GOP Debate III Post Mortem: Trump Top, Fiorina Flop, Bush (& CNBC) Biggest Loser
"Debates in Turmoil" would have been an appropriate summary for tonight's free-for-all CNBC-sponsored screamfest in Boulder, Colorado. Argumentative moderators, mis-stated facts, time complaints, and general whining was everywhere but Trump still managed to come out the other side of this gauntlet unscathed. One major highlight included Santelli and Paul pushing 'Audit The Fed', calls for gold-backed currency, and exclaimed that The Fed "has been a great problem" in US society. However, what was odd was the apparent slights to Trump and Carson (questioned less directly) which resulted in an aberrantly low 'talking time' for the leading candidates.

But across all polls, Trump was the clear winner in the main event (and Bush nearly the biggest loser)...

And Bush was the "biggest loser"..Jeb Bush finally, 85 minutes in, gets to talk about his plan for 4% growth. It’s hard to figure how bland talk of reform is going to win him much new support. There was no applause for his explanation...

As Politico report, CNBC was also the biggest loser...
The CNBC-moderated debate became, at crucial moments, a debate about CNBC, as various candidates and, at times, the audience, turned the tables on the network’s three moderators.
The repeated bursts of anger and anarchy were prompted, in part, by questions from the moderators that veered, at times, beyond sharp into contentiousness. By the end of the first hour, the audience seemed to be siding with the candidates, booing when CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla seemed to play gotcha with Ben Carson about his past work for a questionable company.
...
The pattern was established very early by Donald Trump, spurred by a question about his tax plan from CNBC’s John Harwood that suggested the businessman was running a “comic-book” campaign. Trump angrily proclaimed that the network’s own star host, Larry Kudlow, had praised his tax plan.
Soon after, Texas senator Ted Cruz picked up the cudgel declaring, in response to a question from Quintanilla about raising the debt ceiling, “Let me say something at the outset. The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don’t trust the media. This is not a cage match. The questions shouldn’t be getting people to tear into each other.”
Cruz, his voice rising in indignation, cited Harwood’s “comic-book” question to Trump and one from CNBC’s Becky Quick to Carson that declared that his flat-tax plan wouldn’t bring in nearly as much revenue as he claimed. After Cruz waxed on about a double standard between Democratic and Republican debates, Quintanilla seemed visibly irritated, and he and Harwood each refused to give Cruz any extra time to answer the original question.
A few minutes later, they seemed to think better of it and did give Cruz the time. But the spuriousness of the decision left them open to further expressions of outrage by other candidates whenever the moderators tried to cut them off.
The unruly atmosphere was a far cry from what CNBC seemed to want and expect, from a gauzy opening photo montage to a series of promotions emphasizing what Quintanilla, at the outset, called, “CNBC’s top experts in the markets and personal finance” and “the best team in business” journalism.
"The CNBC anchors are just desperately filling airtime with absolute nonsense to kill time,” conservative writer John Tabin tweeted.

I watched. Rand Paul was great and Ted Cruz (who I hate) even had a brilliant moment calling out the MSM. Trump was good. I wish Santelli had chaired the fucking thing.
Fiorina is the Terminator from Terminator 3.
I hate DC more than anyone. Clinton/Chinese launch technology. Bush's TARP. ObamaCare.
But the smartest human in the 2016 election is Cruz. Will he suck? He will suck less than Progressive USA.
Fucking KILL PROGRESSIVISM. BUT let's get someone who has a brain to screw us vs. TOTAL FUCKING MORONS! POTUS 44 takes the cake.
Instead of paying attention to FAKE conservatives, we should be Burning down the House. Vote Bernie Sanders, when going full retard is the only sane position.
Bernie will redefine Spending and debt limits. Stack the deck and vote Bernie. Bern down the house, the street and the neighborhood.
Bernie will destroy any credibility the FED has in a short period.
You know what? I just don't fucking believe in this shit anymore. I will hit ZH and poke around google news for the fall out of the debate, but fuck watching this crap. They can't have my consent. Maybe, when election day comes around, maybe I might vote (and I was a very regular voter since 18). It doesn't matter and I don't give a shit. I am paying off all my debts and making the smallest fucking tax footprint possible thereafter. I will pinch the buffalo nickle of liberty and freedom til it shits! Our wonderful country is largely populated by emasculated men. I will let a female ZHer go off on the complete lack of real women. The cake I am getting served is about baked and it is made out of shit. Who serves it to me doesn't matter.
History is replete with fabulously rich and wealthy nations being inherited by the grand children and run into the ground because they are too damn lazy/stupid/greedy/selfish to actually run a damn shoe shine business.
