Remembering 9/11: The Wolf In 'Patriot Act' Sheep's Clothing

This is a piece I wrote last year for Ron Paul’s Voices of Liberty. Now although mainstream media has all but put a gag order on 9/11 memorial coverage, I believe this article’s message has never been more relevant and so I’m posting again at what is obviously poignant time. I find it odd that we have 10 Hollywood blockbusters made each year about the holocaust 75 years on, but only 14 years after the event American media will no longer discuss 9/11, even upon the anniversary. It is perhaps the most telling phenomenon about the secretiveness and mystery surrounding the horrific tragedy.
It was the sixth week of my first job fresh out of college. I was still eagerly excited for each new day. Having moved stateside from a small town in Canada to finish up university and then on to the big city of Chicago, I was still in awe of America. I was working in the north building of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on the corner of Madison and Wacker. It was early morning and I was on the phone with Paul Salvio from our New York office when...
...the phone went dead.
The day was September 11, 2001. Our New York office was on the 92nd floor of the World Trade Center Tower 1. None of the employees who had arrived to work that day survived. It is a moment that elicits strong emotions within me to this day and I know I’m not alone.
In the days and weeks that followed, while the world came together to mourn those lost and to condemn those responsible, our policymakers in Washington were working feverishly to find opportunity in this tragedy. Forty-five days after 9/11, President Bush signed into law the U.S. Patriot Act.
The implication of the ironically titled bill is well described by a report published in March 2009 by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The report, called “Reclaiming Patriotism,” suggests that the Patriot Act “fundamentally altered the relationship Americans share with their Government.”
Politicians took advantage of a moment of extreme duress for the American people to push through a bill that not only breached the spirit of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights but also directly contradicts the rights guaranteed under the 1st and 4th Amendments. The Patriot Act gave powers to the executive branch of our government it was never meant to have. Such restriction of powers was mandated by the founding fathers through the legal framework of which this nation is governed; a legal framework of which each legislator is sworn to uphold upon taking office.
The ACLU’s 2009 report provides an interesting and unintended perspective on the fundamental dangers of the Patriot Act because it was published prior to revelations made by National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden. Note the following excerpt from the ACLU 2009 report:
“Worse, it authorizes the government to engage in this expanded domestic spying in secret, with few, if any, protections built in to ensure these powers are not abused, and little opportunity for Congress to review whether the authorities it granted the government actually made Americans any safer.” ?
But such fears were repeatedly calmed by those who were handed the authority over and entrusted with such powers.
And so, we see, concerns about Patriot Act abuses at the time of the ACLU report were only hypothetical and thus easily and reassuringly refuted by those in charge of the surveillances being done under the authority of the Patriot Act.
And then Edward Snowden entered the room...
Snowden revealed that not only were the very abuses predicted by the ACLU taking place but they were part of a larger and well defined strategy that had been intentionally hidden from the American people.
Many of the surveillance programs revealed by Snowden are part of subsequent legislative bills that fall under the umbrella and authority of rights granted by the Patriot Act. In a sense it has become the “Pandora’s box” against the rights and freedoms of the American people. Since the Patriot Act opened the floodgates, we’ve had a steady stream of bills further expanding the (illegal) powers to those in charge.
The claims that these programs are unlawful are not simply laymen opinion. Several courts across the nation have heard various cases and determined that many aspects of the programs are in breach of the U.S. Constitution. ? Yet, no one has been prosecuted and the programs under the Patriot Act not only continue but are expanding.
History and common sense tell us that those in power will always attempt to beget more power. Several independent studies prove that these programs have very little impact on protecting Americans from terrorism while the Snowden leaks evidence the wide abuses taking place for political motivations. The Patriot Act has become the enemy it claims necessitates its existence. It is the most prolific form of terrorism against the American citizenry (and many of our allies) today.
The argument so often touted by beneficiaries of the Patriot Act is that trading freedom for safety is an acceptable trade. That argument is not only invalid it is unsound. Freedom and safety are not mutually exclusive and even if they were the slippery slope aspect of such way of thinking makes it a false proposition. If you haven’t done so, you must fully examine the Snowden revelations to comprehend the extent of the tyranny authorized and enacted by the Patriot Act and its subsidiary Acts.
Let me bring this to a sharp point for any who have yet to feel it—a terrible thing happened to this nation on 9/11 that none of us expected ever would. We felt vulnerable for maybe the first time within the borders of our nation, the strongest nation on this earth. It changed many of us in very profound ways. At that point, in that moment, all we wanted to feel is that it would and that it could never happen again. And so we entrusted our leaders to work together on implementing policies that would ensure our freedom be safe from those who want to take it from us.
The Patriot Act was sold to Americans as a shield to defend our freedom, that it was to ensure our rights as guaranteed by our constitution and the Bill of Rights would be safe from evildoers. However, the sad reality is that our leaders took our moment of need as an opportunity to further enhance the powers of the state over the power of the people. We know this now thanks to some incredibly brave and heroic Americans like Snowden who gave up their individual freedom to defend the freedom of a nation. It is on the rest of us now to stand up to the tyranny of those whose interests are narrow and selfish and whose lies and deceit represent the most monumental and immediate threat to our freedom.

