Air Farce 1: Trump's 757 En Route To Iowa

Tyler Durden's picture

"This is exactly what fairgoers want, to meet Donald Trump. That is what they’ll get."

That’s a quote from Chuck Laudner, Trump’s Iowa campaign strategist who spoke to The Hill about the brazen billionaire’s planned visit to the Iowa State Fair on Saturday.

The popular event (which draws crowds of over 100,000 on sunny weekend days) will feature soapbox speeches from all major candidates except Trump, Rand Paul, and Hillary Clinton, who will nevertheless make an appearance with retired Iowa Senator Tom Harkin.

The reason they’ll be no stump from Trump (so to speak) is that the GOP frontrunner is feuding with the Des Moines Register, which sponsors the Presidential Soapbox. Back in July, the Register advised Trump to "pull the plug on his bloviating side show." As you can imagine, that did not go over well.

"The Des Moines Register doesn’t even think he should be a candidate, why should he step on their stage,"Laudner asked.

But make no mistake, Trump really doesn’t need the Des Moines Register to provide him with a stage because he will effectively make the entire site a stage when he lands in the middle of the fair in a private helicopter on Saturday. Here’s The Hill:

Trump will touch down in Des Moines in his private helicopter, the latest grand gesture by the real estate magnate who has been climbing the polls across the nation and in the Hawkeye State. Two new polls from Suffolk University and CNN/ORC have him at the top of the crowded GOP field in Iowa, knocking Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker out of the top spot.

Chuck Laudner, Trump’s Iowa strategist, told The Hill the plan is to hold a press conference after the chopper lands to quell the media frenzy and then let Trump walk around the fairgrounds.

“He’s not doing any standalone events, he’ll just be at the fair wading into the crowds. He wants to be with people and we are in no hurry,” he said, noting that staff will stay for the remaining eight days of the fair to meet with potential supporters.

Initially, Trump had planned to give children free rides in the chopper, but that idea was nixed by fair officials. Undeterred, Trump secured access to a nearby parking lot where kids of all ages will get to fulfill their lifelong dream of flying over Iowa in a 12-seat Sikorsky. Here's CNN:

he Iowa State Fair won't allow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to give kids free rides on his helicopter on fairgrounds, but the real estate developer has secured a nearby location.

The helicopter will take off from a parking lot outside the fair in Des Moines, campaign state chairman Chuck Laudner told CNN on Friday, adding that Trump may hop on a few rides as well.

CNN previously reported that the Sikorsky is one of three that he owns, seats 12 people comfortably, including the pilot.

Trump will arrive in the $7 million helicopter before holding a press event. Despite Trump's previous public announcement, his campaign expressed safety concerns about the event becoming so well attended that landing the aircraft could be a challenge.

The helicopter has already arrived in the area. It took three refueling stops to get it here and flew at an altitude of 2400 feet across the county, according to a source familiar with the travel plans.

Trump, however, did not take the helicopter to Iowa. Instead, he'll be flying Trump Air via a recently-purchased 757, which was scheduled to depart LaGuardia Saturday morning at 8:58 and should land in Iowa at around 10 local time.

The jet is a "perfect fit" for a national campaign NYC Aviation says, adding that "this particular aircraft was formerly owned by fellow billionaire Paul Allen, the Microsoft co-founder and aviation buff extraordinaire. It already had a VIP interior, though it is likely that Trump would have had it gutted and customized to his specs no matter how nice it might have been."

And for those wondering what it looks like when Trump touches down, we'll leave you with the following enduring image:

The press heard about it and was all abuzz about his woman hating ways again on Fox news.

"What's with the lesbian jokes, this is politcally incorrect and unacceptable."

When asked about the comment later, Trump was reported to reply "I meant she was going to prison, sheesh, only a pervert would read that any other way."

In early Jan 2015, Trump sued for $100M - isn't that what he does - Palm Beach County Florida over the air traffice that files in-out of Palm Beach International Airport because his Palm Beach digs - Mar-A-Lago - is directly east of the airport in in the direct flight path.  Of course his old, and now new 757, travers the evil flight path, but of course that is just an irrelevant detail.

I dunno if the suit is still active or not.

