Martin Armstrong Explains How To Create A Fairer System
Submitted by Martin Armstrong via ArmstrongEconomics.com,
This is the problem with taxation. Major public corporations can move their tax domicile offshore to avoid taxes legally. The average person cannot move his labor offshore to lower his taxes, which is a disadvantage we must address with tax reform. VAT is far worse than a sales tax. Every person in the chain must collect and file paperwork. It must require three times the number of people to administer such a system compared to a point of sales tax collection.
But that issue aside, there should be ABSOLUTELY NO income taxes whatsoever. That not only eliminates government having to track everything, but it also eliminates the whole movement of capital solely for tax purposes. This is unfair, for the average person cannot send their labor offshore to avoid taxation without moving. Even then, that would only get an American the first $100,000 tax-free; after that, it would be subjected to U.S. income tax.
The Founding Fathers of the United States revolted over taxation without representation. We are back to that now, for we are being taxed to pay interest to service debts from the last two generations. We had no right to vote on that spending, which took place before we were born. This is not a democratic process.
There should be ONLY a retail sales tax EXCLUSIVELY for local government.
Federal government should be prohibited from imposing ANY tax and it should be barred from borrowing money. The local tax will naturally be checked by the free market, for if they keep raising taxes, businesses will move to the next town and there goes the jobs. This will help to restrain government on a more practical level.
Moreover, there should be NO PUBLIC SCHOOLS. All schools should be private for then there will be no mismanagement, crazy pension failures, or tax hikes to line their pockets. Schools should be by voucher and run by private industry just like Catholic schools, which were always known for having better education in the States.
It is the teachers and their unions who have ruined society, as taxes are imposed on property and people cannot afford to retire in their home where they raised a family. They are forced to sell because they cannot afford taxes that never stop and only rise. PROPERTY TAXES must also be abolished.
* * *
Our problem is the total mismanagement of government. They promise and award themselves all sorts of perks, which reduces the quality of life for everyone else. We must look at the cause and that is the seriously flawed design of the financial-economic-governmental system.

2015.75 came and went
Armstrong claims his date is just a beginning, not climax in a snuf film.
2015.75
Total Bullshit.
Just like all the rest of his Bullshit.
End of report.
US Federal Debt – Problem Solved
The US federal debt is not legitimate, and thus no one should expect repayment:
Now let’s elaborate a little to help those who are being defrauded to defend themselves.
The American government has been spending trillions of dollars on programs it had no Constitutional authority to create, and such unconstitutional expenditures exceed the amount of the federal debt. Therefore,
Not only are most government programs themselves unconstitutional, but the debt used to pay for these unconstitutional programs, which were created by previous taxpayers, is paid for by future taxpayers. Therefore,
Taxation without representation is also unconstitutional. In fact, it is the reason America seceded from the British empire.
Given that the US Constitution is pretty simple, then anyone who loaned money to the US government should have known that they were loaning money to a fraudulent and illegitimate enterprise and thus should not expect repayment.
Of course, there would be a huge consequence – no one would be willing to loan money to the US government again until it started obeying the Constitution, which would be ...
Good!
Although the US federal debt is not legitimate, most of the lender’s themselves are not legitimate either:
Much of the money loaned to the US government came from other governments as well as from the US government itself. However, all taxes collected by all governments are an initiation of force or fraud unless the taxpayer is paying voluntarily, and I have not met a single voluntary taxpayer in any country. We know this because even the tiny percentage who say they want the government to take taxes from them have never paid one penny more than their government takes by force, and of course, they have no right to take any of the fruits of other men’s labor. Therefore, governments should not expect repayment.
Over 90% of the money loaned to the US government was created out of thin by central banks, governments, and fractional reserve banking. They also have a monopoly on the creation of money; whereas, in reality, money is a product like any other. Such monopoly money out of thin air is known as fiat currency. Now consider that:
More specifically, most of the money loaned to the US government was loaned by governments or banks who created it out of thin air while forcibly preventing competition with their fiat from honest money. Therefore, those who created fiat and loaned it to the US government should not expect repayment.
Tell it to the Judge....