Never forget....there is no safety, individually or in numbers. Once we come to terms with that, we can all live free. Every action we take to impose ourselves onto others in an effort to adjust our odds, only increases our ultimate risk of oppression. One's self is the only security we have and should need. Lets work on that, rather than calculating ways in which to lever the power of the collective to our favor.
Was traveling home yesterday from a fun trip to Kentucky, and going through the airport I always "Opt Out" of those X-Ray Machines. When you "Opt Out" of these machines in the airport, the TSA (T-housands S-tanding A-round) get all excitied and like to try and make you a specticle so the other sheep will go through the scanner quickly and not cause friction. They yell on their communicator so everyone can see and here... "We have a male Opt Out...We have a male Opt Out" and they make you stand in front of everyone and wait for another TSA agent to take you over for the "Pat Down" area. They always have to say a paragraph to you that basically states "We are going to touch your balls as we go inside your thigh". A TSA (T-ake S-cissors A-way) agent was standing next to me (65 year old woman) and under her breath she said "I am always shocked when parents allow their kids to go through that thing.....my supervisor says they are safe, but I don't trust'em." I quickly said "Why is it when you get X-Rayed at the dental office they put a lead vest on your chest, and they leave the room and go in a safe room when they pull the trigger" She said.."Your Right...the government always lies to us." Then I had to say it......"Do you believe 3 buildings fell from jet fuel?" She looked at me...smiled...said "Absolutely not.." It was like a scene out of a movie. We are so screwed. See you in the re-education camp.
When people go along with the big lie, while knowing it's a lie, the hook is set deeper. It's one thing to fool someone and it's another thing to go along knowing one has been fooled. Why would these criminals feel any restraint at all? They don't. We are all paying this price.

My definition of God has always been 'what happens'. Sometimes we like it, sometimes we don't, but whatever happened is God's will. It's a lot simpler definition than that found in the religions based off of Abraham. I like simplicity.

