Zero Hedge: What Should We Do?

George Washington's picture

Zero Hedge has the smartest readers of just about any site in the world ...

Most of us know that just about every government in the world is thoroughly corrupt, and that all of the economic indicators are wholly manipulated ...

And that the big insiders skew the playing field through high frequency trading, quote stuffing, insider dealing, central bank shenaningans, etc. ad nauseum ...

Most of us are just trying to protect our assets and our families ...

And we know that the big reset is coming, because the Matrix can only suppress reality for so long ...

So what's this about?

All of us together are smarter than any one of us individually.  (I learn as much from reading your comments as I do from my own research and writing).

Here's the question: How do we build a sane, free world out of the ashes of the fallen system?

It's easy to point out the problems.  But I want to hear from wiser souls as to SOLUTIONS.

How do we build local NETWORKS of mature, freedom-loving individuals so we can hit the ground running?  After all, we can all go into our own caves to weather out the storm.  But - at some point - we have to rebuild community and civilization.

Empires have collapsed one after another for thousands of years ... and then the people have seemingly started over at zero.

How do we build networks of trust, strenth and prosperity to weather the hurricane of change?

I'm not even pretending to have all of the answers. I'm just humbly trying to start the conversation ...

What do you think?

Forget it. Our elites have made sure that when the meek finally inherit the earth it won't be worth inheriting. Even great men like Putin have only managed to slow the catastrophe down.

Our best case scenario is that our masters develop robots able to do anything we can and better equipped to conquer the galaxy, and only too happy to dispatch their human predecessors with industrial efficiency. More likely the bad guys will finally turn their nuclear arsenals on us rather than yield any real power---less a Samson Option than a Jonestown Option. When they die, so will we.

Short term? Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Long term? Pray none of them live to see the final outcome.

Short the humans. We have been on humans on long for too long. Not much of a fan of being the ugly side of that as it is likely, but Agenda 21 does solve world's problems for quite a few centuries. At the least for time being revert to natiaonal states so that we can learn the limits of our resources. Organize economics with energy at the base (energy standard) as we are all energy running through stardust. Every organisam needs energy to survive and expand (food). As civilizations we need even more energy to grow. If we look at the civilization we have to understand that we are nothing more than a colony of single mind (cell) organisam. All our inputs and output can be determined by energy inputs, items can be determined in energy inputs. The honest money. The reason gold was honest money for so long is that it's relative price followed the energy price of extracting it. The reason why petrodolar is such a strong mechanism is that you can reprice the price of energy giving the $ so much of power as a pricing mechanism. And than tax wealth at relative standard deviation and redistribute it to all people. This is the only mechanism that actually allows that everyone lives well of their current work, instead of overaccumulation of future consumption which causes drops in demand.

a) There need to be "enough" survivors that get through the mayham more or less intact. A nuclear WW3 would mean the end of modern civilization for a VERY LONG time (likely eternity)

b) Let us hope that during the mayham important existing infrastructures remain more or less intact.

c) The crux if a) and b) play more or less out. Build a more or less self-sustainable economy, that is free (not the cronyism and CB centrally planned rigged system currently in place). The human population itself is an ecological bubble that cannot be sustained at current (still rising) levels for extended periods of time. We are all living in an annomaly at many different levels. The core will likely be the remonetization of PMs in some form. Sustainable energy supplies is likely also going to be a big one. Likely the future will also be a more local and much de-globalized one. Drinking whine from Oz. in Canada and eating South African apples in Europe is utter ecological waste (BS).

Just a few quick thoughts.

Be ready to Hunker-Down for at least 6 months. Band together in small groups and be prepared to assist each other on a moments notice. Be ready to defend your family and property and yes, you will have to kill people. If you can't do all these things then go directly to your nearest FEMA camp and be ready to die a slow death.

Consider setting up shop in a rural U.S. County where the Sheriff and Coroner are the highest elected officials.  If you control those slots, you are the wedge.  From there, a ZH community could expand into State government and possibly "own" the State - thinking thinly populated like Wyoming, Montana, Dakotas, Idaho, etc. From there, fight fire (govt.) with fire.  I believe y'all are certainly capable even though there would no doubt be an entrenched old boys club.  Sure they aren't that bright, right.  It would be a classic non-violent battle of State's rights versus the Fed corp.  In the meantime, DHS would armor us up and provide intel.  Parasite the parasite.  Brilliant!

