Dramatic Footage From The Syrian War In Aleppo And Palmyra
Back in May, ISIS seized the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra, a UNESCO world heritage site.
The world immediately began to panic at the prospect of the city’s destruction at the hands of Islamic State. Since then, there have been various reports which indicate ISIS has in fact decimated a few treasures of antiquity and indeed, some of that destruction reportedly involved tying prisoners to ancient columns and then subsequently blowing them up (that "intelligence" comes from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights so one should take it with a grain of salt).

Palmyra is but one key city the Assad regime and its Russian and Iranian allies are attempting to retake. Others include Aleppo, where Hezbollah and IRGC forces are fighting under cover of Moscow's warplanes to wrest control from a hodgepodge of rebels and militants.
Over the past few weeks, we've brought you images from the front lines including snapshots of Iran's most powerful general rallying Shiite militias ahead of the push north towards Aleppo, visuals from inside the city, and high-def drone footage which gives you an idea of what it's like to live in a war zone.
Below, we present two videos. The first shows pro-regime forces advancing on Palmyra and the second puports to document rebels fighting to keep control of Aleppo.

hey asshole -
worry more about Israeli fighter pilots being shot down over Lebanon or Syria than about Ivan's fight against US, Saudi, and Israeli backed terror mercs.
"I'll look forward to the videos of missiles taking down Russian helicopters too"
Note again - another Israel Firster troll, ROOTING FOR ISIS AGAINST ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN RUSSIA.
ISIS is Zionism's golem.

I see your contact with the real world is quite minimal. Here's a brief note from reality - I really hate ISIS, and enjoy watching Russians kill them.
This is one of those rare wars where humanity is improved by deaths on either side.
"This is one of those rare wars where humanity is improved by deaths on either side"
Yeah, goyim killing goyim - what's not to like, right Finkelstein? Go stuff an oven with your carcass. I hope your illegitimate mockie state and that Hitler lover Netanyahu gets out of line just a little bit and the Russians shit all over them.
Now you write
"humanity is improved by deaths on either side."
So you are *hoping* Russians die fighting ISIS.
and why is *that*?
Because you are a Jewish Supremacist, Zionut.
It's you and people like you that are most of the problem.
And more evidence that all the hate aimed at Russia and Putin is largely coming from Zionist Jews still sore that Putin disgorged much of their ill-gotten wealth.
And for all this - I don't wish harm to the average Israeli or Jew who has fuck all to do with this warmongering and hate.
to do so would be to make me as bad as Jewish Supremacist scum like you.
Still cheering for the headcutters, eh?
I think I saw McCain in that ISIS bunker playing Gen Patton
I'm presuming that the "ukraine wikileaks" story was disinfo - but it's something that certainly 'could' happen.
John McCain is a traitor to the United States, as was his father, and he should be tried and then executed for multiple counts of treason.
does the western elites know what they have done? you betcha.... and they could give a god damn about it.
Happy Turkish Republic Day, btw
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_Day_(Turkey)
I hope they enjoy the coming war.
Should be "Happy Donmeh CryptoJews Young Turks Revolution Day" shouldn't it? I mean, Ataturk DID go to a Jewish Effendi school as a kid...
How ironic, considering the Turks are using Ottoman methods to deal with Assad -- namely, the mass evacuation of Syrian populations into Europe, away from the battlezone, where every man and boy is needed in the Syrian Arab Army to fight the crazies. Its just what they did to the Armenians 100 years ago. Of course, back then, they dumped em into a desert without food or water. This time, they're forced marching their victims into Angela Merkel's bosom.
Sadly the SAA seems to be extremely weak - even with thousands of allied soldiers participating in the battles. After more than a month of bombing and close air support by Russian jets and helicopters Assad's forces have made miniscule gains, and last week the rebel forces/ISIS managed to begin counter offensives. It's difficult to believe Russian messages of widespread destruction of rebel/ISIS munitions and equipment when TOW missiles prey on Assad's armor and light vehicles almost on a daily basis and check points on supply routes are overrun with ease supported by heavy artillery. So far Assad's forces have managed exactly zero major breakthroughs on any front. Of course war is often a last straw scenario, once opposition forces reach a breaking point a sudden collapse is a possibility - however no such breaking point is in sight so far.
May I ask on which sources you rely for this assessment?
Because it is fairly different from what I've read.
Which parts of my assessment do you disagree with specifically?
I follow Militarymaps and SAA reporters on twitter.
I don't specifically agree or disagree with anything. Just asking for the basis/bases for this rather dire assessment of a few weeks of Russian/Iranian/Iraqi/Syrian action against the US/Saudi/Israeli proxy mercs.
The Russian intervention achieved the goal of saving Assad's butt, that's for sure so the situation is not as dire as it was just two months ago. Any acute threat to the government is gone and the SAA & allies have managed to change the situation from constantly losing ground to trading blows. However the surprise shock and awe effect of Russian intervention is gone and after laying low and assessing the situation ISIS has begun to move quite aggressively in the past week or so. We'll have to wait and see for a few weeks to see if the rebels/ISIS can keep up pressure and mount new offensives.
I'm sure the Israelis and the Americans are feeding lots of intel to their ISIS and NUSRA assets - to be expected.
However, apart from shock and awe, 'ISIS' now actually has a modern military jamming their comms, fucking up their supply lines, and periodically destroying, with great alacrity, their arms caches, etc.
I think you're being a bit too cynical.

I'll also bet that not everyone in the US intel community is *against* the Russian effort here.
The US and its allies have zero legal or moral ground on which to continue the violence. This is about destroying Syria as a functioning state.
and that's not about Qatari pipes, my friend.
That's {primarily for the US Deep State} about Greater Israel.

I hope I am, but it's up to the SAA and allies to prove they can make real gains. Once I see news of Assad retaking Salma, pushing the southern Aleppo offensive closer to the M5, lifting the siege of Kuweyres air base or making progress on the Homs pockets I'll believe it really has regained the upper hand. So far lifting the siege seems like a real possibility in the near future, so something good from that front.
so as to spread the blame around a bit more thoroughly and fairly...
