A day after we ran "Meet Your "Independent" Media, America", in which we showed how prime time entertainment like 60 Minutes is strategically and voluntarily "planted" with propaganda trolls and "concerns" thus crushing any "unbiased" credibility mainstream US media may have, we dug into the archives to bring you "Conspiracy Theory Rock."
This cartoon created by SNL cartoonist Robert Smigel in 1998 ran once in a "TV Funhouse" segment, and has been since removed from all subsequent airings of the Saturday Night Live episodes. As a reminder, 90% of US media is currently controlled by 6 corporations: General Electric, News Corp., Disney, Viacom, Time Warner and CBS...
... whose shareholders vastly overlap.
Michaels claimed the edit was done because it "wasn’t funny."
Well, it's funny now because for once the propaganda facade of the mainstream media cracked from within, and the result was this critique of corporate media ownership, including then NBC’s ownership by General Electric/Westinghouse, and how only the stuff the owners deem appropriate is distributed for general consumption.
We doubt the current parent of NBC (and CNBC), Comcast, would play it either.

"The Bill Cosby Show" is a shining example of TV, a show starring a comedian who was a serial rapist and monster. Everyone at the NBC network and elsewhere heard rumors about Cosby but did nothing. Obama reminds me a lot of Cosby before the truth came out.
As others have pointed out, America is now run like Nazi Germany. Anyone who threatens the rule of the satanists, the pedophiles and the looters can expect to meet with a car accident or a plane crash or just vanish (as what happened to Ray Gricar, the Pennsylvania DA who knew too much about the pedophile ring operating out of Penn State).

I don’t know if I believe that about Frank Zappa. He was a critic of mainstream education and organized religion and a passionate advocate for freedom of speech and the abolition of censorship. He was a starving musician for many years. A creative genius who composed different genres of music including classical and played multiple instruments. True, his father was a chemist for the defense industry. Due to their home's proximity to the arsenal, which stored mustard gas, gas masks were kept in the home in case of an accident. This had a profound effect on Zappa. He was also sick a lot as a child and believed his childhood diseases may have been due to exposure to mustard gas from the nearby chemical warfare facility. That doesn't sound like someone who would be an agent for the CIA.

I was living in L.A. in the early 80's and we had the Los Angeles Times delivered daily. I remember Lennon & Yoko bought a full page telling their fans they were doing o.k. & about the plans they were making. It was an upbeat straightforward report. In the copy they said the same had run simultaneously in the New York Times. Not long afterward, Lennon was shot dead on the sidewalk in NYC. I've looked for that ad and can't find it anywhere. I too stopped watching SNL a long time ago. However, occasionally they do portray Obama in a bad light such as the School House Rock parody of "I'm Just A Bill" where Obama shoves the bill down the steps of the capitol and introduces his friend Executive Order.
So I completely agree that any mainstream TV show, magazine or newspaper is simply a political tool. Which is why I was surprised when SNL painted the big zero in a bad light. Of course, that too was a School House Rock parody.
