Let's imagine for a few minutes that the ongoing-global-currency war and proxy wars somehow, unexpectedly, blow up into a world war directly involving you, wherever it is that you live. Specifically, imagine that one side is able to achieve surprise, and as you sit at your desk, today, the power and all telecommunications go out without warning. Within 15 minutes, everyone notices a large amount of what is obviously military aircraft activity, evidenced by sonic booms, and soon there are several very bright flashes on the horizon in the direction of the closest military base.
The odds of this actually happening are not zero.
You may very well survive a nuclear war. Did you know that there have been over 500 above-ground detonations of nuclear weapons.
As an exercise, please consider the following questions:
How do you think most others around you would react?
Do you already have a plan that you would implement for this type of scenario?
What immediate action(s) would you take?
What are the three most likely perils you might face?
What is the thing you could do, now, to most improve your chance of surviving each of these three perils?
Here are my responses.
How do you think most others around you would react? I believe the amount of panic in any major American city, like mine, would be absolutely hellacious, literally, and streets would become impassable to cars almost immediately. Many people would either become catatonic with disbelief, die of a heart attack, or quickly progress from fear to the emotion that most know best, anger. People would resort to any and all measures to try to get out of the cities.
Do you already have a plan that you would implement for this type of scenario? Yes.
What immediate action(s) would you take? I would ride a motorcycle (very quickly) on train tracks, or other previously reconnoitered route, to one of several pre-planned rally points that have a bomb and fallout shelter.
What are the three most likely perils you might face? 1) Nuclear weapon blast or fallout 2) Lack of drinking water 3) Starvation
What is the thing you could do, now, to most improve your chance of surviving each of these three perils? 1) Remember the excellent information in this goofy dude's videos. 2) Have water stored at shelter 3) Have food stored at shelter.
Do you even know where to find a fallout shelter? How quickly can you get to one? Will you be able to get in?

Let me guess - Did you say Mushroom Cloud ?? - ever seen a conventional explosion, they also produce mushroom clouds.
Are you pointing me to all those videos about the atoll explosions and the various videos filmed in Lookout mountain in Laurel Canyon. Beside the obvoius models of buses and houses which are not real and are minature models and the fake trees, that swing back and forth after getting hit with a blast wave and it is very obvious, explain to me how the camera captured those shots without being incinerated and film being completely destroyed when even X-ray's will destroy films completely.
Perhaps you should do an analyses of those videos, nothing too fancy just watch them in .1x speed. you will notice layering and several other issues with those videos, explosions in the sea and the cloud layers dont change, issues with the mushroom cloud itself. This is for american and USSR explosions.
Then look at pictures of Tokyo fire bombing and compare them to Nagasaki and hiroshima, you will see that they are similar, that concrete structures are still left standing.
Ever wonder the statement about the nuclear explosion being brighter then a 1000 suns, then why is it still shown in the red / orangle specturm, it should have a white / bluish hue to it.

Also, does anyone wonder how they measured that the nuclear explosion equals this many tons of TNT, did you know that they actually used to detonate mountains of TNT in Trinity for comparative purposes, so how do you know the explosions seen from a distance is a nuclear bomb or a mountain of TNT.
I know it's taboo to feed trolls, but I really think you should take a "spin" on one of those giant particle accelerators. Y'know, just to test out your theory.

All of the US's 100+ nuclear reactors would meltdown. The failure of all those reactors would be far worse than the all of the bombs. lots of Farmland will become contaminated. Farmers won't be able to get fuel to grow and harvest crops. Also the Average age of US farmers is now over 60 years. I very much doubt the will be able to the manual labor need without machinery.

I've lived with this shit for over 60 years.
When i was a kid i awoke in panic and fear during a thunder storm thinking it was a nuclear blast.
I was in Sweden during the Cuban Missile crises - we were in a small town and spoke no Swedish.
The newspaper vendor stood by a stack of papers with the headline K v K.
We asked in broken German, English and Swedish what TF was going on. The paper guy shouted "Kruschev, Kennedy, Boom Boom Boom!
We ran back to the ship thinking that maybe the UK and parts of Europe had already been hit.
My mother stated "We may not be able to go home".
We tuned to BBC world service and heard about the Cuba deal - the captain opened the sealed customs locker (crime and fired if discovered) to meet the demand for alcohol. Everyone got totaly Bongo'd.
We continue to be lucky - i think it's all divine will and time lines.
Perhaps SS500 can really intercept everything - saved by the Russians? I can dream.
But as long as our beloved leaders continue this childish game the risk is always there.

I experienced similar events growing up. I remember having to submit a plan to get home by way of ditches and storm drains during the missile crisis. I even remember my teacher crying from fear.
As a child, the only thing that worried me was the nuke.

I dont know. I get the feeling that the intensity of several social problems would lessen, such as the muslim invasions or the financial cartel rackets, but i dont see those problems dissapearing. But who knows they might.
Gaza would most likely be abandoned and the population would move to the pristine ruins of Ashkelon, Tel Aviv and a string of coastal cities. These cities would eventually decay until reaching economic parity with Cairo or Beirut. Perhaps civil war would break out among the palestinian factions for control of their new holdings.
