Ron Paul Trounces Trump, Exclaims Election Is Entertainment "Orchestrated By Major Media"

Tyler Durden's picture

Former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul has unleashed a harsh (but entirely fair) criticism of the current presidential campaign. Talking to RT's Ameera Davis this week, Paul lambasted the media's control of the U.S. electoral process, Donald Trump’s candidacy, and the stock market...

"So I think some of this stuff in the presidential campaigns is orchestrated by the major media. It is entertainment. They have competitions going on and on. So I don't put a lot of stock [in the presdential process], this is still pretty early. ...

Donald Trump is an authoritarian and he brags about it. "I'm the boss and I tell people what to do."

Well government happens to be a little different than that.

An authoritarian is the opposite of a libertarian. A libertarian wants to release the individuals, get government out of our lives, out of the economy, and out of all these places around the world..."

Ron Paul is controlled opposition. He had 30 years to do something, and he never made a dent in the establishment. He pulled out of the only election he had a chance in after asking everyone to donate to him. A true politician. The Audit the Fed bill was a complete farce, gutted in the 11th hour with his approval.

Ron Paul is a traitor.

I've been thinking about the process of voting lately and asked myself, "What is your basic philosophy that impels you to consider voting?"

I had to sit down and think about it in relation to what it means to be a citizen of a republic and what was it I was asking of my representatives. What did I want government to do for me? I pared all the wants down to the purpose of government, and came down to 3 reasons for why, in a society of like minded people, we request the establishment of a government. They are essentially; The protection of my rights to private property, freedom of association, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That's what I have when living on my own so to live in a group setting, I expect to have the same natural birth rights. Without those protections, what's the attraction or point?

I then asked myself, who amongst this current string of suitors is proposing those simple assurances?

Does anyone represent the document that we as a people ratified as the foundation of the existence of this republic and basis of our association or are we all just in it for the things we want government to spend on us?

Those of us who have been here at ZH for years know that Ron Paul was blackballed by the GOP and MSM in Dec. 2011/Jan. 2012. He was leading in the polls at the time and had millions in donations from a broad base of support, including the vast majority of veterans and active military personel.

Ron Paul is a good man - which is exactly why he was torpedoed by the media and the GOP (and douchebags on his own staff) - and why he wasn't able to make many changes in the District of Criminals.  You are utterly WRONG in that he didn't make a "dent" - he woke a hell of a lot of people up - including a lot of younger people - to the crime syndicate that the Fed is.  His biggest flaw was his naivete - his belief that the system could still work - he simply wasn't slimy enough to be "effective" in that cesspool.

The TRUE farce in this (s)election cycle is Trump - a narcissistic megalomaniac - essentially the RINO equivalent of Obama - lots of flash and bluster without ever saying anything of any real substance .... coming up with "promises" he has no intention of keeping (and couldn't if he wanted to).  He has no intention of being a "representative" - he's going to tell YOU how to suck it - and you're going to have to love it.  You can tell Trump IS the establishment's guy - simply because he gets non-stop attention.  If he was anti-establishment, they'd ignore and sabotage him at every turn like they did Ron - but instead he's made out to be the (fake) "villian" in the WWF of politics and given tons of support and coverage.

Gee whiz, they've been trying to sabotage Trump since day 1 of his candidacy. It's a testament to his media savvy that he has managed to turn the tables on them.

If Ron Paul had a tenth of the media handling skill that Trump has, he would be President right now.

Is Trump a megalomaniac? Probably. Is he a sociopath/psychopath? Maybe...it's hard to tell right now. Frankly he looks a lot better on this score than the career politicians he's running against. Is Trump a savvy opportunist, a great negotiator, and a blowhard? Definitely. He also knows exactly how government operates on local, state, and federal levels.

Maybe Trump is what this country needs right now.

knukles -

what does that article have to do with

"The international money powers."

6 corporations supposedly owns 90% {however that was measured} of "the media".

One could quibble - but it seems reasonable.

But how is that proof that the "international money powers" control the media through those corps, exactly?

And who are the "international money powers?"

Not sure why asking for evidence is anything but what you're supposed to do....

that aside - so who, or what does control the media?

The lock-step of reporting and the absurd neocon narratives could be simple group think with the odd government bribe etc or two.

I was biology with an unofficial minor in physics undergrad then, stupidly, went to law school.

Doesn't make me an expert, but I do have some experience with empirical verification and the scientific method.

It's tough to find evidence of ghosts.

If someone says "who pulls Obama's" strings, and someone says TPTB or "the NWO" - that doesn't provide a basis for verification. The terms are completely undefined. Asking for evidence of an assertion made without evidence strikes me as not unusual.

But, I guess I'm in a minority.

I also tend to think that there is less top-down control over all MSM than many seem to assume.