Donald Trump Makes Ukraine State 'Enemy List' For Pro-Russia Remarks

http://www.ibtimes.com/donald-trump-makes-ukraine-state-enemy-list-pro-r...

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump apparently has enemies beyond the debate stage or corporate boardrooms. A Ukrainian website on Thursday named the real estate mogul on a comprehensive list of the country's alleged enemies.

The "enemy list" quickly garnered widespread media attention in Ukraine, but was taken down soon after being published, Russian state news agency Sputnik News reported. However, archive website Wayback Machine was able to catalog the list, which also named former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and "Under Siege" actor Steven Seagal among the country's supposed enemies.

Those on the list were arranged in categories, including "enemies," "traitors," "separatists" and "agents of the Kremlin Worldwide." All of the names were ranked on a 10-point "threat level" rating system. Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine last year and has reportedly backed pro-Russian rebels who are fighting Ukrainian government troops.

Trump was ranked No. 9 on the list and named a "Kremlin agent" by the site, which means he is considered a supporter of Russia in international affairs. In June, Trump told Fox's Bill O' Reilly about how, if elected to the White House, he would work well with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The real estate mogul said Putin, "has no respect for our president [Barack Obama] whatsoever. He’s got a tremendous popularity in Russia, they love what he’s doing, they love what he represents. I was over in Moscow two years ago and I will tell you: You can get along with those people and get along with them well. You can make deals with those people. Obama can’t."

French politician Marine Le Pen, Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and Czech Republic President Miloš Zeman also were named on the list of 21 pro-Russia political and social figures. Putin notably did not make the list. Ukrainian security service members and three-dozen of the country's sociologists and scientists helped compile the list, Ukrainian media reported.

The website warned that the Ukraine enemies "await a tribunal," and asked page visitors to "be vigilant" and to "find and denounce enemies" in social media.

I have never heard of a wannabe politician giving helicopter rides to kids.

When mine were young, I gave them helicopter rides, it is something they'll emember the rest of their lives.

The fact he is doing something like this which cost money just so somebody can have 'fun' is a good thing in my book.

Criticize him all you want, but he has enough coin to pay pilots, maintenance and to keep his jet and helicopters in the air, it tells me he is not broke which some speculate he is.

If he doesn't steam roller over Hillary and the rest of them to become President, something is wrong as I do not see any candidate that has the money, brutal honesty and media exposure that Trump has.

The others can kiss babies, but no one thinks of the other kids.

Amen to that. Figure that skiorsky costs what? $5K an hour to run? So a 15 minute for a load of kids (say 4 each) costs about $300 per kid.

Your first helicopter ride....you never forget it.

I would much rather see kids going for ride in his pimped out helicopter than going for one way rides on a black hawk into Syria.

I'm not so sure.  He says he can deal with Putin.  He may be vocal but I do not think he is a neocon.

He likes to be the center of attention.  I don't think he wants it by killing innocents and being a terrorist, like the current and previous white house crews are.

He says America needs to change.  That is one area, the nuke, bilological weapon and other unholy devices America has and are willing to use which has to stop.

Some people chant "God Bless America".  Why?  Why should God bless America?

Why not God Bless Palestine or God Bless Mexico or God Bless Venuzuala etc.  They need it more than America does from what I read.  America's buddy Israel left God's fold a long time ago.

Helicopter rides for the kids? I won't call it "chump change" but "Trump change" instead. Besides, the publicity is priceless in a state where the airwaves remain loaded with too much smegma from all the other candidates. These sort of things break through that noise, nicely! Take that from someone who's lived there.

You have never been to Iowa have you William?  I have been there numerous times.  I cordially invite you to come visit this part of the planet.  We should probably run up to North Dakota too as long as you would be here.  A lot of really exciting things go on here like fairs.  I like the county fairs the best because that is where you see the real Merica.  The fairs are a big deal here.  To be honest, Trump is overdoing it because that is not going to impress the Iowans and in fact it will work against him.  Now if he showed up in a shitty old grain hauler or crop duster plane that would work.

