This Is How Russia Handles Terrorists: Moscow Releases Video Of Syria Strikes
Now that Russia has officially begun conducting airstrikes on anti-regime forces operating in Syria, commentators, pundits, and analysts around the world will be keen to compare and contrast the results of Moscow’s efforts with the year-old US-led air campaign against ISIS targets in Syria and Iraq.
Clearly, Russia has a very real incentive to ensure that its airstrikes are effective.
Preserving the global balance of power means preserving the Assad regime and, by extension, ensuring that Iran maintains its regional influence.
On the other hand, the US and its regional allies actually have an incentive to ensure that their airstrikes are minimally effective. That is, for the US, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, the idea is not to kill Frankenstein, but rather to ensure that he doesn’t escape the lab.
As we documented earlier today, Russia wasted no time launching strikes against anti-regime targets once the country's lawmakers gave the official go-ahead and the West wasted no time accusing Russia of breaking protocol by targeting "modetrate" Syrian rebels (like al-Qeada) that aren't aligned with ISIS.
It's against that backdrop that we present the following footage released by the Russain Ministry of Defense which depicts the opening salvo in The Kremlin's battle against terrorism in the Middle East (note the vehicle traveling towards the compound at a particularly inopportune time towards the end).
And predictably, Western media reports regarding civilian casualties and Russia's alleged targeting of "moderate" rebels (as opposed to ISIS) were countered by Moscow's sharp-tongued spokeswoman and US foreign policy critic extraordinaire Maria Zakharova.
Via RT:
Russia has struck eight Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) targets in Syria, the country’s Defense Ministry said, adding that "civilian infrastructure" was avoided during the operations.
“Today, Russian aerospace force jets delivered pinpoint strikes on eight ISIS terror group targets in Syria. In total, 20 flights were made,” spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, said.
“As a result, arms and fuel depots and military equipment were hit. ISIS coordination centers in the mountains were totally destroyed,” he added.
Konashenkov said that all the flights took place after air surveillance and careful verification of the data provided by the Syrian military. He stressed that Russian jets did not target any civilian infrastructure and avoided these territories.
“Russian jets did not use weapons on civilian infrastructure or in its vicinity,” he said.
Reuters reported that Russia targeted opposition rebel groups in Homs province instead of Islamic State forces. The agency cited Syrian opposition chief Khaled Khoja, who put the death toll of the bombardment at 36 civilians.
"Russia is intending not to fight ISIL [Islamic State], but to prolong the life of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad," Khoja said.
Similar claims were made by the BBC, Fox News, Al Jazeera and numerous other news outlets.
Moscow harshly criticized the reports, labeling them an information war.
“Russia didn’t even begin its operation against Islamic State… Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov didn’t even utter his first words at the UN Security Council, but numerous reports already emerged in the media that civilians are dying as a result of the Russian operation and that it’s aimed at democratic forces in the country (Syria),” Maria Zakharova, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, told media.
“It’s all an information attack, a war, of which we’ve heard so many times,” she added.
Zakharova also said that she was amazed by the scale and speed of what she called “info injections” into social networks such as “photos of alleged victims” that appeared on the web as soon as the Russian operation began.
“What can I say? We all know perfectly how such pictures are made,” she said, remembering a Hollywood flick ‘Wag the Dog,’ which described the US media reporting on a fake war in Albania.
For those who missed it, see here for our assessment of the Western media's take on the first round of Russian airstrikes (and by the way we, like Maria, were surprised at how quickly the propaganda machine kicked into high gear). Here is the bottom line:
The bottom line going forward is that the US and its regional and European allies are going to have to decide whether they want to be on the right side of history here or not, and as we've been careful to explain, no one is arguing that Bashar al-Assad is the most benevolent leader in the history of statecraft but it has now gotten to the point where Western media outlets are describing al-Qaeda as "moderate" in a last ditch effort to explain away Washington's unwillingness to join Russia in stabilizing Syria. This is a foreign policy mistake of epic proportions on the part of the US and the sooner the West concedes that and moves to correct it by admitting that none of the groups the CIA, the Pentagon, and Washington's Mid-East allies have trained and supported represent a viable alternative to the Assad regime, the sooner Syria will cease to be the chessboard du jour for a global proxy war that's left hundreds of thousands of innocent people dead.

