How The World Spends

Tyler Durden's picture

Have you ever wondered how much money Russians spend on alcohol and tobacco compared to the rest of the world? Or how much households in Saudi Arabia allocate to recreation?

Today’s data visualization from The Economist shows how much people in households around the world allocate to different expenses such as food, housing, recreation, transportation, and education.

The first thing to note is that this looks at private spending only, and does not include any public spending that could be allocated to each household. As a result, in places like Canada or the EU, spending on healthcare is much smaller than in comparison to the United States, where households spend 20.9% of their money.

Source: VisualCapitalist

Here’s a few interesting stats:

In Russia, where housing is subsidized, people spend way less on housing, fuel, and utilities with only 10.3% of money allocated. At the same time, they are the biggest relative spenders on food, alcohol and tobacco, and clothing.

Developed countries are more or less the opposite of Russia in this regard. In places like the United States, Canada, Japan, or the EU, about 20-25% of money is spend on housing, fuel, and utilities. Meanwhile, consumption of food, alcohol and tobacco, and clothing are on the lower ends of the spectrum. In fact, its actually the United States that spends the smallest portion on food altogether, at only 6.8%.

Contrast that to India, where GDP per capita is by far the lowest at only US$1498.87. With little disposable income, Indians spend a much higher proportion of money on necessities such as food (about 30%), while using much less income on things like recreation (1.5%) or restaurants and hotels (2.6%).

The sad part is that most of that food is subsidized GMO grains dipped in a frosty coating of roundup. Take away that farce and the real cost would shock the shit out of people. They may even contemplate growing a vegetable garden to save money. Of course Monsanto would create a multi million dollar ad campaign to get them to dump Roundup on it.

Ads would be a waste of MonDowCarbideADM_Cargill  time and resources. And your comment lacks understanding in one area which is uncharacteristic of your writings.

Monsatan would just get the STATE to ban individuals' criminal gardens to save water, protect public health concerns and close any avenue where bartering eggs for butter could circumvent the system. Roundup protects children from the ugly specter of unpasteurized milk by promoting the incredibly awesome benefits of gmSOY !!!! (facepalm)

Well Government Spending would be more interesting right now as the USA looks at Crisis upon Crisis;

-
Shouldn't we get an explanation for why so much increase in Federal Spending?

Federal Budget 2014 = $3.5 Trillion (B. Obama)
Federal Budget 2012 = $3.54 Trillion (B. Obama)
Federal Budget 2010 = $3.45 Trillion (B. Obama)
Federal Budget 2008 = $2.98 Trillion (G.W. Bush)
Federal Budget 2006 = $2.65 Trillion (G.W. Bush)
Federal Budget 2004 = $2.29 Trillion (G.W. Bush)
Federal Budget 2002 = $2.01 Trillion (B. Clinton)
Federal Budget 2000 = $1.79 Trillion (B. Clinton)
Federal Budget 1998 = $1.65 Trillion (B. Clinton)
Federal Budget 1997 = $1.6 Trillion (B. Clinton)

And shouldn't we rein in the Costs? Legal Costs, Drugs, Medical Care, Hospitals, Hospital Equipment, Health Insurance?

- Federal Government has millions of contracts to closeout and audit, document.

Total--Office of Personnel Management Outlays 2014 = $138.63 Billion (What?)

Total--Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Outlays 2014 = $1.187 Trillion

Total—Department of Agriculture Outlays 2014 = $159.61 Billion

And look they make a bunch of line entries so few can actually realize all the money spent on things like Security and Defense, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare.

Total—Department of Housing and Urban Development Outlays 2014 = $42.04 Billion

Total—International Assistance Program Outlays 2014 = $49.37 Billion

Total--Department of Labor Outlays 2014 = $62.98 Billion

Total--Social Security Administration Outlays 2014 = $908.76 Billion

Total—Department of the Treasury Outlays 2014 = $570.86 Billion

2014 Total--Interest on the Public Debt = $429.568 Billion

- Great so in addition to Central Americans, and whoever walks across the board... Despite the promise that DHS and the Military would secure the Nation... Now they want to bring in people we terrorized, people that have been left with nothing thanks to US Wars... People from Known Terrorist Cells

- And none of them can be verified as who they say they are.

This is bunk.

Some countries spend less on certain things because they are cheaper in those countries and vice versa.

Canadians would spend less on maple syrup than the Japanese even if Canucks eat it everyday and the Japanese eat it once a year if the price of it in Japan is 100x that of it in Ottawa and the Japanese population is 4x that of Canada. (not fact-checked, just an example)

And what of exchange rates etc.?

Just a subtle way to trash the Russians.

It's a percentage of overall household spending so your point is moot.

