The Long Con: Democracy & The Illusion Of Consent
Submitted by Eric Peters via EricPetersAutos.com,
Democracy is an incredibly successful long con. It works because of the illusion of consent. People actually believe they are “represented.”
And so, they accept impositions that would otherwise be intolerable, if imposed on them by a king or a fuhrer or generalissimo.
But when the “people” have decided… .
Except of course, they’ve done no such thing. It is all an illusion, a rhetorical sleight-of-hand that deftly hides the reality that it is not the “people” who decide anything but rather a small handful of individuals who wield vast – almost unlimited – power by claiming to act on their behalf.
Which is a fine-sounding literary device but as a political actuality it is an atrocity.
Have you ever consented to anything the government does to you? Been offered the free choice to accept – or decline? And not subject to violent repercussions in the event you do decide to decline? What sort of contract is it that you’re never actually been presented with but which you’re presumed to have signed – and which you are bound by whether you’ve signed – or not?
It is very odd.
The courts have ruled that by dint of having applied for permission to travel – that is, having applied for a driver’s license – you gave given your implied consent to, well, pretty much anything the state decides to do to you. Even when in flagrant abuse of your alleged rights, as enumerated in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights.
Yet few, if any of us, have actually consented to this abrogation of our rights.
We are simply told that we have, since we submitted (under duress) to the necessity of obtaining a driver’s license, so as to be able to travel semi-freely, under certain terms and conditions.
Like most political language, “consent of the governed” means (in reality) the opposite of its superficial (and generally accepted) meaning. Of a piece with legislation touting “freedom” and “patriotism.” Most of us understand very well what’s coming in that case.
We need to learn the same about “consent of the governed.”
That our consent is irrelevant.
We’ll do as we’re told – or else.
Essential to the lie of “consent” is the fraud of “representation.” As in “no taxation without representation” (implying that it’s legitimate to take your money since you’ve said it’s ok to do that… except of course you probably never said any such thing). The concept – always left fuzzy, never closely examined – is that we each give proxy power to another person (the “representative”) who then “represents” our interests.
It’s a preposterous – and pernicious – concept.
No one has your proxy power except when explicitly given.
Have you given it?
The claim is that by voting, you’ve done exactly that. Which is nonsense, since you have no choice whatsoever to decline to give your proxy. You are presented with a choice of proxies – in the same way that a condemned man in some states is presented with the choice of lethal injection or the electric chair.
Your feeble right to vote for the candidates of other people’s choosing is the mechanism by which all your sovereign rights as an individual are vitiated.
“Representation” makes you believe it’s all ok. Makes you accept the unacceptable.
Your drop of piss vote in the bucket mingles with oceans of other people’s piss-votes. A “representative” is infused with the combined “voices” of all those people and, via some process beyond the ken of mortal man, transmutes their “will” into concrete action. Which action is infused with moral authority because it echoes the vox populi.
You are “represented.”
Nonsense.
The idea that a congressman transmutes the will of thousands of discrete individuals is actually worse than nonsense.
It is imbecility.
Well, those who buy into it are imbeciles, at any rate.
Most people are unaware of the fact that the German Nazis considered themselves the ultimate democrats (little “d”). That Hitler was not a self-aggrandizing tyrant but merely a sort of conduit for the will of the German national community, the volksgemeinschaft. This is not opinion. It is what the Nazis themselves formally touted. “Hitler,” roared Rudolf Hess at one of the infamous Nuremburg partei rallies – “is Germany, just as Germany is Hitler.”
One and the same.
Noteworthy also is the verbiage of the Soviet communists, who spoke of the dictatorship of the proletariat. It wasn’t Lenin and Stalin’s dictatorship. Oh no! They were merely doing what the proletariat – the people – desired. Hence also the German Democratic Republic (the former East Germany) and the People’s Republic of China.
These are examples of democracy in its extreme, distilled form.
The “proof” of American democracy continues to wax.
One hundred years ago, we were at what you might call the hard cider, or the beer and wine stage. We are now at the Jack Daniels stage.
How much longer before we are at the methanol stage?
It depends on how much longer the long con that we are “represented” – and have given our “consent” – holds up.

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."
H.L. Mencken
Probably his worst statement (and I'm a big fan), simply because "common people" know exactly what they want — or at least would do what they would do if they could — which is to engage in free and voluntary exchange for their mutual benefit, just as Adam Smith said.
The "invisible hand," in other words, as opposed to the alll-too-visable fist:

I think we are closer to the nitromethane drinking stage than anything else.
I'd say we have passed on to the formaldehyde stage. Methanol was sooo 1963.
read this earlier on another site, but its good to see ZH posting eric peters. He has written a lot of good stuff over the years, and if any of yall havent read him before, i highly recommend you check him out. He writes some good stuff about the US auto industry and the collusion between the autos and govt.
I was reading along thinking "This sounds like Eric Peters" so I scrolled to the top and there he was.
We would be a Democracy if we could vote for the issues. We cannot. We are a Republic. We vote for a representative. We are always given two choices. I would call the U.S. form of government a "Hobson's Republic."