I prefer to disagree, I think those at the fair will love the 'big top' aspect of the Trump Show, which is bound to be much more 'fair-like' and entertaining. The symbolism is important as a sign of our situation, this is the kind of over the top show-stoppers that the public loves when the economy/country is in bad times.... like now.... the Roman oligarchs put on their 'circuses' as well for the same reason, to entertain and thusly, to distract the people in the city from getting fed up with their essential slavery to the state. Same then as now. Cycles repeat until their lessons are learned. Round and round it goes, when it stops, only we know. Other than Mother Nature coming in to clean house, the puppet show goes on and on to keep all us sheeple distracted and entertained. Seems only Trump knows how to put on a show.

Each candidate's campaign crew selects Precinct Captains....so I confess, I was Precinct Captain for Obama in Ward X in Flyover, Iowa. The two parties hold seperate caucuses, so my experience is in the Dem caucus. The precinct captain goes to the caucus and checks off attendees on the Dem voter registration list together with other candidates' captains, all watching each other. Then the Hillary Captain sends her supporters to one corner of the room and the Richardson Captain sends his peeps to a couple of chairs, and the rest herd together with their kind.

Each precinct has a certain number of nomination votes to split up. So the Richardson Captain can broker his supporters to another candidate if he fails to win at least a single nomination vote. Then it goes fast. Count the number of supporters standing for each candidate. This is a somewhat cheatable moment for the captain, who does the counts.

Nothing better to do on a sub-arctic January night in Iowa? Register to vote in Iowa and slip on down.

BTW, old people love Hillary and Iowa is mostly old people.

Talking about the upcoming election and the candidates is to give credence to this fucking charade. Every candidate should be ridiculed ad nauseam. Let me ask a straight honest question. On average post JFK, what is the percentage of polices advocated by the incoming president, have they actually kept? 40%? 50%? I would say 55% at best and I mean at best. So why listen to any fucking politician, since they are all consummate liars? Contrast that to the policy promises to big business, the MIC and finance. Need I say any more? Here's CSPAN's link to DJTrump speaking in New Hampshire Friday evening, August 15th 2015: http://www.c-span.org/video/?327605-1/donald-trump-campaign-rally-hampto...

The vid is definitely worth watching. My favorite moment in the vid is hearing & seeing Trump say the word n-a-b-i-s-c-o with more disdain & contempt than I've heard packed into one word in a long time. Top echelon people at Nabisco are feeling about one quarter-inch tall this morning. Don-baby knows how to chew some ass.

My impression of DJTrump is that of a man who absolutely loves to have nothing but a good time in everything he does. In his personal biz he has always known that if he didn't get the best of any deal he tried to make, he would end up working like a wage slave.

EDIT: make that, "...chew some top executive ass."

There is no one better than "The Current Occupant of the White house" to get us out of the current economic malaise due to his extensive experience in business and entrepreneurship.

Wait a minute......

I don't hear any complaints from these liberal rags about Obama flying Airforce 1 to California and then sending it back to bring Moochele to Californina  all at tax payer expense. Trump uses his own money. As a tax payer I have a bigger problem with Obama flying to Kenya and dumping a Billion dollars of our tax money there and then flying to another cess pool and pouring more of our money we don't have just to make a nice impression on the locals.

Most of those who seem to support Trump are just expressing their disgust for the meaningless political puppet show what the so-called campaign really is all about. It is indirect protest against absurd choice between Clinton 2.0 and Bush 3.0 that will be forced on all of us one way or another.

Trump is just a new name for “none of the above” choice. If he steps out the line at critical moment, he will be crushed by fellow oligarchs such as Koch bros and the MSM having so big personal baggage, easy to attack.

That’s why you will not see him attacking FED, banksters or Israel and MIC lobby like Ron Paul courageously did. They did not have any dirt on Ron Paul but they have a mountain of dirt against Trump to bury him in it. Trump will have two choices at some point: to be kick out of the race or to fold into puppetry, which he could easily do, afraid of other oligarchs’ and neocons' revenge that might hurt his business.

Whether he knows it or not Trump is another political ploy, a phony candidate that “hates” establishment that brought him to prominence and undeserved wealth or just a candidate for portraying himself as lesser evil who will save us and will leads us to Promised Land, a pledge to be broken as soon as we cast our votes like the sheep.

How many times may we believe in the same political trickery devoid of merit before we are declared insane or retarded?

