Like Mary Jo K., some deaths speak louder than life, but when control of information is allowed to be commoditized and “truth” / repetition of alternative versions / lies are available to the highest bidder thereby subjecting and convincing enough of one’s constituency their wellbeing depends on your wellbeing, even murder becomes irrelevant if not accepted and even celebrated.

Unfortunately, the US is not exceptional in this regard at the present time.  I wish it weren’t so, but history does seem to repeat.

And before we, as Christians become too smug in our observance of this, consider the original “Lion of Judah” – King David and his dispatching of the husband of the eventual mother of his son Solomon into an untimely death by way of military capriciousness.

Please, do not in any way think I equate the Clinton administration with that of the Davidic kingship, but in this regard, i.e. the presence of evil, there is certainly something to be said.

The most obvious difference being David never considered denial or deflection as an option when his adviser confronted him with his failure.
