Zero Hedge: What Should We Do?

George Washington's picture

Zero Hedge has the smartest readers of just about any site in the world ...

Most of us know that just about every government in the world is thoroughly corrupt, and that all of the economic indicators are wholly manipulated ...

And that the big insiders skew the playing field through high frequency trading, quote stuffing, insider dealing, central bank shenaningans, etc. ad nauseum ...

Most of us are just trying to protect our assets and our families ...

And we know that the big reset is coming, because the Matrix can only suppress reality for so long ...

So what's this about?

All of us together are smarter than any one of us individually.  (I learn as much from reading your comments as I do from my own research and writing).

Here's the question: How do we build a sane, free world out of the ashes of the fallen system?

It's easy to point out the problems.  But I want to hear from wiser souls as to SOLUTIONS.

How do we build local NETWORKS of mature, freedom-loving individuals so we can hit the ground running?  After all, we can all go into our own caves to weather out the storm.  But - at some point - we have to rebuild community and civilization.

Empires have collapsed one after another for thousands of years ... and then the people have seemingly started over at zero.

How do we build networks of trust, strenth and prosperity to weather the hurricane of change?

I'm not even pretending to have all of the answers. I'm just humbly trying to start the conversation ...

What do you think?

Well, I'm not sure I understand the question(s) correctly (world vs local) but I would humbly point out that not all of us "think the same way" now for a variety of reasons. None of us are really truly altruistic enough or truly psychotic enough as the case may be (lol) to think we can change the world or make it conform to what we think it should be, so its highly likely that "afterwards" would be much the same at it's core.

I believe Cog has explored this theme many times in his pieces, the issue of, how people percieve the world around themselves (peoples thought processes & patterns) and the actions they take on that perception and the effect that action has (consciously or not) on others and then back onto themselves.

So if I thnk I understand the LARGER question(s) and bearing in mind my own perceptions & thought pattern bias...locally, it would be much as it is now with groups of generally like-minded people forming blocs of mutual self-interest for trade & protection, tribalism if you will. On a larger scale, the trick has always been to not let one or two of those tribes come to dominate and crowd out all the others and history has shown we collectively (as the human race) have not found anything approaching a solution for that.

If we cooperate, we almost all win.

If we fight, most of us lose.

It's those that are not 'most of us' that cause and benefit from fighting.

Indeed.

But some things really are worth fighting for. I point this out only so those who are NOT Southerners may understand how they were manipulated into a fighting a war that was not theirs to fight.

So, after the Confederate battle flag was removed from a war memorial in a "sovereign state" the instigators did not stop...

It's a lot worse than what you've listed GW, as I'm sure you know.  Making any one suggestion results in a peeling back the layers of an onion because even the suggestions can't be implemented due to new problems they bring to the surface.  Take the water example someone listed above: where are you going to get the plumbers to do the work, how are you going to train new plumbers, how are you going to instill a work ethic in people to make them desire to be trained and how are you going to input a desire to people to even have children in order to have people to train as plumbers?  And etc., etc., etc..

I think you hit the nail on the head though, in saying local action is part of the solution.  Start today to make yourself a better person (physically, mentally, financially, spiritually), and then teach those around you willing to listen that they have to do the same.  Personal responsibility for your own mess, then responsibility for your societies messes.  I'm not a libertarian by nature, but I'm getting closer and closer to the "Don't Tread On Me" mentality as time goes on.

"Take the water example someone listed above: where are you going to get the plumbers to do the work, how are you going to train new plumbers,"

Surely whatever town you live in has at least 1 master plumber, and from there he or she should be able to quickly train apprentices (as a private or government contractor), bringing them to the journeyman level quickly, and even masters if the new hires choose that level of dedication.

I'll guarantee you this, there currently exists a huge horde of people (actual citizens) that will happily work & train installing new drinking water plumbing lines...it isn't rocket science.

Of course they need training, I think the whole plumbing project would be a complete waste of time if the human resource didn't come away with money in their pockets and a tradesman's license well earned.  Oh yeah and don't ya dare call any of those young kids dumber than stupid, just because they are currently stuck working at McDonalds, or Walmart, they just need a break doing some real work/ with excellent training.  Heck there is a lot of plumbers out there right now, trouble is, they have had to change with the economic times and are doing 'something else'.

