Rutgers University Warns Students - "There Is No Such Thing As Free Speech"
Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,
Ironically, U.S. college campuses are rapidly becoming the least free, most censored places in the country. Many people have commented on this, including high profile, enormously talented comedians such as Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld. In fact, Chris Rock was so appalled that he stopped playing colleges because audiences had become “too conservative” Before getting all bent out of shape, this is what he meant:
Not in their political views — not like they’re voting Republican — but in their social views and their willingness not to offend anybody. Kids raised on a culture of “We’re not going to keep score in the game because we don’t want anybody to lose.” Or just ignoring race to a fault. You can’t say “the black kid over there.” No, it’s “the guy with the red shoes.” You can’t even be offensive on your way to being inoffensive.
Although I’ve touched upon this subject before, I haven’t given it nearly the amount of attention it deserves. That said, I would suggest rereading a powerful post published earlier this summer, A Professor Speaks Out – How Coddled, Hyper Sensitive Undergrads are Ruining College Learning. Here’s an excerpt:
Things have changed since I started teaching. The vibe is different. I wish there were a less blunt way to put this, but my students sometimes scare me — particularly the liberal ones.
I once saw an adjunct not get his contract renewed after students complained that he exposed them to “offensive” texts written by Edward Said and Mark Twain. His response, that the texts were meant to be a little upsetting, only fueled the students’ ire and sealed his fate. That was enough to get me to comb through my syllabi and cut out anything I could see upsetting a coddled undergrad, texts ranging from Upton Sinclair to Maureen Tkacik — and I wasn’t the only one who made adjustments, either.
The current student-teacher dynamic has been shaped by a large confluence of factors, and perhaps the most important of these is the manner in which cultural studies and social justice writers have comported themselves in popular media. I have a great deal of respect for both of these fields, but their manifestations online, their desire to democratize complex fields of study by making them as digestible as a TGIF sitcom, has led to adoption of a totalizing, simplistic, unworkable, and ultimately stifling conception of social justice. The simplicity and absolutism of this conception has combined with the precarity of academic jobs to create higher ed’s current climate of fear, a heavily policed discourse of semantic sensitivity in which safety and comfort have become the ends and the means of the college experience.
Moving along to today’s post, I want to highlight two different stories that I came across today demonstrating just how far “higher education” has cratered in recent years. First, let’s turn to Rutgers University, whose “Bias Prevention & Education Committee (BPEC)” recently put out an alert that began with the following statement:

Really, since when? I think a little document called the Constitution of the United States of America might have a different opinion.
Of course, as soon as this became publicized, the school removed that language. Reason reports that:
Rutgers University students, you are being watched.
That appears to be the message a Rutgers.edu web page would like the campus community to absorb. The web page is maintained by the Bias Prevention & Education Committee, which chillingly warns students that there is “no such thing as ‘free’ speech,” and to “think before you speak.” From the web page:
Since 1992, the Bias Prevention Committee has monitored the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus for bias incidents and has provided bias prevention education to staff, students, and faculty. …
Bias Acts Are:
Verbal, written, physical, psychological acts that threaten or harm a person or group on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, disability, marital status, civil union status, domestic partnership status, atypical heredity or cellular blood trait, military service or veteran status.
If you experience or witness an act of bias or hate, report it to someone in authority. You may file a report on line at www.bias.rutgers.edu and you will be contacted within 24 hours.
Rutgers defines bias so broadly that all kinds of clearly protected speech would likely trigger an incident report and subsequent investigation by this Orwellian committee.
However, the university administration seems to be backing off some of the committee’s claims. When Campus Reform first reported the existence of the web page last week, it looked like this (Edit: Link fixed). By Monday, it looked like this. The difference? The university removed the assertion that there is no such thing as ‘free’ speech.
I suppose this means that administrators recently reviewed the page, and stand by the rest of its claims.
Of course, this is far from a one-off incident. This is becoming systemic at universities from sea to shining sea. The good news is that some people have had enough and are speaking out. One brave example is Alice Dreger, who just very publicly resigned from Northwestern University protesting the schools’ censorship. We learn from the Chronicle of Higher Education that:
Alice Dreger doesn’t usually pull punches. So it’s no surprise that her resignation letter is more, shall we say, direct than the average two weeks’ notice.