Exactly. I'm not disagreeing with Jimbo but nothing will prevent a severe increase in taxes to "balance the budget". It's all horse shit. Constitutional/Unconstitutional blah, blah, blah blah.
The end result is we're fucked Jimbo.
The U.S. Constitution only applies to the People of the United States and their Posterity. If you are a U.S. Citizen... you are NOT "the People" and the contract that is called the Constitution does NOT apply to you.
U.S. Citizens are the debtors, the People are the creditors. You own NOTHING. You are a "tenant in deed" in your so-called home. You are a renter and under the LAW an immigrant in the state you live and the property of the U.S. Government Washington D.C. (a trade association for the land owners who "own the land" you live on and collect a portion of your property tax as rent payment).
You agreed to this swindle when you obtained your social security number and drivers license. Your "sir name" is government property and you are using it as a government franchise in order to conduct commerce.
You are a slave...nothing more, and you and your posterity will pay all of the debts. When you don't...they will bring on WWIII and begin eliminating the unfunded liabilities.
Welcome to the Matrix, Neo. It's gonna turn into a meat-puppet slaughter house very soon.
Yup, and this should be viewed in that light as mere obfuscation.
2015.75, Sept-30, is the day Russia started bombing Syria.
Shimetah is Hebrew for Russians bombing Syria? No way.
thats good enough for me.........ill be watching the jew stream media to see how often they mention ISIS......thats the tip off........
The "solution" is to recognize and codify that a Corporation IS NOT a human being.
From that political contributions, lobbying, criminal justice, all give citizens - where ever they may be - their voice back.
Until that happens things will get worse for all people in this fragile world.
TTP is just an extension of this corrupt unchallenged Corporate Power run amok.
it is the war/money growth system martin.

Default on the debts.
Make balance budgets with no borrowing the law.
Hang central bankers.
Then have a nice cocktail.
The only way we could get back to a point such as Martin suggests, is with an "honest" military to do a coup and crush all the educated idiots in Washington and banks/big corps.
The problem is that people do not understand that humans always act in self-interest. If Humans are government officials and their self-interest in helping corporations outweighs their interest in helping the people, they will sell you out faster than you can say Hope and Change. Socialism needs government to enforce it's ideals which is why it is destroyed by corruption. True free market Capitalism however, acknowledges this and harnesses private interest for mutual benefit.
I have to agree that public school has turned into a huge failure. People don't seem to want to quantify what they are getting from the colosal amount of spending concerning the public school system, the medical industry etc. We are basically paying to have our kids indoctrinated and dumbed down. The one room school house absolutely kicked ass on this current system. If you don't believe that look at any written correspondence from 100 years ago or more. It's hard to compare medicine with that of the recent past for numerous reasons which include improved sanitation but one can easily see that we are getting our eyes gouged out there too.
Science has advanced so much that it may seem difficult to teach it outside of the statist system but if people volunteered even small amounts of time to educate children the way they volunteer for church or Dad's day at school this could be overcome easily. Scientists and other professionals should be lecturing for gradeschool children even. Back in the day kids were exposed to information that was over their heads regularly due to the fact that a 6 year old was in class with 15 year olds. High literature was read to all. Our kids should be exposed to all kinds of ideas and philosophies but they sitting in incredibly expensive statist prison schools instead.
Shuuu! Go back to sleep. Your FREE STUFF package arrives tomorrow!
not interested; most want destruction.
fuck you Donald Duck fuck you
"It is the teachers and their unions who have ruined society,"
Well... I can think of many more worse things. Being in prison really messed up this man's mind.
No shit. When I see simplistic statements such as that I think what about all of the robber barons, politcians, bankers, the Federal Reserve, cradle to grave nanny state breast feeting ad infinitum, wars, Fannie, Freddy, Sallie, stupid fucking institutions like the dept of energy which have never done a fucking thing...and this guy lays all the blame at teachers and unions?
That of course is when my dumb fuck meter goes off. I wish it were that simple Martin. I shorely do.
I think of proof readers
i wonder if i can sue the irs and state tax agency for emotional distress
down voting you - following the mob
This is not a democratic process.