Without a decent, forceful leadership in government there is not much point at presenting solutions, yeah even simple, easy solutions.

There is the drinking water example, and there is lesser quality water, why would any leader allow perfectly good drinking water to be wasted in massive ways showers, laundry, and toilets?  Stop all the bottled drinking water at the gate.

So here is your government project, to put all those plumbers to work nationwide, a separate plumbing from the water treatment plant for high quality drinking water only.  (yes, every municipal water treatment plant will need to be upgraded)  The drinking water plumbing is smaller than the existing supply lines, but follows along in the same ditch, as higher standard drinking water volume should never be near the volume for the lower standard water: in showers, laundry, & toilets.

Need I remind the public that the current model of higher standard drinking water, consists of plastic jugs being transported to & from the plastics company, then to the private or municipal water treatment plant of choice, then more to & fro distribution, and to & fro eventually to the end consumer~~~all by truck transportation.

What a set-up, the perfect example on how NOT to do things from a decent leadership standpoint, unless you love daily mass consumption of petrofuels to simply move water, without even a thought toward a conservative direction~~~which is what we have now.  Currently, for every bottled gallon of drinking water, at least 2 gallons of petrofuel is consumed (and that is a conservative guess, for I know not how much petrofuel is consumed in the plastics production itself).  And the standard bottled drinking water quality presently is decent, but was never worth wasting that much petrofuel, just to transport it.

Aye the power of stealthflation, subsidies, and stupidity works way to hard in the U.S.A.

How's your landfill doing?  A decent leadership could certainly do a number of things to reclaim trash.  Trash holds huge amounts of value, and yet NYC finally concluded the expense of transportation of trash as far away as KY landfills, they decided to implement conveyors of trash & recycling...how come every trash depot nationwide is not doing this?  Something easily fixed with local people, and by the way, pay those people to sort the trash, stop the 'volunteer/slavery labor', made legal for the dept. of Human Services to administer thru their foodstamp/workfare law.  Stop that workfare crap at the gate.

There are many easy solutions, they all cost money, seemingly troublesome as some would have you believe, but actually easy to implement.

Your ideas are thoughtful, though many readers apparently do not like the idea of being strong-armed by the government.

Raw, untreated water originates from groundwater or surface water (rivers, lakes and oceans).  Recycled/treated waste water and or rainwater collection systems are also sometimes used.  Treatment and distribution of the water for drinking purposes is developed and managed generally by a local water utility, in accordance with federal/state/local regulations, that has a legal monopoly within their service area.  In some water scarce areas, dual water supply treatment/distribution systems have been implemented, one for drinking water and one for non-drinking water ("gray water").  To protect the water utility customer from himself, gray water is limited to the flush systems and the outdoor/basement spigots.  For the dual systems to function, separate treatment facilities, separate distribution systems, and separate residencial plumbing are required.

Implementing dual systems is economically infeasible for the water utility without a major and immediate increase in the water rates, which customers will resist by whatever means possible (voting down bond issuances, etc. ).  Aside from the outdoor spigots, refurbishing a residences for gray water use would generally be very costly, and the homeowner would likely not implement it, unless some extraordinary incentives, like tax credits, are provided.   Many tax credits, however, foster scams. For instance, solar panels for home roofs have been marketed heavily by the local solar installers (panels come from China) as a worthwhile source of energy that would replace the energy from the local electric distribution company, without consideration of the unit cost to the consumer.  The local utility, through economies of scale, may be charging 10 cents per kWh; whereas the all-in unit cost of that replacement solar energy may be 50 cents per kWh.

The federal government has wasted, and continues to waste, trillions of dollars per year on maintaining 300+ military bases around the world, advancing the police state/surveillance apparatus within the US to exercise control over the citizenry, creating and financing false flags, engaging in a war on terror directed at ever-changing and ever-moving terrorists funded by the US government, choking small businesses with ridiculous regulations, conducting overt and covert wars in numerous foreign countries, fostering a bogus war on drugs that only enriches privately-owned prisons, creating an obligatory tax/payments in the name of ObamaCare, corrupting the education system and media into the role of a false science and propaganda arm of government, etc.

The results of the corrupt and incompetent governments are clearly evident in the gross deterioration of our infrastructure and basic systems.

