I've heard rumors that the Russians have developed and are using cluster munitions that home in on radio signals. It would suck to be a CIA operative imbedded in a rebel unit if so. I wondered about it when I saw the photos of the cluster bomb strikes on the first day. The explosion pattern looked non-random but they missed or avoided the heat signatures of vehicles. Maybe the first strike was aimed at unit level command and control. ISIS will be well and truly screwed if they can't stay on their radios and phones yelling "God is Great" all day.
.. well and truly screwed if they can't call Central anymore, which I suppose is the intent. I read the Russian day one strike on Raqqa hit the satalite uplink. In 13 months of bombing, the USAF somehow missed this?!?