The problem is that those who (obviously secretly??? not) vote in so-called elections see in it for themselves, however unreal or misguided, personal economic, political, professional or just emotional benefit or a way of avoidance of however delusionally feared wrath of the power even in family dimension, no matter the consequence to others, seen not as fellow citizen but as strangers that have to take care of themselves.

The voting in the current political system is nothing but morally corrupting tool that extorts from us an approval for the meaningless political puppets of the calcified regime, in a surrealistic act of utter futility aimed just to break us down, to break our the sense of dignity, our individual will and self-determination since no true choice is ever being offered.

Only boycott has any political weight expression in this corrupt system. Let them get “elected” by 10% of population making so “elected” government illegitimate without shred of popular support and then demand their departure from political realm.

Neither DemRep political puppets, Trump nor well-mannered Greens won’t make any difference if they run or not.

Whole establishment must go!!!.

Let's not prostitute our vote no more!!!

Let's not be corrupted this time around.

Enough is enough!!!

As Stalin once said. It is not important who's being elected or
who votes for who. What matters is who is counting the votes (Bush-Gore 2000,Bush-Kerry 2004).

We should be counting votes if we want to win.

We could have easily and cheaply electronic ALTERNATIVE election for alternative programs and ALTERNATIVE candidates (that never run for office and are unaffiliated with any political formation) who would commit to execute those political programs that can truly represent our political aspiration as a nation. Elections, followed all web practically no cost campaign on YT or elsewhere, protected via secure block chain technology guaranteeing accuracy since everyone would be able to check whether his/her vote was counted up. At minimum it could be media event where Americans can voice they vision of America instead of sheeple fest.

The only choice we have for today is absolute boycott of elections as 150 millions of true American patriots are already doing and election after election vastly outnumbering electoral zombies of the American Oligarch Party in their inhumane march into poling/feeding stations to get their rotten meat and in the process to validate murder and mayhem done in our names.

For those who still think they can organize and win "their" election. Here is a gem. The fallacy of this sort of democracy is nowhere better illustrated than in case of Italy where for over 30 years after WWII Italian communist party alone or communist/socialist coalition WON EVERY SINGLE NATIONAL ELECTION and was never asked by president to form government resulting in 39 minority governments all under watchful eye of American protectors of democracy and US navy.

We’re dealing here” with autocratic system disguised as democratic chaos, fake uncertainty or illusion of chance and propaganda of opportunity for all. We might even win, one shot in a billion, in "their" elections but we would never get to rule without blood spilled in the streets.

Remember, only when we go to polls we tacitly approve and recognize candidates that officially “win”, no matter how much we hate their guts, making us complicit in the crimes committed by government in our names. That’s their game.

Idea of political boycott is the only viable idea to express our political views that are absent from candidates' agenda and from the ballots.

Do not be afraid, it was already successfully done in the past. It works.

Donald Trump Called to Jury Duty in Manhattan

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/08/15/nyregion/donald-trump-called-to-jur...

...Despite Mr. Trump’s busy campaign schedule — he is set to appear at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday and has pledged to give fairgoers free rides on his personal helicopter from the parking lot — Mr. Cohen said that his bid for the Republican nomination would not be slowed by whatever time, if any, he might end up sitting on a jury.

“Despite the time that Mr. Trump is required to fulfill this civic obligation, the campaign will continue to go on,” Mr. Cohen said. “He is happy to comply with his civic obligation.”

Mr. Trump was fined $250 this year for failing to appear for jury duty several times in recent years. Mr. Cohen said Mr. Trump had not appeared on those earlier occasions because the summonses had been sent to an address on Central Park South where Mr. Trump never lived and he had not received them. The fine has been waived, Mr. Cohen said.

“Mr. Trump’s failure to appear for previous jury requests was the result of the unified court system’s error in the mailing address, and not Mr. Trump’s refusal to uphold his civic duty,” he said. “It is impossible to know if you are being asked to serve when the jury selection documents are sent to someone else’s home.”

The Trumpster’s popularity goes up every time corporate media gives him negative publicity. What does the rest of the GOP “field” bring to the table? A few of the highlights- Jeb keeps bringing up his brothers disaster in Iraq, Mike Hukabee wants to use the military and FBI to prevent woman from having abortions, HP stock dropped 50% under Carly Fiornia's stewardship, Rick Santorum whines because he is not getting enough love (www.nationaljournal.com/2016-elections/rick-santorum-rips-fox-news-over-arbitrary-debates-rules-20150521). It appears American voters do not appreciate what a truly stellar crew the Republicans have assembled. Maybe Trump and HRC should run as a team.