Without government, England, & France, & many others would only be too happy to bomb the shit out of N. America for revenge if nothing else, and I wouldn't blame them to use the 'war on terror' as an excuse.  Or haven't you heard lately, the U.S.A is directly responsible for the intentional global economic collapse and chaos...ever since 2007.  Silly little reasons I suppose by your standards Captain Logical, to expect a formal government to manage at least a few things properly.  And yet I do expect the government to manage many things properly, and this is why I offered 2 constructive solutions, 2 more solutions than you have offered.  I offered 2 simple solutions, something a logical mind, might understand, considering most of the flaming retards that comment at ZH, I thought it best to keep it simple...so you see my point don't you Logicalman?

"Decent forceful government" is not a WTF moment, it is the opposite of deceitful wimpy government (which we currently have, and have had for the last 40 yrs. John Kerry has been in it most of that time).  And I realize most of you x, y generations react with WTF all the time, so I figure your just happy to see me, and I happily flip the bird right back at ya.

Yeah, so, the war on terror wouldn't exist without the US government at this point.  So you're saying that we need a strong government to protect us from the response that other countries would have for the actions of our government.

True, the war on terror was legalized on sept. 18, 2001 by the US congress with the AUMF law.

I'm saying this country has been run into the ditch by GW Bush & others before him, and B. Hussein Obama has done everything he can to keep it in the ditch.

I'm not afraid of strength, force, or dicipline for that matter, from the government, it is when those things are compromised for bribery, treason, & a host of other dirty deeds & secrets that have brought us to the place where we are now.  The internationally acclaimed pariah that Red, White, & Blue rag now stands for.

I don't like where we are now, we need strong forceful leadership thru government to stand up to the casinobarons, the torturers, the intentionally wasteful & negligent, the poisonous both domestically and from foreign entities, that our current & past government has happily allowed, usually for a gift.

If solutions 1 (water lines), & solution 2 (trash recycling) don't seem interesting to ya, how about solution 3:  (new electric transformers each building)

Yep solution 3, would be a nationwide effort to moderize the electrical grid.  We have all heard that crap before ...right?  But my idea is a little different.  Each transformer (out there on your electric pole) should be replaced/upgraded with a new transformer, one that not only provides the AC voltage everyone here already is use to, but also to provide DC voltage for all those modern electronics.  The mere fact that the copper/plastic tonnage is wasted daily in this country, by people throwing away or losing all those little phone chargers, and other little transformers just like them.  Vast amounts of electricity is wasted in this country, by simply leaving these small discrete transformers plugged into the wall when not in actual use.  Everyone's computer runs on DC voltage, and yes there is a little transformer inside the thing, total waste of materials!  All because this country doesn't have the vision to transform the AC to DC at the power pole, and supply your household needs.  LED lights are now becoming 'a thing', yep you guessed it~~~DC voltage will light them up.  And as the electric utility companies are dropping new DC lines, they can be checking on the existing AC lines that might need repair.  And the local electricians can start in on retrofitting every home & business with DC wiring/outlet plugs.

And while we are at it, have the daNged old people over in the 'standards dept.' standardize some of the USB plugs...do we really need 15 different types of USB ports/adapters, total waste of raw material, and overpriced adapters at that...why in heck would anyone pay over $2.00 for a flipping adapter cord is beyond me, but in this NEW NORMAL era, it is commonplace to retail a simple DC/ adapter cord for $20+.

A strong, forceful goverment could easily sustain a simple solution #1,2,3,4,5 etc.....to bring about real jobs, reduce raw materials waste, and demonstrates that conservation/education/hard work is a viable way of life, that will put money in practically everyone's pocket.

Just say NO to WORKFARE!

regarding water quality, for those still in favor of spiking the USA's drinking water supplies with fluoride compounds etc., consider that Israel, home of our Bankster Overlords, has banned any such additives (poisons) to their water supply.  Maybe take heed of that, eh?

"Taking a major step toward protecting the health of its citizens, the Supreme Court of Israel has ruled that the nation will stop fluoridating its water supplies. When the new law goes into effect, in summer of 2014, no community in Israel will be permitted to fluoridate water. "

On November 12, 2012, Izun Hozer Association for Dissemination of Health Education and Yaacov Gurman petitioned Israel’s highest court demanding that water fluoridation come to a halt due to not only potential health concerns, but also because fluoride provides virtually no benefit. In April 2013, the Minister of Health, Yael German, created a new regulation removing mandatory water fluoridation (NS).

