US Consumer "Comfort" Surges At The Fastest Pace Since May 2009 (Driven By Black Women)

Remember the relief? The last 4 weeks have seen Bloomberg's Consumer Comfort index rise at the fastest pace since its "Off The Lows" move from March 2009... The driver, apparently, was women whose comfort rose from 41.6 to 43.0 as men dropped from 48.2 to 47.6; and while "white" people's comfort dropped from 45.3 to 44.5, "black" people surveyed saw a huge jump from 40.3 to 45.9 in their comfort.

With the biggest 2-week spike in "black" comfort since Nov 2007... (when Obama announce Oprah would appear with him on the campaign trail)

There are fundamentals, and then there are seizure inducing idiot-indexes like this one. It just means some black folk felt pretty good when they were asked, it says nothing meaningful about our economy at all. At best it tells you that we need to get some education going as people are "confident" right during a fucking recession, it tells you they will soon get fleeced for their blind trust in the system.

Stats that matter and tell you something about the economy: labor force participation rate vs unemployment rate, debt/gdp ratio, real inflation
Sadly those are also mostly manipulated, it's really hard to get proper stats these days...