If Amerikanski is now at Jack Daniel stage, you are remember in communist Soviet Union, people is hit ethylene glycol stage back in 1930.
Haven't seen your comments in a while Boris. So glad you're back!
"We are a Republic." Not so at all. We have a tyrannical oligarchy. "We vote..."? For selections made in the back room by bankster's minions.
The law, the rules, are just fragrently ignored. Some of these amendments to the Constitution were never ratified. Where's Obama's birth certificate? How come no one can figure out who placed the 9/11 airline puts? Voting? Give me a break.
"We vote for a representative"
Who, on any issues involving significant amounts of MONEY, represents the special interests who provided the funding to get him elected for that very purpose who could just as easily spend the money to get him unelected next time.
Guns, gays, god? Sure you can occassionally have your way. But the status quo flow of TRILLIONS of public dollars? Keep your damned hands off that business! Leave that up to your "representative"!
This is not well written, it is predicated on the notion that a 'Murican Exceptionalist has some sort of god-given-right to speak for the universal nature of democracy. It is an epic fallacy of composition. In fact it is very easy to turn the author's statements around and construct an argument that what ills American society is a lack of democracy (but then I'd have to fend of those other 'Murican Exceptionalists who want to suck Plato's tyrannical cock and quibble about some of the more superficial distinctions between a republic and a democracy).
I'm too, *erp!*, fuckng' drunk to comment coherently.
Call me in twenty years, if I'm still around.
"Probably his worst statement (and I'm a big fan), simply because 'common people' know exactly what they want — or at least would do what they would do if they could. — which is to engage in free and voluntary exchange for their mutual benefit..."
I'll have to go with Mencken on this one:
"The fact is that the average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely. Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty — and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies."
I was looking for another quotation but I may read it slightly differently than you. I read it as people simply voting on things they do not understand.
You can whip people into a frenzy and get a $15/hr minimum wage while totally clueless about the consequences.
You could put it up to a vote as to how Ben Carson should do his next brain surgery and the populace would be clueless.
In one case, most people might know they are ignorant of what to do. In the other case they are ignorant of their ignorance.
After graduating from elementary school, junior high school, high school, advanced high school and Commieforina's Commuter U...
The only thing I really learned is that I don't know what I don't know. [Not totally true. I also learned that if you are actually trying to better yourself, the STATE is your mortal enemy.]
And I learned that all on my own, from the school of hard knocks. But I had to pay $7k to get a diploma, to announce to the world that I was a complete ignoramous, but specialized in accounting. (Just as they like 'em.) My student loans were paid offabout eight years ago or so. (I got my college diploma around 1995 or 1996, the date means little to me, it was the process I was wanting to get through; I've already told the story of physically walking my college application through the entire process after they lost it three times.) I got a college degree in business administration-accounting focus. I also had enrolled in the MBA program for Controllership, got a job making three times I ever made in my life at that time, fuck college, I'm feeding my kids.
Apparently I didn't tell the college to go fuck them selves appropriately, because they kept me fully enrolled in the masters program, and I failed all the classes I totally ditched to earn a living. Oddly, the primary class I have to get permission, approval, and some odd-assed political support for, is the Controllership class.
As the corporate controller for fifty entities over the last eleven years, with perfect financial, sales tax, property tax, fuel tax refunds, and Workers Comp audits. I think I'm qualified to teach the fucking class, but I failed it back in 1995 or 1996 because commuter U had no method of recognizing an internet withdrawal. All I could do was send an email to the professor, who could give a shit, and copy the university, who could give a shit.
Precisely why I haven't voted since 1996. Here's why:
1. I can vote to give away my freedoms but I cannot vote to take away yours. Voting is an act of aggression. If our rights are unalienable (non transferrable) then they cannot be usurped by a voter and yet that is the crux of all voting.
2. Voting is anonymous. Voters are never held accountable for their actions. They can vote to harm others with no consequence to themselves.
3. Voting is an act of cowardice. It allows people to do by way of proxy to others what they otherwise cannot or would not do such as steal, kill, agress, etc.
4. Voting does not make a difference. There has never been a single election I've participated in that my vote or lack thereof was the decider.
5. Those elected are never held accountable for the debt they accrue on behalf of those they represent and the resulting economic harm. The worst thing that happens is that they are voted out of office with a full lifetime pension.
6. Voting is an act of consent. I don't choose to offer my consent. When you vote you agree to abide by the rules of the game and accept the outcome. By voting, it is clear that each voter endorses the governmental system under which he or she lives. By the act of voting, each voter is saying: It is right and proper for some people, acting in the name of the State, to pass laws and to use violence to compel obedience to those laws if they are not obeyed regardless of the morality of those laws.
7. Voting is an act of presumptive violence because each voter assumes the right to appoint a political guardian over other human beings. No individual voter or even a majority of voters have such a right (see #1). If they claim to possess such a right, let them clearly explain where that right comes from and how it squares with the self-evident truths of the Declaration of Independence "that all men are created equal, [and] that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable "Rights" of "Life, Liberty," and Property.
8. Is there an obligation to vote to preserve my freedoms and rights? If so, then my rights aren't in fact unalienable but rather conditional, a privilege bestowed by the state. This is totally contrary to what the founders wrote and spoke about.