Interestingly, ruling not only puts an end to not just mandatory fluoridation in Israel, but all fluoridation — mandatory or voluntary. Here’s a translation of the court ruling.

In the article, "Israel to Stop Adding Fluoride to Water Supplies in 2014 Due to Health Concerns," Paul Connett, PhD, (Fluoride Action Network (FAN)) writes:

"Zealous fluoridation promoters try to convince the American public that 'everyone drinks fluoridated water.' But the opposite is true. An overwhelming number of countries do not fluoridate, including 97% of the European population. In fact, over half the people in the world drinking fluoridated water live in the US. We are the odd ones out. Fluoridation is an outdated, unscientific, failed public health blunder. What I find remarkable here is that Health Minister German has been able to escape the unscientific belief system on fluoridation that traps so many public health bureaucracies in fluoridated countries."

Among other things, fluoride is linked with decreased thyroid and kidney function, infertility, lowered intelligence, impaired bone strength, heart disease and elevated cancer risk.

Did you know?

“It is apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain.”

“The possibility has been raised by studies in China that fluoride can lower intellectual abilities.”

Fluoride is an endocrine disruptor.”

“Several lines of information indicate an effect of fluoride exposure on thyroid function.”

“Sufficient fluoride exposure appears to . . . increase the severity of some types of diabetes.”

“The relationship between fertility and fluoride requires additional study.”

“Further research on a possible effect of fluoride on bladder cancer risk should be conducted.”

“These changes have a bearing on the possibility that fluorides act to increase the Alzheimer's disease "

I don't think we know what we can build until we see what comes out of the ashes. Hopefully, most of the worst is destroyed and human intellect and creativity will get us to the promised land. Who could have imagined of bitcoin a couple of years, but maybe more decentralized structure is on its way to render the power mongers powerless. This will be the ultimate creative destruction, but there is much to look forward to on the other side. With smart people as those who write here who call a spade a spade, I think it facilitates the descruction part which is a good thing. But while we might think ourselves smarter, I prefer to think the solution will emerge rather than be guided for the moment...lest the paracites jump on bandwagon only to corrupt it once again.

Stupid is ubiquitously pervasive these days: Economics - Economic Theory(s) is nothing but a primitive superstition Dogma of a politicalized Medeival Cult and equates precisiely with the Hero of the "neocons" Ivan Trotsky's Bolshevik pseudo-ideological nonsense and illiterate clap-trap and foul tripe.

It is clear that such Collectives as the "neocons" and all that they are attached to and of, breeds nothing but emotional instability and irrationality as they live in a constant state of fear and fear making and hence cannot grow and evolve ie mature from the proto-Human stage to the Human Being promise of Life Principle. Scientifically this state is well established by Wilhem Reich and in recent times by Bruce Lipton in his Spontaneous Evolution.

Ignorant we are born, BUT staying ignorant all your life is hard work - BUT that work in which the "neocons" excel.

Is it not clear that there is - this very day - a global collapse upon the face of the Earth? Is it not clear that Economic Theory(s) is invalid? and clearly has failed miserably? Is it not clear that the Central Banker Economists are favouring only the Banker community at the cost to everybody else apart from the cronies? And indeed it is blatantly clear that incompetence and dishonesty and sociopathic behaviours are the prime skill sets of those that would rule - hence, with the tiniest elements of humananity that has emerged, secrecy - as matters of national security - nought but covers their shame.

Humanity cannot afford to follow the crazed and insane peddlers of fear, genocide and priests of nuclear war; any war - reason, ethics and science must take precedence to emotional irrationalities which the "neocons" and their ilk represent.

Hence, the crisis and devastations upon our planet today represent  a "leadership" failure where "leadership" and their irrational dogma has wrought them not irrelevant, but a lesson to be learnt - but learnt quickly - as nuclear war is being considered under their fear of being replaced and made redundant.

Secrecy in government is unecessary, if that government is being carried out on behalf of the whole of Humanity and not just a few highly influencial groups of self-interests.Secrecy is the tool of self-interests.

Hasn't the World had enough of these "neocons" and their wars, genocide, murder? You Americans live in fear - and that "fear" that you should "fear" is nothing but the "neocons" within.

The "neocons" are your enemy. They are the enemy of Humanity as a whole

Let Humanity Rise to Reason, and Peace in Respect.

