Most of us know that just about every government in the world is thoroughly corrupt, and that all of the economic indicators are wholly manipulated ...
And that the big insiders skew the playing field through high frequency trading, quote stuffing, insider dealing, central bank shenaningans, etc. ad nauseum ...
Most of us are just trying to protect our assets and our families ...
And we know that the big reset is coming, because the Matrix can only suppress reality for so long ...
So what's this about?
All of us together are smarter than any one of us individually. (I learn as much from reading your comments as I do from my own research and writing).
Here's the question: How do we build a sane, free world out of the ashes of the fallen system?
It's easy to point out the problems. But I want to hear from wiser souls as to SOLUTIONS.
How do we build local NETWORKS of mature, freedom-loving individuals so we can hit the ground running? After all, we can all go into our own caves to weather out the storm. But - at some point - we have to rebuild community and civilization.
Empires have collapsed one after another for thousands of years ... and then the people have seemingly started over at zero.
How do we build networks of trust, strenth and prosperity to weather the hurricane of change?
I'm not even pretending to have all of the answers. I'm just humbly trying to start the conversation ...

All joking aside. Imagine going to buy a washing machine and picking from a dozen different ones knowing that all of them will work not good but great. Even the cheapest one. With top models being amazing with a dryer/ sock sorter/folder.
Culture is collapsing. That is the crumbling foundation.
Participate in a local culture to build your networks.
Seek out a church with members you may already know and like and trust. Join a political activist group like the John Birch Society, Oathkeepers, III percenters, or other. Join a historical society like the Confederate Sons of America. Start your own business and meet other business owners and network with your clients. Who cares what you wind up joining, just get involved.

Each state will have to take care of itself. Thats what the forefathers planned in the first place. They didn't want to run the whole dang country like the greedy bastards today.
Once the states started taking money from Washington that was it, they owned us, and they knew exactly what they were doing. DC just wanted your taxes. Thats why you have state and federal tax taken out of your paycheck and the IRS and FED.
SHTF it should be up to each state to decide whats best for its people and its resources and it may also include a state/colonial money supply.
If it comes to each state deciding what is best for it's own people than CT is fucked when you consider the level of lunacy displayed by it's governor and state legislature. They're all a bunch of 'me first' posers trying to act like they have their constituents best interests in mind. It's been going on for decades but got shifted into overdrive post Sandy Hook.

Panama is less expensive than NH. To get a resident visa in Panama, normally one has to document a monthly fixed income (in excess of $2500 or so).

Well, I have taken the time to read through all the answers posted previously, and voted on those that provoked my opinions ... Most were politically impossible, or worse!
My view is that without progress in physical science, then we would still merely be apes tearing up the jungle and beating each other up, without any significant effects beyond that. The ONLY things that have changed are due to progress in physical science. Therefore, my recommendations regarding theoretical solutions are based upon attempting to achieve surpassing progress in political science, based upon the previous progress in physical science.
We are running out of time to adapt in any better ways than for the runaway debt slavery, which has driven debt insanities, to not provoke death insanities. Changing any political paradigms runs into head-on collisions, as demonstrated during previous episodes of paradigm shifts in the history of scientific revolutions, ONLY WAY MORE SO! It is hard to imagine whatever might survive after the currently existing systems of globalized electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs, go through their series of psychotic social storms ... But nevertheless, I continue to promote the basic view that the only sufficient solutions have be based upon series of intellectual scientific revolutions that apply to political science in general, and to the combined money/murder systems in particular. Primarily, that means that we move beyond the various old-fashioned dualities, in the form of false fundamental dichotomies, and the related impossible ideals, and instead start using more unitary mechanisms.
Meanwhile, personally speaking, I ended up spending the last few decades focused upon the issue of POLITICAL FUNDING, and I continue to do that now, through Canadian Electoral District Associations. However, mostly that has PROVEN, over and over again, that governments are arrogantly dishonest, while they continue to get away with that because more than 99% of the people act like incompetent political idiots. Given those basic social facts, I am not aware of any politically possible resolutions to the problems, other than for those problems to automatically get worse, faster, until those force dramatic changes of state ... (which will probably NOT be good things.) Yet still, I continue to develop my kinds of political ideas, and I amuse myself by thinking out loud while doing that, when I post comments on Zero Hedge.

