You think the fucktard is even concerned about the entire pacific ocean being radio active??

Oil companies cannot make $6,000,000,000 per quater if diesel catches on in the US and people are getting 40+ MPG.

Dear Concerned Portlander Shill,

Because the Suburbans sell at 40x plus the rates of VW TDI's; we should fine Chevy about $720 billion ($18 x 40) to make it less than even.  Also, your state and the two south of you need to pay your share of the large Carbon Footprints being left by your slow burn to the ground caused by the UN and other leeches propagating the Global Warming Fear Mongering.  BTW - 200 acres of burning forest equal 100,000,000 TDI's for 5 years.

Sincerely,

An unconcerned Crocodile

Never mind that it produces less carbon dioxide than a Chevy volt. (Counting total emissions including those required to produce and dismantle it). Of course global warming is only a problem when the elite say it is a problem... And things created by Nazis, (like nationalized health care), are only bad when progressives (modern Nazis) say it is. Now go back to being a busy body.

While I'm not defending the company, sounds like it's all part of a(nother) well-oiled attack on Germany, the notes and the company being 'caught' (ratted out?). The note was not done by some typical Portlander, imo.

Who simply loves to hate on Germany?

Did you know that German mfgs  DE-TUNE their engines for US market? Also softly sprung for the crappy USA roads.

That was in the mid 80s I don't know about now.

Edit : I had a VW Scirocco when living in the States in 1982.   They said the compression ratios on US models were different than German VW's   LOWER for the crappy gasoline.

Standard regular gas here in Europe is 95 octane and absolutely strictly controlled.

Germans take their cars seriously.  If you ever bought a used car from a German here it comes with FULL documentaion and receipts of anything ever done to their car.

Germans are "only following orders".

As for US gas, my 64 GMC 4x4 runs just fine on what I got to put in it. I run about 30,000 miles a year on it, which means I've racked up a good 500,000 just since I bought it in 95. Hard to say exactly since I could give a shit less about wasting my time tracking every quart of oil and gallon of gas I put in it. I turn the key. It starts. If it doesn't start, I fix it myself.

The EPA regulations were made up extremely stringent, on cars and probably not on trucks and other commercial vehicles, purposly to keep the european diese lcars  out of the american market. So to favor that POS of Tesla. Just another free market american initiative.

VW admitted to it. Their CEO lost his job. Shareholders are piling on the lawsuits. If you own a VW diesel you'll be invited to join one of the hundreds of class-action lawsuits. VW is gonna sink and be bought for spare change by a Chinese manufacturing group.

No EPA required.

Please remember the following:

The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay those who are of upright conduct.

Their sword shall enter their own heart, And their bows shall be broken.

A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous.

The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

You appear to be among the wicked; not a good place to end your life.  Just saying.

Trust a carburetor. Stochiometric ratios, fuel/air ratios, and jet size will never let you down.

Adjust those floats, adjust that accelerator pump, dial in those squirters, check your plugs.

My brain is the engine computer. Timing, A/F ratio, and lots of other fun stuff that can optimize your engine's performance.

And only you are in control. No computer. No government agent.

Holley Carbs forever! (or Edlebrock/Rochester if that's your thing).

Mikunis and Keihins for motorcyles.

All the aircraft mechanics at Brussels airport drive TDI's.

They have to drain the sumps on the aircraft to check for water and that tank goes behind the hangar to fil their cars  LOL

Just add a liter of 10 W oil to every 50 liters of Jet A  (kerosene) because its kind of dry.

I know one guy who actually runs his diesel off of French fry oil.  He has  deal with one of the fast food restaurants to take used oil.

Wow, let me write this down...

Can run diesel off of used fryer oil.

Gosh, nobody would have ever thought of that over on this side of the Atlantic. Thanks, man.

I know of a lot of people who jumped at this idea. But five gallons of fry vat oil doesn't stretch very far when you have 10,000 motorists clamoring for it.

Seriously, how much restaurant waste do you think gets produced in a year and then contrast that to the demand for motor fuel per annum.

As for the J-10 trick, every aviation mechanic in the world knows about that. Small scale corruption in action.

This is ironically funny.

Hitlers brainchild, has a problem with toxic gases. Conquers the world, only to crash and burn in the worst possible way. History repeating itself. It's like Hitlers spirit incorporated. LOL.

Whoever has time to write funny notes, print them out, then runs around town to identify owners of that particular engine and harassing them needs to be put in a forced labor camp to plant potatoes for Portlands homeless!

On a side note:

Volkswagen's PHAETON was an absolute TURD, that needs to be flashed down the toilet. I had one. Total waste of money. Spent more time at the VW mechanic shop then in my garage. Mine was not the only one. The mechanic told me that it was a total failure.

How does the note writer know what the emissions are? Did they test them themselves?

SOMEONE told them...and despite the fact that they did not, and probably could not, verify this, still they believe.

SOMEONE plugged the car's computer into the 'magic box', and read the numbers. How would anyone know whether this is even true or not? With no independent way for the average person to manually verify this independently, you're taking their word for it.

They never stop to consider that if the computer can be tweaked to read the wrong numbers by the manufacturer, it can also be tweaked by someone with an agenda to read a different set of wrong numbers.

How would anyone ever know?

Every major Bank in America right now has Nazi ties, Ibm has nazi ties, Wall-Street funded the Nazi party, if you get down to it every electrical car on the road burns more coal and pumps out more emissions than any diesel truck, the only difference is where those emissions are being pumped out, instead of coming out of the tail end of the car it comes out of the smoke stack at a coal plant.

If people REALLY didn't use a corporations products or services because of their links to Nazi organizations and emissions, most of the banks that are destroying the world right now wouldn't even exist.

As for VW, small fish are small fish, I start caring about these small fish when the big fish are dealt with.

In Germany they even put the car on the dyno and test brake fluid for water.  Very strict

GM? They are doing everything illegal that can be legally done. And before you lose your mind over that bit of injustice just wait until the Germans out the Americans on what Ford and GM have been up to. At least as bad if not worse. But Ford and GM have been paying off Congress for decades, EPA will roll over like a trained dog, they have nothing whatsoever to worry about there. Americans will still buy the cars no matter what the lies told about them (just read around the thread here) and offshore sales will hardly change, nobody in China or S. America gives a damn about emissions levels.

VW is going to take a hit because they tried to sleaze their way into the US market. Only Ford and GM can sleaze in this neck of the woods!