In the short term window, we must let the whole thing collapse, as it is doing. There is no other choice now.

In terms of Monetary, Financial and Banking Policies, the error has been made as the Banking system was Bankrupt, but the Banking system bailed itself out. And they are still Bankrupt, not just in economic terms, but also in terms of morality, ethics and basic Intelligence. No, absolutely not, there is no Intellect here. It's too late. The whole System of Global "leadership" is Bankrupt; Let it Burn.

There are many things that can and will be done but we must understand and comprehend, that economics is merely human behaviour, or more precisely, proto-Human behaviour. There is another step, a differentiation that the proto-Human must undergo before he can grap his Destiny as a Human Being. And this is where we must step and begin Right Now - this is what we can do..

Yes, the primitive Collective attraction of Plato's Cave suggests warmth and security whereas in reality it delivers only war, theft, genocide, racism and serfdom; the Collective is the Merchant of Death.

From Jung: "Modern man is even more sick in normality than in the asylum. He is a man in search of his soul."  "Mankind is in great danger, and the only solution is to become more conscious. The only real danger that exists is man himself. He is the real danger."

Our greatest enemy apart from ourself, is not recognizing that which we are; we are not an animal; we are a different Life species; a species that can exponentially leverage the dead, that is to say the  past, through the present and into the future. We are unique and do not belong in Collectives - Collective are funghi - not of the Human species.

Carl Jung’s Aion, Volume 9 of his Collected Works brilliantly describes the Self - the Individual; the Human being aka the higher Adam; Man the accomplshed. There is nothing mysterious here; it is the normal process of the Human Being Principle; maturity through differentiation.

And it is this state of Human Being, the high Adam, who knows exactly what to do.

Mind you, we should try to stop the incompetent morons, which rule today and call themselves "leadership", "lawmakers", and "elites", from beginning a Nuclear War, otherwise all bets are off.

I think you are correct for the most part. However, there is a paradox in that we are both individual and collective. Humans are essentially an accumulation of many different animals, biologically speaking we are extremely weak in terms of at-hand predator ability. We need other people and/or technology of some kind. This is our ape- or wolf-like behaviour, we hunt in groups or collectivise with the technology we create; otherwise we are left to foraging for plants or scavenging remains.

No one can be totally individual, nor totally collective. We are born human, of a nation, having many theological and logical influences from our culture. What we learn is not wholly self-created, but dependent. And, of course, individualistic societies have become the most collectivist of all - going from the empty ethics of 'rebels withour a cause' to the belief that we are all individual parts of one whole system. People have next to no critique of democracy, but if you understand de Tocqueville and his history of the development and revolutions of democratic societies you will see that democratism unloads and decentralises governmental tasks, the bureaucracy, onto the individual and isolated communities. That is precisely what Kafka was describing in his stories, the arbitrary abstracting of laws which make us complicit and self-elect our own participation as a naked emperor unaware of his participation.

Collectivist societies also tend to create individuals, arguably more powerful and intelligent individuals than anything we have seen in modern democracy. Simply compare the art of the renaissance to what is produced today, compare the writings of those opposed to the Soviet regime to what we have today. The problem with the individualist mindset, and we see this clearly in artwork, is that it is largely focused on negation. It opposes everything, but it is for nothing. This is where Zamyatin and Platonov were far ahead of Orwell and Huxley, they included affirmation in their stories - what humanity could be along with arguably more scathing critiques of society. Orwell and Huxley didn't really offer anything, it was just negation of where society was headed within certain details, but not at its core. At the core they supported the system.

What is necessary is some sense of balance, there is an ideal and an Ideal whether or not we recognise it. As they say, if you don't understand history then someone will write it for you. If you don't understand government then someone will perform its functions for you. This was one of the great problems of America, the theological belief in local economy allowed for an abstract government to go on unnoticed by citizens. Their ignorance of its growth, in fact their cynicism and unconcern for anything but the individual and work, allowed the cancer to grow and take over all aspects of life. Americans repeated the European problem. They rhymed through its history.

I won't claim to know all of the answers, however, I do know that isolation and fictitious separation from government does not work. Many of the middle/management/idle elite class are the moral framework for a society. They are the faces who all too willingly take up the bureaucratic outposts, in the foreign military, in the domestic military, in the taxation offices. And this is where the huge gaping void exists in the American ideology of individualism. These are the people who most staunchly believe in individualism, those who work in the bureaucratic hellholes. For most, individuality is nothing more than an excuse, a modern form of self-redemption. Work in a bank, but on the weekend show off how much of an individual you are.