Democracy has nothing to do with it. Democracy is actually a particularly horrible system of bovernment. It trades a single tyrant taking advantage of everyone for the sake of a few for a tyranical majority taking advantage of the minority for the sake of their cronies. Being democratic does not make you free in any way. The only reason it half works in the US is a two party system so at least it seems like most people can vote themselves entitelments from others. What if there were four competing factions then 75% of people would be against everything that happens.
What made the US special and unique was not Democracy. It was freedom. Protection from the opressive rule of an out of control government. We haven't been a free nation for a long time. And particularly not since the IRS has been granted the ability to circumvent nearly every right in the constitution. Clearly forcing people to buy health insurance is a gross violation of our freedom, but never mind, it's legal because it's the IRS.
We also have had taxation without representation for a long long time. It's called pork barrel spending, bringing home the bacon or whatever. If California can refuse to spend on infrastructure, then get the federal government ot do it then people in Iowa or Maine are paying for stuff in California, with no vote in how California spends their money.
Excellent comment. We were born a Republic. A Republic where the rule of law protected the minority from the whims of a mob rule democracy which took over, suspended the rule of law, and passed this theivery called Obamacare.
That is currently why I absolutely hate and detest the Supreme Court who are supposed to call balls and strikes not participate in mob rule democracy while suspending the rule of law and the Bill of Rights..
Republic, Democracy, Oligarchy, Politeia... at this point was difference does it make, I am surrounded by hedgetards.
America was founded as an oligarchy.
So it's preferable that 99% of the citizenry is oppressed, as opposed to only 49% being oppressed?
(at least the second and third paragraphs were rational)
I agree with a lot of what he says- the problem is he's too fucking simplistic. Go ask someone, anyone- your political science friend or professor. What should the role of government be?
The problem most people have is defining the role of government. Anyone??
-The safety and protection of it's citizens as a whole. That's it.
If it doesn't fall under that heading- it should be gone. We need law enforcement. We need agencies like the FAA and the FDA. We need the military for protection.
What we don't need is government hijacking our education system. We don't need cradle to grave welfare, food stamps, farm subsidies, oil and gas subsidies, medical care. We don't need government administering student loans and housing loans. We don't need them bailing out their banker cronies or their health care industry cronies. We don't need them ripping us off at every national park. We don't need a private bank (the FED) skimming the American public with nterest and currency manipulation.
None of that shit comes under the heading of the safety and protection of our citizens- of course our whole country is confused because nobody wrote a simple explanation or job description of what government should do or not do. Now we have this giant money sucking monstrosity that at some point is going to cause a revolution, a bunch of dead statists, and a rebirth.
This fucker can only go one way. We are past the point of no return. Let's just burn this POS down now and get it over with. I prefer the fast death to the slow frog boiling death.
The role of our the government is clearly defined in the consitution. The problem is we don't pay attention to it any more. The Supreme Court whose role was not intended to be the arbiter of what is consitutional has found ways to exuse the unconsitutional. The people who argued over and then wrote the contitution left ample evidence of what they intended. It's just more expedient to ignore it than actually ratify the consitution.
Nowhere in the enumerated powers of government is their a justification for the department of education, or actually most of the departments. Most of what they do could be done by the states or private organizations. There's only one reason for their existence, monopoly power. The ability to give people no choice but to have their children taught the way they want taught. What's wrong with people in Chicago deciding how their children should be educated. Nothing, but we could have that because then people would figure out what a collasal mess centrally planned crap like this is.
Where is this clear definition that you speak of? Do tell.
Ah, that is where the statists have you. They are willing to draw out a plan that spans decades.
We don't need fairness, we need Justice......
GREAT READ - something that makes perfectly good sense - god knows what we have doesn't work. I don't usually comment - I did earlier today to a ZH article where the graphs made no sense to me - I have very educated siblings living very sucessful lives and when I share this kind of stuff from ZH I'm blown away - they don't say 'oh maybe I'd better keep an eye out' - they totally blow me off. I may be broke right now but I developed 2 businesses that were doing 1.3m and 2.0m when I sold them.
I'm not totally stupid and Crocodile yer not either.
