Syria: “Not a Proxy War. It’s One Step Closer”

George Washington's picture

Russia started bombing jihadi bases in Syria today.

Given that the the U.S. and its allies are largely responsible for creating ISIS, and that U.S., Turkey and Israel have all been acting as ISIS’ air force – they are not taking too kindly to Russia’s actions.

This Wall Street Journal headline sums up the absurdity of the situation:  “Russian Airstrike in Syria Targeted CIA-Backed Rebels, U.S. Officials Say.”

We noted years ago that a proxy war is raging in Syria … but things are getting even more over-heated.

Political risk expert Ian Bremmer sums up the situation:

Russian forces will be striking Assad enemies, some of whom are directly supported by the US and its allies. That’s not a proxy war. It’s one step closer.

What could possibly go wrong?

Remember Russian offered already in 2012 to have Syria's Assad step aside. But US, Britain and France were convinced (to make more money with war) that the Syrian dictator was about to fail, so they ignored the proposal!!

All wars are banker wars. The way this is shaping up? Yep both sides are doing the bankers biding.

Governments are the most barbaric reliec of them all. In second place we have religion. Both run on misplaced faith.

Fuck them all and the fiat murder train they rode in on. Hate the players and the game. WW3 is not between governments its between governments and the peoples trapped under them.

Think about that stall thing. They can only lead us off to war if we follow them.

Did Assad shut off the water to ISIS yet? Did Putin? Why not?

This is the largest can of black swans the world has ever seen. God help us if all the shit that's being packed in that region ever goes off on this planet.

Too extreme.

We just want to "liberate" it back to the Diebold age.

I'm glad to see Russia come out of the closet. Lets see what they got. I'm tired of the pussy footing around.

When Syria recaptures the ISIS controlled areas, I wonder how many Blackwater, Xe et al US contractor bodies will be found?

ISIS was already kicked out of Syria by Al Nusra. The ISIS boys thought they should run the franchise and Al Nusra sent them packing. ISIS, so far, has always moved away from pressure, not towards it. Those incompetent fucks sat on Kobane how long and got pushed out by a bunch of girls with old weapons. Well, really tough Yazidi girls, genuine warriors, and not that bunch of pussies ISIS employs on the other side.  Give me one Yazidi to any 20 Obamas and I will rule the golf course.

FORWARD SOVIET!

Dead or alive any Bloodwater, Xe, etc., or whatever the killers-for-hire are calling themselves should be held and processed by Russkies, Syrians, Chinese, Hezbos, etc., for pickup by CIA. Betcha they let the dead ones rot and pick up the live ones for debreifing and execution before they sing.

Remember that Economist (Rothschild) magazine cover that had every "conspiracy" theorist trying to decrypt. Remember the Pied Piper figure , well ...hundreds of thousands of young men (children) being directed (led) into Europe by design. Hat tip to SilverDoctors, I know, I know, but I think we going to have to concede they maybe are interpreting this one right.

Ms Creature says she's wearing that strapon backwards but handling the recoil rather well.

I am constantly amazed at Ms Creature's esoteric knowlege and grasp of physics.

This is an unusual play for Russia since they are directly employing their military forces in Syria. Even in places like the Ukraine, Russia claims that those are patriotic volunteers'. I really do think Putin is bending Obutthole and ramming it in hard just because he can and payback for the cold war and our latest acts of stupid......

Historically, kicking a country when it is down ultimately leads to severe blowback. If you don't like them, take them out. Kill or absorb. Torturing will act as a catalyst. Even we have seen it in our lifetimes.