Russia is striking the pet, ergo the owner barks. Like the bitch that it is.
Western propaganda is revving up. Do not get fooled by it.

No matter.
Whoever controls the airspace will control the narrative, the propaganda, the punch-lines, the sequels and the commercials.
Was that John McCain driving up to the compound? Poor guy...
Maria can "wag my dog" anytime.
This is getting interesting!

Terrorists run from Russian government. Run terrorists, run!
In Soviet American terrorists run the government.

Why do their gun cameras seem better than our gun cameras?
There must be some gun camera escalation going on.
The winner of all this will probably be showing terrorists being blasted to smithereens in 8K.

Old trick-- "defective" munitions.
I'm mildly curious how the House of Saud is going to get their porch negro Obama to pump up the folks back home about how we need to have "American boots on the ground" there...again. Cuz' day chure ain't a-gonna' send any of them sheikhy princes into da' shit. Nope, they need old-fashioned cannon fodder for this. Maybe all those fine, strapping young "Syrian refugees" now lounging around detention camps in Southern europe. The House of Saud pays mercs pretty good, doesn't it?
Winter Olympics in Russia, Putin gave a stern warning to Saudi Arabia: any terrorst attack and we will take it right back to your homeland
It is time to deal with Saudi Arabia and its Wahabhits who are responisble for Al Qaida, IS, Salafists...even Taleban
90% of the Muslim world would agree
It amazes me that Assad hasn't been assasinated yet.
Who would do that? Not the actual politican opposition within Syria as they have signed a ceasefire with Assad (presumably with some encouragement for both sides from Putin). The only likely candidates are the US and Israel. Given there is irrefutable evidence that both have supported ISIS, that could be used as a causus belli for an act of war. That would then open the way for war crimes charges against Obama and Nuttyahu. Do they really want to go there?
You forgot to mention 9/11.

They use $400 Go Pro Hero cameras. We use $900,000 Lockheed cameras.
+100 - - there's the set-up..
And the spike!
"We use $900,000 Lockheed cameras."
I reckon the defence dept. should go the whole hog and outfit the Air Force with the more expensive cameras so they can finally identify their ISIS targets. Seems they can't find any with the current gear they've got.
the equipment must not be good enough as they never managed to find ISIS.
Strangly enough somehow they knew straight away the Russians bombed civilians.
Where do you think Lockheed get their cameras? from GoPro with just a small mark-up.
No matter, the message is clear, you can't have Syria unless you go through Russia and China.
Please check the scorecard.
you cannot have Iran unless you go through Russia and China.....statements were made loud and clear except our media seemed to have missed them
The Chinese need to break in their shiny new gear and get some taget practice to hone their skills.
not so much target practice as expeditionary operation at the far end of a long tether.
Kinda' like the U.S. Army, although some of them got better.
- Ned
Looks to me the Russians need a lot of target practice.
It looks like the first explosion missed the building the cross hairs were on entirely. Then the second scatter fire seems to be hitting an empty hill side.
Maybe I'm missing something, but is their aim way off?
The US guided weapons aren't so hot. The only videos you see of them in action are those that actually hit the target. Given the US spray-n-pray policy, there will be many more that miss. After all, where is the profit in something that hits the target 100% of the time? The need to be sufficiently good to provide selected spectacular footage as a marketing gimmick but no better.
On closer examination of the video I wonder if these segments are just different views of one explosion as seen in the last segment? The others just show shrapnel etc from that explosion.
If you look elsewhere online you will see that it is an underground bunker which was "FSA's" headquarters, who additionally claimed one of their leaders was killed in the air strike so they didn't miss hehe. This footage is from UAVs and not the Su24s which dropped the bombs as the small explosions you see are fuel air micro explosions away from the main blast which happens off camera for the first two explosions.

Nice find. Langley loosing assets.
No problems, happy days.
no one gives a fuck what you think. grow up, conscious cunt
You are not missing anything. The Russian munitions are not the most accurate - though what they lack in targeting quality they more than make up for in quantity. If the Russians feel good enough about you to drop a bomb on you, they are going to drop enough bombs to get the point across. They do not care if they kill the whole fucking block. Real war is real hell.
I think the Chinese if they participate, will probably be restricted to handing out chop suey and water bottles. The Chicoms haven't seen any live action since their last fight with the Viets. They ain't gonna be much when the shootin starts.
Maybe they can help "disarm" the US sponsored "moderate" Jihadis when those guys turn over their US weapons and supplies as they make their way to join Mama Merkel.

