Will The Lone Star State Secede? Super Tuesday May Allow Voters To "Reassert Texas As Independent Nation"
Submitted by Mac Slavo via SHTFPlan.com,

The question of secession on a ballot it is a one. Secession might make a powerful statement to voice defiance government tyranny, but it could also set off sparks.
Now, it appears that the biggest and most independent-minded state in the union might test that question. What happens after that is anyone’s guess.
Regardless, the possibility shows the pulse of the nation:
Texans May Have Secession Question on Republican Primary Ballot
by Joshua Krause at the Daily Sheeple
Aside from voting for whatever politician happens to be the flavor of the month, the Republican voters of Texas may have an additional question to answer for when Super Tuesday arrives next year. If the Texas Nationalist Movement has its way, then the Republican primary ballot may have to ask voters to decide whether or not they think “the state of Texas should reassert its status as an independent nation” and secede from the United States
Much to the chagrin of the Republican party, the Texas independence group is currently gathering signatures for a petition that would place their non-binding question on the ballot. According to the Texas Secretary of State, they will need at least 66,894 signatures, though the organization is shooting for 75,000.
Historically, the Republican Party would have the final say on what goes on their ballot, and they’ve tried to distance themselves from the Texas Nationalist Movement in the past. If the petition succeeds, it would be the first time that an outside group has their referendum placed on the Republican ballot. The group’s president hopes that the vote will get state legislators to take the issue seriously. “Texas and Washington, D.C. are on very different paths, and the people of Texas obviously recognize that…The Texas Nationalist Movement message has been one not of reaction to grievance but one of a future we can build as an independent nation.”
Secession, a formal declaration of independence, is by tradition the right of every Texan and American, and the Fed has doubtlessly crossed the line too many times to count. Fed up Americans are looking for ways to voice their anger, and Texans have a notoriously short fuse, a history of independence and tendencies to secede. But the powers that be may have also fueled a trap on sovereignty. What is shirked at the federal level may be accepted at the international level.
The bankers and social engineers are practiced at ruling by divide and conquer to avoid personally confronting pitchforks and angry townspeople. There is a plan underway, which has already been exposed, known as the North American Union. Sponsored by Wall Street firms like Goldman Sachs and organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations, the agenda is creating a globalized world that will use immigration to upend politics, shift demographics, supply corporate labor and fracture society.
Like NAFTA before it, the plan will destroy jobs and displace millions of workers, creating new waves of migration across the border. Further integration will restructure shipping, energy and transportation, all while building a scapegoat for the engineered economic collapse that will rile up the masses.
Like a doctor setting a fracture, the underwriters of the North American plan to actually break up regions of America to ‘enhance’ the management and control of society at many levels. According to author Jerome Corsi:
Understanding the plan to merge the U.S., Mexico and Canada, says Corsi, is “the only context in which the current immigration travesty makes sense – and it must be stopped.” This aim to create a North American Union between the United States, Mexico and Canada is the real reason behind “comprehensive immigration reform.”
“A North American Union would not just be the end of America as we know it,” claims Corsi, “but the beginning of an EU-like nightmare – a bureaucratic coup d’etat foisted upon millions of Americans without their knowledge or consent.”
Thus, the big banks and power brokers are interested in Texas secession, or at least could exploit it easily:
How might secession transition from a fringe idea to a country-ender? In my conversations with economists, political scientists, and futurists, three broad themes came up that I found the most persuasive: economic collapse, the rise of localism, and North American reshuffling.
[…]
Let’s say there’s an American revolution—who leaves first? Once the feds “start imposing just huge taxes,” [Peter] Schiff says, the states that have to pay more in than they’re getting back out will pull their stars off the flag. Schiff lists Texas and California as potential pull-out candidates, whereas “Florida probably wants to stay because of all the Social Security money.” […]
North America’s borders have remained pretty much static for the last century… But this stability shouldn’t imply that our dividing lines make sense. In 1981’s Nine Nations of North America, Joel Garreau argued that the continent’s borders don’t reflect how we live. Garreau’s nine nations map—which highlighted regions where people share common values, culture, and natural resources—wasn’t intended to be predictive of a future breakup [Ed. Note: yet could be spot on].