Ms. Dreger resigned this week from Northwestern University, where she was a clinical professor of medical humanities and bioethics, a nontenured gig she’d had for the past decade. In her letter, she writes that when she started at Northwestern, the university vigorously defended her academic freedom. Now, she contends, that’s no longer the case.
What prompted her departure was the fallout over an article by William Peace, who at the time was a visiting professor in the humanities at Syracuse University. Mr. Peace wrote an essay for an issue of the journal, Atrium, that Ms. Dreger guest-edited. The essay is a frank account of a nurse who helped Mr. Peace regain his sexual function after he was paralyzed.
According to Ms. Dreger, Eric G. Neilson, vice president for medical affairs and dean of the university’s school of medicine, tried to censor portions of the essay deemed too explicit. The essay is straightforward in its description of sex, and includes multiple mentions of “the dick police,” but the purpose is to illuminate what went on in the era prior to disability rights and studies.
In her letter, Ms. Dreger writes that the university allowed the essay to be published online only after she and Mr. Peace threatened to talk publicly about what they saw as censorship. She writes that she was “disgusted that the fear of bad publicity was apparently the only thing that could move this institution to stop censorship.”
She asked the university to acknowledge that attempting to remove portions of the essay was a mistake and to promise not to do so in the future. “They never acknowledged that the censorship was real,” Ms. Dreger said in an interview. “I wanted a concrete acknowledgment and assurance that my work would not be subject to monitoring.” That, she said, would have been enough for her to remain.
The idea that institutions must acknowledge wrongdoing is central to Ms. Dreger’s academic work. It’s a theme of her recent book Galileo’s Middle Finger: Heretics, Activists, and the Search for Justice in Science, which takes to task organizations that try to stifle academic freedom or single out scholars for their provocative views.
“The idea that institutions must acknowledge wrongdoing is central to Ms. Dreger’s academic work.”
BINGO. This is so essential to a functioning, ethical society, and is something that never happens in modern America. Ever.
In case you doubt the firebrand that is Ms. Dreger, here’s an sample of one of her tweets from earlier today:
Could everybody stop calling me a bioethicist? If I were one I'd be whoring for the medical industrial complex. I'm a historian. And moral.

Well all of these perpetually offended college & university students are soon going to be at each other's throats, no longer concerned about "gender equality" and shit, just where their next few hundred calories are coming from.
College needs to begin these days with a real-life Niedermeier type barking: YOU'RE ALL WORTHLESS AND WEAK!!! NOW DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY!!!!!
Stalin and Mao must be proud they conquered American college campuses posthumously.
The (Re)education system composed of institutions of higher learning is churning out armies of 'educated' conformists who cannot think for themselves, by design.
Well yes, but it sure makes life easy for anyone who is not average. Again, the message is work smarter, don't average etc.
Same as it ever was.
Yep, except for the very real possibility of a new wave of brown shirt armies...
The Fabian methodology has proven accurate, bringing an alarming crescendo to the very present moment.
I'd suggest that it is exactly crap like this, dictatorial control disguised as political correctness attached to the state's furthering of the class and racial divides that will indeed be the historical cause clebre of the next violent revolution, which will culminate in an even greater police state.
Read Atwood's The Handmaiden's Tale.
'Nuff said.
Eat the 1% and the liberal students. Colleges have turned into Marxist breeding grounds.
Until you try to hire someone who isn't a cross eyed moron.
Look on the bright side. Even though there's "no such thing as free speech" in academia, college tuition is so much cheaper now than it was say 10, 20, 30 years ago.
(SARC)
I'd just like to offer Rutgers a little warning.
The university I attended was also a little over-the-top with political correctness and they ignored the constitution as they desired. As a student I got hassled any number of times, white male privilege being what it is.
Now I'm an alumni and a very successful one. The incessant begging for my money and my time falls on deaf ears. I simply don't believe in any of their agenda and I find it harmful to this nation, this society and families in general.
