Virginia Reporter, Photographer Killed During Live TV Report; "Disgruntled Employee" Gunman Tweets Attack, Shoots Himself
Vester Lee Flanagan - aka Bryce Williams - the gunman who killed two journalists during a live broadcast in Virginia has attempted suicide and is "in a very critical condition", media report.
He was dismissed in 2013, after gaining a reputation for being "difficult to work with," according to the station's management.

As The Daily Beast reports,
In the tweets, Flanagan hinted at possible motives for the shooting. He tweeted about filing an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint and alleged that the reporter had made racist comments. “They hired her after that???” he tweeted. The slain producer, he claimed, complained to HR about him after working together one time. His final text tweet boasted about filming the attack.
ABC News said it recieved a 23-page fax from Flanagan and turned it over to authorities.

While Americans are becoming numb to inner city violence, shooting sprees, and lone gunmen at military installations, the following stunning clip - from live TV at the Bridgewater Plaza in Bedford County, Virginia - of a reporter and photographer being shot and killed is likely to raise the public's awareness of the underlying chaos occurring under the surface in America every day...
A gunman has opened fire on a TV news crew conducting a live broadcast from Virginia shopping center on Wednesday. Police are reporting three victims, though their conditions are currently unknown. The shooter is still on the loose.
Video from the scene appears to show a crew from local TV outlet WDBJ7 being attacked in the middle of a live report at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia.
A reporter was interviewing a woman at the shopping center when the gunman walked into view, firing what sounded to be at least six shots.
The station has confirmed the incident involved one of its crews.
Police are looking for the shooter and hope to soon release a description of the individual to the public.
Nearby Bedford County schools are currently on lockdown as police search for the shooter, ABC 13 reported. The Virginia Department of Transportation has reported a high-priority situation, announcing the closure of Route 122 in the area.

The gun is not the problem. The violence you see today is a result of a rotting US/World culture. The term 'gun violence' is a red herring. Violence is violence, the gun doesn't just jump up and start killing. Guns are more difficult to obtain today than at any point in the history of the US.
When my father was young he could walk into a hardware store with cash and walk out with a high-power hunting rifle...with zero paperwork. Growing up in the country virtually every family I knew had a rifle or shotgun either propped up against the wall, or easily accessible...without any trigger locks. In both of these scenarios there was not a single incident of 'gun violence'.

the bad news is that this will likely increase anxiety which will eventually lead to depression which is often categorized in psychology as bipolar disorder. many of your brightest scientific minds such as Edison, Einstein and others including musical creative minds have this condition or similar. it does not mean such cannot produce fantastic invention or creation. many individuals suffering from this kind of condition cannot piece together the extra perceptions into meaningful work.
delusion is an indicator that one must get medical treatment immediately. once an individual has taken medication to calm down and stabilize it then becomes very important to not just lean on psychology it becomes very important do you understand what the causation may be as lacking chemicals in the brain is a symptom and not a cause. most often the cause is related to digestive disorders.psychiatry will not point to causation outside of thyroid problems. psychiatrist will often prescribe medications that are either not FDA approved or you for multiple medical reasons such as preventing seizures. search there has been a crackdown on narcotics such as chill pills the medications given often have very dangerous side effects with little benefit.
it is important if you have these kind of conditions to use Google to begin to conduct research into potential causation. you will find a high correlation of individuals with digestive disorders and mental imbalance or illness. in doing so you can find an MD that can assist with testing causation instead of just correlation as psychiatry suggest and overtime reduce or eliminate medications that can have dangerous side effects such as suicidal thoughts or zombifcation.
as society has grown far more difficult over the last 10 to 15 years, the added stress on top of for digestive health are sending many people on the edge with anxiety and/or depression into a state of delusion. it is likely as times get yet even harder before they get better we will see many many incidences such as this tragic one occur.
I myself couple chill pills a day. I have a few people mention to me that they feel I am one of the brightest minds of today. Two of them suggested that I should not take such things and should just enjoy being permanently hypomanic. while I appreciate very interesting insights in such a state I do not particularly care for the lack of sleep in the necessity to apply Boolean logic in assessing what is a good insight and what is just rubbish in my mind. it is often difficult to work with psychiatry because even if you have a highly intelligent mind it is assumed that you are incapable of any form of real innovation, ingenuity, or creativity. also even when you admit that there is something wrong and you are proactive and getting a handle on these things being on any kind of medication makes your family and friends shun judge or avoid you not understanding what is going on. so there is a stigma attached where especially nowadays people do not seek help because they fear that their employer their friends or their will judge them. they are correct in this assessment but if you really want to live a complete life then going through this process is worthwhile and will also educate you on showing sympathy and compassion for nearly all human beings because so many people have these kind of issues and barely get through life relying on damaging stimulants such as sugar or caffeine alcohol and drugs which get te brain by temporarily but at cost.
last but not least there are psychiatric medications as mentioned that have not been tested by the FDA and have multiple views for many conditions that if are prescribed can cause not only suicidal thoughts homicidal ones as well. psychiatry needs to be taken to task and how they are fast driving and also of not suggesting the root causes a particular mental illness. they have gotten the pass for far too long.

How can you possibly tell? We are working with low resolution screen grabs, and the contrast and brightness levels can be easily manipulated to make the shooter look either white or black.
I've seen three different images so far: one that makes the shooter look black, one that makes him look white, and one that makes him look like he's wearing a mask.
No witnesses, filmed in a remote place that was clearly closed to the public at the time...if this was a "random" shooting, how would perpetrator have found these people in the first place...I smell a false flag?

I think all the screen grabs I've seen so far clearly show someone of lighter skin color. Yes they can be manipulated and I won't deny that. Also the idea of a "false flage" is possible as well. It was about the worst situation imaginable. Totally calm twilight scene, reporter is interviewing another woman on live television. They're isolated on some kind of walkway (nowhere to run). They're in mid conversation, all eyes are on the woman being interviewed and the gunman comes up behind the back of the cameraman, shoots him a few times, he goes down. Young woman screams and starts to run, woman being interviewed doesn't seem to move. It's not clear if that's because she was being shot or she was just in total shock, either would work. Camera drops and points backwards just enough to see it's a white man wearing all black shooting the cameraman. Last couple frames has the lower legs of the shooter on frame and the reporter girls screams are changing pitch and sound strained as she's taking hits. The news station then cuts back to a studio reporter who has clearly turned white and is unable to process what just happened.
Literally the only option left for humans like that is to try to tackle the man with the gun. You'll take bullets trying to do this, obviously, and very likely die doing it. But at that point, you simply don't have time to arm yourself and stop the madman any other way.

Watching and having memory of the death of others is horrible, no doubt about it. But root-canals are horrible, surgery is horrible, yet such procedures can literally save your life.

I don't think the camera man had a chance, but if someone there had been armed the reporter might have made it. She would have at least had a better chance. Certainly, the nutjob could have been stopped instead of moving on to other targets. btw, I wasn't the down voter.

Not quite true, but very close. The only hope you have is to open carry. Concealed is beyond your reach in time of need - just takes those few split seconds too long. Now having your firearm at your side, and having a long and continuous practice/training with drawing, targeting and firing said weapon - and you're not completely screwed - still scary as all hell, but you can have a chance.

As much as I advocate open carry...it would not have changed anything here. You can't defend yourself from what you don't see coming. Being armed...openly or concealed, will not save you if you don't have the situational awareness to detect and react the the threat before it can harm you.