This suggests a hollowness in the core, or at least a severe error. Tearing yourself away from the ties of authority in your mind is only a small step, barely starting. You also have to do it in reality, strive towards something great and not just work for the sake of work, take down government and other forms of evil, prevent other forms from returning, and surround yourself with like-minded people to communicate and know who can be a good authority in a given situation. That is what being a true individual really requires. It is a balance of individual and collective development. In some way I think this can only be done on a scale between 2 and 200 people (anthropology supports this idea). A good individual struggles for the right collective. And a good collective struggles for the right individual. It is a delicate balance, perhaps dangerous. But a society worth living in cannot strive for mediocrity and isolation.

Rarely is substance changed. Politics and business as usual continue simply in a different, slightly-altered form. Similarly, one phase does not cleanly end and another start. We can only change ourselves, as we are able and as God orders and provides. So we cling to the one truth that we can rest upon--God. As we focus on his sovereignty over his creation, and know that this world is fallen and destined for destruction, we take the Gospel to all corners of the world and live out our vocations and occupations in the principle of non-aggression and love. As his spirit allows and provides, that effort will shine light and give meaning. Utopia? Never on this planet. But perhaps a much better place, less evil, until he comes again.

Only God can fix this mess.

Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior before it's too late.

While we await that day, do your best to be like Him, and the world will be a better place.

Quit dividing society by race, sex, religion, politics, pro/anti second amendment, etc.  And follow the rule of law, beginning with the Constitution and enforce all laws equally on all people, including politicians (starting with Bush, Cheney, Hillary & Obama).  No one should be above the law.  Establish order out of the existing chaos.

So the smartest folks on the internet are going to collaboratively script the rebuilding of law and orderly society on a monitored website on the public interweb which is a military surveillance device so that NSA can build a list and develop countermeasures to the best laid plans of mice and men.

Brilliant.

As for me and my house...we will use analog methods to spread the gospel of the kingdom which is in essence the truth that moral duty is elevated above civic and religous duty. All this blathering about outcomes is sort of meaningless as our response to the mouting mahem is all that we control. Follow orders? Follow the carrot? Jam a log in the spokes? Love thy neighbor? Kill some zombies? Liberate some oil or some preps? Do what is right regardless of consequences in light of your belief in justice to be meted out just the other side of eternity...

What will you do? That is the question.

Build the center. So far the media has been used to divide us into squabling groups. No one can get along. Making big deals about gay rights or the abortion deal is ridiculous. It keeps the minds of the people distracted. The REAL issues need to be discussed. Gays and transgenders have always been around. Who cares. By keeping the people seperated the money interests and power interests can control the country.

I suspect that some people realize now that we are being ruled by criminals. They have control of the money, the courts, the entire system is rigged. The laws that had been in place have been shackled and it is obvious. When you see the Supreme Court vote for the big corps and leave the people in the dust then you know it is rigged. Corporate Socilaism has got to be stopped.High Frequency Trading is ruining our markets. As soon as Michael Lewis exposed this issue there was a huge court press to muzzle him and that hero Japanese trader and now you here nothing about this criminal activity.

If NSA is so powerful and know so much then why are the porn sites flourishing? The Mafia? The great criminal issues at Wall Street? Why are they concnetrating on two muslims in Texas that were bated into going after a Mohamad cartoon fest started by a nut case.

No other country should have control of our country. Israel and Aipac have way to much control. Most policies are now set upon is it good for the Israelis first and the US second...politicians are in their pocket. NO dual citizenship. You are either an American or you are not. Any spieing should be dealt with like it always has been dealt with. Just like the Israelis deal with it...a bullet.

In my opinion the CIA works for corporate America, the Forest service works for International Paper, etc etc...the SEC works for the Big Banks. This has got to stop. The laws have been ignored. How can we in good faith look at putting some poor black man into jail for smoking a joint and then let these predetory monsters run over everything. Just because the poor are poor does not mean they are stupid. When it is obvious that the rule of law only applies to the lower classes/middle class then they decide to do the same...Then I sure don't want to heare about the Republican/Democratic stance that they stand for Family values..or any values for that matter.