9: Voting for the lesser of two evils is still evil.
Violence is the only thing which can be understood by the purveyors of the "legal monopoly on the use of force".
"Violence is the only thing which can be understood"
You could have stopped there.
Life is combat.
Not true Neo. I used to believe that too. It turns out, there are dimmensions in the matrix where people get along fine.
It APPEARS that we get along fine.
We're actually trying to figure out where the knife goes.
Agree Neo. Sadly most people on this Earth are barely more than animals. Goes to reason regarding the violence then.
The US political system is characterized by "no representation without taxation". Those who pay the taxes (70-75% of federal income taxes are paid by the top 10%) get represented (or get to compete for representation). The US is the best gov't the top 1-10%'s money can buy (and increasingly the top 0.001-1%).
The wealhiest Americans who can afford to buy the gov't they want do so in the same manner they pay for personal and professional services, e.g., house staff, nanny, driver, security, tax and investment advice, etc.
Therefore, gov't is a costly service for the top 0.001-1% that the bottom 90-99% cannot afford.
The US is a plutocratic, militarist-imperialist, rentier corporate-state.
I do not want to take away from the spirit of your post.
<<Precisely why I haven't voted since 1996. Here's why:>>
Most importantly: Your vote makes no difference.
If you actually do the math, your vote is a miniscule fraction of all votes cast. Your efforts are better spent buying a lottery ticket or helping an old lady cross the road.
The power of a vote is objectively an illusion. Rattling on arguments against voting under the illusion that a single vote makes a difference is taking the statist bait.
all good points - however, to remind all of the Colorado state vote to regulate cannabis like alcohol passed (21yr. old with i.d. can make purchase) that was monumental. In the past 40 years there have been around 30 MILLION arrests made in the USA cannabis related. In that same time period over 2 MILLION americans have been killed in alcohol related car crashes
so local votes can make a big difference --
Huzzah.
On #9 you could add the obvious: "A voter is morally and ethically complicit in every action, whether benevolent or heinous, of the candidate for which their vote was cast."
But this is a great list. I'm totally stealing it for an internet argument which now, with your assistance, I will surely win.
Democracy means that 51% of the people can take everything from the other 49%
Thank God, we live in a republic.
People will ultimately consent to anything as long as the free shit holds. Normally this would be a short con as the free shit would run out pretty quickly. What makes this a long con and so damned destructive because of it, is debt. They have used debt and the printing press to extract wealth from the world economy and redistribute it to people in the form of free or cheap crap. If this debt, this redistribution, had not been allowed, they would have hit the stops on fake wealth and free shit decades ago. Trust me that it will be far more than simply 51% demanding from the 49%. As this tightens up the demand for more and more from the government, it will empower them to take more and more from the remaining few. A trickle will advance to an avalanche. This is like any other addiction that starts innocently enough. Small doses relative cheap that grows and grows until it IS our life. Our pusher is our god, and regardless of how evil we know him to be, we will do as he asks, rob, blackmail, and kill who he wants to get our fix. Our greatest fear will be that it ends.
Not for a long time, Zorba. That was another era in America.
Yea that's the theory. The theory crumbles when the majority get rid of the rule of law. At this point, we have a fucking mob rule democracy, with the power elites at the top.
Nobody represents me. They don't give a flying fuck about middle class America. They just want to fleece you until you can't stand it anymore. 600, 800, maybe 1000 a month for insurance while you live under the fucking bridge. Those cocksukers have been stealing from us for 20 years and they'll keep fucking doing it until one day- the middle class army rises up and begins to greet these fuckers with gun barrels. That's how it always ends because the people in power don't negotiate.
The next time around will be no different. Gird your loins mf'ers.
Your replies, yours and the one above, pointing out we do not have a republic, saved me the trouble.
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting over what's for lunch.
"Democracy means that 51% of the people can take everything from the other 49%
Thank God, we live in a republic."
In which the 0.0001% can take everything from the 99.999% Well done.
The brilliant paradigm created in this country is the Red Team/Blue Team model. I am guilty of believing it for most of my life, so I don't malign anyone who still does. You vote for a guy. He gets in office, and does nothing he promised. Maybe even does the opposite. Pundits say "he's been blocked by the [other] Team!" "He had to do it in order to get concessions from the other Team on something else he promised." At least 90% of the voting population believes this Big Lie.
Teams are used to control the overton window, nothing more. As fuck of all to do with the real world. It's all about perception management.
If you polarize everything it's easier to convince more people that you are correct by making everyone else out to be a Jew hunting savage that want's to kill everyone not a part of their tribe. If one team fails at getting the public to go along with a scam, they rename it and push it from the other side in increments. This is how the NRA became pro-gun control. Through political pandering and deception. The propping up of lousy choices, and then revealing one choice that literally stand out like all others. These "people" like to push it so that their guy always gets in. This is why things never get any better, because the system has been fully controled from the onset.
It's just the degree of control they have been able to get away with publicly has increased.
I also admit to believing for far too long.
A couple of days ago, the exact theme of this article ran through my mind. Synchronicity, I suppose.