Take away the artificial borders and we’re all just North Americans… If America ends, so will Canada and Mexico. And if Canada or Mexico goes down the tubes, we won’t be long for this continent either. (Source)
Taken the wrong way by the media, secession and ‘fightin’ talk’ about immigration allow the system to play off the sentiment of the locales and provide friction to open up action. This strategy creates new problems, and give new agency powers to those who could offer to provide solutions. These are new realms for experts to manage, and corporations to service. Remember that calls to secession have been led by bought out “yee haw” politicians like Rick Perry. The gun toting standoff rhetoric has been largely manufactured by scripted suits funded by lobbyists.
Nonetheless, a breaking point is bound to come somewhere, at sometime. As one commenter put it:
“Most Texans do not want to break away from the United States. Most Texans consider themselves Americans. But if ever being American means sacrificing our liberties, we will just prefer to be Texans.”

Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.
How'd the conversation shift to start talking about New Yorkers?
Hehehe.....dude, check it out, for your enlightenment:

It would more likely be the other way around ... Texas is the second highest state in regards to contributing to the GDP of this country, and if it were a nation, it would have the 12th largest economy in the world. Texas is a net payer (by a huge margin) in regards to taxes paid to the federal government vs how much federal money flows back in.
Not only that, they could sell toilet paper to Argentina and Venezuela.
Why is Texas in quotes? Also, I think the government is rapidly losing the ability to inflict economic pain on anyone.
If it were to happen, the US wouldn't allow Texas to trade with anyone. They would pressure every country not to trade with it. The Country of Texas would go under virtually overnight. Take away its trade with the US and every other country in the world and it would be game over. All raw or manufactured goods going out or in. And that's aside from the monetary and debt difficulties that the US would impose.
I honestly don't care one way or the other, but if anyone believes the US will simply let a state go on a vote they misjudge the nature of the US government.
At least, not before Soros and others get their dollar/bond shorts in place. Or, the FED could just raise rates back to historical norms. Texas independence would then happen naturally.
Lol. If California seceeds it will only be because the Mexicans decided that they wanted to make their conquest official. I put my money on New Hampshire seceeding before any other contenders.
Vermont, probably.
Personally I think the rest of the United States should vote Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York and anwhere else they want to consider New Englad "OUT" of the union. Give THEM their own country, we'll lmind our own business and they can mind thiers. That would give them a chunk of the NY Fed too. Have to act quickly before they leave for Detroit or wherever.
What the fuck does "The question of secession on a ballot it is a one." mean?
And I can heal the sick and even raise the dead
And make the little girls talk out of their heads
I'm the one, yes, I'm the one, I'm the one, I'm the one
I'm the one they call the seventh son

We could put on a show!
Tex-aid. ZZ Top could play.
With oil prices being where they are, this is the absolute worst time for Texas to secede or at least threaten to do it (STATES CAN NOT DO THAT). They'll burn through glory day surplus very quickly and soon enough, their hand will be out for federal gimmedats like just about every other state. Texas is revisiting the post boom 80's. They need to take it easy until the next boom cycle comes.....in about 20 years. Til then, I'm afraid they'll be eating shit
I think all 50 states should seceed just not from each other but from Washington D.C.
Didn't thing DC was part of the union
No it is the supreme law of the land and should remain that is as long as it acts in accordance with the powers granted or not granted by the constitution.
I Think that Washington D.C. is the Snakes Head. The Control is for the Elite and I am Glad Texas may open some eyes.
As a Canadian, we have an Election coming soon. Harper will be defeated as 66% are against him and will not Vote for Him even as a second Choice. TTP will be gone even if he pushes it though by the next leaders I am Hoping it is a Shared Minority Government. ( They won't agree on Changes)
DC is the corporate headquarters.
The founders threw that away when they trashed the Articles for the Constitution.
Illogical, you enter into a union willingly then you can exit it at will. Otherwise, the Federal Gov't should require divorced spouses to remain together.
What a mess a secession would be in practice for Texas. Last time I looked there were extensive US aerospace, military and bureaucratic installations that would have to be evacutated or 'acquired' by the newly formed nation of Texas. Not mention the massive oil pipeline system crossing in and out would have to be reconciled somehow.
Is the independent Texas going to throw up a fence along the border with the US and have a crossing gate at every highway, County route and lonely farm road that leads into N M, Okla, Ark, and la?
No none of that messy non-sense. Basically you become a "sanctuary" state. But, instead of just ignoring Federal immigration law you ignore all Federal laws and live only under Texas law. Easy enough since we have over a decade of precedent.
