The big bounce I would expect is going to be the Fed. No change in rates, large bounce. If they drop the rate the last quarter point it will be a very large bounce. It is not numerically significant but symbolically it is.
Remember, in the modern market, bad news is good news. A rate drop means the economy is bad or in severe danger. That is bullish for stocks or stock investors.

I've made out with decent gains the past week by just reversing positions at the close. Makes me nervous as hell to hold a position overnight. I've been reducing the size of the positions gradually because I know one day it won't reverse, it'll just bite the dust. Can't enter without a reasonable stop-limit though, that's for damn sure.
Longs up X% near close? Sell it at the close and go short. (next day) Shorts up X% near close? Sell it and go long...