If I had my way academia in the USA would be marched off campus, into the fields and given shovels.
I know Mao would approve.
I'm with you Maltese. And knowing universities and committees as well as I do I would estimate that it took a million dollars of Alumni money to come up the this wording:
Verbal, written, physical, psychological acts that threaten or harm a person or group on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, disability, marital status, civil union status, domestic partnership status, atypical heredity or cellular blood trait, military service or veteran status.
Apparently you also didn't learn any Latin at your fine institution of higher learning. Alumnus is the masculine singular version. You can't be an "alumni." That's plural.
Any dictionary now states that alumni and alumnus are equivalent. Alumni usually referring to the male variety.
How about simply, Alum?
My alma mater just pulled it's statue of Fr. Pierre DeSmet for opressing the indians and erected a memorial for Michael Brown. Not only do they no longer get my money they don't get my children either.
And while a generalized statement, the professors and academia are suffering under the very movement they started. So tough titties.
And they sit in their parents basement wondering why they can't secure a job in the real world with their PHD in thought control. Stupid assholes go suck Obamas dick, maybe he will cancel all your school debt. But guess what? You still won't be able to get a job.
"All speech has a cost and consequences"
Yes it does - and we, as individuals, have the God-given right to leverage that fact as we see fit.
Can't wait to interview one of these...
Yep, it's all fine and dandy to ferret out which micro-aggression bothers you most, until you gotta eat.
Wait till the student loan bubble pops. After that you will again see actual teaching.
Let's hope it is fast, because I am starting to feel old when I hear each grave first world problem that comes out of this system.

"whoring for the medical industrial complex"
well.
tylers?
what is this "whoring for the medical industrial complex?"
does it involve sales reps of pharmaceuticals who show up to "network?"
zh readers need more information about this sub-culture.
and pictures.
ps. it is hipper to call it "a-whoring"
Apparently, if you work for an organization that makes a profit selling something, you are by definition a whore. Academics, on the other hand , are pure as the driven snow <eye roll>
I love it when the PC crowd feeds on itself. Fuck them all.
Challenge accepted!
"what is this "whoring for the medical industrial complex?"
does it involve sales reps of pharmaceuticals who show up to "network?"
It's not about pill-pushing. Bioethicists whoring for the medical industrial complex will churn out biased study after biased study on how surrogacy is great and harms no one, how artificial insemination is a boon to humankind, how abortion campaigns are going to save us all, how euthanasia is a "human right", how using human embryos for research or even agribusiness is perfectly ethical and can "save lives", etc.
To sum it all up, they are quack experts heftily paid by big pharma, surgeons lobbies, planned parenthood, etc, to lie through their teeth.
Whoring for the medical industrial complex by being an ethicist is being paid to claim that anything it does is ethical.
I agree with everything you say, except that suicide actually is a right and voluntary euthanasia, done by a doctor, is much more dignified than doing it yourself. Key word of course is voluntary.
And it will be a beautiful sight to behold, with a cold one in the left hand and a Gladius Escort in the right...
Workplaces are becoming just as Orwellian and it's happen rapidly. Just a couple weeks ago I and other employees had to sit through a video about how courts have rapidly been expanding the definition of a hostile workplace (discrimination against those over 40 and under 40, for example) and now even criminal penalties can result. The person hosting the video made it sound like arrest could occur for anyone who is deemed to have created a hostile work environment by offending some group. Being insensitive or offensive is now considered by the courts to be a form of workplace harassment and violence.
I call all of those diversity/sensitivity training sessions "litigation mitigation training." That's really all it is.
I've been through these before but this one was by far the most threatening.
That picture of the chicks with the zippers on their mouth just gave me a million dollar product idea.
Remember back in the 1960's, all of the anti-establishment anti-war kids? They have all turned into BIG Orwellian Government supporters now. My how times have changed.
Hillary for Prison!
Since you posted that first, here is some advice and I will personally hold off on it. Make a bumpersticker outta that. You will be a millionaire if you are quick and smart.