"Maybe Trump and HRC should run as a team."

Now that is thinking outside the box.  The Constitution does not require the POTUS and VP to be of the same party.  Doesn't even require the VP to be natural born American(sorry Barry, still required for POTUS so there will be future High Treason charges and a noose in your future).  Think of the possible combinations.  Trump/HRC, Trump/Merkel, Trump/Putin.  Now I'll be transfixed on this idea for the next few days.

Y'all are apparently jealous because you aren't billionaires, you haven't sparked a fire of sensibility about how freedom breeds greatness, you haven't offered something seemingly different from the entrenched incompetents and the inbred dynasties and you certainly forgot to consider that if not for team USA, you'd be goose-stepping your sorry azzes off to the incinerators.  Bite me euro-bitchez, you're fired.

Of all the candidates, Trump is the ONLY one to potentially offer something different while spinning the political paradigm on its freaking head, telling it like it is.  Yes, we ARE smart and we DO get it even if we have been the so-called "silent majority."  And, if it's the same ole shit or Trump, I'll take my chances with something that might work versus something we KNOW that won't.

Lol...

No without team USA, Europe would've been part of the soviet union and the US would've been nuked around 1960 or so. Without external enemies the euro-soviet union would've collapsed from within not long after allowing a real anarcho capitalism to flourish in the direct aftermath.

"A fire of Sensibility"

I like that...I'm gonna use that as my campaign slogan from now on.

Here is a comment from "countryboy" found in this thread:http://www.lucianne.com/thread/?artnum=841038

I´m half-way through [Trump's] 2012 book "Time to Get Tough - Making America #1 Again", and it certainly is not muddled at all. In this book, Trump goes down the list of American problems, and how to resolve them.

Probably the most eye-opening, and quite valid, is that the U.S. should NOT be providing, free of charge, protection services for all the OPEC nations. He says that the war in IRAQ should have cost them half of their oil revenues for ten years. Trump is also shocked that IRAQ refuses to pay ANYTHING for killed and wounded American Troops. And nobody in the U.S. says anything about it.

The book also covers Food Stamp/Welfare fraud and it´s massive corrosive effects, single parent homes as the fast track to poverty, and much more.

I didn´t get to it yet, but TRump is an advocate of trade tariffs, esp. against China. I don´t understand how that could work, like to hear more from Trump.

Trump is clearly a conservative, but somehow seems to get sidetracked too easily by FOX/MSM. Seems obvious that the establishment folks don´t want him to get any momentum.

If anybody out there can contact him, tell him to only talk issues, like the stuff in this book. If he can do that, probably win 2016 in a landslide.

EDIT: In this speech   http://www.c-span.org/video/?327605-1/donald-trump-campaign-rally-hampto...    DJTrump mentions the name of Carl Ichan several times and asked politely that someone in the media go and interview Carl Ichan on the record, talking about Trump and about what needs to be done to get jobs back in the U.S. to widen & deepen the tax-base, to rebuild infrastructure, to reform & streamline the bureaucracy and its mandates and to begin balancing the books that the Federal Reserve Bank, the U.S. Treasury, the Commerce Dept, and the Securities Exchange Commission have wrecked with their years of criminal fraudulent practice.

If Trump could only sing "I'm an A S S H O L E" by Denis Leary he would get the lefties on board too.

NOTE: How is Donald Trump going to promote the Climate Change Agenda with carbon based fuel consuming helicopter rides? I don't see how that fits with Agenda 21 protocols for electioneering on the hustings? You won't catch the Democrats offering helicopter rides.

Since the average American has an attention span of about 8 minutes, there's no sense in doing this until about two weeks before the election.

Then, you roll out an October surprise, a multi-cultural, bi-racial, cross dressing transgender transvestite who is in a three way relationship with Taylor Swift and Madonna.

Then you've got everyones attention and you hand out EBT cards to everyone and promise them free stuff, and you get elected by a landslide.

That's how you do it nowadays.
