North Korea Restarts Nuclear Complex, May Nuke US "At Any Time" For "Mischievous Behavior"
Late last month, things got tense in the Korean Peninsula after an argument over a DMZ loudspeaker spiraled out of control. After two South Korean soldiers were wounded by North Korean landmines, the South began blasting propaganda messages over giant speakers on the border. When the North took a shot at one of the speakers, the South returned fire, providing Kim Jong Un with an opportunity to remind the world that he exists (something he is forced to do every now and again when geopolitical realities conspire to relegate the North Korean “menace” to the backburner).
That conflict came on the heels of a hilarious declaration by Pyongyang that the North was prepared to invade the US mainland in retaliation for joint military drills Washington was set to carry out with the South. As part of the planned invasion, Kim said the North was prepared to use “weapons unknown to the world.”
Well, the world may just get a look at one of these heretofore "unknown" weapons on October 10, which marks the 70th anniversary of the foundation of North Korea's ruling Workers’ Party. Kim reportedly plans to celebrate the milestone by launching an long-range ballistic missile.
But that’s not all.
The North’s atomic agency now says that Pyongyang has made good on its promise to restart its main Yongbyon nuclear complex, shut down since 2007. Here are some Yongbyon bullets from BBC:
- North Korea's main nuclear facility, believed to have manufactured material for previous nuclear tests
- Reactor shut down in July 2007 as part of a disarmament-for-aid deal
- International inspectors banned in April 2009 when North Korea pulled out of disarmament talks
- A uranium enrichment facility was revealed in 2010. An American nuclear scientist said centrifuges appeared to be primarily for civilian nuclear power, but could be converted to produce highly enriched uranium bomb fuel
- Reactor restarted in 2013, the same year North Korea conducted a nuclear test. Became dormant in August 2014
- Experts believe that reactor could make one bomb's worth of plutonium per year
- Nuclear test based on uranium device would be harder to monitor than plutonium
The North’s "mighty" nuclear arsenal has been improved in “both quality and quantity as required by the prevailing situation,” the agency’s director said on Monday, adding that the North may use its nukes against the US “at any time.”
And because, when it comes to North Korea, even we have a difficult time enhancing the comedic value of the government’s rhetoric, we present the following declaration from Pyongyang with no further comment:
"If the U.S. and other hostile forces persistently seek their reckless hostile policy towards the DPRK and behave mischievously, the DPRK is fully ready to cope with them with nuclear weapons any time.”

There has been some suggestive discussion that the NK nuke facility was originally constructed in secrecy going as far back as the Japanese occupation in WWII, when Germany was sharing their nuclear and other technology with the Japanese. This of course was when it was just "Korea". It was supposed to be a very similar type secret facility the Germans dug under the Southern Bavarian mountains, I believe. The most startling revelation I found in all of this was the suggestion that the Korean War was not simply about fighting the spread of communism, but really about the US securing this facility from the Russians and everyone else, and that McArthur was really fired for failing in this mission. IMO, anything is possible when you add the magic of government secrecy.

The Germans did share technology with Japan, and they were involved in nuclear research. No relation to the author in anyway, just found his IDEAS regarding the research that he did with respect to the amount of cover up POST WWII to be very intriguing. And a "scientific theory" is still a theory, though I don't see what was so "scientific" about speculating what MacArthur's real objective was in North Korea, or with regard to Japan's nuclear program.
The link below doesn't confirm or disprove anything, other than there is a THEORY that perhaps the Japanese nuclear program in WWII was further along than thought, or allowed to be known. Whether or not MacArthur was tasked with capturing the facility for that reason is a matter of SPECULATION. Should I write that slower? S-P-E-C-U-L-A-T-I-O-N.

Although I am sure KJU would love to have them, my theory is:
1. He _actually_ has a scared-stiff nuclear cadre;
2. That managed to produce a (very) small amount of useful material;
3. Set off at the centre of (kilo-tons) of conventional explosive...in a tunnel (first giveaway);
4. Which produced a rather modest bang by first-nuke standards (second giveaway);
5. But no doubt did produce some radio-product (to show up on the West's detectors, and give the MIC some ammunition).
If he had had a _real_ nuke, it would have done at least 15Kt, and (more importantly) would have been set off above
ground, so that various things that _prove_ it was a real nuke (eg the double flash, and the emmission spectrum
of that flash) would be picked up by the spy satellites.
Further, China would never allow NK (a client state), let alone a personality like KJU to have them.

In the spring of 2013 tensions between North Korea and South Korea were beyond tense. For years America has followed a strategy of hoping in time things would get better, that the people of North Korea would demand more goods and western style comforts and move towards freedom. When the last foul leader died officials hoped that North Korea's young leader would prove to be a reformer, instead lines have harden and cooperation has deteriorated.
I have no knowledge of the motivation, or how crazy the average North Korean soldier might be. Several times in history the ink has only begun to dry on a peace accord before one of the participant attacks totally unprovoked. Let us in America and people throughout the world realize and internalize the potential for a million or more dead North Koreans and many of their neighbors to the south, this does make this situation dire indeed. As I wrote in an article way back then no easy answers exist, that situation remains the same today. the article I refer to is below.