SofaPopa, I do NOT regard your comment as being "way off topic," but rather, as penetrating deeper into the radical center of the topic of 9/11.
My view is that "God" is approached by the principle of the conservation of energy and momentum, and the preservation of information as a form of energy. However, the biggest bullies' bullshit world view has suppressed that, by inverting the concept of entropy, so that we are taught to misunderstand things in the most absurdly backward ways possible. (An arbitrary minus sign was inserted into the entropy equations of thermodynamics and information theory, in order that those would continue to be presented in ways which were consistent with the biggest bullies' bullshit world views.)
I recommend intellectual scientific revolutions, that then apply to political science, as the ways to attempt to cope with the intense paradoxes that develop when one more fully recognizes how and why governments are necessarily the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals. Those kinds of paradigm shifts may be asymptotically approached through creative synthesis of post-modernizing science with ancient mysticism.
The most intense ironies are due to the degree that the progress in physical science has deliberately NOT been followed by progress in political science. Of course, one can readily comprehend how and why that is the case after one recognizes that governments ENFORCE FRAUDS by privately controlled banks, and therefore, the systems of debt slavery are backed by wars based on deceits.
I have found that the more one studies 9/11, and the monetary systems, the more those overlap, especially as one attempts to approach the pyramidion people at the top of the current social pyramid systems. It is NOT an accident that, in order to believe in the official story about 9/11, one has to deliberately ignore basic physics. Similarly, it is not any accident that the established monetary systems demand that the vast majority of people deliberately ignore the principle of the conservation of energy, as well as misunderstand the concept of entropy in absurdly backwards ways.
The established social systems are based upon ENFORCING FRAUDS. For generation after generation, the vast majority of people have adapted to living inside of those kinds of systems based upon some people controlling other people by backing up deceits with destruction. The results are that we are living inside of Wonderland Matrix Bizarro Worlds. Previously, those manifested as various old-fashioned state religions. Now, the two dominate, integrated, state religions in the USA, and around the world, today are the monetary system and national security. Both are based on sophisticated systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence.
The deeper problems are due to the social successfulness achieved through backing up lies with violence never stops those lies from still being false. Therefore, society as a whole becomes more psychotically out of touch with physical realities, due to the development of psychological and political habits based upon the long history of pyramid schemes ENFORCING FRAUDS. The world we are living in now is almost totally dominated by the best available professional liars and immaculate hypocrites.
Ideally, we should develop more genuine spirituality, and more people should understand the basic principles of philosophy. However, all of the dominate social systems are effective STATE RELIGIONS BASED ON ENFORCING FRAUDS. Therefore, instead of reconciling progress in mathematical physics through matching progress in metaphysics, the technologies made possible due to progress in physics have ended up being developed to become globalized systems of electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs.
Similarly, very sophisticated technology was used during the events that happened on 9/11/2001, which included scientifically advanced psychological and political techniques. So far, those have been quite successful in starting more genocidal wars, as well as preparing to impose democidal martial law. Meanwhile, tragically, there is almost no publicly significant opposition to that, other than controlled opposition which stays within the same deceitful frame of reference regarding the basic ways that human beings operate their death control systems.
The degree to which the State Religions are dominate includes the degree to which there is almost no publicly significant opposition to those which is not also controlled, and especially controlled by the ways that they think, which they tend to continue to take completely for granted. The following observation applies quite thoroughly to all of the people who point out some superficial analysis regarding the established systems being operated by professional hypocrites, in ways which actually accomplish the opposite of what they stated that they were supposed to be doing, as expressed on Zero Hedge by Cognitive Dissonance:
"The absolute best controlled opposition is one that doesn't know they are controlled."
In my view, more genuine spirituality and appreciation of the fundamental principles of philosophy is necessarily INTENSELY PARADOXICAL, as expressed by the challenges presented when attempting creative syntheses between post-modernizing science with ancient mysticism. The existence of globalized electronic frauds, backed by the threat of force from atomic bombs, depends upon the existence of quantum mechanics, and the special theory of relativity, ETC.. The mathematical physics those are based upon necessarily approaches the world views of ancient mysticism. However, at the same time, the established social pyramid systems require that the vast majority of people either deliberately ignore those, or deliberately misunderstand those in the most absurdly backward ways possible.
Believing the official story regarding the events on 9/11 requires one to deliberately ignore relatively common sense basic physics. That is one of the most spectacular symbols of the more hyper-complicated ways that the entire political economy is based upon STATE RELIGIONS ENFORCING FRAUDS. In my view, many people would rather continue to promote ridiculous presentations of basic physics (such as the many down voted comments and replies above), rather than suffer through the severe cognitive dissonance that it takes to comprehend that 9/11 was an inside job, false flag attack, whereby the ruling classes developed their power to "protect us," despite them actually being our worst enemies. (Presumably, some of those posting comments and replies that deliberately ignored basic physics are somehow benefiting from continuing to uphold the Huge Lies regarding 9/11, etc.?)
I believe that one can understand how natural selection pressures developed through the history of warfare to become the established systems where the human artificial selection systems are based upon the maximum possible deceits and frauds. However, in my view, in order to more completely do that, one has to attempt to grapple with the ways that: "The absolute best controlled opposition is one that doesn't know they are controlled."
The biggest bullies' bullshit world view has been built into the dominate natural languages and philosophy of science, to the degree that it is extremely difficult to avoid thinking in ways based upon that bullshit world view, and even more difficult to attempt to communicate in ways which are not biased by implicit beliefs in that bullshit. The fundamental problem continues to be progress in physical science, without that being surpassed by progress in political science. The political problems surrounding 9/11 are the most spectacular symbols of that, inasmuch as the official story about what happened IS physically impossible to be correct, and yet, those Huge Lies continue to be socially dominate, as they were originally promoted by the mass media, and so on and so forth ...
While the patterns of comments and votes on Zero Hedge demonstrate that the majority of those doing that recognize the official stories regarding 9/11 are physically impossible, the real world continues to actually be controlled by systems based upon ENFORCING FRAUDS. 9/11 was done by the ruling classes, in order to advance their systems of debt slavery backed by wars based on deceits. Those systems of debt slavery have already generated numbers which have become debt insanities, which threaten to provoke death insanities. The ruling classes are carrying through their agenda by having done 9/11 in order to start more genocidal wars, as well as prepare to impose democidal martial law. By far the easiest way to avoid that bullshit: tell them that you can't raise your arms above your head due to an injury. All of a sudden, the metal detector opens up and you go through that with a hand swab.