If I die at 85 with a large caliber sidearm in gods church (i.e. in/around/near the beautiful outdoors) while not getting robbed by wothless youth or the state, get to eat three hots, sleeping in a warm cot, and shitting in a flushing pot I will call that a winner. Humanity is so fucking done in several hundred years anyway. This is all just a selfish jerkoff with no though about how things are going to roll in 50 or 100 years (talking about energy - not this global warming bullshit).
Thanks for listening to the rant. I feel better.
Regards,
Cooter
Dear CNN,
On behalf of America, along side Donald, and in response to your smarmy, partisan corporate cocksucking psuedo news
GO FUCK YOURSELF
Did you see the arrogant smirks on the moderators faces? It was nauseating. My personal favorite was Huckabee's equating the government to a "bag of gas" wreaking havoc everywhere it goes.
Trump continues to lead in the polls for one simple reason...
He says he will send the illegals back. Period. No if, ands or buts.
They are hiding the polls better now. Trump still won. Bernie came in second, as several candidates were channeling him. Rubio is the media's darling, though, because he sucks Koch.
Now that Jeb is toast Rubio is the only hope for continuing the Bush dynasty. Besides Hillary, almost forgot about how the clintons and the Bushes have been in bed since Iran / Contra, probably before.
I didnt watch.
I heard some on the radio while outside smoking a butt.
I liked the part when they were asking Dr. Carson about his involvement with a phareceutical company and why he didnt vet the company better when they used him on the front of their website.
When the audience booded the moderator and Dr Carson said,"There's your answer", I about ashed all over myself.
The CNBC goons agenda was clear on this debate.
Fuck them all and save a hot load for Becky Quick's eyes.
i'd rather wack off with a cheese grater than have any sort of "hot load" relations with Becky the cunt Quick
I'm hitching my wagon to Bernie Sanders. I want free health care and college. Plus I need to get my teeth fixed. Somebody has to pay for it, and it's not going to be me.
I gave you +1 for good sarcasm.
CG
In the UK is is widely known that many people joined the labour Party and voted for Jeremy Corbin as Leader, just to get the whole movement sidelined for 5 years. Looks like your Bernie S. is the one to vote for so that everyone can see how politics really is.
/s is omitted, as it is not intended.
Who's this Jeb Bush they keep mentioning?
Last night showed me how much Mark Haines was sorely missed!
"What three apps do you have on your phone?" Who approved that question? I thought this was going to be a discussion of economic issues. CNBC was the BIG loser!
Ya know, I've not run the numbers but I wonder if we reduced our bloated death machine to perhaps 100,000 men, mothballed the 500 million dollar fighters, the carrier battle groups etc. and just relied on the fact that ballistic missles could incinerate all attackers ...
Cleaned up the medical monopolies...
Expelled all the invaders...
Imposed import duties and policies to bring back manufacturing ....
Executed a few hundred bankers ....
We could do all Bernie wants, and more, but while halving the tax rates.
So it's funny that the State might actually help you, your family - Ha Ha! Socialism Hee Hee ... but the fact is we've got socialism for the military, the banks, the massive conglomerates - and you and yours are bleeding for it, today.
While you laugh at the absurdity of Socialism, Sanders-Style, while paying the fascists their pound of flesh.
I am not going to dismiss your points out of hand.
Oh, damn. Yes I am. I don't want to live in a soviet shithole.
Machine gun
You're welcome, Crazy Cooter. But you seem angry like many ZHers and yet are eloquent in your anger. "I will pinch the buffalo nickle of liberty and freedom til it shits".
I think I'll vote for Jimmy Carter this time around.
Don't get me wrong, I love my country, but my government is a nutter meth whore these days. How else do you feel if you still feel?
The comment you quoted was bait for LETR, but he didn't go for it.:-)
Obama was Carter. Reagan is up next.
But the shit cake is still baked. No way out that I see.
Regards,
Cooter
I understand, and share your disgust.
I went out with my brothers-in-law to watch the Spurs opener tonight, hitting a local sports joint filled with flat screens and plenty of patrons.
Everybody whooping and hollering over this game or that one.
There was one TV in an area off to the side with the debates on, and it was the only one.
There was ONE person watching that monitor. Just one...
And I can understand that too. When I think back to the debates we saw more than 30 years ago, or think back to those I've seen ex-post of, say, Kennedy and Nixon, what we have today is a fucking circus. As far as I'm concerned, NONE of those running deserve or are qualified to be a POTUS.
We need another Washington or Lincoln...and they aren't running. Given who the electorate is today, I'm not sure we'd elect them anyway; not pretty enough, not...fill-in-the-blank...