Keep up the good work ZH - if I ever get rich again I'll keep ya in mind.PEACE
Thats why a few of us are here Elvis. Because there's a whole lot of them out there.
They blow you off because they've been taught to be "critical thinkers" which in the terms of the educational system of the US means they've been indoctrinated to think the right way and dismiss any facts which might prove their wrong. They use propaganda methods like dismissing actual facts because of who they came from it.
The system is fair. Karma rules the material world. Armstrong, another megalomaniac, likes to be God. But ... he is isn't. Hare Krishna.
In California where teachers enjoy $107,000+ annual pensions, plus hundreds of thousands more in free retiree health care benefits for life... nearly 30% of the state’s school children are either illegal immigrants or do not speak English. White students are now a minority in the system, as they are in the nation, according to the AP.
"Did you know that for years one third of all tuition increases in the UC system goes to the UC pensions system, which has an unfunded liability of approximately $21 billion?” -- Ring: Why Every New California Tax is Really Just For Pensions, September 17, 2014, by Stephen Frank
School vouchers? Doesn't that mean the government is collecting the money via taxation? If they have the $$, they'll call the shots. That's unavoidable.
No, we need a complete separation of education and state. In fact, we need separation of pretty much everything and state.
Of course, for society to last without eventually imploding, we need honest money. Central banking and fractional reserve banking need to be abolished. Stringing up a few banking executives on pay per view would be a really good start.
Heck they could turn the power back to the states. Make the department of education a private organization that states can volentarily belong to. Then fund it from those states.
The problem is it's been used for social engineering an a vast body of laws exist that are made and administered by the beurocrats in the department of education. To do away with it you'd first have to figure out what to do with the administrative power to make law granted to it.
there are many critics of what M.Armstrong has written though what I see in his data going back in history the cycles he has identified are not in question if you can read or recognize a simple graph. You do not need to be some economic wiz to see how the natural cycles have run over what men have tried to control for centuries. The natural human behavior is still at work and we repeat the same BS thinking we did coming out caves. We keep thinking we can outsmart the trends and control markets when all we have ever done is destroy them and cause more chaos. My 2 cents goes on the cycles overtaking us and that our professional poloticians world wide will drive the world to crash a burn and hopefully we don't get to the 'Mad Maxx' world in the movies. It is past the tipping point IMO so that puts us in survival mode end of story. Good luck to all
We must look at the cause and that is the seriously flawed design of the financial-economic-governmental system
This is a lie. The cause is ignorance. It begins in the mind. The fact that there is a financial-economic-governmental system, period, is merely an effect - the aggregated manifestation of ignorant and fearful thinking. Confusing effects for causes will get us exactly what we've got.
"Schools should be by voucher and run by private industry just like Catholic schools, which were always known for having better education in the States."
Mr. Armstrong, you're forgotten about the Paedophiles in the Clergy and Layity who watch over their Children...
And you clearly have forgotten the pedos in our public school system. It's not just dirty old male teachers anymore. Some of the younger male teachers and some of the female teachers are now preying on our children.
I get sick of hearing people whining about the priests as if they were/are the only ones preying on children.
Not whining. A Fact, Asshole - that can't be ignored.
The Clergy Paedophile DON'T get Prosecuted when caught. They might get defrocked; but then, they're "Layity" who need help and counseling.
The Paedophilia cases are quite up there in number. E.g., (OccupytheVatican FB Page), the Cleveland Archdiocese averaged 333 Cases annually for past 60 Years, IIRC.
The Roman Catholic Church IS perhaps Host to the LARGEST SOCIAL COLLECTIVE OF PAEDOPHILES here on Earth. I'm sure a few victims - due to their exposure/imprinting/enslavement at youth - may become paedophiles themselves.
So we have some Paedophile in Public/Private Schools. Let the People investigate, prosecute, and incarcerated as applicable.
Marty whines about stuff the same way we do.
Corporations are people.
Money is speech.
A badge means absolute power.
Let's begin here
So the overwhelming source of America's woes are public primary education and teacher unions? I guess Armstrong wants to trash the Constitution too since giving the federal gov't the power to impose tariffs and coin money were two of the principal issues with the Constitutional Convention through out all of 1786 and into 1787.