Cheap unlimited power in a small form in one of the major answers.  There are many models being worked on and hopefully one will be allowed to come forward.  When people have cheap power they can desalinate, heat/cool, cook and all the other necessary tasks in life with little to no assistance from any central government.  Thus, it takes very little money to maintain a self sufficient life.  When government is least needed, people will thrive.

Technological developments such as the iPhone, and next up, the Internet of Things, and the Apps between the two, along with Amazon/Alibaba, etc., will change the definition of work and consumption faster than society can adapt. Brokers/Agents/Teachers/Lawyers/Doctors/Accountants or any other purveyors of special knowledge will also be effected. Another game changer will be a Google/Apple/Tesla/Samsung/Uber/Lyft fleet of driverless electric vehicles displacing private ownership of cars, delivery vehicles and public transportation, as well as energy storage, management and use. Millions of cameras in our pockets combined with Asange/Snowden/Zero Hedge types will ensure transparency in governments and corporations. ZIRP will force an equity model of investing for savers both in crowd sourced or institutional formats. Quantum communication will increase security of information transfer itself as well as dependence on satellites, increasingly from low earth orbits to medium earth orbits and eventually high earth orbits. 3D, and further, 4D printing will render manufacturing as we know it obsolete. Continuous exponential technological development is upon us. Our old models, theories and systems are as useful as Birinyi's ruler.

So, George, "What are we to do with the cultural lag of continuous exponential technological development?" is how I would frame your question. I do not know the answer.

Human nature remains more or less stable even with the advent of the printing press and modern transportation bringing us closer to the rest of the world. I assume this future of continuous exponential technological development will be similar. We are still social creatures and need to belong, have sex with our wives and play with our kids. Competition (read envy and passion) is still our major motivator.

It seems to me that envy and passion will counterbalance any moral hazard of somehow bringing QE to the people. Whether this QE to the people be in minimum guaranteed income, a one time capital grant, technological "sin" tax, social, educational, housing and health programs or some mix of these or other things the cultural lag must be addressed. Those with envy and passion will still be motivated to create and rise above their peers.

QE to infinity will suck the debt out of the private economy onto public balance sheets and rendered harmless. There would be no need for bond markets, simply print. Exchange rates between federal currency regimes would be the moderator of excess.

Bottom line: Ban interest on capital.

NICE TRY ZH!

Based on the first two pages of replies, i think we can extrapolate the problem:  There is no single 'ANSWER', unless every person on the planet lived by the prescription "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you".

Obviously the original Constitution is not sufficient, since we had that and still we find ourselves in this mess...and the same goes fo any / all religions.  People are fallible, power corrupts, and you can't legislate around that .

It is natural in the affairs of mankind that we will have leaders, and rules to follow.  What is inescapable is that the people need an inviolate code of conduct with which to inspect leaders actions, and the rules we follow.

in my mind, here is the first:  TREAT ALL LIVING THINGS WITH RESPECT.

....there may be a few other, but not many.  The higher the level of abstraction into basic principle, the more areas of life are covered....and people will easily keep those priciples in mind.  IMHO

In addition to class inequality, billionaires running country, 1%, etc - Bernie Sanders voted against the Iraq war, is now probably the foremost Congressional critic of the Fed, voted against TARP, abhors NSA spying, is against the latest trade pact, does not back the EX/IM Bank, etc.

So:

#1  Elect Bernie Sanders

#2  Someone oughta come out and expose the obscene influence of the Jew relative to their population numbers.

     -  They control the financial system w/ three straight Fed chairmen and slime like Lloyd Blankfein infecting financial institutions all over the place.

     -  They exert undue to political influence over things such as the Iran Treaty Pact where 50+ Israel serving Congressmen just took a junket to Jerusalem to be told what to do and think.

     -  With the increasing minority population growth, the % of Jews is declining.  This should, by its nature, result in a lessening of Jewish influence.  But the opposite is happening.  Why is this?

Instead of obsessing about political correctness and fear of accusations of bigotry, etc  -  Maybe it is time for a true and honest re-evaluation of the above.  Because the world is being dominated by the financial industry and it most definitely is being run and overseen by the wrong people - members of a religious faith who also exert too much disproportionate influence over governence.

Awareness is the key to everything.

The most important thing to realize is that because you are aware of the world around you, and you can choose how to react to it, that you are a co-creator of the world you are living in. Your life is absolutely not predetermined, everything you do affects the world around you, and you are the one that determines what you do. So, if you want to create a better world for yourselves and the ones around you, it is very important to know more about how and why things happen.