I've lately called for a mass march on DC next spring, in the millions, covering much of several bordering states, to demand major changes bringing our shit show down. There's NO way to elect ourselves to recovery, and there's NO way to repair ourselves without big change NOW.
That will never happen until WE change first.
Collectively, we have our own heads so far up our own asses about shit like 401k's, shacks, social media, and video games, we are incapable of even sensing the urgency of the times we face. We've loooong since forgotten how to raise hell en masse to exert the power uniquely ours. All we care about is...ourselves.
That proverbial One Square Foot around ME.
We worry, yes.
Be we DO precious little.
If we'd listened to the many 30-40 years ago about what was going to happen to our future, gave a damn, and rose all hell to stop it, we well might not find ourselves where we are now.
http://youtu.be/5XEziSYRqhU
Our problem and our plight doesn't have a political solution.
Our problem starts with US...and ends with US.
If it doesn't...then why bother with elections at all?
m
Fallout 4 AND need for speed next month. I'm going to be busy for a while but hey, have fun with those debates and stuff.
It's extremely important you cast your vote in the proper way, else we're all doomed.
SMOD for President, he'll finish the job the Washington Oligarchy started.
Trump/Cruz just because they will do the MOST damage to Washington
Sounds like you would have to sell personal responsibility to the entire nation for that to work.
Two chances of that happening. Time to knuckle down to reality. The US shitshow is over, just not out of momentum yet. The answer is not in the macro, but the micro - start building communities around yourselves, as self-sufficent as possible.
Think post Rome. Think personal and build provincial. That's where hope lies - not in saving a collapsing empire. Just give up that dream and start another.
Cooter, you do you.
You have just described the true WOAR that needs to be fought.
I just recently looked up how the USSR fell. On wikipedia, control+f "Moscow Loses Control." That section is surrounded by the word "balkanization."
Upon further study of that word, I realized something.
It's high time that Texas shears off of America and says "Fuck you guys! I'm not paying your taxes for your bullshit anymore!"
All it takes is a lot of individuals living in the same place, and you could make it happen Cooter. Fuck these assholes.
You do you.
Make America great again.
Ain't gonna happen.
Texas, before it became essentially a tax haven within the US, maintained a level of sanity, relative to the insanity in most other states, and relatively prospered as a result. This was the result of the nature of the boom/bust of oil and ag, which continuously taught folks how to manage their money and risk, with a little whip cream on top from the flat out fraud (remember the SNL scandal that wasn't a comedy show) that ruined people across the state.
Read that twice and let it sink in.
After it was clear it was a tax haven, companies begged/borrowed/traded/whored/bribed whatever they could get and moved the corp offices to Texas. That was the boom. They bring with them all the workers from where ever they came from, plus demand for local services after the move. That was the boom.
This is why I left Texas.
It is rapidly filling up with all of the diaper-shitting douchebags from everywhere else in the country, except Texas is the new diaper. They hate guns, they love Obama, they want free shit, and they got too damn much money because they came from grossly inflated real estate sectors (that haven't burst yet). They are overwhelmingly liberal and DO NOT represent the spirit and independence you find in native Texans/Tejanos.
Let me briefly explain what Texas WAS before all this bullshit:
Now that we got the roots out of the way, we can get on to what everyone else is:
If you go back to the 50s, a fair percentage of the population was Tejano and Texian in their roots. Today, no one is (by proportion).
Ask anyone who had a farm, property, or even a damn house within marathon distance of Austin in the 60s how much they like the Texas economy. Everyone is from "outside" because Texas is a tax haven. Austin was a sleepy college town until SemaTech parked on it and brought in vast numbers of high paying engineering gigs and destroyed the hill country.
Dallas/Ft Worth has gone from two very distinct towns and cultures to an epic non-stop sprawl of concrete, strip malls, housing developments, business parks, and rapidly shrinking green spaces. When I left it took me about two hours to go from the west side of Ft Worth to the east side of Dallas unless it was wide open interstate.
Houston has the energy curse and has grown by such proportions that I fear it might be worse than DFW (excluding mosquitoes and humidity).
And when things fall down, Texas will have DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston as major populations centers completely unable to care for themselves, full of "here from somewhere else and needing help now" yahoos.
Detroit USED to be the richest city in the US. As was New Orleans. And, IIRC, so was St Louis at one time.
There is another BIG state in the union with huge ag, (could be) huge oil, that was overrun by liberal douchebags.
Ready for it?
CALIFORNIA.
This is what is coming to Texas, just give it time. The wealth producers (i.e. the land owners) will be out voted by the out-of-state diaper-shitters who need a clean pad to soil and will suffer precisely the same fate (except we get better rainfall on a long timeline).