Democratic representation (republic / democracy, doesn't matter what name you choose) for large groups is impossible, and because it's impossible, it is worse than monarchy or dictatorship. Just as the article correctly points out, the problem is that people believe it. As long as people believe the lie that the power-grubbers have the support of "the people" - even when the evidence shows any given individual conclusively that s/he has been losing under this system forever - we tolerate the abuse. Worse, we think there is "nobody" to blame. It's "the system". We then allow those who are gaining from this system a free pass. "It's not their fault: our system is broken." Under "democracy", no responsibility need ever be accepted, even when there are people making these decisions and benefiting from them.
The perfect screen for true evil to grow. And that evil is now global, and the odds of destroying it are 80-1 against. It's a David v Goliath battle at this point. Until we figure out that we are being lied to at such a fundamental level, however, we can't even begin to fight. This may actually be the reason both the Tea Party and Occupy (before the perversion of each) failed. People who "are in the position to represent our interests" do not do so. Trying to "get them to listen" is spitting in the wind.
I believe the juice in the red pill recognizing how the deep state operates. Most of the politicians are being blackmailed or threatened. Other people are suicided.
<<Worse, we think there is "nobody" to blame. It's "the system". >>
The average angry conservative wants to kill someone, but is afraid, the average guilty liberal wants to commit suicide, but is afraid. Perhaps with any luck some will meet each other and a portion of the population's desires will be sated.
We are a Republic. One with a whole lot of fucking stupid people in it.
There are two competing theories on government in America.
Theory 1: The American people do not get the government they deserve.
Theory 2: The American people get the government they deserve.
I am going to say you are in the Theory 2 camp.
I'm in the Brawndo camp. It's got 'lytes.
IT'S WHAT PLANTS CRAVE
Hollywood is a psy-op.
You know what? Goy believe the fucking lies they are told daily. They don't have to. They have free will courtesy of the creator. What theory camp am I in?
They are for the most part not stupid. They are distracted and ignorant by others' design.
Oh don't worry they will improve that by bringing in more low IQ "refugees".
To get any lower an IQ than many ameriKans they'd have to be comatose.
The US ceased being a republic as long ago as the 1870s-90s. The US is the historical successor to the British Empire, i.e., the Anglo-American imperial corporate-state.
One has the prerogative to continue to believe in the naive notion of a mythical American republic, but it does not exist and hasn't for 120-140 years.
I get the strangest looks from the sheeple whom I tell "I do not consent!"
They have no idea that principled non-voters even exist.
They call those people "clovers" over at EPAutos.com.
http://ericpetersautos.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/epautos_logo-300x2...
I'm 63 and as far as I am concerned .gov can go screw itself.
I mind my own business and ignore them. They are the enemy, moreso than terrorists. NATO is an aberration, like a gang. The countries in NATO cannot defend themselves one against one, they have to call in the gang to gang up on a nation they do not agree with.
one word - Bernays
Saucey.
The Q99X2 are not represented.
You have one of 3 choices.
Remain ignorant. This is the choice of the vast majority because it is the easiest to handle.
Understand and Revolt. The vast majority of those who understand will not revolt....and what i mean by revolt is actual armed revolution the likes of our Founding Fathers. This would include the military. Not eough of them even understand the Constititution much less know they have a sworn duty to protect it even from enemies from within. They have been brainwashed to believe those enemies are us. And the ones who understand but will not revolt won't simply because they know for a fact the Military looks at them as the enemy and will crush them.
Understand and Fly Under the Radar. That's the only option you have left. The smart ones know to just tune in and drop out. Don't play the game. I would even go so far as to say....limit your time on sites such as ZH. If you must....tune in just once a month for a whole day. Then walk away. Nothing will have changed. The Powers That Be will still be in place. The Great Ponzi will still be in place. There will be wars and rumors of wars. Earthquakes is various places. But they are yet nothing more than birth pains.
Don't play the game. Don't care about the game. It wasn't written for you. You're not big enough to play anyway. It's a big club....and you ain't in it. So why bother.
If it came from the mind of man.....it is inevitable that it is doomed to failure. The only difference between all the types of "isms" from Communism to Capitalism, from Socialism to Republicanism.....is the time it takes to fail. That's it and that's all.
The problem with the communists oppressing us is that they won't let you 'drop out' and fly 'under the radar.' Ask Randy Weaver about that...he was pretty much off the radar when a small army showed up and murdered his wife. Or ask Koresh about that...they did NOTHING but stay to themselves, and got gassed and burned to death.
No, dropping out won't work. Any time they get a need to oppress and murder, some dropout is an easy target.
Option 2 is the only REAL option left.
Ahhh...you see...you really DON'T understand.
Here's the real understanding. You're going to die anyway. But when you die fighting no one will give a shit. Look at the Founding Fathers and the Patriots. No one gives a shit. IF they did...we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. If we had given a shit before the War of Northern Aggression there would not have been a war. We would have let the South go its way
Nobody gives a shit about Randy Weaver or Koresh. Or else there would have been escalating moves of Revolution. Not so much in agreement with their beliefs, but in common cause with the idea of Liberty behind their belief. Ask the Black Power movement. Who gave a shit then....who gives a shit now. BlackLivesMatter ? Who gives a shit. So, they killed a few pigs. So what. No one gives a shit, Black folk are going to get in the ass WAY WORSE from the illegal hoards of Mexicans and Arabs than they ever got it from whitey. But by then no one will give a shit.