Whatever the plans are that are being hatched by the current crop of 'Continentalists', leave Canada out of them. We settled that business in 1812. But feel free to keep on trashing what you have below the 49'th.
Like Canada is the shining star of benevolent government. LOL.
What's the problem.
Canada's been riding on the coattails of our military, economy, and free border crossing since day 1.
Good luck with spitting out the tit now.
They should get their national guard or whatever police forces and troops they may have and seal that border. Let the feds come in and try and stop them.... good luck with the backlash with Trump running for president. If they don't do something soon they will not have a state, if it's not already too late.
Que the swarm of Mexicans in beige Toyota Landcruisers
If you think Texas or any other state, given sovereignty, would be any better than the US federal government you are seriously drinking the kool-aid. Your states government would be bought by the vampire squid in 30 seconds flat... if if isn't already.
The question has already been settled with the uncivil war. This is now a forced union. I'm sure they could play with ballets but just like in the elections the ballets are meaningless. But watch when / if the actual attempt is made.
These united States plural died in 1861... The United States singular was founded. From there its been all downhill. Loss of state and citizen sovereignty,,, take over of the state militia, the end of sovereign money and finally the loss of the constitution and the creation of a super fascist state.
Looking at the pathetic gaggle of megalomaniacs trying for dictator in chief is proof that ... it's over.
I agree we live in a Tyranny nothing United about these States for at least 150 years, maybe more. You're right it's a forced and unhealthy relationship.
Full slavery of a few was replaced by partial slavery of everyone when Lincoln won. That partial slavery has grown ever since. W/o honest money, it only gets bigger. Fiat money demands that it must grow.
As much as I hate Texans I'd much rather be a Q99X2.
Of course the Repuglicans would have a problem with it, since they are part of the problem. Six years and Obama still steps on the Constitution. Time to get a non-Republican, non-Democrat ballot in Texas.
Time is right to get out, easy enough, just say you are a sanctuary state and instead of ignoring Federal immigration law you ignore all Federal laws. Good enough and you don't have to create a new currency. Just do like the BVI and trade in U.S. Dollars.
I think Texas would have to revolt. Pretty sure the Supreme Court has ruled on the secession question. And per the Constitution, what the COTUS wants, the SCOTUS gets. Unless Andrew Jackson is in charge, of course.
Secession is just more collectivism, only in an infantile form. A system will evolve in the newly created country which includes leaders who will go into office as liberty lovers but will soon-enough be corrupted by their office. The system of government is the problem, no matter how small. Individual sovereign beings working in harmony, independent of any system of government is the only answer. As soon as democracy (mob rule) begins, then you have a majority telling a minority what laws they will abide by...and liberty begins to slowly die.
The right laws are already in place; they are natural laws. Many a ZHer undertands this and has already seceeded without having to sign a stupid petition or waiting around for their neighbors to have the A-HA! moment. They rejected the system and are self-sustaining away from the grid, as does every other species on this planet.
Nature self-regulates. Humans vote.
I tip my hat to those of you who are truly free.
You are too perceptive for this room.
Thank you but I disagree. I've learned a lot from the wisdom of many of the commenters in this room.
You must be referring to the heyday of 2012 when I would have agreed with you. I haven't seen wisdom in here since at least 2013.
Really.
"infantile form".
When the government checks and ebt cards don't reload and the TV, iphone and WWW go blank, it ain't the infantiles that are going to be looking for something to eat and drink, and keep them entertained.
Change is coming. 0 said he's going to infiltrate 1 million more of the clit cuttin', head choppin', burning alive Islamic cultist before he is done. 36,000 infiltrators awarded their prize this week, citizenship. Hope, ain't gonna feed anybody.
Lets deport 15,000 illegals a day, every day for two years.
That ain't gonna cost us a goddamn thing, 'cause somebody else is gonna pay for it.
Was there a point to this POS article? Was it pro or anti secession? It was written so badly that it is impossible to tell.
The cherry on top of that ice cream sundae was a gratuitous Jerome Corsi quote. Wow. A couple of cites to Natural News and to World Net Daily would have sprinkled a couple more turds in this thing.