Bud, there are so many smoking guns when it comes to 9/11 which all can see and thankfully most are caught on video.
You start with the no-brainer: WTC 7, then you go from there.
Once you get WTC 7 falling by controlled demolition, then very easily you get to the Twin Towers falling that way as well. Although the evidence is very clear that the Twin Towers fell by controlled demolition, people in their minds may make a distinction between the Twin Towers and WTC 7 because the Towers were "hit" by the "commercial airplanes", That is why WTC 7 is so critical. When combined with the multiple video evidence of first responders with respect to explosions going off in the buildings, I do not see how any reasonable open minded person could believe otherwise.
Then there is Shanksville. Very clearly there is no plane based on the pictures and particularly when factoring in the first people and reporters who arrived at the scene who said there was no evidence of a plane crash, no bodies, nothing, although there was a "hole" in the ground.
Then there is the Pentagon, the most protected airspace in the world, which wsa "hit" by a "commercial aircraft", although the CNN reporter on the scene when first reporting said "there is nothing that would indicate that a plane hit the Pentagon".
Then there is everything else: The mock hijacking drills scheduled that day; Cheney and Pinetta's inconsistent stories about what went on that day; Donald Rumsfeld on the Pentagon lawn being videoed assisting with a victim when he was the only one with authority to give certain orders to the military and they couldn't get a hold of him. I am forgetting a ton of stuff.
The "Official Story" of 9/11 requires one to believe so many individually improbable (and in the case of the falling bulildings, impossible) things, any one of which is difficult. But when they are all combined together, the "Official Story" is clearly not the best explanation of what occurred that day.

I'm not a controlled demolition expert...but, I am a professionally chartered civil engineer with 9 years of tertiary, vocational education and over 20 years experience designing, constructing, maintaining and renewing civil structures and infrastructure.
There is no doubt that WTC 1, 2 and 7 were brought down by controlled demolition. Any one who attempts to tell you otherwise just insulted you.
Further, there is no doubt that the Pentagon was NOT hit by a 757 (a Tomahawk missile more like it).
As for Shankesville...there was no plane debris, let alone blood (according to the coroner at the scene).

You can blow up a building but bringing one down on itself is an art that takes careful planning.
That is not entirely accurate. Progressive collapse mechanism can in fact operate in the manner we saw. These large structures are in fact very weak at any individual connection or member. It is the sum of the parts that creates a strong enough frame. With enough damage and falling mass, it is possible to have a "pancake" sort of collapse.
Again, a bunch of people on websites pretending to be engineers and demolition experts is a waste of energy. It gets people debating the physics of the crime instead of the "who." The American people, instead of demanding answers about "who", are divided in the lesser details.

No way a 1200 foot tall mast of reinforced concrete extending down to the bedrock, can fall and the height of the rubble from it's collapse be no higher than street level.)

