Ron Paul Trounces Trump, Exclaims Election Is Entertainment "Orchestrated By Major Media"

Tyler Durden's picture

Former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul has unleashed a harsh (but entirely fair) criticism of the current presidential campaign. Talking to RT's Ameera Davis this week, Paul lambasted the media's control of the U.S. electoral process, Donald Trump’s candidacy, and the stock market...

"So I think some of this stuff in the presidential campaigns is orchestrated by the major media. It is entertainment. They have competitions going on and on. So I don't put a lot of stock [in the presdential process], this is still pretty early. ...

Donald Trump is an authoritarian and he brags about it. "I'm the boss and I tell people what to do."

Well government happens to be a little different than that.

An authoritarian is the opposite of a libertarian. A libertarian wants to release the individuals, get government out of our lives, out of the economy, and out of all these places around the world..."

Dear Ron Paul, I sent you the limit for campaign donations for an individual in 2007. I campaigned for you in Iowa. Drove home in a snow storm after doing so. No problem. I collected hundreds of signatures to help you get on the ballot to run. Then when the republican party consistently fucked you over during the causcuses, you did nothing but let it happen. You did not fight it. You did not raise hell. I am sure that I will never know why but just the same, WTF were,,,are you thinking? Then when Rand jumped ship on your ass, you said nothing. Yeah Ron you make me wonder sometimes. So if you have issue with Trump, too bad, fuck off.

Well, I have to agree with you.  I spent a small fortune myself here in Minnesota.  I think we all know what happened in Rochester.  I want you to know that we did raise hell here.  The Rally For The Republic was my idea but I had no control over it.  They took my idea and ran with it and I was as good as dirt.  It really does not matter now though.  When you did what you did you were probably inexperienced like I was.  We really did not know what we were getting into.  Now we do and that changes things a great deal.  I have coordinated an entire caucus as a republican, been an officer in two seperate districts and became elected as an officer for the democrats in another.  I know how to do this and not many people do.

I have sat with the Libertarian Party of Minnesota.  They only argue with each other.  It was very frustrating for me to observe that meeting.

We can do better.  I demand that I do better of myself.  I do not like giving up when I know that I am better than the opposition is.

If it is money that is the problem, I will help fund our effort.  I want nothing return except that you all kick ass and take names.

Ron Paul had his big chance. Then he quit.

He's got about much charisma and leadership as an expired can of SPAM.

So STFU already.

(And Junior would not be representing the USA.)

So - it seems obvious that the 2 party system is a sham. There are wedge issues, for sure, but as people have long noted her - when it comes to wall street and the MIC, the wars and Israel - going from Bush to Obama didn't change a thing.

I don't quite grasp the love affair with Trump myself, other than his {apparent} gift for speaking his mind without the filter.

But what are his ideas as to foreign policy? The debt?

His proposal to deport all the illegals is beyond assinine, and I'm strongly opposed to this open borders situation myself - but we are not going to deport 20 million people.

Cheering for idiotic solutions is no way to go through your political life.

I don't know - I think Presidents are largely puppets of the people who get them in office and who keep them there.

Would Trump close some of our 800+ bases?

Would he back off this slavish devotion to the Israeli right?

Would he prosecute Goldman Sachs?

I doubt it.

  1. As Martin Armstrong eloquently pointed out,  when discussing Hillary ' s erased emails Trump has never suggested asking the NSA for their copies.  2.Where is
  2.  Captain Obvious when you need him to go to a Trump Q&A and ask that
  3. So, if you think he isn't establishment you're kidding yourself.

no way any one would let ron paul became president

oligarchs rule the usa - before election they put out a puppet candidate (like obummer) who will sighn every contract they come up with. they fund him with great money for an election campaign and the usual majority of voters, which are brainwashed by jew-owned media, will vote for it. sadly the average american isnt that smart (same are average non-americans).

they prefer to vote for an idol pushed by media

and remember what happend to jfk

and the supposed killer of jfk was killed few days later by a wealthy jew

hmmmm.....

According to Bob Altemeyer in his book The Authoritarians:

"Authoritarians are highly submissive to established authority, aggressive in the name of that authority, and conventional to the point of insisting everyone should behave as their authorities decide. They are fearful and self-righteous and have a lot of hostility in them that they readily direct toward various outgroups. They are easily incited, easily led, rather un-inclined to think for themselves, largely impervious to facts and reason, and rely instead on social support to maintain their beliefs. They bring strong loyalty to their in-groups, have thick-walled, highly compartmentalized minds, use lots of double standards in their judgments, are surprisingly unprincipled at times, and are often hypocrites. But they are also Teflon-coated when it comes to guilt. They are blind to themselves, ethnocentric and prejudiced, and as close-minded as they are narrow-minded."