I do not believe that there is anything we can do to save this country, or rebuild after the collapse. It will be the same over and over again. Most people who want to run for any office to represent people mostly do so to gain power. Rarely ever for true good. We all know how society works. It goes from revolution to freedom to tyranny. We all know this and must hedge accordingly. Forget trying to awake the masses. Just take care of yourself and your loved ones and make sure they know the truth.

Every power structure in society should be decentralized.
Power is, at the moment, centralized in banking, government, and big business. The bankers have centralized their power through the Federal Reserve system and through control over the government. Government has centralized its power through the intelligence agencies and the military. And big business has centralized its power through monopolies.
A centralized system makes it easy for the ultra-rich to control everything.
Banks should be dismantled and replaced with something akin to Bitcoin. And, of course, there should be no Federal Reserve.
Government should become an open-source system in which there are no secrets.
And big business' monopolies should all be broken up.

The laws enacted by the US Constitution are what led to this corruption. Laws are only good if men will choose to abide by them. Men will choose to violate laws at will when it benefits them.

As for "maturity" most here have not left High School emotionally. (Actually I must admit that it is better than the many, who are not here, who did not even leave Grammar School and want their Mommy and Daddy Government to take care of them...for the rest of their lives. Mr Miffed told me a funny story about one of his former managers that was determined to climb higher in his company. He got a brilliant idea to attract all the best and brightest to his team, the real innovators and highly productive people. He did manage to amass most of them including my husband and proceeded to brag to management he was going to produce a product that was going to crush the competition. He was granted ample funding and a year to accomplish the task.
In four months my husband was the first to leave. It was a disaster. Everyone was arguing on the architecture and wanted the choicest parts to work on. No one wanted to do the lesser tasks feeling it was beneath them. When Mr actually questioned the marketability of the final product they acted as if that had no relevance. This signaled his time to exist and the project was cancelled a few months later as a dismal failure.
Mr learned from this to have an effective team you need innovative intelligent leadership as well as people to perform the lesser tasks equally as well and accept direction. Unfortunately today we seem to be short of either.

This is an awesome post. In all sincerity I have thought long and hard about this. It is very worrying because we are in a very bad situation. But 99% of that problem is due to the global banking mafia. Whatever we decide upon when it comes to planning and repairing our future, the entire theme of central banking simply CANNOT be included. Nor is it needed.
As for the question of "what do we use for banking then?" The vast majority of everyday people seem to have totally forgotten about credit unions. Little local credit unions can issue credit just as effectively as the global mob... except in much smaller doses. I am not sure if they use the fractional reserve tools, but even if they only loaned out as much money (to those who plan to do something productive with it) as they have on deposit, then effectively it is basically a small commune of neighbors loaning to each other. And all this still happens in a completely safe and regulated manner. It's pure magic. Let me give a rather over-sized example.
The Alberta Treasury Branch is a bank, but on the global scene it is a small one. Nonetheless, it is probably the most secure bank in the world. I say that because not only is it located in the only jurisdiction in the western hemisphere that has no debt (the gov't of Alberta), but it is fully backed by that debt free government. Most banks pretend to offer insurance that your deposits are 100% guaranteed to be returned to you upon demand, to the extent of $100k per account, or $1,000,000 or whatever the case.
As we have found out recently, this is all a lie. They won't hesitate to steal our money, Cyprus and Greece style, and in fact that is exactly what they plan to do when the time is right. But not the ATB, for the simple reason that they have no need for it. Not only that, but they fully back and insure that every penny of your money is 100% backed by the government, WITHOUT LIMIT. If you want to deposit $20,000,000, every single penny of that is 100% guaranteed by a debt free, wealthy province. I mean, it is simply impossible to get any more secure than that!
I have tried numerous times to get the ATB to accept deposits from some of my American friends who are screaming for an option like this. And unfortunately "the Treasury Branch" (as it is known locally) won't accept them. It's not that they have anything against Americans. It certainly is not discrimination. They won't even take deposits from Canadians either if they don't reside in Alberta. This practice is based on a simple rule, which they have every right to impose, that the bank is set up for deposits from Alberta residents, and will be reserved for the use by other Alberta residents. I'm too lazy to look up the exact numbers today, but the last time I spoke to an officer at the ATB I was told that they have more assets than loans owed to them. This bank is rock solid. Well in essence, it operates almost as a credit union. The smaller, more friendly, more accessible theme is there... just like a credit union.
So for everyday people, and even corporations, the local credit union works like a charm. If you are a giant mining operation who needs $200 million to get your mine going... I'm not sure what the answer is for you. But in a properly thought out future there will be one that does not involve any of these central banking thieves.
I think a return to localized, well regulated smaller banks is one of the wonderful options we have that everyone seems to have forgotten about. At least it's an option. At least it's a start.

