How To Massively Outperform The Market In Just 10 Minutes An Hour
Forget 6-Second-Abs. In just two 5-minute periods per hour, you too can become a billionaire guru "investing" expert, laud over your peers, and demand respect from every business media anchor. The trick is in our patent-pending "know when to buy 'em and sell 'em" timing model...
It's simple...
- Buy stocks at 40 minutes past the hour (and sell 5 minutes later), and
- Short stocks at 50 minutes past the hour (buying back 5 minutes later)...
And 50 percentage points of performance with no overnight risk (and no $29.95 per month fees)
Of course, prior performance is no reflection of future expected performance but when did that ever matter for the average dip-buying muppet?

is their an algo for that or an app?
Hold on, writing code now. omg omg omg We gonna be rich bittchez
Buy a fixed dollar amount of gold (dollar cost averaging) every month on the day of Op/Ex.
according to your simulations, the buybuybuysellsellsell played itself out in about a year (2010), and has been pretty meh since then.
the shortshortshortcovercovercover has been slower but steadier....and seems a bit more likely given how many bots out there are modifying algorithms on the hour.
after today, however, all the bots will be reprogrammed to dither the hourly marks at random times.
Can I sign up and somebody just send me the money?
HFT will endorse this PSA.
when the big hand is on eight you buybuybuy
when the big hand is on nine you sellsellsell
when the big had is on ten shortshortshort
big hand on eleven covercovercover
big hand on twelve jump up and yell booyah
That is actual HFT source code. I know because I wrote it - Brian Williams
slam dunk, radioflyer
(if that is your Real Name)
Cocaine would be a better sell.
that blows...
... just sniffing around for a profit...
And now a thousand souls will try that and lose 10% per day...
When you can find patterns like these in ostensibly random free and fair markets, you can be sure that markets are massively manipulated.
Or at a minimum majorly algorithm driven, not fundamentals driven.
And now that it's been noticed, the algo's will be 'adjusted'......
Given a big enough sample, you can find all kinds of real looking patterns. Reminds me of working on a chicken farm when I was a teenager. When you are in a building with 100,000 chickens, you can hear real words mixed in with all the din from the birds. What's really creepy is to listen for them calling your name. You will hear it every time. Over and over. Some kids had to quit when I pointed this out them. Too creepy for them to handle. They didn't understand random permutations.
lol, like giving a bunch of monkeys typewriters and eventually one will type a sentence. I have chickens, they make monkeys look like Einstein.
I hate it when chickens say my name. Especially when I'm alone in the house. When I see them carrying knives I'm out of here.
Was that you fighting that chicken? Oh, wait. That was Peter Griffin.
Indeed. I think a cherry picking farm would be better yet. The Outperform algo made all its outperformance in 09 and appears not to have a strong record outside of that time. The patterns hold over a long time, but how do you know this will be sustainable? Why not just buy the best performing stocks of the past 5 years? Are they guaranteed to outperform as well? Besides that it certainly is an interesting trend.
So, now I short at 40 after and buy at 50 after. Got it.
Im doing it right now, drinks on me later!
It's coming up on 40min. Hold on I need to test this...
How much did you make?
No answer means the poor bastard jumped.
Daily traders will recognize the typical spikiness that occurs as each hourly bar approaches its close, given how many technical strategies, stop levels, etc. are based on closing hourly levels. My guess as to the 40 and 50 min marks: algos tryin' to spoof those tryin' to cheat by early trading mid-bar on the last 15m and closing HRLY bar, respectively. It could also be those in winning trades closing early, given how many turnabouts seem to happen, magically, near bar-ends.
Sorry Goldman just patent it...you can't use it
if it was that easy a computer would be doing it.. oh wait....
Where's the next fight club. You ruined it for everyone.
These last 3 hours you just buy when the big hand hits 12 and keep adding.
Once the change the way RND numbers are generated in Most major Operating systems then HFT systems will be fucked. Or at least the markets will and no one will have a fucking clue what is going on.
As the old saying goes....don't tell me what to buy, just tell me when to sell.
Past performance does not guarantee future results...........
The Fed's PPT starts buying stocks daily from 945-1015am. Then again from 330-4pm. All to set trends and keep the markets from crashing. You can make some good money during those times.
The Fed is getting desperate. They need to be audited !!
Wow ! Traders jerking each other.