I've already seen it as a yard sign.
Yes, but these cock suckers are much worse. The generations before them were disciplinarians but they drew clear lines between what is resolved by the family and what is resolved by the government.
They were also not intrusive. These bastards are extremely intrusive and extremely intolerant.
They claim to be tolerant but the only thing they tolerate is views like their own, and are extremely intolerant of view that are opposite, especially if those views are what used to be the norm before they flipped it upside down.
Keep going. You'll see this starts with language. Words matter. Meanings matter. So called liberals are extremely illiberal so call them what they are. Stop using the words and bastard definitions they want you to use and take back the language. Once the things we say have honest meaning we can have an honest conversation with these kids and tell them the truth in a way that is meaningful.
If I remember, Orwell called it Newspeak.
really ? 48 upvotes? Is that how twisted the historical trail has been represented ?
The 60's hipp kids turned pro Big Bro Orwell ?
i'll be your first red
Let us name some kids who grew up in the 60s.
Bush. Clinton. Obama. Bush. Clinton.
Wanna continue?
It appears I'm not the only old codger here who needed a dictionary to decipher "Fok Julle Naaiers" as shown in the first post, so here ya go, guys:
"Afrikaans slang which loosely translates to the derogatory insult "fuck all you fuckers," or "fuck you all." Made popular by South African rap-rave group DIE ANTWOORD, but not invented by."
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fok+julle+naaiers
I'm suprised Rutgers students are allowed to receive Federally Guaranteed Student loans if they're running an Un-Constitutional shop.
I can't wait for some enterprising student to sue them for violating the 1st admn.
univision's jorge ramos agrees
Somebody must of thought your comment was a micro-aggression
This thread is riddled with micro-aggressions!
Thread triggered my GPA PTSD, Going to need 2 semesters off in Ibiza to recover paid by the local student union.
Or paid for by your "student" loan
I'm micro-concerned about micro-aggressions
What has this world come to? You can't even play a wholesome game of "the dick police" in your own dorm room.
For some people, that might be a form of micro-scopy.
now that's just MACROaggressive chrsn!
to the camp with you!
Maybe. But what those little college tulips need most is some good, ol' fashioned smack-em-in-the-skull macro-aggression so they can learn a little something about prioritizing their concerns.
...or lunch.
An excellent argument for deleting your social media footprint before entering the workforce.
Why risk it?
I spent my career in tech. I have no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin etc. At one point I worked for a private company that accumulated info on you from ALL the available sources; phone comapny, utilities, birth, death, insurance, on and on. Not only do you not want a social media footprint, you want to contact everyone and tell them you do not want them to share your information with anyone. That includes the credit rating agencies, the credit card companies, the banks/brokerages, DMV. Call them - they will know what you are talking about. You need to shut it down by yourself / for yourself. (At the same time I am on ZH - so take me with a grain of salt).
I keep my size 15 footprint as small as possible.
"The more cultured the bourgeois state, the more subtly it lied when declaring that schools could stand above politics and serve society as a whole. In fact the schools were turned into nothing but an instrument of the class rule of the bourgeoisie. They were thoroughly imbued with the bourgeois caste spirit. Their purpose was to supply the capitalists with obedient lackeys and able workers."
— Vladimir Lenin. Speech At The First All-Russia Congress On Education. 1918
Holds true today, However the people who see communists under their beds at night claim everything wrong with society is the result of leftist thinking.
Old news. New Jersey has been a constitition-free zone for decades.
Along with 49 other states I can think of right off the top of my head.
You a timbr faller?
Are you stupid? I heard there are 57 states.
BIAS Prevention faggots that's what I call em. A bundle of kindling to burn down a planet run by fascist pigs. Somebody call the police. Arrest them.
How's this: And, granted I'm from Jersy originally:
Go FUCK yourselves.
Kids, please don't waste your time and money going to college. Do just the opposite and make yourselves useful.
From what I can tell from the three places my kids are attending, this tide is turning.
Sometimes I use the word nigger at home. Just for fun. Illegal alien anchor baby nigger spic.