NO...my friend. Fighting and dying just makes you a terrorist and a pariah that the large majority of Americans will not give a shit about. It make your actions worthless. Koresh and Weaver were NOT flying under the radar. Their anti-government and establishment stance was WAY too PUBLIC.
What I'm talking about is CAMOFLAGE. So that the system thinks you're still part of it. But just barely. Stay out of the stock market casino. Don't vote. Do only the bare minimunm it takes to take care of your family and take what ever the Government will hand out. Drain their blood. Be a parasite. But just BARELY. Don't give back like voting....take. Don't agitate for freedom. Make your own definition of freedom and keep it to yourself.
Move to the lowest tax state in the nation. Go to a rural county in that state away from the urban hoard. Buy some land. Grow your own food. Raise your own livestock. Keep your nose out of anyone else's business. Don't put out an American Flag or the Gadsden Flag or the Stars and Bars. Keep those flags in your heart. Remember....stealth. Stealth in action, stealth in mind, stealth in body.
Be the remora on the shark. Be both parasite and stealthy individual.
very good Jumbotron
NOBODY GAVE A SHIT ABOUT JFK AND THAT WAS 1963.
I'd go a little further. Don't get married unless you are prepared to see your wife thrown under a steam roller. Don't have children unless you can watch them being raped and given drugs.
Yes, be a welfare queen. (get another bun in the oven.) A disability duke. (Another disk is slipping.)
As loathsome and hateful as they may be, they are the vanguard in the battle with the Ponzis
There is nothing I can overtly disagree with you on. However, it becomes a bit like a self imposed prison or even exile.
Free people go where they wish, when the wish, as they wish with no harm to others.
We will have to fight the autocrats and the beta-males who support them. Weak people like serfdom.
Jumbotron, thank you. Ecxcellent postulates. Reminded me of this:
Art of War PDF
Totally free, and there are other sources in PDF. I heartily encourage everybody I know to read it and use its principles as it applies to their particular circumstances.
Have no doubts, we, the people, are at war with the government, if ony because they started a war against we, the people, and, they're playing the long game. Being nearly 62, I am seriously reconsidering my decision to start collecting my SS checks in a few months, the reasdon being that I want as little to do with the federal government as possible and getting a monthly check would open the door wider to them, to my bank account, my personal life, etc.
Not that I really ever cared about SS. I paid in so little over the years - most of it in the 70s - that even at just 75% of my "stipend," I'd break even in a little over a year. I jsut hate the system with such passion that I'd rather do without than be "dependent" upon them.
I made my decision to pay in as little as possible when I was 16 and got my first paycheck. Now, some 45 years later, I feel the same way and this is now a test of the courage of my convicitions.
It's purely a moral decision, one which I take to heart, and I've always been a person with fairly high moral standards, even though I've seen the standards of our nation, our "leaders" and of most people be currupted and destroyed.
If I choose not to receive the benefits of a monthly SS check, I may be poorer finacially, but I believe I will be far richer in terms of conscience and commitment. Then I will have nothing holding me back from waging war with them when the time comes.
I'll be making this decision within the next two weeks. I am strongly leaning towards say NO and never collecting a penny, despite having paid in what little I did, without interest, I might add.
They can keep the money if by not jumping through their hoops, it will keep them far the fuck away from me. From my perspective, I've already won, having not paid in much, so why wake the beast? I could use the extra money (who couldn't), but, the question really becomes, "at what cost?"
Serious or frivolous comments welcome.
Most brilliant. Nature has already discovered the best means of survival. One only has to mimic these successful strategies.
Problem is my human Viking ancestory. My genes tell me better die gloriously fighting strong and free than die as a sucker fish attached parasitically to evil.
I know your method will bring down the beast, whilst mine ends in destruction to myself. "In a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero". That's the deciding factor for me, everyone has to make their own decision.
May Valhalla.....or Heaven welcome you.
Even as a Christian....albeit a VERY flawed one.....I will sing songs to you and your ancestors.
I'll take number three with some fresh ground prepper please.
Leaning on the Constitution to figure out whether you are "free" or not is a copout.
The Founding Fathers didn't need it - you shouldn't either.
Just ask yourself if you "handlers" have you trapped in a cage or not, and whether or not they beat you or starve you of sustenance.
You'll have your answer.
Act accordingly.
"How much longer before we are at the methanol stage?"
I thought we were at the Krokodil stage
remember all the news stories about how obama campaign was being run by millions internet contributors donating $5 to $20? only after election do we find out that the most of obama money actually came from wall-street and hollywood ...
45-55 split one election cycle......55-45 split the next.
Money and power centers will always hedge their bets in order to gain access.
Move along, nothing to see and no new insights after 5,000 years of political intrigue
Goldman's sack was a huge contributor, they shot Obama out of their ass like squid ink
Henry Gondorff would be very proud of this "long con" and the art of keeping the imbeciles conned this long.