More sophomorific trash from one of the many third-rate op-ed posters here.
This idea that most Americans can home-school their children in the first place or are remotely qualified to do so is not justified by any sets of facts. Just look at how Americans do on basic math and analytical exercises or their basic reading comprehension.
There are a myriad of public school problems and issues but you lose any credibility when you suggest that we should just have a society where everyone simply relies upon their own means and ability to teach their children.
To say a monolithic institutional monopoly forcing children to submit to 12 years of its one-size-fits all daily regimen of propaganda, obedience training, and memorization drilling has "problems and issues" is insane. What children are exposed to in a state school is worse than bad education, it's toxicificaton and dis-education.
For survivors able to preserve any of their creativity, independence, rationality, and values, it often takes many more years of real world experiences and reading of alternative sources coupled with critical re-examination of everything they've been taught to un-learn the toxic attitudes, ditch the disfunctional behaviors, and debunk the false ideas beaten into them by the state system.
Compared to this psychological and intellectual damage, parental teaching skill weakness pales by comparison in terms of net impact to the child. When children's passion, questioning, creativity, critical thinking are all nurtured, encouraged, and allowed to take off, kids organically fight to learn of their own accord in pursuit of their own passions. All they need is a guide/coach supplying a framework and the proper resources. To fill expertise gaps, the homeschool parent should arrange for tutors, materials, and apprenticeships ideally in collaboration with other homeschooling parents to reduce costs. All things considered, the child is left with an infinitely better outcome.
Sure, specialization of labor would have been better. If the government didn't tax away all the funds required to educate a child and didn't regulate the education market keeping out competition, parents could outsource the work to one of thousands of small private schools of their own choosing that used methods and taught values they approve of. With that money taken by government and no vibrant market for education allowed to exist, parents can't afford to outsource and don't have any good options to outsource to. So they must do as best they can on their own for the sake of their kids' well being.
LISTEN, THE SUPREME COUTR RULED 100 YEARS AGO. "INCOME" IS A "PROFIT"! YOU DO NOT DERIVE "INCOME" BY PROVIDING SERVICES AND CHARGING FOR THEM!! Damn, people are in denial! You labor is your property and exchanging it for money is an equal exchange! Good grief!
Since we have state representatives and not individual representatives in Congress, I agree the 16th amendment should be abolished along with the IRS and all federal taxes should be aportioned to the states. If a state sees too much money going back to DC, the people can replace their representatives with ones that will do a better job of protecting their state's coffers. Debts created through Federal deficits (profligate pork barrel spending)would not be a taxpayer liability as it is now under the 16th amendment. People would have an increased sense of indivisual soveriegnty. Think about how much today's tax AND monetary policy is engineered to FORCE personal behavior relating particularly to consumption and going into debt?? ie: If you do not adequately consume, DC will income tax more of your income and give to to someone who will consume!
Germany's schools are mostly public. The private schools that exist are forced to operate within the same limits placed on public schools, (for example, private school teachers are salary capped to the same level as the public system).
Strangely, Germany's educational outcomes are excellent.
I blame erosion of law and proliferation of cronies in a feedback loop. That loop isn't unique to education and it's plain stupid to target the currently dysfunctional education system as the root cause when, in fact, cronyism exists across the spectrum in the USA.
The most obvious and powerful example of the loop in action is that between Wall St and DC. Point the finger at that with priority.
In my (somewhat dated) experience, US private school teachers accepted significantly less salary and benefits than their public school counterparts. I don't think that has actually changed. Although at 35K for primary and 50k for secondary now, a lot more than just the Fed's utterly insane use of CTRL-P is to blame.
Who, outside of the elite, can even afford to sacrifice that for their children?
The LAST thing I want is government forcing private schools to do anything, or placing limits on them. It is government intervention in the education market that has so royally screwed us all in the first place.
The restoration of the Republic is the goal everyone should be shooting for.
People are so ignorant I remember my daughter actually listened to me and wrote a paper for her American government class about the amendment that brought about direct election of Senators and her thesis was that we should put it back the way it was.