They already wrote the best blueprint for a society as yet devised.  It's called the Constitution of the United States.  Follow it's principles and things will get better.  Might want to add an amendment against a central bank, maybe one setting out term limits.  Otherwise leave it alone and follow it.

To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;

To regulate Commerce...among the several States...

To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution...

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution...

Very few people actually understand what life would be like if we limited the general government to the powers granted to it under the Constitution.

We have strayed so far that one who tried to explain what the Constitution actually meant would be branded insane.  This is no exaggeration.

No, the answer isn't the constitution.  The answer is simple and it's this:

1.  Be honest.

2.  Demand honesty of others.

3.  Hold people accountable for failing to be honest.

The US Constitution is the only existing blueprint for a more lateral, networked government-in place of thousands of years of centralized hierarchical models.

The first region that gets it right owns the next millenium.

Problem is that centralized control models attract the pyschosociopaths control freaks-basically those not subject to "human " limitations and restrictions on behaviour.

Fortunately they're less than 5% of the population

" Might want to add an amendment "

There must be one for states and/or the people to overturn the bullshit the Supreme Court does.

There must be one that prohibits the govt from making you or I responsible in any shape, manner or form for someone else (that means redistribution of wealth in all forms must go) and forbidding shit like govt retirements (SS) and healthcare (medicare, medicaid, obamacare).

There must be one that prevents any entity from materially supporting in any shape, manner or form a politician that said entity cannot legally vote for.  IOW, if I'm from Tx, I cannot give money to a Utah politician and I may not give my company's money to ANY politician because my company cannot vote.

We must go back to states electing senators.

>>>There must be one for states and/or the people to overturn the bullshit the Supreme Court does.

Congress already has the power to limit the jurisdiction of the federal courts, and badly needs to exercise it.

But you're right, there needs to be a devolution of power to the lowest possible levels of government.  Human beings are not capable of living in groups without some form of enforcement of behavioral standards; we need to bring the level of standard-making, and proverbial head-cracking, down to the level of, say, one of the smaller Swiss cantons.

The French seem to have invented the current western notion of centralized national government; perhaps the U.S.A., though its collapse, will help re-define the limits of government.  No... modern, "sophisticated" monetary and political tools will not deliver Heaven, but Hell.  And I didn't raise my son to be a demon.

yes, No Debt, you're right - that Constitution was excellent, but as Chupa & Others have stated clearly and often, the post Civil War legislative actions usurped that Constitution and substituted the Corporate Constitution and power structure run by City of London, District of Columbia, Vatican City ....

the answer, George Washington, is to allow the medicines that heal the human mind/body/soul that are currently prohibited.  The class of medicines is Psychedelics, and the Diamond Tip of this class is AVATAR N,N,Di-Methyl-Tryptamine Fumarate 90mg + 40mg Ketamine.

There is no short way of describing the experience, thus I have undertaken the task of performance + education under the current title "Music, Medicine, Miracles".

As the "occupy" events showed us, there is NO way to organize a mass movement of people attempting to change things @ their, the Bankster Globalist MIC game.

The ANSWER my friends, is to GIVE the people in positions of influence, power & authority this medicine.  It can be produced by big Pharma as single-use, prefilled sterile syringe, yes, just like vaccines.  Only this medicine treats addiction to power and psychopathy.  The individual is given tailor made Pineal gland Awareness & Vision as to the true nature of things and a new understanding of the link between all living things & beings.

Yes, this means putting the DEA on receivership status as we reform the organization from one that continues poisoning the minds & bodies of life on this planet into an organization committed to doing no harm and giving humanity the life-saving medicines which they currently prohibit.

I wrote a very important essay regarding this K&D Avatar medicine, 9/11 2001 NYC & the drug war in 2004.  I will use this essay as the basis for "Medicine, Music, Miracles".

My prayer, in Nov 2005, of compassion for the sickness of the Iraqi MENA war & sickening violence that I might be given a voice to amplify what I wrote in that essay of 2004 was granted.  Shortly after that prayer my vehicle was searched by police in California - I was found in possession of MDMA....most of 2006 was spent in court appearances and finally sentenced to probabation.  That began my intimate relationship with what the DEA is all about and the undercover drug cops, informants, stings, setups, frameups, and worse.

Buddhism teaches one to be grateful for difficult people in your life, for they are more precious than a Trillion Wish-Fulfilling Gems, as they allow one to practice patience...