Everthing is corrupted, there are no more noble causes no great challenges of our time bar to save our own souls from the filth and degredation of this world, those I love and care about is about all I will fight for,my nation has gone to the dark side and Ill be damned if I go with it the lesser of 2 evils is still evil I sanction none of them.
That's pretty well said -my nation has gone to the dark side and Ill be damned if I go with it
If you aren't using the driver's license which is permission to engage in commercial activity, then you have not knowingly given up your right to liberty. Since we have been programmed to think all of us are "drivers" we think we must have a license. Look in a legal dictionary for all official gov. words.
A license is paying a fee to break the law.
Driving is illegal until you pay the fee to be left alone.
Extortion, anyone?
What happened to 'Freedom of Travel'?
It was slowly going away, but the rate at which it which it's Etc. Etcdisappearing into the distance increased incredibly about 14 years ago.
Driving is a commercial activity, excercising your right to freedom of travel is not and therefore doesn't actually require a driver's license - don't try telling any uniformed thugs that, though. Likely just make your day suck even more.
You can't hunt deer without a license, it's ilegal until you pay the fee to break the law.
On and on......
I watched a news video this evening of a young girl crouching to slip under the crossing arm at a railroad, a perfectly logical thing for a person to do under the clear daylight conditions at the time. It was her unfortunate luck that cops were trapping drivers evading the arm right then, but they stopped long enough to issue this pedestrian a FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLAR TICKET for her "crime". Cops like these have a bright future when they realize Wall Street works on the same principles they're used to and pays so much better than police departments!
They are revenue stops and cops who do this have a dead conscience. They are ready to support autocracy as long as they get their paychecks and pensions.
It is a revenue citation because A. A warning would do the trick if it were actually a concern about citizen safety only. These come with fines and extra court costs if you try to fight. B. Every cop breaks every single revenue law they enforce. All of them, virtually all of the time. B. They cut each other favors. They give each other a pass, the local judge, the mayor, the DA or anyone else who is not out of favor. It is a club of privilege.
My progression is this: When the law is a joke and it should not be this leads to cynicsim. Cynicism leads to abuse. When abuse is in the open it is oppression. This is how revenue stops pave the way for oppression.
Good luck tomorrow my ZH friends and remember to have all your mandatory state documents in order before you travel, buy, sell, trade, take payment or engage in any of the activities of life and free men.

If you have not read the latest Executive Order that came out, do it. I blogged it and our President is giving data sellers just a carte blanche on selling our personal data, all because "the government knows what's best for you"..choke on that one.
http://ducknetweb.blogspot.ca/2015/09/excess-scoring-of-us-consumers-us.html
I think it was written by the current administrator of Medicare, who's a one time Goldman banker and United Healthcare subsidiary, Ingenix that everyone sued. He's an Algo Man and just last week, yet another lawsuit that was filed while he was President of Ingenix, now called Optum Insights and is kind of the front runners of healthcare with their math models. Be sure to tell your Senators to vote NO on his confirmation as Obama has nominated him to run CMS. He's in there as a temp now and look what he's already created.
I say this with the data selling as United Healthcare is a huge data seller, so thus convincing the President to put out an Executive Order to let everyone and anyone sell our data in the name of improving living conditions and healthcare in the US is total farce. It's one more step toward 1984 if you will as "excess scoring" buries everyone into a data hole they can't crawl out of as you are a risk to everyone and everything by the time they "score" every little thing you do. Here's the man, crook or what ever you think he should be called.
http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2015/09/another-united-healthcare-ingenix.html
As a side note, pay no attention to Loretta Lynch going after bankers as was stated, she used to represent United Healthcare with anti trust lawsuits and guess what, United owns a bank too, Optum Bank for health savings accounts. What's interesting is that United wants to sign all the members up so they can use a Master Card to drain out what they put in there. It's a full on custodial bank located in Utah with a few on deposit.
All cons work by praising the conned. Exceptional is the same deceit as special in education. Freedom is the delusional benefit you're claimed to possess. Your choice made by voting is part of the hustle.
If you cannot say No, you're not free.
In a democracy an individual is always a minority.
The purpose of democracy is to give power to the collective, one that does not actually include most of us in any way other than a "resource".
Democracy is the system by which one supposedly gives up the right of self determination for a one three hundred millionth say in what everybody will be forced to do.
At the end of all collectivism is force. It must always devolve into autocracy.
"Money illusion" is a massive error. It is the failure to adjust for inflation when comparing U.S. dollar amounts from different times. Look at these histories when you DO ADJUST for inflation!

Democracy is two wolves and one tiny little piglet sitting around the table and discussing what to have for lunch.
DEMOCRACY == SLAVERY (one form).
DEMOCRACY != FREEDOM
This was totally obvious to me by age 5 or 6. It took very little time or thought to recognize "if the majority can force me to obey their demands, I am a slave".
Why anyone ever falls for the notion that democracy is a good thing is beyond me. Any first grader can and should immediately see that is a blatant and obvious lie.