It's time to break out the Richard Pryor records again.
I prefer commie pinko fag bed wetting liberal.
"Report Bias"?
Maybe some kid should report Rutgers granting admission to one student yet rejecting another--a clear-cut case of bias!
The fruits of their Zion Youth upbringing.
Zion is a scheme, not an ethnicity..
yep---first you can never talk bad about a jew---holocaust and all--you know --then its the poor poor little african and of course the mexican and the islamist and the next and the next---its conditioning --plain and simple soon you can't talk about anything thats IMPORTANT --differences or things you disagree with---and thats the object of PC ---- +100 Keep up the good work
Remember: It is not about PC, humanity, civility, but about division and tyranny.
They desire us divided against each other instead of zeroing in on them, tyranny, as the criminals behind what ails us.
Zion is especially concerned to have us not unveil their fifth-column plundering, murder, and treason.
Sorry Zion, I see you, and I do not fear you or your recriminations.
Zion is a scheme, not an ethnicity..
right - cuttingthroughthematrix.com from Alan Watt covers these bases pretty well ...
HonestAnne has been pretty direct that the writing is on the wall - time to decide is time to stay or time to go
remember the Syracuse airport modifications made last year where in order to exit the airport one has to go through a sealed chamber and scanned and the door only opens when HAL has cleared you
Learn to weld...well....the world needs welders not more Womens studies majors
The way this world is trending, where ELSE can guys go to learn where to put it?
The PC thought police have a large presence in the UK too.
They are a global police force, beware.
Yeah - it's called communism.
The ultimate test of the thought police: "The Holocaust did not happen, and is a farce and criminal con job."

Well, that will keep me from being able to travel to the following nations:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel,
Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Switzerland
Watch for the same "laws" in the UK, DC US, and Canada soon.
Zion is a scheme, not an ethnicity.
"To understand who rules over you, find out who or what you cannot..."
This is what you get from a media (and by extension a media brainwashed herd of sheeple) that coddles to the feminazis and blacks and homosexuals who constantly claim prejudice every single time something negative happens to them. I am all for people not being treated like shit for simple things like who they fuck or their skin colour but it's clear people have taken this shit too far and people are crying sexism or racism or homophobia over every fucking thing and anyone who dare tells them to shut the fuck up is vilified so these rational people usually stay quiet.
Then to go with that you have the white knight pussy whipped bitch men who long lost their balls to women (pussy is not magical to justify acting like a slave to women), the white guilters who feel they need to make up for slavery close to 2 centuries ago that they didn't take part in and the hetero LGBT activists who just can't grasp most people don't give a shit about one's sexual preference yet go and imply everyone does and it just makes the whole thing twice as pathetic.
Humanity was lost long ago and it'll be funny how things are in a few decades if this shit keeps getting worse which it probably will unelss many who pretend to be all PC can't put up with the bullshit act and accept they are just talking animals with the same animal instincts and will refuse trying to act like something they naturally aren't.
"I am all for people not being treated like shit for simple things like who they fuck or their skin colour but it's clear people have taken this shit too far and people are crying sexism or racism or homophobia over every fucking thing and anyone who dare tells them to shut the fuck up is vilified so these rational people usually stay quiet."
Good post, but this "racism," "homophobia," and "sexism" stuff is just part of their active plan to divide and distract us, and keep us divided, so as to prevent us from discovering them, tyranny, as the true enemy; To prevent us from uniting against them. Do not be swayed by their propaganda--Don't drink their Kool-Aid.
The answer is to think. Think and realize that the enemy is only those aggressing against you and yours on a daily, and second by second basis, tyranny.
Additionally, a well armed and strong citizenry should not allow themselves to be duped into fearing some niggers, homos, or feminazis anyways--Are we mice, or well armed Americans; Lions?
Read Sun Tzu's The Art of War, as our enemies are following it in their war against us, and we need to follow it in our war against them.
Zion is a scheme, not an ethnicity..