And, in closing, America was greatest when we had a common culture, generally Christian in its roots, and northern European work ethic. Clearly those are in our rear view mirror.
Best of luck.
Regards,
Cooter
You've just reminded me it's time for my annual screening of "Giant"
You crushed it, CC. I would only add that, in general, urbanization destroys humanity. It erodes man's finer qualities (reason, logic, independence) and makes him essentially a beast. He will require increasing guidance and sustenance from the govt. as time goes by, and that is why the liberal/progressive dream is one giant city that spans the globe. There is a reason that Lenin, Goebbels, et al. found it nearly impossible to convert "peasants" to their ideologies, and that is because non-urban people, grounded in reality, are much harder to fool (despite their popular depection): it's the urban intellectual, so sure of himself, who rushes to the front of the line and stuffs himself with tripe.
Spot on Miles. A grossly undervalued fact.
Look to the country for wisdom, to the city for polish.
Lots of things are in our your view mirror, including Texas racism, homophobia, misogyny, and xenophobia. Give it back to Mexico, and we will all be better off. Texas was seized by violent people, and their savagery remains a toxic contaminant of US politics. From LBJ to GWB, a Texan president means the unleashing of the American death machine. Sieg heil, Texas!
Agreed Coot. The colony is failing, with no Indians to bail you out this time.
No sarc.
I'm putting everything on a credit card and then leaving the country with my goods. My wife belongs to another country. Suck that DC and your banker friends.
That was an awesome rant.
8/10.
But yea, what Cooter said.
Cooter, I like reading your posts, and I have to say: don't worry about the future, at least as far as energy goes.
There's a vast amount of hydrocarbons we haven't even touched yet, and once battery technology gets a wee bit better, most of us will be driving electrics; from every engineering angle, they are more efficient (save the battery issue, which we're working on). Good battery technology means small scale wind/solar WILL be useful for things like charging your car and topping up your power wall.
There's always energy, it's just a matter of how much time and effort it takes to make it useable.
I hate watermelons with a passion but soo look forward to advanced solar and battery power, the independance of it will be gratifying.
I alway read your missives on Wolf Street. Thanks for rants on ZH - keep them coming.
Amen Cooter, hope to see you in church.
Amen Cooter, hope to see you in church.
Voting in the socialists sounds like a good way to screw up the economy and force some sanity, but it won't work.
Where you are standing right now you cannot even imagine the bottom, Bernie and his "government knows best" chums will ruin the economy for sure, but they will also throw the doors open to all and sundry to settle in America, regulate guns, remove free speech, and generally do everything to remove obstacles to the agenda of a government running everything.
Ya, but he ain't a mercan'! Der, der, der der!
Both Cruz's parents were citizens, that's what counts.
Obama's father was a foreign national which automatically disqualifies him out of the box because he was only an 'American Born', not 'Natural Born' citizen. Shitstain McCain was born in Panama but his parents were both US citizens.
I watched. Rand Paul was great and Ted Cruz (who I hate) even had a brilliant moment calling out the MSM.
You mean this pandering bullshit?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmUqzJnf8zY
These clowns are making a lot of third world political class look sophisticated. (i did not watch, highlight reel is more than enough)
"In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women." -- Anthony Montana.
"First, you get de sugar. Den, you get de power. Den, you get de women" - Homer Simpson
Cruz is a hard pipe hitting conservative what's the problem. Ted Cruz is a much better leader than you think. Obama is the neo nazi war monger you pee your pants about.
the problem with cruz is he's the type of politician that when he talks about israel, it's not even that you aren't sure whether or not he's american or israeli, he sounds straight up israeli. you get this man talking about israel and he just about seems ready to lay down every last bit of american blood and treasure for israel if need be. not to mention he was born in canada. sorry, but i would actually vote for "the bern" before i vote to give someone control of this country that so openly sucks off israel and the zionists.
Out with ALL Israeli firsters!
That's such a stupid reply, I won't even down vote you.
CNBC moderators this evening typify the nasty, disrespectful, biased, mean spirited dishonest progressive liberal democraps & their billshit agenda. Fukem all.
I trust this did not surprise you ?
"Rand Paul was great and (...)"
Rand Paul is a conformist sellout and cannot be trusted. I think it should be clear to all Ron Paul supporters by now.
Ron Paul is a Rand Paul supporter. Think about that. Their positions on the important issues (e.g the FED and sound money) are identical. Trump is a narcissist fascist like Hilery and Obama. He has no real skills, both Rand and Ron are doctors. Only Rand wants to dismantle the NSA and TSA. Trump does understand and practice bankrupcy which could come in handy when we have to default and crash the fake economy once and for all.