Even though she isn't quite as hot as the Prosecutie, I would still bang her in a heartbeat.
Why do we have to have so many dykes and bitches for spokespeople (and people in general) over here? It fucking sucks.
If I do get the money, I will strongly consider moving over to Russia or somewhere in Eastern Europe. Seems to me the only place in the world to live anymore that isn't batshit insane and has quality females.
I spent this summer in Eastern Europe and have to agree with you
as for dykes and bitchez question it coudl be to do with creating more divisions across society which makes it easier to rule over us as per this great book:
http://www.amazon.com/Democracy-Incorporated-Managed-Inverted-Totalitari...
Divide and conquer is such a versatile tool. The only way around it is not to fall for it.
"Why do we have to have so many dykes and bitches for spokespeople (and people in general) over here? It fucking sucks."
Really? Like in the US and Canada? Where efforts are made for boys to be girls and girls to be boys? Where boys can't be men and women can't assume a traditional role without being abused? Where the war on the family, the war on gender and the sexual confusion of young children is public policy? Been to a University lately? I went to my alma mater, the University of Lethbridge recently and left in disgust.
People can laugh at the "conspiracy theories" of social engineering, but your comment shows it to be the case. The captured MSM merely parrots the larger agenda ( which is supported by the .1 percent who make policy and otherwise a minority).
Regarding your commentary about moving overseas, I agree. The only reason I'm not there already is beacause I can't take my kids with me. If, as a welfare tycoon, you're not tied down, I'd be putting a plan in place PFQ / RFN. If you're not tied down and if you're not working towards leaving then it's your own fault so come on at least serve as a beacon of vicarious awesomeness. At best, in the West, the rose is off the bloom and we're compromised from top to bottom, and at worst, well, prepare your homestead.
For those men who want to understand our modern western society and the role of men, I will show you "The Red Pill Society":

Extremely good info on their, thank you for sharing it. If you want a great experience do the Sterling Mens Weekend as well. Well worth the money. Goes into detail on a lot of the subject matter on the site you posted.
because real women make Barrie angry, that he isn't one.
I haven't seen much of Marie Harf snce her jobs for ISIS comment back in February.
"Longer term, we cannot kill every terrorist around the world, nor should we try," Harf said on CNN. "How do you get at the root causes of this? Look, it might be too nuanced an argument for some, like I've seen over the past 24 hours some of the commentary out there, but it's really the smart way that Democrats, Republicans, military commanders, our partners in the Arab world think we need to combat this."
I think the strings broke, or were broken, when she became pregnant. We can't have an icky pregnant lady representing the US, can we?
Prosecutie is 35! Yay for women not girls.
Photoshop.
The good news is that Google Earth should be able to prove that. In fact, GE should be able to give us a live feed right this very instant.

Remember when Russia showed the war room and radar data on the Malaysian 777 shot down over Ukraine, an honest expose.
So I believe Putin when he says he will take out ISIS and leave Assad alone.
And for all the Putin bashers, sorry his approach is refreshing to the point and not soaking in BS. And Maria is hot.