Start by simply accepting the fact that a lot of things you thought you knew are absolutely false, try to reevaluate everything, and build a new, more objective worldview, and start acting according to this new view.

If you want to know what to do, read Revelation in the Bible. There are a few symbols that you may not understand, but it will tell you exactly what will happen in the near future as the "global reset"/economic collapse draws nearer and more and more natural disasters happen. To understand exactly what will happen, you will also need to study all the secret society groups connected with the Freemasons, the Jesuits, etc, and what their goals and methods of obtaining said goals are. If you are part of the new generation that can't be bothered doing the research for yourself, here is a very simple overview of what will happen in the future:

  • Increasing economic problems will cause a financial crash unlike any ever seen before.
  • There will be a world war at some point (probably due to the currency wars now in operation), which will drastically thin the population of the world.
  • The governments of the world will form 10 super-regional governments (the beginnings of the New World Order).
  • The 10 super-regional governments will be started with the excuse of "uniting against an alien threat that will wipe humanity off the earth"
  • There will still be instability within the 10 super-regional governments framework, and 3 of them will be absorbed by the other 7.
  • One political leader will rise up, be assassinated and then come back to life on live TV, and everyone in the world will start worshiping him and will make him the ruler of the 7 governments of the world.
  • Said political leader will "set up shop" in the newly rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem and demand to be worshipped as a god.
  • A religious leader will encourage everyone to worship said political leader and also cause everyone operating in the financial system at that point in time to be microchipped, either in the right hand or in the forehead. This is done originally as an option, but it will later be done on pain of death.
  • Amidst all these happenings there will be myriads of natural disasters the like the earth has never seen before and never will again. One such example is a third of the rivers and a third of the oceans turning into blood. Another example is a third of the green plants on the earth dying as a result of the sun scorching the earth.
  • After a few years of these events happening, Jesus will come back to the earth, destroy the political leader and religious leader and anyone who has their microchip in their body, throwing them into the Lake of Fire, and rule on the earth as a just and righteous King for 1,000 years.
  • After the 1,000 years are up, Satan will gather up as many people as he can to launch an assault against Jesus' kingdom but will be destroyed by fire and brimstone from heaven.

Knowing what is going to happen to the earth, the options for your actions are:

  • Try to prepare for the economic collapse in order to feed yourself and your family. You may be successful but then die from the natural disasters.
  • Don't prepare for the economic collapse, and probably die of starvation.
  • Prepare, but run out of food and become forced into the new financial system, receiving the microchip and being killed by Jesus when He returns.

Regardless of whether or not you prepare, the majority of us will die during this time of upheaval, whether by starvation, war, civil unrest, government kill squads, etc. God told us what would happen in the future so that we would be ready for it, and so that we would be ready to meet Him. The most important thing everyone here needs to ask is whether they want to be with Jesus when He reigns, or be thrown into the Lake of Fire for all eternity. Because the reason that this world is coming to its end is because of the tendency of humanity to want to do what they want instead of living the way that God wants us to, and having a relationship with Him. Every problem in society's root cause is sin. As long as the sin remains, there will never be a perfect world, no matter how much we try to make it one. Everyone will be selfish, rip others off, steal, rape, kill, lie, etc, and until that root cause is dealt with, there is no point in talking about how to "rebuild", because the foundation will be the same, and as a consequence so will the end result. Jesus is the only person who can deal with that root cause of sin. If you want to know how He dealt with it, visit www.needgod.com and go through the test.

For hundreds of years the weak minded have been taken in by the bible/religion and think themselves living in the "end time" and of course that they themselves are chosen. Its that little human need of wanting to feel special and needed and like your life has a purpose, well yours doesnt, unless, its just to annoy people who can think for themselves. The conditioned circularity of your thinking that you call "faith" is precisely the sheep like mentality that has allowed us to get here in the first place. Your do nothing but read revelations ( "you may not understand"- but you do presumably you effing moron) and jesus will sort it out is so mind numbingly repulsive that your presence in the human gene pool is an affront to all free thinking people. Even now you feel a satisfying ember of  guilt over enjoying the punishment the lord has in store for me for calling one of his servants a pointless loon. 3) government of executive priviledge and secrecy needs to replaced by new government of absolute and complete transparency

4) large centralized power structures need to be decentralized and power returned to local communities. local communities then need to work together across international borders to achieve as equal, humane and efficient markets as possible. for example, the lower and middle class of usa and china should work together to prevent deleterious effects of collusion between each groups respective elites such as deindustrialization of the usa, and the low ethical standards and environmental protections of the chinese labor market.