I found ZH in around Aug 2009, and sent many tips into zh, but didn't register for comments until this year.  I've been imagining this day for many years....

Radical Marijuana, I've contacted and entertained this topic almost 3 years ago...there are so many Zero Hedgers who want to know what to do, like George is asking...we have to re-legalize nature and take our medicine.

We're suffering like somone who is sick who needs a simple anti-biotic, say amoxicillin...and miraculously very quickly recovers and wonders where that pain & sickness went...    it's that same way with out mental state and addiction to ideology, people, things, etc.  That is why Buddhism, real buddhism that is the 4 Noble Truths & 8 Ways of KNowing.... (there is much misleading buddhist info out there, that seems to go in circles and completely leaves out the 4 Noble Truths, which is simply and only what the core of buddhism is.

So, how do we go about getting urgent rush approval of these medicines?  Pretty easily really - look how Big PHarma/GOV use the media onslaught to use the Ebola scare to get fast-track new drug/vaccines going.

Real change IS hard....is means changing your mind.  This is the kindest, most amazing medicine to allow one to do that, and the personal Forgiveness that also must accompany the change process.

The people of Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, my mother, my father, my sister... these medicines, the Psychedelics & AVATAR K&D are needed now.

The PTB went with bombs & alcohol in the 1960s as the psychedelic experience scared them that they might lose some of their power and money.

It's Endgame now, it's time for us to correct the course and trust the human interconnected web of life to open our eyes and see clearly our position, and to choose Love as our guiding principle.

Staying the course of increased Militarization Police State & Road to Serfdom is the other option.

I will lead by example and teach Law Enforcement how to use these medicines and the DEA how to transform itself.

The decision to operate an advanced technological civilization with the primitive Alcohol as our
Go-To Inebrient was not the brightest or intelligent decision... like Daniel Ellsberg wrote about, being asleep/drunk @ the Wheel for over 60 years...

Those of you who want to step up and do this, let me know....

Peace & Love

I would take our original Constitution and add a couple of amendments....

Term Limits for Congress....4 terms for the House- 2 terms for the Senate...Max of 18 years total

Give the Congress the power to investigate the Executive Branch and prosecute w/o the blessing of the Attorney General (if he/she is as criminal as Holder/Lynch are)

Any violation of the Constitution by a Fed Official carries a 20 year prison sentence. A violation by a Federal Politician carries a life sentence or death sentence...

Unelected bureaucrats cannot write Federal regulations that have any authority over the American people....All current Federal regulations are null and void. ANY regulation that will affect citizens must be voted on and passed by Congress and signed by the President. Nor can the President sign ANY Executive Order that affects the American people unless it is also voted on and passed by the Congress.

I would also amend the 2nd Amendment (so that it cannot be misunderstood)to: "The right of the people to keep and bear arms is absolute and without limitation by Federal, State or Local authority".

Finally repeal the 17th amendment and put the election of Senators back in the hands of the state legislatures.

Very good points with the constitution knightowl77.

We also need to address the takeover of governments (on false grounds of national security, no less) by a secret cabal of globalists. Full disclosure of the ET and energy technology they hide are mandatory for our survival, since the EROEI of fossil fuels is rapidly declining.

Senator Gravel states [at 1:20:02] that it is criminal to refuse to disclose technology that frees humanity to an unbelievable level.

here is a plan that starts from  the root

1. Re-educate people

2. go back to sound fundamentals

3. next finacial system  MUST BE BACKED BY GOLD: this is a must because: we can not jump from one paper system to another, it has to be metal, and with metal it is harder to manipulate THE SYSTEM OR PRINT YOU WAY OUT :)

4. REINTRODUCE AND ENCOURAGE SAVING

5. LIVE BY YOUR MEANS AND STOP THE CREDIT SYSTEM AND INFLATION

"Educating" does not work.

The median IQ of North America is in the double digits. You will have about as much success 'educating' your living room furniture, as you will MOST Canadians and Americans.

The psychopath's in charge of 'educating' this mass of simpletons, does so with the intention of dumbing them down and keeping them that way. They are then able to use this "feeble-minded majority" to beat the rest of us into submission.

When the dam breaks, and the idiot masses are of no further use to the elite and are then abandoned; we had better figure out how to handle them, once they all get dropped onto our lap.