How is it that Assad was such a great guy in 2009 (having a nice dinner with John Kerry and his wife) and shortly after that, Kerry is comparing him to Hitler?
The Western media is notorious for using make-up, photoshop techniques and plastic surgery to promote a wholly unrealistic "beauty" ideal for women. The aim is to play in on feelings of insecurity among young women, so they will begin to spend money on products and services in an attempt to attain this promoted ideal. It's the worst instance of consumer culture.
What makes this doubly troubling and creepy is that this very aggressively promoted "beauty" standard in the Western media bears more than a passing resemblance to what is also advocated by right-wing, White Supremacy groups.
Elrik. I up voted you because I agree our perception of beauty is distorted. The Dove Evolution film sums it all up in 60 secs.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iYhCn0jf46U
Strange, most of the right-wing, White Supremacy types I see seem to be anchored to wal-mart cart whales. But then again, advocating one thing and practicing another is not exactly a rarity these days.
Gee, did I offend the blubber sensitive?
People find beautiful what they do. That simple.
I like Danish modern designer stuff from the 50s, so does everyone else.
You have to pay big to buy it, because other people like it too.
There is no marketing for used stuff.
Why do we like it, because it is GOOD, its that simple.
Social engineering sucks, just leave people alone.
Uh this is about Russia airstrikes.
Why bring race into everything?
What's the agenda?
Will Russia be compensating USSA taxpayers for all those HumVees, and other weaponry they provided to crISIS? And were those VW pickups diesel?
This tag team match between USSA and Russia should be very good for MIC profits. Much better for them to proxy it in someone elses backyard, than trash eachother's...waiting to see if China, Iran or Israel jump off the ropes onto the ref...
at least give us the scrap so we can sell it to China.
At this point the West can either start world war 3 or watch their satanic experiment go up in smoke.
I've made the comment several times that with Russia ( although not being perfect ) having an infrastructure which actually cares about defending their homeland than they do larding out free government money to contractors - we can expect their toys to be somewhere between acutely effective and world class, for a fraction of the price.
Futhermore, I've stated that given the toxic political environment for supporting the "rebels" ( read terrorists ), ciombined with the momentum the syrian army has, combined with the engineered migrant crisis, combined with the increasing failure of western policy ( cities falling to taliban ), combined with the withered ranks of the jihadis makes it the perfect shit storm for Russia to roll in.
Care to give some details about how they would start "World War 3" and how it would help their cause?
Sure. Given the west's challenges in syria ( after 4 years of training and sending in terrorists with no gains), and the apoplectic call from their ally saudi arabia for a military removal of assad and the recent help of Russia, we face a situation where Syria / Assad / Russia takes control of the country, and 1 or more american or israeli or coalition aircraft gets downed by Syria's existing anti aircraft defense, or 1 of the new interceptors ( russian or syrian ) in the sky. At that point the Syrian Arab Airforce becomes persona non grata and the US / Israel launches sorties into Syria. Syria responds with their anti aircraft infrastructure and downs more western or israeli planes.
At this point the neo con faction in the US government / Pentagon figure we are at war with Russia and launch the missiles that they have recently placed in germany (against international treaties). At that point Russia deploys the requisite missiles to intercept those launched by the US in a moment of unbridled idiocy, then launches their own salvo of nuclear MIRV warheads towards the US from submarines.
So yeah let's take stock of the situation. Russia has a world class anti ballistic missile sytem in place to stop incomnig missiles, as well as submarines which are almost undetectible and have nuclear warheads which feature a missile with say up to 10 warheads, which spread out, some of which are nuclear, and some of which are bunk.
So the West (US) is wiilling to risk a nuclear war given their first strike doctrine ignoring the enemy's assets, over the petty machinations of fighting over a small middle east country. There is your details.
CD, I'd like to add to your reasoning, the west is broke and in debt we can never re-pay, the only way out of for our "leaders" is to admit the problem and start a re-set of our economy or they can attempt to save the system they use to rule over us by taking resources they don't control (adding collatoral to the system). The breed of people leading over us don't admit mistakes and never take the blame for anything, it seems to me that it is completely in their nature and in their character to risk other people's lives so that they can get the resources they need under their control so they can keep ruling over us.
Neo-con faction?
Oh contrere, mon frere.
This is a progressive owned shit-show. One started by none other than bloody hands Hillary, one of the progressive assclown criminals major hero's. What I have been saying over and over is coming to light----- how Hillary led the charge to destabilize Libya and Syria and start the whole ball rolling.

"Care to give some details about how they would start "World War 3" and how it would help their cause?"
Mebbe with the pivot to Aisa ? Seeing as how the Chicoms lack battlefield experience and Shogun Abe could use the opportunity to fit out his defence forces with ever more expensive military hardware. The US and Japan might see it as a walkover.
'They' being the US of course. The Ukraine/Syria/etc stuff against Russia has always been about war. War is the ultimate reset for crap economies, providing you are on the loaning side and not the receiving side for post-war financial recovery.
I'm sure that there are plenty imbiciles in the USA doped up on 5 perscriptions, GMO, HFCS, sodium benzoate, Aspertame/Sucralose, tortured animal meat/pink slime, etc. who will immediately fall for this.
For me, I am past the point of caring. There is nothing most of us can humanly do to awaken minds, have them aspire for higher ideals than watching the Kardashians, and unite them for a purposeful end.
At the end of the day, even accounting for the fact that reality and perception diverged enormously since 1941 in 'the land of the free' and the narrative of the day is renforced by school and media... People have a choice to pursue truth or not.
We are at the point where a good 35% of our population is so dumb and devoid of good will that whoever is in power can push the Pavlovian buttons of 'dead children', 'Hitler', and 'racism' and instantly said bloc of people will do whatever the TV tells them.
My hope is that Russia does not care and is not going to mess around when challenged with such cheap garbage pale propaganda.
Most of the people polled do not want any involvement in Syria; but then again, 87% polled were also against Obamacare.
I think Newt Gingrich is correct; as he states in his book (which I recommend reading) the government no longer represents its people, just special interests.
-as he states in his book (which I recommend reading) the government no longer represents its people, just special interests.-
Well...Newt sure as hell oughta know.