To live in a society will always claim a certain amount of our freedoms. Our constitution was supposed to limit that loss, at the hands of our federal government at least. That has failed. But even under the classical definition of slavery, we still have choice. Bad choices for sure, but as always the case is that most refuse to make the hard choices. This is how we are guided and manipulated into destructive situations. The easy choices are created, made available as an alternative to the only REAL choice....the hard choice. The hard choice WILL BE HARD, discomfort and short term loss for sure, but maybe even death. To have principles is defined by the price of those values. While our voices are small individually, when taken together, they are what defines us.
I refuse to be governed. I did not sign or agree-to the consitution or any other agreement to be governed or enslaved. I am not subject to what you say or claim, or to what any other human (or document) says or claims.
Seriously. Just because a pack of human predators sit around a table, smear ink on paper or parchment, and smear more ink at the bottom in the shape of their names... doesn't make anything POP into existence (a government, or agreement, or anything else real).
Furthermore, for ANYONE to claim taking those actions somehow obligates millions of people over millions of square miles and untold centuries to obey their demands... and the demands of others who following... is ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE, UTTER PREDATORY INSANITY. And absolutely predatory.
The following are absolute 100% fictions:
law, state, nation, official, authority, government.
Just because so many weak-minded fools are too stupid, clueless, brainwashed and/or braindamaged to comprehend these simply facts of reality... doesn't change what are the facts of reality.
While some of the so-called "founding fathers" made a few insightful comments doesn't mean they were anything but tyrants. THEY WERE TYRANTS. They came to a continent that was already populated, killed off a huge number of natives (most of whom were peaceful (or started out peaceful until they started to be killed or enslaved)), then claimed what THEY write on paper somehow magically obligates everyone then and forever.
ABSOLUTE EVIL.
ABSOLUTE INSANITY.
ABSOLUTE NONSENSE.
ABSOLUTE PREDATORY TYRANNY.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner.
Well then somethings wrong. We have 535 Con-gressional wolves in DC dictating to 300 million sheep.
Wolves have teeth and the desire to use them. Those 535 wolves own the guns and the sole power to use them at will.
No representation without taxation!
When your in the voting booth you are consenting to the system as a whole. This takes awhile to to figure out for most,,, including me,,, but there's your consent.
In Australia we are one step even further removed. They don't even ask for your consent. They demand it - voting is compulsory.
The politicians then have the gumption to talk of "having a mandate" to the Australian people, in a two party preferred, compulsory voting system.
You bet your balls we're not free.
Won't stop the moron sheeple from thinking they have power and freedumbs....and if you explain to them why they don't then they will call you unamerican (what an insult when the land is mainly full of moron lazy fucktards) and probably a terrorist and tell you to leave. The average American mind has two modes: dumb and dumber.
Somebody on this forum had a small child who had a car seat with a steering wheel and a horn. When the car was moving, the kid thought he was driving the car. This is how I think of the voter in a democracy.
Alexander Tyler
A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.? ?From that moment on,? ?the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury,? ?with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy.
Alexander Tyler
The typical American believes freedom and democracy are synonyms.? ?In fact they are antonyms.
The example most commonly used is the image of two foxes and a hen voting on whether to have chicken for dinner.

Pundits will argue that China’s economic viability is limited be-
cause it is not a democracy.? ?I say the opposite is true,? ?that it is
precisely because it is not a democracy that China will likely be
so successful.
What is of vital importance for economic success is eco-
nomic freedom,? ?meaning the protection of private property,? ?the
rule of law,? ?and minimal regulation and taxation,? ?not the right
to vote.? ?One could reasonably argue that with economic free-
dom,? ?free elections are of secondary value,? ?and without it,? ?vot-
ing? (?suffrage?) ?has no value.? ?A choice between oppressors is
tantamount to no choice at all.? ?Remember,? ?the old Soviet Union
had elections and almost everybody voted,? ?the alternative being
frozen toes in Siberia.
The word democracy is used loosely these days,? ?and it is use-
ful to remember that one of the primary reasons for America’s
early economic success was that our founding fathers recog-
nized a distinction between democracy,? ?which they understood
as populist government with counterproductive implications
for capitalism,? ?and republican government,? ?which stressed
checks and balances,? ?such as the Electoral College and stag-
gered senatorial terms,? ?designed to keep the evil forces of
democracy at bay.?
James Madison,? ?the father of the Constitution,? ?writing in the Federalist?
Papers,? ?said,? “?Democracies? ?.? ?.? ?.? ?have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the
rights of property?; ?and have in general been as short in their
lives as they have been violent in their death.?”
After the Constitution was ratified,? ?Benjamin Franklin was asked,? “?What form
of government have you given us,? ?Mr.? ?Franklin??” ?His answer:
?“A republic if you can keep it.” Perhaps if we could have kept it
there would have been no need for me to write this book.
For those of you who incorrectly believe that the United
States is supposed to be a democracy,? ?just check the Constitu-
tion.? ?The word democracy does not appear once.? ?However,? ?Arti-
cle IV,? ?Section IV,? ?reads,? “?The United States shall guarantee to
every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.?” ?If
you are still unclear,? ?just recite the? “?Pledge of Allegiance?” ?and
listen carefully to the words.