"Ron Paul is a Rand Paul supporter."
As a good father he is. Unfortunately, it cannot be said about Rand Paul himself as Ron's son. He disgracefully endorsed Mitt Romney instead of his father in 2012 Presidential Election. Apparently, he did not share his father's opinions but Romney's.
"Their positions on the important issues (e.g the FED and sound money) are identical."
And this is about where their official common positions converge and end.
"Trump is a narcissist fascist like Hilery and Obama."
Populist - yes, fascist - not so much. A privileged populist I must add. Remember Pat Buchanan? He was also smeared as a fascist, nazi apologist and isolationist for his not PC views on WW2 history and the U.S. participation in it
"He has no real skills, both Rand and Ron are doctors."
No real skills? You must be kidding. Btw, medical skills are not necessarily part of the President of the U.S. job description.
"Only Rand wants to dismantle the NSA and TSA."
He talks the talk but does not walk the walk.
"Trump does understand and practice bankrupcy which could come in handy when we have to default and crash the fake economy once and for all."
I am in agreement with you on this one.
I don't plan on voting or supporting in any way this shit-show we got going but that link to Paul being a "sellout" is exaggeating things a bit...he (and every other big name you'd associate as being conservative/right/Republican/whatever) No Voted. Sure, he could have voted Nay but even if he and all the other RINO's did, it still would have passed easily. That doesn't make it right but you paint it as if Rand was in support of CISA or something when that is simply not the case.
That isn't Trump's real account above, it's a parody.
Why did NBC’s Harwood lie about debate length?
Scolded Trump: ‘For the record, the debate was always going to be two hours’
http://tinyurl.com/pge5gn6
Rand: Brilliant call on Florina being the terminator from T-3 ! I knew I had seen her somewhere before ...
That Trump tweet is from a fake account...
The content of the message is still valid though...
I could only tolerate about 20 mins of that debacle...
Too bad Megan Smelly wasn't there. Did they fire her?
Wrong network. Kelly is on FOX. And by the way, she spells her first name "Megyn." You know, the feminist spelling. Gyn as in gynecological. As in "She had blood coming out of her...whatever."
damned whimyn..
I hope so...no one talks to the Bush crime family like that and lives to tell about it
I thought that was good line from Huckabee, "I fought the Clinton machine and won. And lived to tell about it".
That's weird.... I didn't even watch the debate
Should be noted as parody in the original ZH post. Hey guys: TRUMP TWEET IS FAKE.
The conclusion is that CNBC sucks. Especially that total fucking nothing John Harwood
Hahaha. You said John Hardwood.
Best comment of the night, with the same genius as "Beavis and Butthead."
Even better if his name was Dick Hardwood
On the one hand there are tweets, polls, debates and primaries. On the other hand are delegates, the party bosses, corporations and money.
Jeb! is very, very strong in the "other hand".
And, as needed, a little bit of well, you know.
Heh ha heh heh...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1agaZinJHg
Did he always do the heavy black frame glasses thing? I notice they always do that when they are jacking off with cactus gloves.
Would be curious if CogDis or anyone else can comment on why that is an image they like to turn on/off, but it is a definate observable behavior when shit gets messy/dicey.
Regards,
Cooter
Carl Quintanilla quesadilla might be an illegal Mexican, check his green card!
CNBC should have and could have done way better than this (Santelli excluded). But this was a clear attempt to unseat Trump et al for a more establishment candidate. The amount of time they gave Casek given his relative standing - didn't warrant it. CNBC fucked up wors than CNN and who could have thought that was possible? And wasn't it awesome how, in the end, the only ones that looked stupid were the 3 asshat moderators. I felt like punching harwood in the face by the end of it all - just saying.
Santelli asked about the Fed! God love him. And damn the rest of CNBC to hell.
Yes, all three of those CNBC people were totally awful. I absolutely hate Quintanilla, a totally incompetent ass to replace Mark Haines. Harwood is a seething fucking progressive shill piece of shit. Becky Quick sucks Buffetts wrinkled cock for interview time so she is just a nonentity.
+100 Mark Haines. He was the fucking best! Fuck I used to like it when he called people out on shit. The 3 twits moderating tonight would do well to rerun some of those shows and learn how not to look like you're sucking somebody's cock when you're interviewing them.
I also stopped watching CNBC when Haines died. It is disturbing to imagine that as the WW2/GD generation passes on America will end up like CNBC in its current state.
The adults have left the building...
I stopped watching couple years before he died, and not just CNBC.