Yeah and nobody will say it was a "Baby Fud" factory or protest the "evil war" like when they USA blows something up.
It will be aspirin ;-)
Six months from now, don't be surprised if those CIA financed ISIS rats don't wind up in the United States, with bogus refugee documents provided by Secretary of State Kerry. Shortly thereafter, expect bodies of headless murder victims to show up, of people kidnapped for ransom by Obama's former ISIS mercenaries.
They are already here... Comrade Barry already officially brought in 1500 US/Saudi created terrorists... but of course more to come...
Looks like a version of carpet bombing to me.
Ruskie munitions can hit ze ground.
I'm so impressed.
The Russians don't care about if your impressed like the US does. What you see is the shrapnel hitting the hillside from whatever they vaporized with a larger explosion you can barely detect at the bottom of the screen. They felt you did not need to know what that was maybe for stratigic reason. Thats just how the Russkies Roll. They just want to let you know they bombed the crap out of something and thats really all you need to know. lol
They said they were satelite guided munitions..........They did'nt miss. They also say that they used su-34s. which is a big two seater strike type fighter w/ longer range, can carry bigger payloads but still defend itself in the air .was not seen in the airport pics. where the heck did those come from?
"where the heck did those come from?"
Umm. Russia?
May be but thats a long ways off for fighters and would require a mid-air refuel for that particular plane but they have that capability, Its advertised range is 700 mile (operational vs one way?).
Closest place in Russia is the new digs in Crimea without having to get multiple countries airspace permissions to cross with armed fighters. They only notified the US coalition one hour before the attack happened.
These bombings were a little bigger than your average fighter run as on one vid showed about 3 city blocks in ruins. That heavy fighter duckbill models can supposedly carry 17500 payload. They went to the top shelf planes and precision munitons right off the bat rather than keeping it low key with WWII stuff like Ukraine. Those older SU 24s at the airport although hard hitting, Like a10s they have to come in low and slow for good effect and that is dangerous when there is rumurs of stingers floating around.
Would seem unusual with airbase and planes near by. I tend to think they have more stuff in Syria than the US is letting on which might be why the pentagram is shitting bricks and wanting to talk it over like they are. They did'nt seem to want to talk the day before at the UN. Now you understand the body language of the Putin-Obama Pictures? I do, Obama looked like a wet puppy that realized he's been outfoxed and outplayed and Putin's was was more like go ahead Punk make my day, or you sure you want to do this?.
Maybe they wanted to make an impression or show of force, just some observations.
This was a STATEMENT more than a bombing run. I just like to try and realize what the Russkies are trying to tell us. I hear it loud and clear but does that idiot Ashton Carter and Lurch?
At least it is not cluster bombing civilians like a syrian neighbor has done, or droning wedding receptions. Also, "carpet bombing" is done by large bombers dropping a swath of conventional bombs, made famous by B-52s. Russia has few large bombers, notably the Tupolev bear, backfire, and blackjack. Exactly zero of which are in syria. We can whine theoretically all we want, but sadly for the enemies of humanity, this is happening.
Sadly, the Syrian government who enjoys popular support, is being aided by a world class military, to enable them to identify and destroy terrorist infrastructure in a more efficient, precision and effective manner than they were before.
By sadly I mean, bring in the dancing girls.
If Russian ground troops go in, they will probably bring the TOS-1A along - mobile thermobaric MLRS. Supposedly, the Iraqis already have been using them against ISIS.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv4GkXfuyj8
Of all the weapon systems deployed against ground forces in the Russian Arsenal, the TOS is the most deadly. It creates an effect similar to a fuel air explosion, except that the compression and rarefaction waves are so powerful that it can kill infantry bunkered 30 feet below ground. This was the weapon system most feared by the Chechens, likely responsible for most of their battlefield casualties.