Really, what was the point of this article?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQCU36pkH7c
Such kind of movment can be tolerated in US but if anyone would even speak about it in Russia, than will get in prison for couple of years. I guess that is definition of hypocrisy - taking into account the way Russia supports seperatism in Ukraine.
We fixin' to find out who the free shit army really is.
Fucking rednecks.
That's who the free shit army is.
Who are the people who actually do any work for a living in this country?
401(k) makin' money for ya?
Boy, that's really hard work.
Creating wealth investing in the stock market?
Actually creating anything of worth at all?
That's really hard work.
Right. Every last one of us redneck assholes are creating something of lasting wealth for our families in the future.
Are you pro redneck asshole or con redneck assholes?
Or are you drawing a distinction between "fucking rednecks" and "redneck assholes"?
Your post appears to praise and damn the "rednecks" at the same time. I cannot parse your language or intent.
Please clarify. Or don't, fuck it, bro, it's just a message board.
I am a pro redneck asshole, but I hold great disdain for redneck assholes who's brain, if you put it in a matchbox would sound like a BB rolling around in a boxcar.
I live in Texas, and I gotta tell ya. These goddamn mescans are crawling all over the place building houses for less than minimum wage.
These goddamn mescans have stolen people's social security numbers and are paying into our social security accounts, just so they can work.
These goddamn mescans are bad people.
These goddamn mescans are down in the valley picking fruit so we can eat cheaply, and they are bad fucking people.
These goddamn mescans are cleaning our toilets, and sweeping up our floors. They are bad fucking people.
These mescans need to be kicked the fuck outta here.
We need their jobs.
Those mescan bastards took our jobs.
Sorry, could not resist :)
They took the pissed of Redneck Trailer Trash's jobs!!!
They took their jobs!!!
TRUMP 2016!!!
I APPLIED FOR A JOB PICKING CABBAGE FOR $1 AN HOUR AND SOME FUCKING MESKIN STOLE IT FROM ME
Not if the cheyanne government has anything to say about it, you must join the allied states of america!!!
but on a more serious note texas wont secde in this current environment, one America is still strong, so unless it expects to get sanctioned to death forget it. Texas doesnt have its own military capable of defending itself from continential america. Freedom is only good if you can defend it.
Maybe when america is a mere husk of its former self will texas actually have the ability, both militarily and economically to secede.
Texas did not need a "right" to leave Mexico. Texans simply took up arms and said fuck you.
Does this sound familiar, America?
Gotta love the spirit. But that sort of spirit hasn't been around for a long time. Maybe a very small number of people. But we have become a nation of wimps. We dont' even have the courage to fight in our own wars--just pay "volunteers" and then vicariously seek some sort of courage through their actions. And, "Thank you for your sevice" comes out of their mouths every other moment. Sort of like the little guy that always stands behind the neighborhood bully shouting mean things at whomever the bully is about to pulverize. Sick little men, Americans.
Everyone here is forgetting that with current demographic trends 'White Americans' will be a minority there within a few years. (Say thanks to Perry, Bush et al). When that milestone is passed talk of secession become moot.
Texans of the day didn't care about freedom, except their freedom to own slaves. New Mexican constitution forbade salvery, that impinged on the freedom of the white Texans, so they revolted and set up a new country. Which they promptly gave up to join the US as a slave state, no doubt paid handsomly to do it, so that they could balance a northern "free" state.
Yes, the colonial system screwed the South. Only thing is, the owners who did the screwing were the plantation owners. If Texas secedes, that doesn't mean every redneck in the state is going to suddenly become a plantation owner. And, you would see massive withdrawal of corporate entities since the new nation of Texas would not be friendly to them. To say nothing of the enormous military presence here that supports so much of central and southern Texas.
Then, when you sorted out the remains of Texas, there would be a shitload of Mexicans thinking, "Hey, if the Gringoes can secede, why don't we?" and, viola!, Texas is all of a sudden a much smaller "State."
But, of course, you know everything, and are all-wise, so... go ahead and secede. I'll join Toyota, State Farm, HP, etc., and move my family up north where there might still be water in 50 years or so.
Party on, dudes.
What kind of "free state" supports Prohibition? Texas. For one.
And they supported that other Prohibition too. Idiots didn't learn anything from the first lesson. And so far they are still not learning from the second episode.
You have to wonder if the stupidity is catching or if they were born that way. Well it is not like they are the only ones. So there is that.
IF they let us have our alcohol and our weed freely, then it might be paradise after all.