Even if in one country something is 10 times more expensive than another, and that country then spends a higher percentage of there household income on that given area then it shows they are prepared to do so.

Essentials like food probably shouldn't be included because people have no choice but to eat - to a lesser degree this goes for health too - though it does demonstrate how the USA is getting ripped off with their faciast forced private health care (And noo. It's not socialist health care - The US system is about as far from socialist as you can get, it was a massive rip off even before obamacare), but for the other things the stats are quite telling.

US Health Care spending sticks out like a sore thumb because of our corrupt government-protected Monopoly Medicine system of health care.

The rest of the world has more free markets and takes advantage of a wide variety of natural, cheap, effective and safe medical and health remedies.

America spends so much because there is no competition between the various types of medicine.

Our state governments gave accident or Allopathic medicine a government-protected monopoly to diagnose, treat and cure ALL medical afflictions including degenerative diseases that represents 90% of medical care.

Most of the world is using cheap Chinese, Naturopathic, Homeopathic or Ayurvedic medicine and they aren’t dropping like flies like Americans want to believe.

Monopoly Allopathic Medicine has duped Americans into believing that disease strikes randomly like lightning from germs or genetics and that we have little control over our health.

Louis Pasteur, the founder of the Germ Theory of Disease, finally admitted on his death bed that germs don’t cause disease but the terrain is the chief cause.

The terrain is the state of cleanliness or toxicity in the body that enables our immune system to reverse or prevent disease.

Monopoly Allopathic Medicine completely ignores toxicity, detoxification, nutrition and natural immunity as all the alternative medicines emphasize.

With government-protected Monopoly Medicine, it's all about managing disease not curing it, maximizing profits and getting patients on daily "maintenance" drugs, using costly surgery and interventions with toxic vaccines.

A massive disruption is coming in health care.  In fact investors who have Big Pharma stock should sell ASAP because when the dollar devalues, corrupt agencies

like the FDA and state medical boards that protect the "Standard of Care" favoring Big Pharma and Monopoly Medicine will not be able to continue protecting these corrupt industries from competition.

Like the corrupt Fed, these are the last days of government-protected monopolies and if they had to compete with cheaper, safer and far more effective

natural medicine like Homeopathy, Naturopathy or Chinese Medicine they would likely be starved for patients.

The last time the dangerous Allopaths competed in the marketplace in 1900 they could only attract 14% of patients.

The public was afraid of them and fortunately there was back then a free market in medicine so the public chose affordable, safe and vastly more effective natural medicine.

In the 1918 Flu Pandemic, the Allopaths lost 30% of their patients.  The Alternative Medical providers lost 1%.

Allopaths were known as the Quicks (later Quacks) for the quicksilver or mercury they poisoned their patients with.

They're still poisoning patients with toxic mercury in vaccines along with aluminum, MSG and formaldehyde embalming fluid.

And that's besides the toxic infectious agent that starts a brushfire in the brain for life causing Autism and Schitzophrenia.

They're also poisoning and killing patients with chemotherapy for cancer that's a derivative of WW1 mustard gas.

Because we allowed the European Black Nobility - Organized Crime through their Jesuit, Zionist and Masonic agents to take over our money and medicine

around 1913, we allowed the quacks of the day, a government-protected monopoly and drove out the true healers.

The sheeple to this day still believe the myth that Ambulance Allopathic Medicine earned it's government-protected monopoly status because it's the only "proven and scientific" medicine.

Nothing could be further from the truth.  It's a vicious, cruel lie that 90% of Americans not only believe, but even defend because they have been brainwashed and chemically dumbed-down with vaccines, fluoridated water and GMO food to name a few.

Forget about government-protected monopolies containing costs and becoming affordable, our hidden rulers are getting a huge belly laugh on their way to

the bank as they have handicapped the public with poisons in the food, air, water and medicine.

Visit naturalnews.com and mercola.com and educate and treat yourself with cheap, safe and effective natural medicine that cleans up your immune system terrain and turns on powerful prevention.

Empower yourself and dispel the myth, power and fraud of Monopoly Quack Medicine.

Allopathic Ambulance Medicine specializes in stabilizing traumatic accidents and that’s what they should be restricted to doing.

PBS doctor Andrew Weil MD says that Allopathic Medicine has no business treating degenerative diseases just as natural medicine has no business treating accident victims.

We’ve all been duped by our organized-crime hidden rulers into believing false paradigms about medicine and money.

It’s time we woke up and started controlling our economic future and health.

We will all find that the body is enormously powerful in keeping us healthy without the poisoning agendas and interventions of corrupt men.

See this video describing this handicapping agenda by neurosurgeon Dr Russell Blaylock MD for a real eye-opener.