- Ned
It's funny. Outside of you, and another yankee poster who I respect deeply, I've never seen it spelled arklight. Always Arc light or arclight. Either way God bless you.
That being the case your point is well made to those with eyes to see. Be it the modified b52s who flattened vietnam in preparation for a loss, or the nuclear attacks on japan, or the bombing runs which fueled firestorms in a surrendered germany - no one has more experience reigning down indiscriminate death and destruction on an industrial scale, than does the USAF ( albeit thanks to the leaders, not the servicemen who thought they were serving their country).
I feel sorry for my fellow westerners who are awake to the realities of the current shiity state of affairs we call the present.
I was certainly raised on the "look 'em in the eyen then shoot 'em" school. vs. the indiscriminate situation, as you point out.
I don't feel sorry for anyone at this point, I do recognize that there is a terrible wake-up call that will have terrible consequences in the (perhaps) near future. Mrs_Meat is the "nice" one.

They are either CIA spooks (as the Euro-Dutch cranks proclaim here everynight...lol) OR rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth-fanatical "holy warriors" raping & murderering whoever they please with zero respect for life or property or history.
Personally, I hope St.Pooty kills every last one of them, my preference would be a slower death than blowing them apart with bombs but hey...that's jus me.
meh..slow or fast as long as they're dead. I also don't care which 'side' kills them.
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck...

The only one "on-script" around here is you, who obviously can't resolve the conflict going on inside your head on what to do about the nun holding a knife one inch away from your eyeball.
Myself, I have no conflict in what to do about her at all.

One wonders what Washington and London expected the Russian air force contingent to do? Apparently the core Western Govts still want to maintain this absurd insane pretense that there are good homicidal maniacs destroying Syria, and bad homicidal maniacs destroying Syria.
Well they are all fighting against the Syrian State, and its territorial integrity and sovereignty, a state supported by the vast majority of the Syrian people. And why wouldn't the majority of Syrians support Assad's Govt? Obama's Govt and Cameron's Govt clearly don't give a flying fuck about the maniac murder-machine they have supported, encouraged and protected, which has been trying to destroy and end the lives of the people of Syria! Well, DUH!
Not one of the 'FSA' murder-maniac groups is interested in peace or negotiations, and have proven that endlessly. They totally reject peace and an end tofighting. OK then! So there's really nothing left to talk about then, but for the SA and Russians and the Iranians to wipe them out, completely!
If Obama and Cameron didn't want egg all over their faces and to look totally feckless and moronic they should not have ever supported the fundamentalist FSA homicidal maniac bastards, in the first place.
The reality for Syrians now is that Syria can not obtain peaceful viable civil life again, until the FSA have been completely utterly wiped out. If the West insists on supporting the maniacs (in our name! can you believe it!) and the Russians will will wipe them out, then good, do it. And just wait until the Iranians get rolling, as then we'll see some FSA skin and hair flying about with three professional hardened mobile militaries with air support, ripping into them from all sides.
This idiotic stalemate is finally coming to an end and it can not come soon enough, and if Western Capital non 'leaders' want to get rid of ISIS then they should cut the whining quota and just get on with it.
Until the gloves come completely off and Western militaries are given free rein to do what they can do ISIS is simply never going to be destroyed. The only thing propping up ISIS is Washington's refusal so far to pound the shit out of them until there's not a single thing left moving. No fuel, no transport, no communications, no food, no water, no clothing, no shelter, no economy. A comprehensive old-school scorched-earth attack. Because until the West has the balls to actually use its attack power on the scale it can, it's presumed place as the global leader, simply doesn't exist any more.
It is now playing second-fiddle to middle and second-rate military powers.
Assad and the actual internal Syrian Opposition have signed a ceasefire. That means anyone other than Syria military now firing weapons is a legitimate target. Any specops better pray that their respective govt arranges an intelligence sharing process with Syria/Russia/Iran/Iraq otherwise they may be on the receiving end of real munitions, not an air drop of them.
That's great news Howdy. It looks like even Bibi agreed in Moscow that he didn't need his Syrian terror friends anymore either. Everyone's on board except the bag holders in DC.
I just got this at moonofalabama.org
Next came claims that the Russian had hit "moderate rebels" which the U.S. says are its good guys.
To which Mark Adomanis snarked:
The US couldn't find "moderate" rebels in 3 years. Apparently the Russians did in 24 hours
Too funny.
no one gives a fuck what you think. grow up, conscious cunt
that has been the case. Paint an ambulance sign on a hilux with a 27mm canon, hide the ak47s, roll the cameras when retrieving the bodies then call the hague. WAAA WAAAA.
"Anyone in black pajamas, driving a white Toyota pickup, with a .50 mounted in the back, is a civilian.
Apparently ;-)"
Not only a civilian but also a poor innocent 6 month old baby.
Scooby wouldn't want any of that falling on his dog house.
Say when was the last time the U.S. military showed bombing activity that wasn't reused video footage from 25 years ago that Wikileaks had to show us "first" before the msm followed with "damage control"?!!!
Smart move Russia!
I wonder if they will roll out any Smerch rockets. Nasty battlefield stuff.