Groupthink, not wanting to go against the grain, and just being intellectually lazy and assuming as true that which is generally assumed to be true likely explains a lot of the sort of corporate MSM orthodoxy.

But I'm sure the CIA or government more broadly has a lot of behind the scenes influence.

I dunno man - people say all sorts of wacky shit then get upset when you ask them the basis of their belief.

Indelicate:

Just ask Carroll Quigley, historian for the elite.

From his book, Tragedy and Hope, 1966:

"The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland; a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank... sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

no one ever says anything about the religious, political, and racial beliefs of these black clad Orthodox Jews.

Here's a quick and dirty summary:

Batshit crazy xenophobia, ethnocentrism, arrogance, hypocrisy, deceit, moral and racial supremacism, and megalomania - all justified by 2500 years of Jewish "thought."

former CHIEF RABBI of Israel
http://www.timesofisrael.com/5-of-ovadia-yosefs-most-controversial-quota...

Can you imagine if a Roman Catholic Archbishop said anything even *close* to this, the media coverage? His wiki is long as hell but devotes just 3 short paragraphs to his racism - the 3rd one being employed to assure us that Jewish groups protested most vehemently - just not the 800k Jews in Israel who came out for his funeral.

Then there's this dead rabbi - some of whom's followers deemed him the "messiah" -

http://www.counterpunch.org/2014/04/07/why-is-the-us-honoring-a-racist-r...

"Who was Rabbi Schneerson?

Schneerson lived from 1902 to 1994 and oversaw the growth of what is now the largest Jewish organization in the world. The religious movement he led is known as “Chabad-Lubavitch,” (sometimes just called “Lubavitch” or “Chabad,” the name of its organizational arm). Schneerson was the seventh and final Lubavitcher “Rebbe” (sacred leader). He is often simply called “the Rebbe.”

Founded in the late 1700s and originally based in the Polish-Russian town of Lubavitch, it is the largest of about a dozen forms of “Hasidism,” a version of Orthodox Judaism connected to mysticism, characterized by devotion to a dynastic leader, and whose adherents often wear distinctive clothing. (Spellings of these terms can vary; Hasid is also written as Hassid, Chasid, etc.)

There is an extreme cult of personality focused on Schneerson himself. Some followers consider him the Messiah, and Schneerson himself reportedly sometimes implied this was true. Some Lubavitch educators consider him divine, making such claims as, “the Rebbe is actually ‘the essence and being [of God] … he is without limits, capable of effecting anything, all-knowing and a proper object of worshipful prostration.”

While many secular Jews and Jews from other denominations disagree with its actions and theology, Chabad-Lubavitch is generally acknowledged to be a powerful force in Jewish life today. According to a 1994 New York Times report, it is “one of the most influential and controversial forces in world Jewry.”

There are approximately 3,600 Chabad institutions in over 1,000 cities in 70 countries, and 200,000 adherents. Up to a million people attend Chabad services at least once a year. Numerous campuses have such centers and the Chabad website states that hundreds of thousands of children attend Chabad summer camps.

According to the Times, Schneerson “presided over a religious empire that reached from the back streets of Brooklyn to the main streets of Israel and by 1990 was taking in an estimated $100 million a year in contributions.

In the U.S., the Times reports, Schneerson’s “‘mitzvah tanks’ – converted campers that are rolling recruiting stations whose purpose is to draw Jews to the Lubavitch way – roamed streets from midtown Manhattan to Crown Heights. And the Lubavitchers’ Brooklyn-based publishing house claimed to be the world’s largest distributor of Jewish books.”

Non-Jewish souls ‘satanic’

While Chabad sometimes openly teaches that “the soul of the Jew is different than the soul of the non-Jew,” Schneerson’s specific teachings on this subject are largely unknown.

Quite likely very few Americans, both Jews and non-Jews, are aware of Schneerson’s teachings about the alleged deep differences between them – and about how these teachings are applied in the West Bank and Gaza.

Let us look at Schneerson’s words, as quoted by two respected Jewish professors, Israel Shahak and Norton Mezvinsky, in their book Jewish Fundamentalism in Israel (text available online here. This book, praised by Noam Chomsky, Edward Said, and many others is essential reading for anyone who truly wishes to understand modern day Israel-Palestine. (Brackets in the quotes below are in the translations by Shahak and Mezvinsky.)

Some of Schneerson’s rarely reported teachings:

“The difference between a Jewish and a non-Jewish person stems from the common expression: “Let us differentiate.” Thus, we do not have a case of profound change in which a person is merely on a superior level. Rather, we have a case of “let us differentiate” between totally different species.”

“This is what needs to be said about the body: the body of a Jewish person is of a totally different quality from the body of [members] of all nations of the world … The difference in the inner quality between Jews and non-Jews is “so great that the bodies should be considered as completely different species.”

