Caught On Tape: Donald Trump Asked About Libertarianism

Reason’s editor in chief Nick Gillespie recently caught up with Donald Trump on the campaign trail and asked him about libertarianism. This is what ensued:
This exchange is troubling from several different angles.
First off, Trump does his typical dance in which he avoids questions he doesn’t want to answer by giving a simplistic jingoistic response.
He is clearly uncomfortable with the question. Why?
Overall, the above exchange is kind of unnecessary since it’s abundantly clear Trump is anti-liberty and anti-freedom.
Let’s recall what he said should be done with Edward Snowden. From a Washington Times story in 2013:
Edward Snowden, the man at the heart of the NSA information leaks, is nothing but a “traitor” — and America ought to recreate history in dealing with him, real estate mogul Donald Trump said on a “Fox & Friends” interview.
In other words, execute him, Mr. Trump implied.
“I think Snowden is a terrible threat, I think he’s a terrible traitor, and you know what we used to do in the good old days when we were a strong country — you know what we used to do to traitors, right?”

Trump is an absolute insider and establishment figure playing his role. People who think they would show the estasblishment the middle finger by voting Trump are mistaken. Sadly the only possible protest vote in the US today is no vote. That does not mean Trump would necessarily be all bad. I believe people can rise to the occasion when put in a certain position and do better than expected.
If Trump gets nominated, Hillary's chances will be really slim. The guy has created a macho image with a hint of sexism that will make a "battle of the sexes" interpretation of a Trump-Hillary standoff unavoidable. Hillary can hardly win such a struggle from her position as a potential first female US president. I think that's why they are talking about Biden now. Gotta fight fire with fire.
I'm still backing Trump. He's the only one taking an aggressive stance in illegal aliens.

He won't be stopped. He called Fiorina ugly today, and people won't care. They know that every other republican will fold in the face of opposition if they are elected; we get a continued slide into statism. That MIGHT not happen under Trump, which is the best odds we've had at the ballot box in my lifetime (I'm 48).
Trump is something like a king, insofar as he has a very visible empire that he will want to maintain after he is elected. That is one of the benefits of monarchy, the monarch is more inclined to stewardship. That's why the border wall will get built, which is why he will be elected.
And building the wall changes everything, most importantly the attitude of Americans: many will understand that real change in the right direction is possible. That is why we see so much 'sheepishness' - it's not that people don't care (the reaction to Trump's candidacy shows many still do) it's that pre-Trump, they didn't think anything they did would matter.

If Trump screws up, then he has a lot to lose financially and I think this will keep him in line. We know what we are getting due to his public life unlike the current president where every fact about his life has been hidden. We have $7 trillion in new debt and nothing to show for it.

I do not have a solid iron ore price for you unless you mean Harley Iron. I was out at the stealership yesterday to buy a few things and I made the mistake of bringing Mrs. M with. $400 later and three hours later...I think I got off cheap since I didn't buy her a birthday present. In that case, it is $40K+ for some of those bikes and will run you $10K for a used up something or other. I have to admit that I am in love with Heritage Softail. This one is 2013 in this short video. There actually IS a motorcycle in the video if you look closely. The stock exhaust on that bike, not her, has to go to the dumpster right away and that will cost a shit ton more even if you do it yourself.
I guess some people are not into the lifestyle but I am guessing that you Yen Cross could probably afford both of those women. I give credit for marketing strategy.