Mark Haines was the guy who had actually done business/finance shit in the real world, just like Santelli. As a result he could smell bullshit a mile away, which brought a groundedness and reality to CNBC morning programming. I can't stand to watch more than 5 minutes of the manic idiot Cramer now that he's the "marquee" draw. RIP Mark, you are sadly missed.
Cruz on Hannity: Why can't we have a debate moderated by Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh?
That would be an awesome debate to watch while jabbing knitting needles in ones eyes and ears.
And a bowling ball in one's penis.
My guess is that it would nicely fill 5 hours of airtime, without complaint.
Would like to see the democrats have a debate moderated by those three! I would watch that on pay-per-view.
f that, I would have loved to have seen oderus interview them
I'd love to watch them being fed feet first into a wood chipper. I don't give a fuck who interviews them.
I thought the biggest point was made by Trump. We need to get rid of super pacs. We can't have the President of the United States beholden to special interests. Its the only way to reduce big money in the Presidential election campaigns. I'm probably being naive to believe we can still reform the beast we call the Federal Government. I wonder how many of these candidates would want to rely on sound money if they knew how much sound money the government actually posses within its vaults. Surprise ...we're broke.
If any person ever elected actually tried to reform the government in any meaningful way, they would experience the same fate as JFK.
Yes, this was the one good thing about seeing Ron Paul not win, is that he is still alive.
The only way to "reform" the Federal Government is at the end of your gun ...
And we have a winner! Well done Dirk! Proof positive I'm not the only sane man left on planet Earth.
Oh FFS, this is sophomore bong-hit deep thinking. Super PACs exist because water flows downhill - it's an effect, not a cause. You outlaw Super PACs and the money will find other ways to flow, always one or more steps ahead of the FEC or any other regulatory body. Witness Google CEO Eric Schmidt. He's one of the pioneers of "companies" that lose money in service to a particular party or candidate. He mines voter data and generates GOTV strategies via his company, "The Groundwork", a company which only Hillary can hire and which will "lose" millions upon millions. He will contribute far, far more to Hillary via this fake start-up than he could possibly do thru conventional campaign channels. And Hillary will repay him a hundred times over with mass H1B's (as will Rubio do the same w/ greencards and the Chamber of Commerce).
The same goes for various media outlets. How exactly did Hillary's SNL gig a couple weeks back differ from an ad buy? What the hell was the deal with the CNBC debate moderators tonight? NBC/Comcast is a public, for-profit company. Do you really think they would knowingly alienate half the country if there wasn't some crony reward on the backend? Comcast is not retarded - they properly calculate that if they promote Hillary on their loss-leading media properties she will reward their million dollar losses with billion dollar gains elsewhere.
The only way to remove money from the politcal arena is to remove a politician's power to redistribute said money. Grow the fuck up.
Trumps point was good. Rubio's was more in their face. Too bad he was in the gang of 8. He's got some fire.
So how did George Pataki do ???
Probably still smoldering from his tiff with William Shatner.
Oh wait, who did you say?
If people love America they need to stop letting Huckabee poll higher than the cutoff point...
The next time I hear him pander to old people by saying he will spend like a drunken sailor to cure their diseases I am going to send a gang of young kids to punch him in the face.
The Democratic Party Debate is that way Huckabee! ----->
Huckabee the friendly fascist, the iron saxophone in the velvet glove. He's running for Christian Ayatollah and not US President.
My old man is a retired Vietnam era (drafted) vet who lives in AR. He calls him Mike Fuckabee or a fallen preacher (or both plus some really choice southern colloquial shit I can't post here - if he is a few beers in).
To be clear, Fuckabee used to be Governor of AR for damn near 10 years.
Fuckabee is like Palin - they have enough appeal to make an income essentially being performers rather than actually DOING anything. Like any politician, they run to the front of the crowd and pretend to represent/lead - but don't really give a shit about the crowd.

How did CNBC get this debate in the first place?
And once they got it how did they bungle it so badly? The moderators were snotty, overconfident, and just plain stupid instigators. They were trying to act like they understood the issues when all they were doing was trying to gratuitously antagonize the candidates.
They earned the backlash they got. The candidates crossed the Rubicon. Without realizing it they took control of the debate and put the smarties in their place. One ambush after another. The moderaters were knocked off their cute little games and never really recovered. What a smack down.
What the candidates really did was completely undermine what control the mods had over the debate, indicating that they would no longer tolerate their impudence. The audience was in agreement. From now on the media had better know what they are asking and ask relevant, well researched questions that affect American society or face more of the same pushback.
+ a million
+ a million more
Yea, their vast and expert knowledge of markets and finance should have been a great prerequiste.