The crater shaped rubble pile of WTC 1 and 2 is impossible to explain thermodynamically by a gravity collapse or structural failure scenario. In fact, the presence of a crater shaped rubble pile necessarily and sufficiently proves that explosive charges were set off deep within WTC 1 and 2 resulting in most of the building's structure being thrown laterally outward. The close spacing of the explosives charges on each floor, separated by air gaps, created shockwaves that pulverized most of the concrete in midair- see page 266 of this reference:

Although the WTC 1 and 2 tower blue prints have now been made 'classified', they were leaked out a few years ago, by somebody concerned that the NIST model of the buldings had purposefully left out the important center mast design element in each tower. Each tower had a 15 by 20 foot rectangular mast made of reinforced concrete and extending 1200 feet up. The mast was a novel design feature of the time, needed to dampen oscillations that would occur if just 1200 foot tall steel columns ran up the building. Each mast contained more concrete that all the floors combined and was located dead center in the middle of the footprint of the buildings. The Sears tower and other towers over 1000 feet have had to use the same mast design to dampen oscillations. (The Empire state building had outer walls of concrete like masonry that function to dampen oscillations, but the WTC design put this stiffening element on the inside and made it a weight bearing structure as well, carrying 20% of the weight)

The shape of the WTC 1 rubble pile is crater like, as if a mammoth charge of dynamite blew the building out along it's vertical axis. A few scraggily walls bend backward, appearing as if they were blown back from explosive charges in the center of the towers, because they were. The towers basement was only 60 feet deep. Normally there should be a "hill shaped" pile of rubble following a pancake collapse due to structural failure, and the center of the rubble pile should be about 100 feet above street level, 1 foot per floor. However the shape of the WTC rubble pile is crater like, or 'bowl like', and impossible thermodynamically to occur from the collapse of the tower. The mammoth weight of the 1200 foot tall concrete mast located dead center in the tower's footprint would have made certain that the rubble pile would be hill shaped and not crater shaped.
In contrast, WTC 7 was 640 feet tall and had a 40 foot deep basement, not proportionately different from the towers, yet it's rubble pile was hill shaped, as expected in a gravity collapse

WTC 7 was demolitioned normally, probably because as it was not built over the 16 acre concrete bathtub that WTC 1 and 2 were built over, falling chunks would not endanger damaging the walls of the bathtub and letting the Hudson flow into the tunnels beneath lower Manhattan. Also if the towers were allowed to gravity collapse by explosives placed to remove supports as in a normal demolition, the cleanup of the asbestos and debris would have shut down lower Manhattan for months. So the perps of 911 thoroughly demollished WTC 1 and 2 on purpose, pulverizing them into mostly dust, by using many more explosives, separated by air gaps arragned to pulverize the concrete core and each floor, flinging material outward in a spherical shape, that spread out over a radius of 1 km. A reporter asked Govenor Pataki the next day why there was so little rubble present where the had stood towers and his response was that it had turned to a 3 inch layer of dust from river to river.

Only when Salem gave his 600 or so audio tapes of his conversations with the FBI to the judge and defense attorneys in the case, did the whole false flag operation get burried. The Parkland doctors have now said that the JFK had an entry wound just above the right eye, but for years they were warned by their chief to go along with the phony government autopsy. Johnson had the SS draw guns on the docs who initially refused to let them take JFK's body away, before it could be autopsied in Dallas as the law demanded. Johnson had to have the body on his plane and fly out immediately so that the autopsy was under the CIA and his control. Similarly the wtc rubble was carted away before any analysis could be made. But the CRATER SHAPED RUBBLE PILE GIVE THE ENTIRE LIE AWAY ALL BY ITSELF!!!!

Thanks Rusty. The photos of ground zero are crime scene photos that tell what type of weapon was used to murder 3000 people that day. The type of core isn't critical regarding proving that the towers were blown up. What is critical is the presence of the crater shaped rubble pile. I don't believe WTC 7 had a concrete core, yet it has a hill shaped rubble pile and so should have WTC 1 and 2; if they had a concrete core as opposed to a steel tube core, then obviously more explosive forces would have to be used to blow out this weight, but it wouldn't change the basic argument. The crater shaped rubble pile of wtc 1, whose center is at ground level and whose edges go up about 30 to 50 feet, prove conclusively that powerful explosives were used to blow rubble out (over 100 concrete 4 inch floors, huge amounts of steel,...etc) and away from the center of the building.