Oh - he was a doctor but - pshhh - we still have cancer and heart disease, don't we.

What a fucking fraud.

Ron Paul is a standup guy who has largely walked the walk and mostly did so on his own. He riduculed the mob for years and was a voice of honestyt in the wilderness of corruption and greed. Ron Paul's greatest sin in their eyes was that he didn't have a price. God bless Ron Paul and to hell with the scum who are always bought and sold.

There is too much damage and dependence built up around govt.

There are too many external threats to contend with.

Government has gone AWOL.

If government is going to remain AWOL the least you can do is have someone who knows wtf hes doing running the circus.

At this point it doesnt matter who becomes president, the Fed and Member banks have destroyed the country, there is no economic freedom left and the opportunity for growth and development has long passed.

We dont have the required time left in order to make meaningful lasting changes for th better, the country needs a strong leader to help it survive, we are entering times of survival not growth, and I think Trump is the right choice if what you want is for the country to still be here in 10 - 20 years, and maybe by then the dice will roll a bit differenlt on the global stage... who knows an asteroid might fall from the sky and wipe out China or something.

The number one reason USA is falling apart is The Fed , and its member banks and the fraud they are perpetrating.

The number two reason the USA is falling apart is China and Cheap Labor threatening job security in the USA while raising the cost of energy for USA.

If The Fed and China dropped off the face of the map, the USA would be a super power again.

What are we going to do?  I know how the system works as a two time state delegate for Ron Paul.  What do you want me to do?  I know what I can do but I can not do it alone.  I have already met all of these politicians and said my piece.  What are YOU going to do?  I would consider helping one more time but I am liking those mountians out in Idaho so speak up.

Agree with the other poster - If Ron Paul does not like Trump - then who is he voting for? The sad thing is that we have evolved into a media, money, charisma, and Super PAC campaign. Worse is that most of the candidates are already bought and paid for. Even those with good ideas cannot move the inertia and outside control we have in Congress. The only hope we have is someone capable of motivating the entire country - like Reagan was able to do.

I find it very curious that so many believe Ron Paul's 30 years of service bore no fruit. Are you fucking serious? Half of the shit we fight about on this site wouldn't even be topics of conversation if it weren't for this lone voice in the wildernes so to speak.

- The FED

- debt run amok

- dangers of Keynsian monetary policy

- civil rights abuses and privacy issues

- the MIC and all these fucking foreign entanglements

All I can say is anyone that thinks he had no positive effect on the political dialogue in this country is entitled to their wrong opinion, but they can all go FUCK OFF as far as I am concerned.

Rand is his own person - how many of us have kids that think and act exactly as we do for fucks sake.

Maybe it's good to have less of an 'echo chamber' but a lot of the criticism of RP seems... disingenuous.

Ron Paul is a fake "constitutionalist". He allowed a wholly unknown, possibly foreign born, certainly not natural born Citizen to attain the Whitehouse. He railed against the FED w/o actually doing anything.

Nothing but a steam valve.

Sadly, Ron Paul was "controlled opposition" -- it should be noted the Ron Paul's PAC for his 2012 election campaign was funded first and with the largest contribution by one Peter Thiel.  Peter was the founder of PayPal... but has, for a number of years now HEADED the STEERING COMMITTEE for BILDERBERG!!!!

Yup.  Go look it up if you can't accept that nasty reality.

Ron Paul's job was to give a voice to the hard-money, constitutional contingent of the People, which he did very well.  He was a realist, knowing full well that the JFK fate might have awaited if he, as a lone voice in the wilderness, ever gained traction for his views with the masses.

The Republican voters don't deserve Ron Paul - A classy, and decent human being.

The Republican voters were disgusted by his talk of peace, liberty, sound money and the constitution.

Donald Trump is what the Republicans voters really want: A life-long democrat, flip-floppin' asshole-atorian.

Gosh, ya' think?! If that isn't stating the damned obvious for so very many years, I don't know what is.

On the entire process, I'm from the George Carlin School of Thought on Citizen Effectiveness Through Voting. It's easy to graduate from that school and it's free. Just investigate recent and past history and use your f'ing brain. For most, that's apparently far too much to ask. George had some choice thoughts on that, too.