The statement is based on the assumption the ideas, facts, theories, narratives, etc. get through the confirmation bias and self-interest blinkers of the readers. Likely true in the main, even though the trolls and the PR professionals can be expected to blow their smoke. Read the thread on any Fukushima article, for instance.
Well I understand that you are not amongst the smartest of readers. Yes there are exceptions.
But there is always hope.
A. Go back to the basics of human survival and start there by reviewing ALL the mistakes our world has made and help create a world based on freedom and doing the right thing to one another. Educate most of the non-Zerohedge population about why we ended up the way we did.
B. Hang all the motherFUCKers that perpetuated and profited off the greed and immorality that created this mess. Redistribute their wealth to create a better world---this includes proceeds handed down from generation to generation.
C. Show what happens to public servants who anyway profit from their posistions that the public will not tolerate ANYTHING but full honesty and hard work.
D. Let the People live the way the US Constitution intended it.
E. Fuck paper fiat money-all monies will be Constitutional and backed by precious metals.
F. All regulations will be kept simple and encourage small businesses and not allow GREY areas.
G. No more TOO BIG TO FAIL or too big to regualate anything.
H. The Second Amendment WILL NOT BE INFRINGED-full auto, silenced, concealed, fucking frag grenades if wanted.
The Constitution is NULL AND VOID. It does NOT WORK as it allowed for this to happen.
LAWS DO NOT WORK. That is NOT A SOLUTION. Most of what you write is RETRIBUTION. I am not writing that I disagree with RETRIBUTION...AS I AGREE WITH RETRIBUTION.

If we're looking for a way forward, we shouldn't embrace destruction as a starting point. Rather we should work towards preserving what has been achieved, re-open the 'market, while aiming for something different from the privilege of being part of the 'workforce'.
Automation and robotics have tremendous potential. If we'd find a way to redistribute access to its fruits, without venturing into state-run 'solutions'. Present day economic models are a constraint, limiting our thinking. We're no longer thinking in solutions, but in limits. And God or 'The Market' to come and set us free. There's an entire universe to explore!
If we fail to go 'back to basics', there is no way we can predict how it will end. Try setting sail for a bright future if you happen to be living in recently 'liberated' Libya, Iraq, Syria or Ukraine. And that could be where we're heading if we aim too high, or refuse to do anything about the oncoming collapse. The people in Libya, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine were not free by our standards. But look at them now. Their best option is boarding an overloaded dinghy to Europe. Or, if you're in Ukraine, to take a hike to Germany or Russia. For as long as that will last......
By the looks of it, China and Russia are 'going for gold'. They're setting up new banking systems, circumventing 'western' banks with a vision of developing a more or less 'self contained' alternative for what the US and Europe have to offer. We'll get those lost manufacturing jobs back, while they take our banking and 'service' jobs. Does that sound like a good deal? Also if most of those manufacturing jobs are about to be fully automated? I didn't think so! But here is the kicker: Both Putin and Xi insist we could be part of their future. We only need to embrace a return to 'market-thinking', and refrain from telling them how to live their lives. Is that really too much to ask? Together we can conquer the stars. Divided we probably end up trying to avoid mushroom clouds. The choice is ours. Not 'ours' as in each of us individually, regrettably. But 'ours' as in 'species'.

Correct and incorrect.
Government, and consequent tyranny, are nothing but theft and violence. History informs us that they of tyranny will not go away lightly and without blood. We need to look for and exercise ways of non-violence, "quit paying," and/or get to "flipping the script on their "legal" system," but prepare for violence all the same. It is better to be prepared for what does not come, than unprepared for what does.
Regardless, whatever one chooses, always remember that there can be no tyranny without submission, and non-submission can be shooting back, or walking to the sea to refine salt.