Sadly the USA could never find those pesky ISIS white Toyota pickup convots because they were probably on paramount's backlot in Burbank being filmed by Rita Katz with Disney or Dreamworks ISIS video team or they drove them out to the California desert to play ISIS convoy for the cameras.
My bet is all that Toyota convot footage was shot in the California desert because those pickups were supposedly USA spec Toyotas.
It's funny you mention that. I follow this war every day and I can tell you that updated MLRS systems have been a not insignificant part of the success of the Syrian Arab Army bootfucking the efforts of the "moderate beheading iron age savage rebels" in the "southern front" campaign.
Regarding convoy images, I have no doubt that the US watched inumerable convoys roll through the desert. I can tell you that lately, from the sources I read, since the SAA ( SAAF ) got upgraded weapons and satellite intelligence, more than a few convoys have been vaporised. Now that Russia is actually flying, forget about it.
MOnths ago NATO had patriot batteries on the Turk border, and Turk f16s engaged the SAAF. This gave ISIS ( inter alia ) a 80 mile or so buffer zone. Given the shitty political environment, apparently many of the owners of the NATO batteries have removed them. As well Syria has been given a delivery of mig 31s, as well we have Russian interceptors. So what was a defacto bufferzone before is now open season with su 24s, su 25s and even mig 23s and 27s for bombing, su25s for air support, and mig 31s, mig 29s, su27s ( or maybe 30 or 34 ) for interception.
Those who don't follow this can't properly reconcile how bad this SHOULD be for the terrorists. Like I said, everythign I see is that short of something torn from the pages of the bible or end times hadiths, Russia just flipped the sign from "open" to "closed."
"Russia just flipped the sign from "open" to "closed."
I was mighty impressed with the NATO solidarity when they all rushed to send Patriot missile batteries to help Turkey defend itself from the Kurdish Air Force.
Even better, the patriots have been pulled out. It would be extremely embarassing for the makers should the true accuracy and hit rate (~50% first order approximation) be revealed in action against real determined opposition. Videos of patriot batteries being taken out would not be good marketing.
Thats what I'm talking about! Pellets?! Better do better next shot, that was a bad missile shot! Practice makes perfect I know...
In the first 2 videos there is a larger explosion just off screen, perhaps those pellets are shrapnel from the larger explosion?
it doesn't look like these guys are very good shots, if the cross-hairs represent where the bomb is supposed to go. The closest they got was in the third bombing.
Still the percussive wave from the ordinance would probably liquify your insides if you happen to be in any part of that video frame.
The cross-hairs don't indicate anything. They are just a graphical feature, not a targeting reticle. This isn't like the footage of laser-guided smart bombs from Desert Storm. The bomb in this case was an unguided "dumb bomb." It was dropped on a ballistic trajectory and it got plenty close enough to do its job.
Might want to check on that, Russki tech is "smart airplane, dumb bomb". Don't know if it "cross-hair stays on target while plane jinks around", prolly not that smart. So only matters that the cross was on intended target (we haven't left any bombs up there either) at time of separation and whether they got the met correct.

thats camera on the drone, not on the bomber so crosshair isnt even relevant
"The closest they got was in the third bombing."
Well, so long as they didn't frighten any of our "moderate" Jihadis kindly sponsored by US tax dollars, we're still on the way to total victory.
Looks like their Smerch MLRS which is like a cluster munitions rocket.
Example of how the Russians make shit that holds up no matter waht - their Kamaz trucks.