Allowing the enemy to dictate who the enemy is, is a lot like running from a spider in a tree, and then stepping on a snake--ignore the spider in the tree, and keep looking for snakes.
this shit has gotten out of hand with the last potus ----his travon crap lit me off--so I've decided every time anyone comments anything PC about another's opinon I call them BS and let go with a litany of racist profanity in a knee jerk diatribe as a sort of slap in the face to the PC commenter ---I get a lot of down votes ---it's kind of a badge of honor----
" (pussy is not magical to justify acting like a slave to women)"
You got that right, pal.
excellent loregnum - however, the wave of PC that you mention observing is blowback from the population as a whole and the white caucasians in the US for overlooking the weakness and unjustness of the prohibition laws. It cannot be overstated that the because the consciousness-expanding nutrient plants/drugs/medicines/inebriants have been outlawed, those operating as human are most likely matrix sheeple as the programming within the matrix has been fairly successful thus far ... however, seems like a general consensus that the likelihood of a near-term reset/change of significance is greater than 50/50.
Like others have pointed out the agenda to remove the 2nd amendment rights seems to be playing out like clockwork, week after week ... can we communicate better with the people in our lives ?
The pussification of the US of No Way continues down the death spiral
I live very close to rutgers....this is incredibly true. its a cool area for bars and food but the kids are whacked out of their skulls with this PC shit. I'm not old but it definitely was not like this when i was at college. I have no idea what happened in the last 20 years
also, i cannt wait for my kids to tell me they want to be plumbers or electricians. fuck college
Take it from me - steer them towards 'electrician'.
Is plumbing too shitty of a job?
No, it's a good job but there is shit involved.
Banking is a shitty job and they have to like to suck cock also.
I think only the smart blue-collar types should go for being an electrician. You have to at least be smart enough not to fry yourself after all. Plumbers on the other hand. . .
Lets just say I just had a plumbing job at my place fail inspection because the retard doing the work didn't put in a P-trap on the shower drain - just a straight pipe. JFC.
If this is the "college experience" anymore, just be a plumber.
If they are going to be plumbers or electricians you need to have them take spanish in high school.
Spanish speakers are quickly moving into the plumbing arena and have made inroads into electricians (not high voltage). Too many have been pushed into welding and now the pay sucks as well.
Just have them talk to the average worker bee's, not the owners, or their chosen trade and have them ask about certain employee trends and not just pay scale.
I tell people it is good to learn a "trade" as backup unless you can become the owner of a small company doing it.
My alma mater. **sigh**
At least in my time which was only a few years ago, the school wasn't politically active. It also was ranked as one of the least most politically active schools in the country. I suppose things have changed.. They barely got the anti-Iraq war protests off the ground there in '07., then it was the "nappy-headed hoes" incident with the women's basketball coach, then the gay guy that jumped off the George Washington Bridge cause someone filmed him without consent engaging in sex. During those years there were big budget cuts and a few departments closed and professors got laid off. Again I say, things have changed.
Two thoughts:
1. It takes one million micro-aggressions to equal a whole aggression, so save yourself the effort and tell them: "Kindly fuck right off with your nonsense." You'll be saving yourself a whole lot of time and them a whole lot of effort moving goalposts and attempting to reconcile their own logical fallacies.
2. If this thinking paradigm were an accident, it would have already been identified as such and corrected.
Just listened to a presenter, she said someone made a sexist remark because they assumed she didnt kill the taxidermied animal present. Nevermind the assumption was made since men are the vast majority of hunters.
I once saw an adjunct not get his contract renewed after students complained that he exposed them to “offensive” texts written by Edward Said and Mark Twain. His response, that the texts were meant to be a little upsetting, only fueled the students’ ire and sealed his fate.
What kind of education is it when you are never forced to think? The appropriate response for the university in this case would be to expell the student as obviously he/she is not intelligent enought to attend.
I was thinking more along the lines of a dick punch - if they have one.
This is what the left does - they hate the truth and anything that resembles it.
Why you ask? The truth exposes them for what they are; greedy, dangerous, controlling bastards - and that's their good qualities.