Revolution: It is inevitable, so prepare, as they are.
Restoration: Restore the American people, country and Constitutional republic.
Retribution: The guilty must answer for their crimes against the American people and the Constitution.
Prepare and plan, as tyranny is here, and more is coming.
Begin to study and comprehend that tyranny is a system. It has vulnerabilities, and is actually quite fragile.
Realize that tyranny depends upon us, our backs, like farm animals, to sustain their tyranny--They need us, we do not need them. This is Tyranny's Paradox" and the reason for their tyranny, as they desire, need, the levels of plunder flowing to them to continue.
Tyranny depends upon a cycle in maintaining themselves: Information and plunder flow up, power flows down. This is "Tyranny's Logistics Cycle." Break, or damage it, in various places, and tyranny weakens.
With that said, remember, that the American people have at our disposal two great weapons to use against tyranny that no oppressed society in the history of the world has ever had:
1) That is the fact that they have built their tyranny upon our backs with fiat-debt that they require to be serviced. An empire and tyranny built of fiat-debt straw that only requires us, the American people, to quit paying into it. No need to huff, or puff, just withdraw our backs, and the whole grifting and plundering edifice will come tumbling down upon them. Afterwards, there will still be violence, but much less than otherwise, as their empire and tyranny will be much weakened as well.
2) Turn their system of control, their so-called legal system, against them. Their "legal" system has been designed and built haphazardly as an instrument of control of us. They have never imagined that it might be turned around and used against them.
Local gun and badge citadels are "racketeering influenced, and corrupt organizations." Sue them. They within tyranny often don't follow their own laws (Fast and Furious, etc.). Sue, and/or Arrest, indict, try, and cage them. Sue them for each and every violation of their free-association and property rights violating "equal rights" laws. Hit them with violations of agreed to upon international treaties or standards, especially the Nuremberg Principles. Use the "Congress shall make no law respecting ... or abridging the right of the people to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." clause of the first amendment to bring a rapids full of suits demanding redress against them. Make suits, or arrests, indictments, trials, and cagings of those in open violation of Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution. And so on, and so on. Hang it around their necks and light it on fire.
With Zion controlling the courts, no one will win in the courts, but the duplicity of their tyranny will be revealed--the nakedness of the emperor will be seen by all--and their "justice" and "legal" system will become clogged and rendered unworkable.

Honestly, there's a lot of damn good people out here, but because they're good, many don't understand the word "sociopath." Once they understood the word sociopath, then they'd be smart enough NOT to do business with them, and actually decrease their social contact with them. The people who lie, steal and murder would then have less financial support and end up back in the gutter where they belong until they stop with the lyin' stealin' and killin'. If ordinary folks can't do this, there's no hope.

The easiest, best, and most succinct way to introduce a sheeple to sociopath/psychopathy, and what it means to them, is found in Chapter 10, Why the Worse Get on Top, of Hayek's Road to Serfdom.

Start with the money. Prosecute and jail all those involved in the fiat-thievery ring for their crime of counterfitting. Seize all the ill-gotten gain of the whole lot of them. Rebuild the country around constitutionally authorized money. Educate the populace about the crimes of the fiat-thievery ring to help ensure it does not happen again.

Some good ideas here, but I like this one best by far. Simple and very effective. Will not eliminate error -- as though anything can -- but will limit its impact.
It's amazing how realistic people become when THEY have to pay, directly, for any spending they or their 'government' does. And when they must suffer the full consequences -- up to and including illness, disability, or death -- of their own crimes or mistakes.
Gold-limited money, which must be earned first (must be mined and refined), and once spent is gone forever, and which is limited enough in size that metastasizing 'government' is no longer possible. So, limit governments to such 'sound' money alone, and encourage/educate individuals to use it.
Limit money to the gold in your hands, discourage usury (and if anyone agrees to it, they get no bailout, backstop or protection).
It will be amazing how fast everything else falls into place, once individuals AND groups are constrained to spend only what they have.
Criminals and poverty will always be with us, but the scale of most of the world's ills today can be traced directly to the use (and government imposition) of central bank counterfeit.
I would not BAN counterfeit -- since anyone should be able to trade their own scrip, if others are wise or stupid enough to accept it, and let them reap the reward or the risk all by themselves. People would become cannier this way, very quickly. However, I would most certainly ban any government from assigning SOLE (or any) scrip privileges to anyone, including themselves. I would also ban governments from ever issuing any form of unbacked scrip.
Government, not citizens, is the only group that should be banned from any form of possession or trade. My government's business would be borders and violent property crime. (No, I would not try to ban 'murder' either, as this is unenforceable except on an extremely selective and unjust basis.) So my government would ban no trade, nor any possessions, except for itself (as no government should be permitted to defraud its citizens). This would apply only to citizens, of course. Foreign visitors may be banned from whatever seemed appropriate, including entry to the country altogether.
