Carefully screening immigrant applicants for their ability to self-support and culturally assimilate is just common sense. Europe's demographic aging issues come in large part from the fact that their young people can't find jobs and are still living with their parents instead of marrying and forming their own households. Sometimes we read something, and want to make a point. Often the sarcastic type comments contain some phrase that seems perfectly poised for a response.
I am a conservative but hate speech is not free speech and it's clearly not covered by the first amendment. Only appropriate and approved speech that doesn't offend minorities is proper free speech. Organizations such as the ADL and SPLC would be ideal in determining what speech is legal under the first amendment and what is not. Anti-semitic speech lands one in prison in Europe, as it should, and it will land Americans in prison soon enough. Hate speech is not free speech and the Supreme Court is going to weigh in on that soon so accept it and submit you Nazi white sickos.

But 'hate' is very subjective...who gets to define what hate speech IS? The standby definitions are speech that causes great distress to its target, and is based on the recipient being of a particular race, creed, gender, orientation, whatever.
But the First Amendment makes no provision for citizens to be protected from the distress of being spoken about. And it sets no limits on who or what can BE spoken about. It does not categorize 'free speech' into acceptable or unacceptable categories. It simply says we have the freedom to speak without government interference.
It is up to US to enforce the social penalties for those who speak abusively about us or our friends. We can speak right back, shout down or ignore them altogether, boycott them and shun them. But it is NOT the government's job to shut them down FOR us! If they can shut THEM down, they can shut YOU down someday when the subjective definitions change, and people decide they don't like what YOU are saying.
The only speech that NEEDS protection is the unpopular speech. And if you give government ANY ability to silence it, you give the citizen NO RECOURSE in removing an abusive government, because anyone speaking out could then be shut down by that very same government...think about that, please, before giving your rights away. Even if it DOES seem like a reasonable restriction.

Friends, I am in Germany, and it is getting worse by the day.
Maybe they could still wake up in the UK, but around here it is too late. Nothing can be done anymore, and nobody can stop those thousands and thousands entering Germany each day.
All train connections to Austria have been cancelled, but they come anyway, walking.
They German army, the Bundeswehr has today moved out of their barracks to make room for refugees. That means the army retreated when Arabs approached without any resistance.
A city official in Munich started crying at a press conference since the authorities are overwhelmed and just don't have the manpower to do anything and help.
The only reason there is no total collapse of infrastructure in Germany yet is the many thousands of volunteers feeding and helping the refugees.
But that won't last long any more. It is getting colder and many refugees in the camps are getting sick. Once the epidemics start the volunteers will stop helping. Then disaster will strike.
Sorry I can't report anything better. we are fucked beyond repair. I checked our passports, we are ready to leave.

IMHO, its an excellent opportunity for the EU / UN to send in PKO Troops to Set Up Camps and protect Civilians - stemming the Mass Migration of Refugees iin the process.