Really? You think its only the "left" huh? Amazing. Yeah, the conservatives are just awesome - especially like the part where they lie, cheat and steal - and that's their best qualities, killing anyone that isn't a white Christian is their very best quality...DW
Really? Another amazingly racist and demented post by theTribster (aka Bryce Williams aka Vester Flanagan) who only targets white Christians. That's what gaynazis on meth do.
Stay on topic there Juice, academia is a wholly owned susidiary of the left and they are digging their own grave with this pc shit. "Useful Idiots" I believe is the term..
The oh so precarious world of university professorship? I have sold in a straight commission job starting every month at zero income for 24 years. You want to spend a month riding with me on average 2800 miles in big city traffic with tolls to all my sales calls? Available from 9 AM to 8 Pm M-F. 9 AM to 4 Pm on Saturday? I will help you redefine the word precarious employment . 1099. All expenses mine. All SS $ mine.
Grow the F up and look around you from your coddled ivory towers. I get paid to get people to yes, period. Your type make me sick. Before the down arrows start I am college degreed Magna Cum Laude. Paid every penny out of pocket and doing jobs in many cases most now claim Americans won't do including 4 months on a beef slaughterhouse kill floor.
If our jobs were all paid based on performance we would have 140 million not in the workforce. Grow the F up and quit whining. The world owes no one a living . If that offends any one so be it.
I think if you look at the background of said professors you'd find a lack of solid world experience in most fields. The loftiness of their positions and pay accentuates their distorted self worth. Since they only fraternize with each other, their worlds are never challenged.
I can't say my college experience was useless but I must admit the grand majority of my training was on job. College provided a foundational understanding but working in the real world was more important in my career.
I was most appreciative to have had the experience of a Classical Education and had to defend my premises and respond to criticism well. College is supposed to teach you how to think not indoctrinate. I had countless times in the stacks coming up with rebuttals to criticisms made by professors. Sadly, I see so many college kids today just being asked to regurgitate facts which is just a waste of time. They seems so pliant when college should be a time to question status quo, forge new paths and arguing presentations not blindly accepting a professor's interpretation.
However, I've lost a few jobs being a rabble rouser so what do I know.
Miffed
Craziness only gets this far because far too many are too eager to equivocate and apologize (for doing nothing wrong), rather than getting a spine and saying rather non-politely: FUCK OFF AND DIE... Followed by a swift elbow to the jaw...
Most of higher education is still based on an antiquated model developed when books were books and knowledge were in short supply. With today's technology knowledge is widely available and should be nearly free, but instead it increases in cost 10% every year and turns out too many semi-literate grads (just read some of their resumes) with useless degrees and feeds the P.C. monster in the process. If ever there was a time to revolutionize the education process it is now.
Anyone that sends their kid to a college that does not condone free speech is a nutcase.
It's not about education or flexing the student's brain muscle to become stronger. It's about indoctrination, nothing more. University staff go home every night self-satisfied with the knowledge that they mind-raped another few hundred skulls over the course of the day.
Don't worry Chris Christie will get right on this.
I can't wait to read about the jobsearch results of these twits after they graduate. Maybe this is the reason so many are having trouble getting work now. They spend so much time and energy being offended that they forgot to get an education, even as it was being offered to them.
Life is just so unfair!
Man, the "You Suck" Primus T-Shirt I used to wear to fuck with the other students when I finished tests early (printed in bold black letters on the back, so they'd see it as they looked up) would not go over well today.
Liberal? Fuck, stop being a pussy and just say COMMUNIST!
We've read this before, here. Reruns?
Am I the only one who remembers the same miffed college professor, with the same complaint, about offending some over-sensitive (I'd say fellow, but that might be insensitive to the gals, oops, females, trans, gays and celibates).
Sky is blue. Water is wet. Universities are run by Maoists. So let's throttle the surprise back a bit, Mike.
The USA is DEAD. Killed by its own citizens, or should we say Zombies?!
Dual citizens in elected positions = A Silent Coup. See all the gravestones of those who died fighting this? Assasins killed American politicians trying to save this century-long disaster in the making.