America was founded by voting, yard signs, and mailers..why don't these secessionists understand that?
Not a chance.
The vote won't even be close.
Very true. Too many people that idolize the national government or depend on it for their income. The American population is as stuck as any socialist society. And without any self-reliance skills or abilities. They ain't going anywhere.
And that is the whole point. Make everyone dependent on the Government. Huxley and Orwell foresaw this and the likes of the Bolsheviks understood and applied it perfectly.
Really.
When the checks stop being deposited and the ebt cards aren't reloaded.
All that's "true" becomes how do we fucking stay alive.
Texas does have a few nukes. Always makes for good conversation around the negotiating table.....
Pissy about not getting your gold back, fellas?
"Most Texans consider themselves Americans."
Give it a few more years and most Texans will consider themselves Mexicans.
This Texian has no problem with Mexicans.
The problem is with the cartels, the corrupt .001% robbing the people of Mexico and our US of A, in the same fashion as our banksters and their ilk.
Viva Texico.
Might be better to just wait until the next time Bozo Nutt&Yahoo is addressing a full-to-the-rafters Kiss-My-Kosher-Ass Session of the USSA Knesset -
With all the perps in the one place - block off every exit in DC and then just smoke 'em out. That solves everyone's problem - not just Texas... although it would not be surprising to see the Lone Star Flag the first to be hoisted above the Capitol.
viz the article and the supposed the conspiracy of the elite to break up the Americas: It's so much easier to manage the current system thn to have to manage all the individaal states. WHy do you think the NWO is using climate change to try to put in place the beginning of a world .gov? ONe ruling location provides leverage. Having to manage too many disparate entities loses any leverage advantage and entails a lot more work.
Think before you write.
Texas has been leaving the last 70 years.
Let’s be real, it won’t happen. Odds are better Rand Paul will sponsor and get a piece of legislation passed.
Maybe not in the real world. However,
For the last 30 or so years the "real world" has been becoming more un real.
Who knows how the coming engineered chaos will end.
Every state has the right to secede as "guaranteed" by the Constitution, the states would never have signed on if they did not feel they could opt out if things didn't work out. The illegal war of northern agression (the civil war) ended that right but if the South had won the war or been allowed to peacefully secede, North America would have been a better place and the world would have been better off. The war was not about slavery which existed in both North and South and would have died out anyway. The "civil war" was about money and power, like all wars.
No. It's not secession. It's our inalienable right to change how we (we, not the self-anointed .01%) chose to govern ourselves, not how to criminalize freedom, truth, patriotism, faith, and justice for all.
For the .01% the war was about slavery. Their right to lord over the black and regular folks to support their non-work ethic, their immorality, and their bank accounts, much the same way the banksters do it today.
Fuch the south shall rise again bullshite.
It's about freedom from the treasonous American and constitutional hating .01%, and justice for me and mine crony facsim that has taken over our Government, our Institutions, and our legal system.
I'm for it.
See yall from the trenches on the banks of the Neches.
This crap was settle at Appomatox Courthouse 150 years ago. Despite the ongoiing Middleast nonsense I'm guessing Texas could expect some Federal forces on their property before you could say 'how about them Cowboys'?
I would favor Texas secession. And then I would favor secession of groups of counties within Texas. I would favor that all states did this. I would favor a truly representative form of government where we choose representatives from those we know and who know us. I would favor a government where we elect representatives and administrators ... not leaders. I would favor a government where each level is selected from the level above ... where each level did only those things the level above could not do ... the individual being at the top level. Supposedly that's what we had but distortions began immediately (read Maclay's Journal).
But the trend is consolidation ... not separation.
Why?
Because it seems to be a natural tendency of all humans group ... and for groups to group. In the olden days there were physical impediments to this ... like oceans and mountain ranges. Now there are not.
Just as when the USA was formed in Britain's image and then became all that was bad about Britain, the separating states would do the same.
And that means they would remain clueless about the proper management of the Medium of Exchange (MOE) process ... and would yield thereby to the 0.01%.
If we're going to neuter the 0.01% it will be by instituting a properly managed MOE that removes their advantages over us mere mortals.
The tendency is for consolidation, ossification and disintegration.
Otherwise all the old empires would have been consolidated into one by now.
I doubt at any point there will be less than two nations on earth and they will be enemies.
