I just got some confederate "money" framed to remind me why you need metals backing up paper. US dollar soon to be wallpaper.  Get ready.

When you have backed yourself into a corner by your own words, change the game.

Fed's original mandates:  Full employment, price stability

Then it picked up a new mandate:  Full employment, price stability and stability of financial markets

And with these minutes we know see they've added a fourth:  Full employment, price stability, stability of financial markets and support of the entire world's economy.

What is being celebrated in the markets right now is that last additional mandate.  They can now point anywhere in the world and use it as an excuse not to raise rates.  It's a lie, of course (reality is they're in the greatest liquidity trap of all time).  But it's a lie that will work.

Easy. The goal is to take out the S&P 2020.86 high. That's where all the stops are. Once they ramp to 2020.86 and hit all the buy stops and get everyone to buy from them above 2020.86 then it will drop.

My shorts were exploding back in Aug and early Sept.  Now underwater.  They were designed to protect longs.

According to my research, markets move in cycles, of which the table of 7 days (5 trading days) plays an important role. For example, when the 21, 35, 42, 63 day cycle line up, it’s Time to get ready for a change in trend (S&P500).

http://tripstrading.com/2015/10/09/sp500-how-cycles-take-their-time/

Today, OCT 8, points at a 7, 21, 42, 119 and 154 day cycle (TripsTrading Cycle Model, TTCM).

Tomorrow and Saturday represent a Bradley Model Date, OCT 9 and 10.

If the total cycle lasts 63 days, the decline will last till OCT 26. The 1850 -30 Price Target is based on the Negative Reversal of SEP 30.

So the cycles seem lined up to change the short term trend.

There is no "market" beyond "Tulip Mania" speculation. True price discovery is dead and that which cannot go on forever won't.

When that happens, when the next unforeseen event triggers a market reality epiphany, there will be just a whole lot of people in line way ahead of you to get the hell out, assuming that the day trading sites are still up.

What is the volume and strength? My guess we are seeing the PPT inject EO 12333, Title 18, Section 6 corp funds, and everyone else is following the trend. At some point, the funds run out, if not before someone cuts them off. Then the bottom falls out ..

If one operative – a Polish-Catholic kid from Wisconsin – could accumulate $27.5 trillion in Title 18 Section 6 companies, how much could there be in the remaining corporations established by other U.S. covert operatives around the world? Another good question is: Are these funds being used to fund rogue intelligence operations around the world? It would be one good way to keep the Congress from knowing what intelligence operations were occurring around the world because none of the alphabet agencies – or military intelligence, for that matter – would have to present budgets for approval. Congress wouldn’t be funding them. Funds from Title 18 Section 6 corporations would be footing the bills. Are the funds being used to create the infamous “Plunge Protection Team” or to manipulate the stock market… the precious metals markets?

More bankers sentenced to prison by the Supreme court in Iceland today.

http://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/news/2015/10/08/iceland_jails_bankers_...

Most of the top bankers from the failed banks have now been sentenced to prison, and lots of cases are making their way trough the justice system.

Its good to have a working justice system that ensures fair play, otherwise bankers could rip people off left right and center without ever having to worry about punishment of any sort.