give it back to the Apaches.
funny hearing AJ refer to them as "self-propelled stomach zombies"
I think a little document called the Constitution of the United States of America might have a different opinion..
Take a look at the circumstances under which the CONstituitional CONvention took place as well as the outcome of it.

Articles of Confederation FTW!
Michael Savage had it right ages ago... these are not institutions of higher learning, they are institutions of lower living.
Then:
I think, therfore I am
Now:
I don't think, therefore I am offended.
Chris Rock is a moron. They're not become "too conservative", they're becoming good little collectivists.
It's not so much that he's a moron; he's actually pretty bright. But he dare not speak out against any aspect of Cultural Marxism, or his access to the Hollywood gravy train will be revoked immediately.
EVERYTHING bad must always be framed in terms of 'conservative.' Anyone who (rightly) ties the narrow-mindedness of today's generation to the Marxist worldview which caused it will be bodily flung from the top of Olympus.
And he knows it. That's why he says "conservative" and then backpedals and describes 'progressive' whiners to a T.
Fortunately, I do believe the tide is turning against Cultural Marxism. It's turning slowly, for sure. But a growing number of people are simply fed the fuck up with it. Unfortunately, the weak-willed and weak-minded, who eat that shit up with a spoon by nature, are basically going to have to be beaten into surrender, in one way or another.
Step one is to get the Cultural Marxists out of positions of power: elected office, journalism and education at all levels. The main obsticle is that psychopaths and sociopaths hunger for power over others in a way that normal humans simply cannot. We've got to come up with a way for humans to overwhelmingly prevail against the pathological when competing for these and other 'power' positions.
reminds me of the book farenheit 451
yes - just read about the Berkeley public library trashing like 3x books more than previous years... people complaining, but it's done. Same across the country, gradually replace certain books with more PC friendly books ...
Could an algo go through the amazon ebook catalog and rewrite stories, eliminating-changing people, places, dates, etc. ? probably
Few understand the influence of the Neocons in our government who are behind the “political correctness” movement.
The agenda of these fascists pervade our news, movies and education. It all goes back to fascists like grand daddy Prescott Bush during WW2 who was charged with financing Hitler through his Wall St Union Bank.
After WW2 many SS and top Gestapo agents like Reinhard Ghelen, were secretly emigrated and employed in our new CIA in 1947 under the secret Operation Paper Clip.
Most sheeple don’t know or don’t want to know about the fascists in our government because in the famous words of Jack Nickolson, they “can’t handle the truth”.
This group of secret fascists were the seed of our current Neocon Political Movement led by George Bush sr & jr, Rumsfeld, Cheney and several think tanks such as the Project for the New American Century (PNAC).
These are the fascists that wrote about needing “A new pearl harbor” a year before 9-11. A false-flag terror event that stood down individual liberties and cemented their death-grip control over America.
The political correctness movement of these neo-nazis revolves around protecting and expanding minority populations.
Few Americans understand the political control mechanism known as Balkanization, a pejorative geopolitical term, originally used to
describe the process of fragmentation or division of a region or state into smaller regions or states that are often hostile or non-cooperative with one another.
It’s basically a divide and conquer strategy by building up competing and conflicting groups you lessen the chance of one majority challenging your dominance.
Challenging the dominance of the ruling class was described in Ms Dreger’s Galileo’s Middle Finger as Galileo was accused of being a heretic for asserting that the earth revolved around the sun. As I said in an earlier piece.
“Interesting that Galileo was suppressed by the church not for his new beliefs about the sun and the earth. He was declared a heretic because his beliefs didn't come through the church and came through his own reasoning.
The ruling class that controlled the Vatican at the top, feared an individual's reasoning and critical thinking skills.
Their greatest threat was critical and clear thinking people that cared to investigate and remove the political and religious parasites feeding off the public's wealth, that represented the source of their power.”

Exactly.
And yes, the fascists - who are merely Marxists who use nationalism instead of globalism - are at the heart of the problem.
But so are the 'progressives' at the heart of the problem because really, it's all the same collectivist, elitist, parasitic shit.
Thank you
Say hi to Vlad, Da!