What I found interesting was the cheers from the audience for the disrespect from the contestants towards the to the bone pinko moderators and the boos at the gotcha's from the moderators.
In Colorado no less.
I will have to change my opinion on Colorado,
I thought they had gone full libtard with the legalization of marijuana.
Wonders never cease. I'm gonna need more pop corn.
"How did CNBC get this debate in the first place?"
They lied and said they would be fair and impartial.
There were some out of bound questions CNBC. The one from little suck me susie...why did Mark Rubio cash in one of his 401Ks. I would love for him to say...cause I don't trust 401Ks and thought buying Gold was a better oppty then investing in stocks for 30 fucking years.
I thought Fiorina, Cruz, Rubio & Carson were fantastic. I thought the others were pretty solid as well. If you think Hillary or Bernie Sanders are fit to lead, you're a fucking dope.
Cruz and Rubio probably helped themselves. Trump was fine. Carson was meh? Bush was slighted on time and was weak. Others did not do much to move out of low single digits. A lot of Republican cliches to complain about government - but poor questions kept most from telling what they would actually do.
It was recently reported that Ben Carson was leading the Trumpster in Iowa. The latest Drudge Report poll has Trump handily leading all GOP contenders, including Carson. As I commented after the first GOP shindig, there is the Trumpster and the GOP losers.
So I'm supposed to pick someone from this pile?
I'm just going to write my own name in.
My promise if elected:
Send black ops teams to take out every single Fed board member along with the heads of every bank. Mail Yellen's head to Lord Rothschild and then crash our fleet of drones into the next Bildeberg meeting.
Then I'll invite Xi Jinping over and shake his hand. Tell him all of this back and forth is pointless and stupid. We should work together to strengthen our economies instead of racing down the spiral to Armageddon.
Next I'll drop all of our nuclear waste on Israel as retaliation for 9/11.
Then I'll turn off the EBT cards and watch the millions of useless eaters die. I'll give them a choice though. Stay in the USA and starve, or take a free flight back to Africa or Latin America.
No more Fed. No more Wall Street. No more useless eaters. Pretty much the second coming of Eden.
May I loan you my pen? Can't loan you my phone. Don't own one. Sry!
The act of campaigning is itself psychotic. Men like Washington were begged to be president by the men around him, and reluctantly obliged for the good of the country.
Now we have to choose from among a shitpile of idiots, psychopaths, and errand boys of the oligarchs and moneychangers.
+ A MILLION
You can't win without name reconition, but Holy shit thats the exact platform we need!
You should sent that platform to Trump as an advisor to his campaign.
Deez Nutz states unequivically that He's in it for the 'long' haul!
All you have to do now adr is get some good ol' boys with guns to back you up, some funding in the back pocket and you'll blow Trump off the fucking stage.
Run on that platform at debates like this. Watch the crowd go apeshit, the media choke to death on their own indignation and the other pollies bolt for the door as the realize one by one you fucking mean it.
Asshat moderators can lick my balls, sweaty balls
I thought Christie and Paul had good moments that might give them a boost from their low numbers.
It became pretty obvious to everyone that CNBC wants Cruz, Fiorina or Rubio (Wall Street friendly types) and tried to structure the debates around them. I think this will backfire as CNBC is always so blatant about their agenda. There is a reason CNBC ratings are in the toilet. Carson and Trump will maintain their lead as a result.
I was VERY surprised how bad ALL the closing statements were. This is apparently what you get when you have 14 f*cking candidates.
Repubs were united tonight against Hillary, the Fed and Media. Cruz was the winner calling out the three stooges who acted like jokesters. All Trump had to do was show up and shut up for which he had little choice because he was intentially given little air time; denial is fading that Teflon Don will win the Primary. Well done. Except Bush who finished last according to the recent Drudge Poll results. That's the way it should be; the only bush I trust is my own.
The IRS and code should be job one on day one.
That would be a good start
You only need to change one thing: eliminate mandatory withholding laws.
Fiorina: Reduce the tax code to three pages.
Moderators...flummoxed.
There is a disturbance in the farce, the rebel public is awakening. QUICK, apply more false flags to distract them into FEAR........ and get the capital controls READY !!
Jeb.. try free ice cream.
"CNBC should be ashamed of how this debate was handled," Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement the RNC issued after the debate. He called the moderators' questioning "exceptionally unfortunate."
"exceptionally unfortunate."
Well its obvious he is an establishment PC correct politician. Fuck him!!!
So. Pubis will follow up with a stern letter and the GOPe will schedule a debate with CNBC every election cycle. It's inclusive, don't you see.