Hopefully those Jonathan Pollard Evangelical types over at Free Republic and GI Joe Spec Ops wannbes will start thinking hard if they want to go die for Bibi and Soros.
Those KAMAZ trucks are very impressive.
Don't mess with Khamassss (play on words for our AngloZionist stooges)

The bomb that goes off at 30 seconds of the video seems to leave everything in the screen "steaming" after it explodes. Is that smoke from things burning or dust? I don't know much at all about bombs but it looked like a lot of force and it looked different from the first two that had a lot of smaller explosions. I would appreciate any insights from posters who can describe what is happening in the video I'm watching in "real terms".
They hit sand, dust in the middle of the quart yard, missed the building...
I think you are correct that it is dust/sand.
The sides of the buildings facing the blasts definatly suffer some damage.
Not all dust/sand
Its looks like a fuel-air munition. These creates massive over-pressure which blows things apart and creates a partial vaccuum in the immediate vicinity. There is a slower reverse flow of air which is what is moving the dust clouds. The split-second shockwave of the primary explosion can be seen in the third segment
@0:29 "Looks like Russia is using their Barrel Bombs" --Obama
wizteknet:
Yep, these guys targeted are the truly moderate Muzlim Infidel Killers--they have their very own brewery with its quart-yard for refreshment in the middle of Jihad.
A money making opportunity for Cindy McCain's Bud Distributorship. Dad will do the advance, don't cha' know.
- Ned
Honestly think Russia is using there old sheet up, before its unusable. Terrible shot. InBev buying SABMiller, how is that possible since u mentioned it?! lol
First of all, all three of the explosions in the video above are actually the same explosion, viewed from different angles and altitudes. In each case some of the visual field has been cropped away. This only makes sense; Russia does not want everybody to be able to identify exactly what it's doing, where it's doing it, and how it's doing it. There is a real chance that the USA would pass such information along to its "moderate rebels." The videos also appear to be slightly time-lapsed, speeding up the action by a small degree. I'm guessing this is an artifact of the footage itself rather than an editorial adjustment.
The "steaming" you referred to is smoke; you can tell from the way it rises and billows that it is being buoyed aloft by a convectional flow from a heat source, just like a camp fire. This means the explosion was energetic enough to scorch everything in the immediate vicinity.
Given the type of explosion it was and what we can infer about the targeting mechanism (i.e. unguided), I'd say this was a standard bomb lobbed on a ballistic trejectory from a fairly safe altitude. No need to bring out the expensive munitions just to mop up some ISIS rats.
I would appreciate any insights from posters who can describe what is happening in the video I'm watching in "real terms".
This was basically three battle damage assessment videos of the same attack - each one aimed at a slightly different spot on the target. The 'cross hairs' don't necessarily indicate where the ordinance was being directed, just the center of the camera frame. The dust/smoke you see coming off of other objects immediately post-blast is particulate matter (dust) as well as pulverized surface material. Unlike Hollywood explosions, real world explosions are extremely fast and violent - the damage is caused by the shock wave, so, for maximum damage, you want as much force released as quickly as possible (and there's almost never a fireball unless it's secondary explosions of things like fuel tanks). The little puffs of "smoke" (dust) on the hillside are caused by shrapnel from the bomb casing as well as what it blew apart (building and peripheral items).
Just a fun little fact - a bit of nuclear trivia: You can determine the yeild of a nuke ....... by the duration of the flash ;)
TY for your responses GM and Trogdor, I find it fascinating but don't have first hand military experience and knowledge.
Russia seems to have a lot of hot looking babes as their spokesperson. The US uses faggots and octogenarians.
Aman brother!
Break out the pop corn, this is going to get real interesting.
Google Natalia Poklonskaya
Google is now being used as a euphemism?
I lost track of how many times Russian troops were reported to be invading Ukraine, or shooting down airliners, or installing malware on Hillary's Blackberry.
And the Ebola epidemic...don't forget that.
As a matter of fact, I haven't.
I have, check it out...

Hey, don't knock Hillary. According to this video about Hillary cleaning house she's having a hard time.
Of course, we saw it coming 6 months ago when this happened... Hitler finds out that Hillary Clinton was using his email server. Is Maria married?