“An even greater difference exists in regard to the soul. Two contrary types of soul exist, a non-Jewish soul comes from three satanic spheres, while the Jewish soul stems from holiness.”

“As has been explained, an embryo is called a human being, because it has both body and soul. Thus, the difference between a Jewish and a non-Jewish embryo can be understood.”

“…the general difference between Jews and non-Jews: A Jew was not created

as a means for some [other] purpose; he himself is the purpose, since the substance of all [divine] emanations was created only to serve the Jews.”

“The important things are the Jews, because they do not exist for any [other] aim; they themselves are [the divine] aim.”

“The entire creation [of a non-Jew] exists only for the sake of the Jews.”"

- bear in mind, Chabad is the group that puts up a giant menorah on public property every holiday season. By itself.

US courts have ruled that that's fine - but it is illegal to do so with the nativity scene, OR EVEN A CHRISTMAS TREE - which is not a Christian symbol at all.

Cute.

Hey dickbreath -

the youtube link you didnt watch is a fucking trailer for a Seth Rogen movie.

your acting like I've provided some non-credible source just shows me you didn't bother looking at what you criticize like a good fucking thought-police troll.

You also didn't cite one thing incorrect/false/unfair about any content in the other links.

Also like a good troll - you simply declare, without argument or proof, that because *you* didn't hear of something, the information isn't reliable.

Butits clear YOU DIDN'T REVIEW THE LINKS - you just bitched about them.

You didn't hear of this site:

http://newobserveronline.com/jews-boast-of-owning-hollywood-but-slam-gen...

So an article which references comments by Jews about Jewish ownership of Hollywood, in contrast to treatment non-Jews get for saying the same, has no validity?

Huh?

You're either stupid, really - or basically you're just deputizing yourself as Speech Sheriff.

Only problem is you clearly don't bother considering other points of view before you attack them.

But, I figure we're done.

Every president and congress since Carter has proclaimed a national Education and Sharing Day in honor of Rabbi Schneerson and his promotion of Noahide Law.

Presidential Proclamation -- Education and Sharing Day, 2015

EDUCATION AND SHARING DAY, U.S.A., 2015

- - - - - - -

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA A PROCLAMATION

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, dedicated his life to promoting education as the cornerstone of humanity.  A tireless advocate for youth around the world, he believed that "as long as there is still one child that does not receive an adequate education, we can neither be satisfied nor slacken our efforts."  In an era where a woman's education was not valued the same as a man's, the Rebbe worked to tear down barriers that stood in the way of girls who wanted to learn.  He established a Jewish organization for women and directed his teachings of service and scholarship equally to young girls and boys.  He was even known to write, "There must be a girl!" on educational materials that depicted only boys.

Because of leaders like the Rebbe, we have made great strides toward achieving quality education for all -- but his legacy is not only a story of progress, it is also a call to remember his words and take up this unfinished task....

The Seven Laws of Noah and the Non-Jews who Follow Them

Jack Saunders has a snowy white beard of biblical proportions. Back in the 1980s he was a Baptist minister at Frazier’s Chapel Independent Baptist Church in Cohutta, Georgia, near the Tennessee border. But that was before the now 58-year-old Tennessean began to question the fundamentals of his faith and came to the conclusion that the gospel stories of Jesus and the entire New Testament are false.
“It was kind of disturbing,” he says of the experience. “But if you’re looking for truth and truth smacks you in the face, then you have to do something. You have to be able to confront it and say, ‘This is the truth’ and let go of your emotions.”

You mean, if it's disproportionately the members of some specific coherent minority group lobbying on behalf of a foreign power and getting Congress to grovel, or advocating for a series of wars, or demonizing Russia - we aren't supposed to mention it?

Go fuck yourself.

And as for idiots - I'm not aware of anyone, even Alfred "blaming all of humanities problems on tihs (race) group or that (ideological) group."

This is a straw man - the Jewish/Israel lobby has a virtual stranglehold on foeign policy, challenged here and there with great debate - Jews are 2.5% of the population, Israel is a tiny foreign quasi-ally that would just love the US to fight more wars.

But its "blaming" Jews to say Jewish advocacy groups have too much power and employ it for themselves and the perceived interests of a foreign state?

Fuck you.

Libertarianism is political philosphy; not just the name of a political party - although Paul ran for President on the Libertaran Party ticket in 1988.  There are also varying degrees of libertarianism - how libertarian one is.  The 'old right' (pre-WWII) was much more libertarian than today. Warren Buffet's father was part of it when he served in Congress as a Republican.

I can agree with what he says, up until the point of "and out of all these places around the world", and then I wonder what he does mean?