Our one-man,? ?one-vote democratists who would remake the world in our image and whose ideology has guided foreign policy for the Bush-Obama decade failed to understand what our Founding Fathers taught:
A democracy,? ?which they detested,? ?empowers majorities to tyrannize minorities.? "?In questions of power,?" ?Jefferson admonished,? "?let no more be heard of confidence in man,? ?but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the constitution.?"
Democratize the Middle East along one-man,? ?one-vote majority-rule principles,? ?without guarantees of minority rights,? ?and majority tribes and sects will use their democratically won power to crush those minorities.
?"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”
-Winston Churchill.
Democracy is 2 wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for lunch, and its got to a point now where the 'sheep' in this is the productive citizen. The unproductive part of society is the majority who demand more than they give, and they will vote to take more of that distribution.
“Democracy only works until people realize they can vote themselves an ever bigger piece of the pie”

“A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.” Thomas Jefferson

"Democracy" would only have continued to be relatively real, rather than a fake, IF the people had retained control over the public money supplies. After the international banksters were able to recapture control over the public "money" supplies, everything else automatically became worse, faster ... After the public "money" supply was effectively privatized, the funding of ALL sociopolitical insitutions more and more became dominated by their funding. After the people lose control over the public money supply, then "democracy" is nothing more than a cruel joke. Since the public "money" supply has been about 99% privatized, "democracy" has been about 99% destroyed.
Theoretically speaking,
from President Lincoln:
"The government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credit needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. The privilege of creating and issuing money is not only the supreme prerogative of the government but it is the government's greatest creative opportunity. By adoption of the these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity."
Or from Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King:
"Until the control of the issue of currency and credit is restored to government and recognized as its most conspicuous and sacred responsibility, all talk of the sovereignty of Parliament and of democracy is idle and futile."
The issue is WHO CONTROLS THE MONEY SUPPLY.
That is what has been PRIVATIZED, although that legalized counterfeiting by private banks continues to be enforced by the government against the rest of the population! Creating the money supply, as a public utility, in ways which strives to benefit everyone equally, should be government's supreme prerogative, and greatest creative opportunity, and its most conspicuous and sacred responsibility.
Instead, giving away the power to make "money" out of nothing to private banks was the most insane domestic policy that a government could ever adopt! However, it is easy to explain the history of how that actually happened. It was simply the history of the application of the methods of organized crime to take control over governments, in a runaway spiral of the success of fraud enabling those who did that to constantly be able to get away with even more frauds. That started more slowly and secretly. However, it was on an exponential growth curve, so that it now is becoming blatantly obvious to even mainstream morons that the banksters have become the new royalty, who are above the law, because they effectively control the political processes.
THE PROBLEM is that after one faces the social facts that the banksters ARE the biggest gangsters, who were able to take control over governments through applying the methods of organized crime, all THEORIES about what monetary reforms should be are still born in that situation. THEORIES of what "money" should be are actually irrelevant when what money IS has already become runaway frauds, backed by force, while those who are able to do that have collectively become a group of trillionaire mass murderers.
The REAL SOLUTIONS depends on facing the facts regarding the REAL PROBLEMS, which are that money is backed by murder, and therefore, the best organized gangs of criminals have taken control over the money system, and one of the primary ways that they were able to do that was through assassination of the best politicians who refused to be bribed or intimidated, in order to become the puppets of the banksters. Thereby, the governmental powers to rob, and to kill to back up the power to rob, have been effectively privatized, by the real control over the power to rob transferred to the banksters.
The sovereign powers of "We the People" over the public "money" supplies have already been 99% PRIVATIZED, and that is now a runaway situation, which is driving the government to become the worst enemy of the People, because the government is actually being controlled by the banksters.
Given that overwhelming vast majority of the People do not understand, and do not want to understand, any of the basic social facts about their monetary system, it is almost impossible to imagine how BAD the future psychotic breakdowns of the established systems could eventually become, and therefore, just as difficult to speculate about what could be rebuilt after that ...
Peak Democracy was reached when the franchise was restricted to male householders and since the franchise was extended to illegals, unemployables, the criminally insane, yoof and particularly women it has been downhill all the way.
Democracy works because its rules are objective and verifiable: one person one vote; get majority of votes, do whatever you want.
On the other hand, freedom is much more vague.
Your problem goes way beyond voting.
You are surrounded by invasion of the body snatcher level insanity due to early indoctrination by the murder state and its demonic minions.
The predator has already dominated your mind with its Psychic Dictatorship.
True. Its Zombie land in the Homeland.
The problem is that our Republic has been replaced with a 'democracy' poisoned by the 'religions' of liberalism and islam.
'Democracy' is a fancy word for mob rule.
The importation of illegal aliens and islamic Nazi's has diluted our freedom with poison, the more that arrive and steal votes, the faster the poison acts. Add in the leftist propaganda indoctrination in schools and on the internet and the death of a free society is assured to quicken.
Don't forget those rigged computerized voting machines that probably had much to do with Bush, Obama getting elected as well as GMO Labeling and Medical Canabis
Initiatives being defeated by squeakers despite polls showing for instance that 93% of consumers want their food labeled.