The teacher of course thought this was the most backward nonsensical non-democratic thing and basically patted her on the head and said good try but you are completely off base.
At that very moment every last twitching vestige of repect I had for the public school system stopped twitching and it's been gone ever since.
I don't think the teacher had an agenda that was what was so horrifying about the whole thing, they honestly were completely ignorant of the intention of the entire setup and all the work of our founding fathers has been eroded in a morass of idiots.
So teachers unions may not be the direct spawn of the devil however since their inception, teaching, at least in my opinion, has lost most of it's respect and went from a position that was honored if not compensated well to now exactly the opposite.
Parents are as much to blame if not more though because they just packed the tots up and sent them into the stupid factories.
Now an entire generation believes in Bernie Sanders.
God help us all.
POLITICAL FUNDING,
ENFORCING FRAUDS!
DEBT SLAVERY BACKED BY
WARS BASED ON DECEITS.
DEBT INSANITIES ENDING
WITH DEATH INSANITIES!
It is politically impossible to fix those primary problems of the mechanisms of POLITICAL FUNDING, and therefore, NOT POSSIBLE to stop the runaway debt insanities provoking death insanities. That is especially the case because the only genuine resolutions to the real problems would require more realistic death control systems ... however, that now can not cope with the POLITICAL FUNDING mechanisms having already driven vicious spirals of ENFORCING FRAUDS.
The article above was grossly superficial regarding how and why various tax exempt foundations drove the development of education to achieve what was eloquently described by George Carlin:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jQT7_rVxAE
George Carlin on American Owners and EducationI would qualify that presentation with the view that the "owners" are based upon integrated systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence. Nothing outside of that can actually resolve the real issues. Only different death control systems could actually change things. However, that then runs into head-on collisions with the history of successful warfare being based upon backing up deceits with destruction, that then morphed to become successful finance based upon enforcing frauds.
Martin Armstrong is typical of the kinds of superficial analyses, followed by superficial, bogus, solutions to the political problems which were previously subjected to that kind of superficial analysis, which continue to use labels, or political terms, that neither match their dictionary definitions, nor the actual social facts.
Essentially, the deeper issues are how to develop "fairer murder systems," since everything else depends upon those.
Of course, it is correct to state that:
However, the serious flaws in those systems were driven by natural selection pressures. Guys like Martin Armstrong, as is typical of most of the content on Zero Hedge, continue to indulge in superficial analyses of the ways that money is necessarily measurement backed by murder, as the most abstract form of private property being claims backed by coercions. The "financial-economic-governmental system" developed upon the basis of the applications of the principles and methods of organized crime through the political processes. There are NO good solutions which would not necessarily become better organized crime, because, there are NO realistic resolutions which would not have their death controls and murder systems as central to everything else.
The essential historical problems are that the currently established systems developed on the basis of the maximum possible deceits and frauds, because that was what was most socially successful. "Citizens" were deliberately brainwashed to believe in the biggest bullies' bullshit world views, with respect to EVERYTHING, including that there is almost nothing but controlled opposition surrounding the core of organized crime, which is currently the bankster dominated governments.
The ONLY way to have better "citizens" would be for enough of them to understand how and why they are necessarily members of an organized crime gang, called their country, because there is nothing but the dynamic equilibria between different systems of organized lies operating robberies, whereby governments became the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangsters, which are currently the international banksters.
Meanwhile, Martin Armstrong is merely another typical reactionary revolutionary, proposing bogus "solutions" which have no ways to be implemented, due to the established systems being actually based on vicious spirals of POLITICAL FUNDING ENFORCING FRAUDS. Therefore, the most probable futures will be for the runaway debt insanities to provoke death insanities, while the only possible better resolutions of those problems may emerge from those death insanities, as better death control systems.
What makes any actually fairer system problematic is that it would have to have fairer death control systems in order to actually work.
Fck Armstrong....a very bright guy but he's also to be taken with ecaution. This whole collapse date thing is BS.....this is also the dude who would rather go to jail then give up his gold stash....yet gold according to armstrong is a useless metal....alrighty Marty then.