The f ucking EVIL liberal communist media aka Clinton News Network, or Communist News Network, a long with tonight POS network Communist News B ullshit Center should never ever be given the opportunity to hold another Republican debate.
This growing desperation for a new "leader" is a sign of a collective cluelessness, and an inappropriate and dangerous trajectory.
I don't think I'll ever understand the herd mentality.
The very idea of allowing some 'authority' to tell me what to do, how to do it and what to think is completely and utterly repulsive to me.
It is also exceptionally unfortunate
that the only way to watch the debate was to have made a prior contribution to a video network carrier / Time Warner / Comcast. Money-grubbing bastards, all. Repiglicans.
Actually, this pretty well sums up the evening with The Donald and the Boys in Red
There's no business like show business
If you tell me it's so
Traveling through the country is so thrilling
Standing out in front on opening nights
Smiling as you watch the benches filling
And see your billing up there in lights
There's no people like show people
They smile when they are low
Even with a turkey that you know will fold
You may be stranded out in the cold
Still you wouldn't trade it for a sack o' gold
Let's go on with the show
The show!
The show must go on.
The ONLY thing that is important is The Show - we are but poor viewers sitting in the audience ... ect cetera, ect cetera, ect cetera.
This pre-election bullshit goes on for another entire year ! Doomed, we are. (quote is from Annie, Get Your Gun) Apropos
Republicans? You must not have listened to the Dem Whit Debate.
Every election the GOP allows Liberal from the MSM to moderate these debates. Why? It would be like Rush Limbaugh moderating the dem debate. It would be hysterical to watch.
It is old as it is predictable. Why do they put up with it? What would cnbc's rating have been w/o the debate this evening? Jack shit is the answer.
Even FOX had to go the extra mile to show everybody how unbiased they are by treating each candidate like a perp from To Catch A Preditor. "Why don't you have a seat? Go ahead. Sit down."
Bow!
Bow!
Bow to the oppressive masters of the mainstream liberal media!
I couldn't help but lol when Fiorina started ranting against crony capitalism. You ran HP. You are literally crony capitalism incarnate. You are completely disqualified to talk about how crony capitialism is out of control in the US when you directly benefited from it.
This is the problem with the GOP; they are wolves in sheeps' clothing. At least Democrats openly admit they are statists.
I don't know ... It takes one to know one.
STFU.

They all should be using the term 'crony socialism.'
H1b visa Queen. She never met a Pakistani she didn't want to hire.
I think most Americans just don't give a damn anymore. Politics ... It's all bullshit. Doesn't make a damn what any of the clowns say now; once they arrive in office they get their orders and ignore the people.
This election will show a very low voter turnout. The biggest voting block will be a vote of "no confidence" in the charade.
This is actually a fear of the political class. If a president takes office (or any official really) and the turnout is very low, but the candidate gets the majority of the low turnout, the whole notion that they have a mandate to govern is in question - and thus their power can be limited.
Imagine if only 25% of the voting public turned out, AssholeA got elected, and then started doing shit like ObamaCare (or the Bush Medicare crap), there is a 75% base out there that could go gonzo on them. It won't be all of the 75%, but it could easily be more than a majority.
Things start to get messy when that happens. The backlash hits the fan and then the agenda gets ROLLED BACK once the non-voters realize they are running the show. And then, change starts happening that isn't controlled change ...
Regards,
Cooter
This election will show a very low voter turnout.
I disagree. Low turnout among men but record turnout among women. Once inside the voting booth, women will be sorely tempted to say "Fuck it, I want a woman President", regardless of character, qualifications or platform.
The only way to attack this is by nominating Ben Carson.
You could always write-in Sarah Palin...
This shitstorm will continue on its downward tragectory until either:
1. The State collapses completely due to massive unsustainable corruption.
2. The informed minority get fed up, lock and load and go get some.
Anything else will not head this fucker off. Read some history, this IS how it will play out.
Royals win!
Raise the retirement age. ROFLMAO
They already have,,, boomers like me saving and counting on some interest are now working well past retirement age of 66.
The FEDS NIRP and QE have destroyed it all.
Any mention of reducing that monster military supporting the MIC? Not a peep.
Any mention of a solution to bring back the production and jobs? Not a peep
Any mention of controlling the borders? Nah
Just more bullshit for the mushrooms.
Congress Is Killing The File-And-Suspend And Restricted Application Social Security Strategies

Did you watch the whole debate?
Half of what you cited as missing was, in fact, discussed. Not much, but given the context of the "debate", they were raised.
Can't wait until they force your retirement investments into Gov treasuries. Now that will be profitable....