The problem is that he believes in a creed where only the individual exists and there are no nations.  It does not make sense to me because we are born into societys with 100's of years of infrastructure bestowed on us.

These stuff is owned by us, hence the nation state, but the libertarians don't believe in borders or nation states, they're cheering on immigrants as having equal rights when the fact is that they don't have equal rights, just as I do not have equal rights to live in someone elses house and use someone elses property.  For that reason I find their philosophy, while it has merit with free markets and sound money, in the end broken and unworkable, because ironically the ultimate property rights are not observed, the ones we entrust in our nation states.

Think about this!

Lenin said that the vote does not matter, only who counts the vote.

With today's technology, the vote does not matter and who counts the vote does not matter. ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHO ANNOUNCES THE RESULTS OF THE VOTE!!!!

The person or entity that declares the winner controls the election. Who is that? Is it in any way someone or something that represents the people? I think not.

The controlled media can declare whomever they want to be the winner of any election and those who are slaves to the government have no recourse what-so-ever.

I believe that we have not had a real election for a very long time. If it CAN be a fraud, then they will make it a fraud.

Ron Paul is of course totally correct. Elections are simply dog and pony shows to entertian the rabble and make them feel part of a democractic process. All major candidates are screened and hand selected by the tiny elite rulers of this nation. If you buck them, they will destroy you in an instant. Using NAS files if need be. Every candidate knows the NSA has a full file of every communication they ever made, every late night escapade they have been up to, their medical records, their affairs, etc. You see after all these years we still talk of Bush and Clinton!

The Two party system, is as everyone at ZH knows, a one party system. Tiny social differences are thrown up as major game changer topics. When all candidates serve the Military Industrial Spy Complex, the Big Bank, Major Corporations and select religious groups. AIPAC holds a special place as DEFACTO judge and selector of who may and who may not hold power positions in America. If AIPAC black balls you, you are finished.

The Pentagon, The Fed, Major Money Center Banks, the CIA/NSA/FBI power base, and as select group of ultra rich elite power brokers. They may have different opinions, but on ALL MAJOR issues, they are ONE.

It really is a One Party / Zionist State.

Socialism is:

an economic system characterized by public ownership and centralized planning of all major industries (manufacturing, services, and energy), banks and insurance companies, agribusiness, transportation, the media, and medical facilities. Under capitalism, these giant enterprises dominate the economy but are privately owned and operated for the purpose of generating wealth for their owners by extracting it from working people who are paid only a small fraction of what their labor produces. Socialism turns this around so that the class that produces the wealth can collectively decide how it will be used for the benefit of all.

Although there are different types, Real socialism is, by definition, democratic. It is economic as well as political democracy. Many capitalist countries boast of their democratic institutions, but this is an illusion because all the political power is in the hands of those who hold the wealth. Socialism prioritizes human needs and eliminates the profit motive that drives war, ecological destruction, and inequalities based on gender, race, nationality and sexuality.

Like capitalism, socialism must be international so that global resources can be shared. No country can be truly independent of the global economy because until capitalism is defeated internationally it will continue to sabotage efforts to build socialism. Achieving socialism in the United States, the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world, is necessary to any country being able to determine its own destiny.

Capitalism is an economic system in which individuals invest a portion of today's profit in order to be more productive tomorrow like a fisherman who uses some of the proceeds of his sale of fish to buy a bigger net.

Socialism is a political system in which those who frittered away their resources demand that the fisherman with the large, new net is morally obliged to give them free fish. This moral imperative is enforced at the point of a gun.

Rand talks like a libertarian, but walks like a neo-con. I don't trust him, he talks out of both sides of his mouth. He is also a Zionist. He reminds me of Anakin Skywalker: Started out good, had a bright future as the champion of liberty, but alas, he turned to the darkside instead.

You can not, whether it offends your delicate, brainwashed sensibilities or not, discuss "the media" without discussing Organized Jewry and its Power and Privilege.

If we consider the 5 major tv news outlets as nbc/abc/cbs/cnn/fox

at one point recently, the 3 of the 5 news dept heads were jews. And thats not including Fox, which with Ailes and crypto-Jew Murdoch's agitprop, Fox is more Zionist than anyone.

You look at the names on the anti-Putin hit pieces and somehow 2.5%of the population are **everywhere**.

Just as they were in Russia, stealing its wealth after the USSR fell.

So Americans can vote to continue the existing authoritarian policies which are all biased against the populace at large and particularly against what once was the middle class working to produce real goods and services.  Or they can vote for Trump, whose allegedly authoritarian policies actually serve the interests of most Americans and the country as a whole (e.g. not getting involved in useless wars).

Is this meant to be a tough choice Ron?  And if you are not endorsing Trump, who are you actually endorsing and what is going to be the outcome of their election in terms of an authoritarian state and authoritarian policies?
