another couple of centuries we'll have all the problems sorted out. Funny thing is, this shit used to work! WTF changed?
Adblock doesn't seem to work on these new pop ups on my old S3. It's popping up play store apps. If I can get back to the site without closing the play store window it stops.

have you tried downloading more filter lists? i'm using an old linux quad core pc and don't know what an s3 is. what does it use for a browser? have you tried adding noscript and ghostery and maybe even flashblock? between those four, it should kill everything. I only use Palemoon browser and their modified version of adblock and it kills everything. One thing about adblock, you have to untick the "allow some ads" box or some stuff may get through.
