Close, but it's much worse. They are parasites. They have been a serious drag on prosperity. They funded 2 world wars that killed millions. They have funded the contrived conflicts since WW2. They have funded corporate 'offshoring' since US debt went super nova in August 1971(closing of the gold window). The US industrial base has been hollowed out thanks to them. Now, they are funding tens of millions of idle feeders to buy the cheap Chinese garbage at Wally World instead of doing anything useful. This makes China stronger while atrophying the US economy further. They've made the US into a paper tiger that can be destroyed with a bucket of water!

Maybe so, but in the roughly 10,000 years of human civilization, central banks were around for what, 400? Great wonders have been achieved without CBs and with.
As far as I have been able to research online, there were no banks in North America prior to the American Revolution.
There were some wealthy, large corporations that threw their weight around, but no chartered banks.

We didn't have a government until 1787. Any banks belonged to the crown. The term corporation would be incorrect for the time period.
The war of 1812 was to gain conroll over the banking system.

Ok corporation was my term, officially they were called companies, like the Virginia Company, the Plymouth Company, the London Company, etc.

The nations/countries are sanctioned for not playing the game of Monopoly. Corruption is fed through the nipple of a baby bottle. The suffering of the people as a result of the attempt at protectionism/isolationism cannot be overstated. This central bank, as it stands, is based on manipulation and punishment. We can do better than this banking system and you goddamn well know it.

Upon reviewing its history one sees and endless succession of panics, crashes, depressions, and recessions all of which were the reasons that the central bank was created to prevent. My Dad was a landlord one time until he got rtoyally screwed over by a tenant for $18,000. Took a loss on selling his two properties also. Not as easy [and safe] as you think! An individual can't transfer his losses to the Fed either.

(On a side note, do you realize that private conveyances are not technically sublect to licensing requirements, and individuals not using vehicles for commercial purposes [passengers for hire, paid salaries for transportation of goods] are not technically required to get 'drivers' licenses' for the same reason?)
